I have yet to visit the doctors office but made my first call to book an appointment for myself my fiancé and my newborn as new family doctor patients. I was not given any background on my doctor and had to even ask the doctors name before I was rushed off the phone. I was interrupted to be put on hold multiple times during the call and as I was answering questions like name and phone number I was also interrupted. I’m not too sure what to make of the office yet as I have not visited yet. But as for phone etiquette I’m not very pleased. This is not convincing me to leave my current family Doctor Who is just simply too far for me to travel with a newborn.
Dont know how to delete my last review but as soon as i left the review someone called me and apologized for the bad service. She then booked me in for another appointment and it was great service. Dr. Kamran spent time telling me about the practice and her services and listened to my concerns. Just had my first appointment and hoping the others go just as smooth.
Telephone call appointments only? What's the point of being open at all. Useless. Edit: excuse me but I DID CALL and that's exactly what I was told. No walk-ins for stitches which you said you offer as a service. Now because of your inability to share information we have to waste our time at the ER. Will never consider this clinic in future.
I do not recommend dr Manpreet Gill. He doesn't really care about his patients and makes you feel unwelcome and even guilty for wasting his precious time. He wouldn't sign a requisition for a paid covid antibody test for no reason, he decided over a phone that I don't need it. They also seem very chaotic with booking appointments and communication, I've sent them documents over the email and never received any confirmation even though I reminded them twice.

The receptionist is nice, doctor on the other hand needs to bring his ego down a bit, be nice to people. You're a doctor of course, but that doesn't mean anyone who isn't as educated or wealthy as you doesn't deserve to be treated nicely. Afterall people pay you to get your service.
I went to a doctor yesterday in the morning and she didn't seem to really care and she was in a rush. So later on I went to hospital and the ER doctor told me her diagnose of my ear was wrong and gave oral medicine. If I had not gone to the E.R my ear would have got worse. The fact of the matter is that if you care for your patients this will not happen. I will not be going again and risk my well being. Best of luck on your practice.

I can’t believe this amazing walk is so close to my house .This place is managed really well ,and everybody is very pleasant to talk to at this facility .The doctors were knowledgeable and helpful .But the star of this clinic is the lady at their front desk .She is always smiling ,willing to help and cares about the patients .i really appreciate how the three times I have been here that she asks me how my day is going ,checks my blood pressure and is prompt to help .During my last visit she took my blood pressure which was quite high because I was getting results for my blood work and was very nervous about .She told me to get pressure checked again after the appointment as my numbers were not good for a 26 year old male .Thankfully nothing came up in my blood test and my blood pressure became normal. I am really glad that she was very observant and concerned about me and made sure I was okay before I went home .To the people who run this clinic make sure you don’t let this lady go .You have no idea how nice it is meet a person who is so positive and caring in their demeanour .As most of us are used to dealing with extremely rude and uncaring reception staff at other clinics .
Dr Kamran is the most compassionate, caring doctor I’ve ever had! She puts her heart into everything she does... And genuinely cares about each and every patient! It will be impossible to ever find another doctor who will care as much as Doctor Kamran!
Dr. Manpreet Gill is not a good doctor. He is never able to diagnose the illness quickly like an experienced doctor would do by looking at the symptoms, instead he will ask you to undergo several tests unnecessarily. I would not recommend this doctor to anyone. If you are visiting this clinic, always try if you can get an appointment with Dr. Kamran
Dr Kamran is AMAZING! Very professional,compassionate and knowledgeable. Sam the receptionist is also great, very attentive to patient's needs. This is where the positive ends . Dr Gill needs to work on his bedside manner and update his pediatric knowledge. Every time he sees my daughter and she has a fever, he says its due to teething. hmmmm Im pretty sure if you look up medical references (up to date, medscape etc.) nowhere will fever be a sign of teething. Needles to say he misdiagnosed a few times. The other receptionists are a nightmare!!!! Very unprofessional and incompetent. The management needs to seriously address the common issues that have been raised such as unprofessional and incompetent staff, instead of just attacking reviewers. THis is an easy fix and would improve the care and professional look of the clinic. If this happens, I am more than happy to change my rating. Until then.
Wait time is way less than other clinics in the area. Doctor is very professional, staff was helpful.
Serious wait time. I made an appointment at 3 to see the doctor. Waited an hour before I walked out. Patients before me had waited longer than 1.5 hours before they walked out too. Staff kept saying one doctor is out because of COVID and it's out of their control. But if there is serious delays, they should not keep on taking walk in or keep on making appointments for later time. The staff perfectly knew 4:15 appointment would not be on time, but still they took on. Bad management and total disrespect for other people's time.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, My wife had an appointment for when they were supposed to call, but we did not hear from them. We called the next day to make another appointment and they said they called twice, but they did not. The next day, when we made the appointment they still did not call, we called them back 5 min after closing and the doctor finally spoke to my wife. She asked her why she was calling them was rushing to get an appointment trying to see a doctor as if she needed urgent help. The doctor was rude, obnoxious, inconsiderate, and hung up refusing to provide care. Phone call was recorded and will be escalating/reporting this clinic to a higher authority.
Excellent experience. The staff are very cooperative and professional, same goes for the doctor. Dr.Sarwat is a very attentive listener and takes her time with every patient. She makes sure that all your concerns are understood. Furthermore, she takes her time to simply explains things without all the medical jargon. Would definitely make her my family doctor.
It's getting impossible to get an appointment here. I understand that it is a walk-in clinic and the desk would be busy with new patients but there should be a system to entertain the existing patients also - may be divide work between 2-3 people or an online portal to book appointment or something? Also the clinic wants to discuss one issue at a time. I have literally waited 30- 40 mins to be able to talk to the receptionist these days. How do you expect people to wait forever to get the appointment and then leave within minutes? May be ask how many issues you want to discuss and book the appointment duration accordingly? Otherwise friendly staff incl. all docs, just needs some organization badly!

