This clinic is great. Waiting times are short, it is easy to book an appointment, and staff are super friendly.

I love the staff here!.. they are so fun and hilarious. Maybe everyone should try this line of work and see how they deal with the endless breast cancers, deaths, health problems its so touching that people devote their lives to helping others and yet still have to deal with mindless idiots complaining that they do not do enough. I appreciate all of the work they have done for me. thank you

Leticia Calderon

Is hard to rate them when you have to deal with different doctors. Some of them (the majority) have been really great, but one of them it was not good at all!!!! He never looked at me !!! I basically spend like 5 min with him, he never explained anything just mentioned that I was ok. 2 days later I have to go back because I was feeling really bad and guest what? Another other doctor (really nice by the way) told me that I had a severe allergy for the past 5 days. She immediately checked me and send me all the necessary to cut the allergy almost instantly. The other doctor could have done exactly the same!

mike ordonez

No family doctor at all! They don’t take new patient and I’ve asking for 2 years and it’s always the same! Don’t waste your time in asking.

Linda Burchell

Great clinic - never have a problem booking an appointment - great staff and doctors.

Andrea Papp

No respect for your time. If you call during regular business hours to schedule an appointment, and the specific scheduling assistant isn't available, you're told to "call back later". They don't bother taking your name/number, and apparently the scheduling assistants don't have backups.

I like the staff and vibe of the clinic, but would not recommend at all to see Dr. Arezou Rodd. She didn't show empathy or seem interested in asking questions or finding a diagnosis, even though I went to her repeatedly many times for 6 months. She had no idea what to suggest to help with my headaches besides iron pills, Advil and physio and seemed to just want to get the visits over with. I was excited to have a family doctor, but unfortunately I have to keep looking to find a doctor who is more caring, knowledgeable and who will take me seriously. I feel Arezou Rodd is not the doctor you are looking for unless maybe you just need a refill of a prescription. Update: I found a different doctor and was immediately given an MRI and a tumor was found. Thank goodness I found another doctor.

The doctors are great, but only if you can get past the cold and uncaring desk staff. I arrived will before closing and was greeted by the young woman getting up and locking the gate on me, not even saying “Hello”. I asked if they were open until 6pm and she said “Closed” without even looking up at me. While searching for a clinic that was open (since she didn’t offer any help) she locked the front doors in front of me and again heartlessly walked past without even so much as an acknowledgment. Guess she missed the day they taught the “care” in “healthcare”.

Adam Ringstad

Very clean, friendly, and fast. I came around noon and was seen almost instantly. The staff and doctor were all very polite and welcoming.

Tina Lee

Excellent wait times, an efficient clinic. Dr was very professional and knowledgeable.

Lots of lipoma removed Amazing facility and care

Janna Da Silva

When I asked the doctor if I was fit to work she snapped at me and said that if everyone in the world took work off for a viral infection then the whole world will stop. What a comforting thing to say to someone who feels unwell. Also very telling to see that she's not coming from a prevention sort of frame of medical intervention.

Annie Lareau

The clinic on Seymour (Grandville South) is very convenient. Service is fast. walk in clinic tells you how long you have to wait online.

Katka Dojcakova

Avoid Dr. Rodd. He's not only rushing through the appointment and hardly listens to you, but doesn't follow up with you, nor tries to get at the bottom of your problem. You're just another number to him. On top of that, he talks down on you and is VERY rude to you when you follow up for results. Changing him for sure!

After reading the reviews I was hesitant to go. But since we just moved to the area I thought I'd give it a try. The first receptionist was friendly. The second one at station 1 for walk-in was more blunt so I kept my conversation with her very short. Dr.tokic was nice and spent the time with me examining my flu carefully and giving me advice. All in all, an OK experience.

Olivier Korol

They are good doctors and the staff do their best, but they are very busy. Not enough GPs.

Rohan Vora

Great service and staff. Wait times are actually shorter than quoted which is always impressive.

Carla Accurso

Clean, fast and friendly! staff were polite and welcoming, I was seen almost instantly at my appointment time . Doctor Rodd made me feel comfortable, willing to take time to talk not rushing you out they use a simple language that I can understand ????