Well run clinic! Excellent MD! I was a Sunday morning walk-in, the clinic opened at 10 am and I just wanted the doctor to look into my ear to see if I had damaged it or it is still enflamed from a recent cold. I had never been a patient before, but I was greeted by the receptionist when I walked in and saw the doctor in 20 minutes. The doctor looked in my ear and we discussed what my loss of hearing might be, but most likely was still due to the cold. I just need to give it some more time to clear out. I'm so relieved it's not an ear infection. Thank you to the clinic for being open on Sunday. I am so relieved and grateful for your time.
Amazing experience! The office is very clean and neat, the staff is very helpful with everything, and the doctor is very smart and intelligent and an expert in her field. Everyone is willing to help out there! Definitely a place where I would bring my whole family!

This place is awful. Neither the dense receptionist or the doctor has any idea what they are doing. It’s absolutely baffling this place is still around and terrifies me that these people are responsible for other people’s health care. Steer clear or use at your own risk!! This has nothing to do with wait times.
My 2 years old daughter was quite sick. I went to halton medix the receptionist was in a personal phone call and she did not take me seriously and that was kind of rude but ok. She took the temperature wrong saying that my daughter did not have fever ( she had 40 C fever). After that Doctor Gill barely pay attention to the symptoms and send us home. We asked again if they can check the temperature because something did not make sense. The assistant did it again and this time they send us to the emergency room to the hospital. My daughter has pneumonia, it is not professional to send parents home and the next minute to the emergency room. We explained all the symptoms and they are quite clear when is pneumonia if they actually care to diagnose. Please unless Dr Kamran see you do not trust either the receptionist or the Doctor Gill.
I am a patient of Dr. Kamran for a number of years now. Dr Kamran is knowledgeable and my family and I have received good service from Halton Medix pre COVID time. But I feel recently something has changed. I tried calling the clinic, no one picked up. Their voicemail said they will call back in 2 days. It has been more than more than 2 weeks, I haven’t heard back from them. My husband is also a patient of Dr. Kamran and tried calling to them. He left a voicemail more than 2 weeks ago and still waiting to hear back. We are now looking to change our family doctor. It is unfortunate cause I liked Dr. Kamran but Halton Medix probably has shortage of receptionist or admin staff but whoever deals with phone calls, appointments is completely useless.
I took my kids who were having cold symptoms on Sunday afternoon at 12.25 PM. There was no greetings to begin with. Lady at the front desk kept on lowering her gaze for at least five minutes. I didn't draw her attentions thinking she is busy for a moment. She got up with her coffee mug went to the back to clean it, came back and said we are closed. No sign at the desk and hours says they open till 1 PM.! Never again for myself and a warning for others.
(0/10) I went here for an orthotics appointment, I ended up waiting a whole hour just to have a doctor sign the approval and the appointment never happened because an hour passed by. I yelled at the front desk and left. DONT GO HERE!
I'd give this a place a 0 if I could. The way Sarwat spoke to my father was absolutely sickening and ridiculous. My father wanted to book a simple appointment and the front desk girl keeps asking "regarding what" which is a first time hearing this. But even then she continued digging deeper into his case as if she was the doctor. My dad gave a high level detail to her and she kept nagging him for more information. Medical information and history should be confidential and personal yet they insist the front desk know EVERYTHING. It had been 5 minutes and the front desk lady kept saying regarding what and more tell me more, but no she insisted on nagging more and then finally my dad got frustrated and then she says my dad yelled at her, she still wouldnt book the appointment and hung up. Maybe she doesn't know how to do her job to book an appointment but seriously baffling that she couldn't book a simple appointment. If you book an appointment be warned front desk will know as much detail About your medical history and case as the doctor in this clinic.
Highly incompetent staff in Milton location. I have NO complaint against the doctor. Dr Huma Naveed is a very nice doctor. The other doctors are good too but they keep covering their staff member. My mother had an X-ray in October, and doctor's office complains they haven't received from lab where as lab says they had sent it in October. And now the doctor complains call the lab and follow up. Everyone knows lab sends the results directly to doctor office. It is not patient's responsibility to run after labs. My father, in his first appointment, was left waiting in the room for 1.5 hours -- yes -- 1.5 hours where the doctor had NO clue a patient is waiting. The rep didn't even bother telling the doctor there is a patient waiting. Oh yes, she is sooooo busy, always on the phone, as if providing health line support to entire Canada.

I went to the clinic with a burn in my right hand. It was closing time. I was told the consulting charge for seeing doctor without health card is 80$ . I gave 100$ bill and since I was in great pain I didnt bother to check the receipt she gave me. After getting medicine saw that I was billed for 100$ instead of 80$. And they left by then after closing . The doctor was nice and professional but that was really unprofessional work by the receptionist lady. I’m not coming back and argue for that 20$ you can keep it

Always listens, takes his time and truly cares. I will never find a new doctor as long as he is in practice. No matter where we live. My kids love him even when getting nedles.
I've been to this practice on 3 occasions and each time the staff have been rude and lack any communication skills what so ever. Theg put you in a room and take your bp with no explanation. Waited 40 minutes to be seen despite the practice being empty. It's even stressful to make a simple appointment as the receptionist seems completely incompetent. I will not be returning which is a shame as it's a 2 minute walk and now having to find an alternative practice. Very disappointing service. Need to re-train front of house staff on simple communication.

Love Dr. Kamran and staff. They are friendly, courteous and more than willing to go out of their way to assist you in anyway they can. Dr. Kamran is a doctor that takes the time to listen and address your concerns. Not many doctors do that today. Would encourage anyone to utilize this practice.

Dr Gill is simply a wonderful physician. He takes the time to listen to all of your concerns, and is somehow also efficient and quick. I never feel rushed when meeting with him, and I very much appreciate that he always ends off our visits with “is there anything else I can help you with today?” It’s a nice touch and really shows that he cares for his patients. I also really like his front receptionist that’s usually there... Samra? She always has a smile on her face, is quick and efficient, and very polite to me. She always asks how I’m doing, especially with school as I’m a university student. And she’s recently added a nice little touch to the end of all of her phone calls. Instead of saying “take care, bye” shes now adding in “stay safe”, which I really value and appreciate. I can tell she really enjoys her job and is passionate about Halton Medix. Please, doctor Gill, and all other physicians working at Halton Medix, give this woman a promotion or a raise or some sort of recognition. I’ve interacted with a few other receptionists, and they don’t even compare to Samra. Samra is very special and I always try to book my appointments with her because she’s friendly and gets the job done. The other receptionists could take a lead out of Samra’s book. Cannot recommend this doctor enough. He will not disappoint. I trust him with my health, and ultimately, my life.
bad follow-up , you have to call many times to get your service done even for simple things like getting your prescription or any documents you need. last week I struggled the whole day to get the prescription and today it is 10:00pm already and they haven't sent me the form that I need.if there is minus rate I would give them. Ofcourse they will blame covid 19.
Doctors are good and nice, but the assistant on the phone is unfriendly, unhelpful, does not give support. Just wanted a prescription that I have to collect on a regular basis and wanted to know if I have to wait long or when I can come in to pick it up fast. She just gave me the opening times and no support or idea on how we can handle such things fast and efficient.
after recently moving to Burlington I searched google for the best rated walk in and halton medix came up... But the biggest mistake of mine was going to this joke of a place called a "Clinic". wouldn't say anything else 1 star says it all!

Amazing first experience. The staff is extremely helpful and co-operative. The doctors are very diligent and attentive. The clinic is organized and equipped with the latest medical equipment. I would recommend this clinic for anyone looking for a good family doctor or a quick walk in.