Elsa The Recuse Cat

My mother has gone here since she was in 20s then I came here afterwards. Sometimes it's hard to get in but it worth it to see the doctors!

Sal Kahil

I have been going to Seymour Health Clinic for the last 4 years. I have been always treated with respect and professionally. I see Dr. Cardoso, she is great Doctor. Everyone is so helpful and I have no complaint whatsoever. The doctors are not rushing you out they use a simple language that I can understand. Short time waiting to see your Dr.

Peter Holbrook

zero wait time when I went, dr. Perlman was good, did not treat me like a number and listened to me also he asked for another doctors opinion which I really appreciated. Will be back in on Friday

Libor Štros

I waited almost 6 months to get an appointment with Dr. Sproul. After an hour in the waiting room she saw me for 5 mins and scheduled my lipoma surgery. I came today for the procedure. After 1,5h in the waiting room the nurse told me it’s going to be another 20 min and that the doctor is in a hurry and will perform my surgery in 10-15min. I walked away as I had similar surgery back in Europe and it took close to 30 min. Would not recommend!

I am not one to write reviews, but I was SO disappointed in my treatment I felt I had to. I haven't had a family doctor in years and was so excited when I became a new patient of Dr. Arezou Rodd. I was looking forward to having a consistent doctor, and working with her to figure out a health problem I've been struggling with. She did no testing herself, yet came to the conclusion she could not help me. She said that it is just how my body is and medicine couldn't help me... but never looked at the problem, ran her own tests or questioned what other doctors had tried. She made me feel hopeless. I will NEVER return to this clinic and will definitely never recommend it to anyone.

Leanne Kowalyk

Great, all-purpose clinic! And all the drs and staff I've come across seem helpful and happy to be there.

Sharmila Miller

Wow. That was one of the best experiences I’ve had at a doctors office in Vancouver. The doctor I had was very kind and not stuck behind a computer like other doctors. Very nice receptionists, nice space, and an all together expedient visit. Was in and out in under 20 minutes.

Theresa Cotton

I've had only great experiences with the Doctors I have seen here! The staff is friendly and the care I received was thorough and helpful.

Brian Mackenzie

cured me!

Karli Danbrook

I went as a walk-in patient, the wait time was very reasonable, and the clinic atmosphere was pleasant. However, the doctor I saw was incredibly dismissive, barely looked at my ailment. Misdiagnosed me with an infection when I had shingles. I am happy I sought a second opinion elsewhere. I will not be returning because of this doctor, and his incompetence.

Emily .Celeste

Doctors here seem to have a "10 minute per patient" policy, so if you want a bandaid, referral, or prescription for anti depressants, it's probably alright.

A R

Neither main directories had the doctors name on it. Apparently a locum but no one bothers to inform patients nor do they even tape a name sign anywhere. The locum was dismissive and simply wrong about what she said. 6 months waiting to see the specialist for 5 minutes of wrong info.

Rebecca

I called to inquire about getting added to Family doctor waitlist and the receptionist was so RUDE. Totally unhelpful - literally just said "we're full" and hung up on me. I don't understand how someone can work customer service and be so unhelpful and lacking compassion.

J J

I had the pleasure of seeing Dr. Dahlmanns as a walk-in patient. He was swift with recommendations and when my lab work came back, personally called me to support me through recovery. Although I believe people must be their own health advocates/primary doctor, (demand for the testing you think you need, and see multiple physicians for diagnosing and treating serious illness,) this clinic was a perfect fit for my needs. THANK-YOU!

Cristine Pequeras

Dr eshafi is awsome, takes time to understand what medical help you need. He may be have a lot of patients, but still takes the time. Awsome work.

Caleb Pleasure

Just flat out medically unprofessional. Went in for help about a serious problem I've had and tried to receive medical help with for over a year. I get looked at for 5 minutes and told I should get an xray, I immediately go get an xray. After a month of no word from anyone I go back to hear about my results to be told that from a bare bones initial look they xrayed the wrong place and have no steps forward. I don't know if this is Seymour health standard or the Canadian health care system but they'd rather wait for you in emergency then help before hand.

Fabiano PS

So far i only had good doctors there and friendly staff.