The docs here are okay but the staff is somewhat difficult. I see that the "manager" here believes a mention of strong accents to be "racist". I know that have an accent as I am from Germany. That has nothing to do with "race". It is the overly defensive "manager" that has brought race into the discussion here.
I was considering going to this clinic. However, from the unprofessional and condescending way they respond to the negative comments makes me believe that those same comments might have some truth to them. I certainly will not be using their services. Your answer to my comment just proved me right. My comment is not fake but constructive in nature. What I do with my time is none of your own business.

My wife and I were very impressed with the thorough steps to ascertain reasons and solutions to identify my recent issues by Dr. Kamran. Lab work was extensive, checking muliptle potential issues which were well covered and accounted for on My Summary recap. Thanks for the effort and assistance through the entir visit. Excellent
Dr. Kamran is by far the best doctor I've ever had. She really listens to you instead of jumping to conclusions or placing judgement. I was feeling unwell for a while, and while other doctors attributed it to other things including my lifestyle (which I assured them was healthy), she looked more critically and thoroughly to find out I had an autoimmune disease that required attention and treatment. I am forever grateful for her compassion and insight.
AVOID AVOID AVOID I called at 5:30 today. No one answered ???? I assumed they were too busy to answer so then I showed up at 5:45 (it is a walk in clinic right ) and their posted hours stated they are open until 7pm SEE attached picture **** the owner went and changed the hours after this post and writing a nasty reply (as the photos show.. the office was EMPTY. As I proceeded to enter ( literally 1 foot in the door without even saying hi how are you... the lady behind the desk said. We don't take walk ins. Because I see looking at the companies response they blame the "potential patient" for all their own short falls . How can there be sooo many dissatisfied patients? Here is a summary of my complaints.. 1. I confirm what many other's complained to be true matches my experience 2. They don't answer the phone ( even when office is empty ) 3. They do not welcome walk ins 4. They are negligent with details ( open til 7 ) If you can't get answer your phone and push clients away .... ... I am RELIEVED no doctor was available! Imagine how they would have handled my health care. Update : I called another doctor over the phone and got everything I needed ! So the owner can reply in anyway they choose. It looks like the positive reviews may even have been from family. Look at the posted hours ( in photo ).. The owner is a liar they were misleading
I have had a pretty ordinary people experience with Halton Medix and would honestly not want to deal with them if I could avoid it. 1. When my wife and I visited Dr. Jawaid (our family doctor) along with our infant baby, we did specify that the appointment was for all 3 of us. Towards the end of our 20 min discussion (20 mins to discuss 3 individuals), we were told that it's not fair on others waiting outside if we choose one appointment to club our issues. Well, we did ask for an appointment for 3 individuals and presented 3 health cards. Not our problem if they decide to consider that as one appointment. 2. Dr. Jawaid is generally nice to talk to and has good bedside manners (not something I could say of Dr. Gill though). But when Dr. Jawaid saw a potential concern with our daughter's health, she said she'll refer us to a paediatrician. After waiting for several weeks for the pediatrician to call back, when we followed up with Halton Medix we realized that Dr. Jawaid had not even sent the referral. The referral was sent subsequently and it finally turned out to be a non issue, but that was a matter of chance. And as a result of the delay, we had to spend several weeks in anxiety. If the diagnosis had come out positive, this delay could have actually had a material impact on her treatment. 3. The people at the reception are generally OK. They're mostly on the phone, and some of those calls are quite evidently personal in nature. They have been generally courteous to us, but it feels quite transactional just like an interaction you would expect with a cashier at a supermarket. 4. I don't know who is the person who leaves replies to these Google reviews, but that person does come across as absolutely obnoxious, arrogant and rude. If I had read these responses before visiting this clinic, I would have honestly steered clear. Would have given them 3 stars, but subtracting 1 for the person who responds to Google reviews.
I wasnt welcomed to this clinic at all. The way receptionist treated was the worst of my life. She has no sense of using please word and direct me with orders such as come! I was questioned couple of times the reason why I had no health card even if I said that I was an international student. I was questioned my nationality by the doctor who was the rudest doctor I have ever met. He was so arrogant and has no sense in patient psychology. Tomorrow I will go another clinic just not to see those peope once again...
i would give them - 5 stars if that was possible. these doctors who work for not only at walkers line halton medix but all halton medix should be stripped of their practice license. They over book appointments and have a waiting area room full to over max capacity for over an hour which is unacceptable and very disrespectful especially during these covid times. second they book you multiple appointments throughout the month just so you can come back over and over again to fill there pockets with money and prescribe you who knows what kind of medication and it still don't work until finally they prescribe you the anti biotic they should have the first visit. these people are just here to make as much money as they can and do not care for your well being or health. They just want to fill there deep pockets. RUN RUN RUN from this medical centre. The reception girl should also change her career.

They closed due to Ford restrictions but have not updated the post. Very irresponsible. After comment on post will add that I called them and they told me all walk-ins were closed to go to hospital. After contacting MPP found out that some walk-ins were open in Milton so could have gone there rather than hospital. I spoke to manager at clinic to see if she would resolve with employee but she beaked off at me so that is why I posted.

The physicians here seem nice but the staff could use some training. First off, slow down when you are answering the phones. Your accents are strong and it is hard to understand you! And maybe some basic expressions of courteous consideration instead of perfunctory "drivers license?" Like "How are you?" or an acknowledgement of people who are visibly in discomfort. The waiting room is crowded - chairs too close together when people are there to get tested for COVID.

At the onset, the receptionist was very helpful and friendly. The wait was not long in the waiting area since I arrived early to my morning appointment. Dr. Kamran was very helpful and discussed the many screening options available to me, made suggestions to improve my BMI, and agreed to a referral for improving my knee health with an orthopedic specialist. She listened carefully to my suggestions as we collaborated together to develop a medical plan and to optimize my personal responsibilities for the coming year. The phlebotomist was very proficient and friendly when the blood work for lab testing was drawn. My return appointment for the next yearly physical was made at the end of my visit. Thanks so much.
I have been going to see Dr. Kamran for almost 2 years now. I have NEVER encountered a situation as described in the last rating. Every doctors office I have ever been to it is the patients responsibility to sign in with the receptionist. I have ALWAYS found front desk staff, as well as other staff there to be more than friendly and helpful. As this is also a walk in clinic ( which I knew when I first started going ) I realize it can get a little busy at times. As the head person at the clinic I am sure it is Staff responsibility to talk to many people other than patients on the clinics behalf. If you look at other ratings on here I am not the only one who thinks staff is fabulous. Please don't let one comment deter you from going to this clinic. Dr. Kamran and her staff are ALL fantastic.
This clinic has been very good to me, especially having doctor Kamran as my family doctor. Going through some of the reviews, it's astounding to me as to how this is even possible. She has treated me and all the patients I've seen so far with utmost respect. I greatly recommend her as she is very experienced and helpful.
Won't return here. Waited till noon for this place to open hoping to avoid waits at the bigger clinic. The receptionist had a man hanging out over the counter while she was checking patients in. I said I would wait until she was free as I felt this was unprofessional and a violation of patient privacy. The doctor was walking by at the time and indicated I could write down my information if I was uncomfortable with others over-hearing. I wasn't, I just didn't want someone lurking over me. She obviously didn't appreciate me telling her that so she very pointedly told me that it would be a LONG wait. So we left and went down the street. In and out in 5 mins!
The girl who answered the phone have no idea what customer service is. She was impatient, unfriendly, unsupportive, and put me on hold for minutes without notice. They also don't allow you call the doctors, and only let the doctor call you without telling you when will they call. The customer service experience is not satisfing.
This used to be a good clinic. What happened? Been there twice recently. Met one young girl with dirty clothes all over and won’t let you finish talking, one young guy who looked drugged and able to listen to your lungs through your sweater. Go figure.
Dr. Jawaid was knowledgeable and thorough with my two babies as walk-in patients. Very pleased with this practice.
First off, I cannot begin to express how amazing this clinic has been for me. I have been going here for almost a year now, and every time any health issue should occur they find quick and efficient ways to solve the problem. My doctor, Dr. Kamran is very kind to me at every visit, and although the wait times can be frustrating, the service that is provided is splendid. I will continue to come here as I believe that the service here is far superior than the ones I've been to in the past.
This walk in clinic is unreliable and the manager is rude. They blamed the fact they closed on Saturday to IRL appointments on Doug Ford when in reality they decided themselves to close. They told me all other Walk-In Clinics in Ontario were closed but the ones in Milton were open. I am in the process of reporting them but thought I would let you know as well.
After reading good reviews online about this clinic, I decided to give it a try myself today. I was pretty impressed with these young professionals! The staff was friendly. The doctor was taking time to get as much detailed information as possible from me to ensure a accurate diagnose. The pharmacist was also friendly and helpful! I would definitely recommend this place!
Worst medical facility I've been to Receptionist was amazingly rude to my 3 yr old son. I will never go back or refer anyone there.