Tegan Porter

I went in around 10:30am on a Friday morning. The doctor saw me immediately. The staff were polite and the doctor was great.

Sharareh Moradi

My Family Doctor is in this clinic and I have been seeing him for over two years. I changed my family dr two times as the only thing they cared for was money. But here I always get good service and it is not just my own dr but a few others I met except for Dr kaviani who was very impolite and unprofessional although she was a specialist. Thanks the whole team.

Natalie

I was first recommended this place by my midwife after the birth of my first baby 3 years ago. Since then, her, my now 9 month old son, and I all come here to see our family doctor, Dr Browne. She is amazing! The staff is friendly and efficient. We usually can get an appointment that day or the next no problem. Once we are there, wait time is maximum 5 minutes. Very happy with this clinic!

Excellent service for a walk-in centre - I was pleasantly surprised. Both the receptionist and doctor were pleasant and helpful. I was seen after approx. 45 mins (as expected for a walk-in clinic) on a Saturday morn at approx 9am.

Vita Piven

Great centre with very friendly staff. Our family sees Matthew Jodoin NP at Hornby location, and he is very professional and knowledgeable. He instantly built rapport with our two kids, and I appreciate his attention to detail, quality and speed of providing advice. Highly recommend.

This clinic has to be the worst one I’ve ever been to service wise – I don’t know why but it seems their staff all have huge chips on their shoulders and they are the rudest bunch I’ve ever encountered! I work in kits and there are a few walk ins around but decided to try it out after a co-worker recommended it. I had injured my knee (on crutches for a few weeks I turned out) so I called to see if I could possibly get in right away as I was very concerned as to the type of damage I could’ve done and because this was during work hours. I called before the clinic opened (as per their website). The person who answered the phone was very rude right off the bat; I stated what my injury was and what the wait time normally is, stating that I understood that this time can fluctuate. She replied huffily that ‘it depends and that there is not a wait right now”, to which I replied “but there wouldn’t be anyone waiting because you’re not open yet..?” She responded with “oh right, well you’ll just have to come in.” Right…when I did go in, the wait time was already an hour which I was expecting so that was fine. Staff was very rude – no eye contact, barely any acknowledgement and barked commands. Also I overhead very plainly a staff member saying she was having a “horrible day because she was there working, duh” – just like that. And her co worker laughed and said ‘yah of course” Seriously? Right in front of their patients? None of whom were doing anything other than waiting patiently. The rest of the appointment was fine. I needed to see a doctor today and it was my 3rd choice as the other two I decided on had very long wait times so rather than walking in, I called in – big mistake. There is no option to get the walk in front desk and after I was rudely transferred over after finally getting through, I was told the wait time was “a while”. That’s it. When I asked if she could give me a more accurate estimate as “a while” is very general” she said ‘nope I can’t” and hung up on me. I will never go to this clinic again. I can wait an hour anywhere, but other clinics in the kits area have staff who will look me in the eye and are polite and courteous. I’m not looking to be treated like royalty just like the polite and courteous human that I am!

Substandard care, generally tries to get you in and out as quickly as possible without any proper discussion pertaining to your concerns. Heavy on prescribing and not solution orientated.

Denis Polishchuk

Extremely curt and discourteous MOA.

Adam Heinermann

They said by email I could come to a walk in for a mole check and general checkup. Turns out $120 later and nope. They are also unresponsive by email. It's 2019. E m a i l. Managed to get a referral for a dermatologist but they never faxed it. Called and they said they would fax it again and nope. Now I'm running around playing phone tag with two offices like my health is some sort of game. What the hell is wrong with these people and why do they need so many receptionists?

I came to the Urgent Care Centre because of some severe abdominal pain. The staff here were all incredibly helpful and I was seen quickly and efficiently. I hope I won't have to go again but if I do, I know I will be well take care of.

No help at all! My husband broke out in a rash. I suggested he go to a walk in clinic . He saw Dr Barbara Trott at Seymour Health Center. Dr. Trott was rude and unhelpful. She did not inspect the rash. She said "all rashes look alike". She basically sat down typed out a prescription and left. He asked about seeing a dermatologist and she said "Yeah, if you've got a year to wait." My husband wasn't given the time to ask her any other questions... She pretty much handed him the prescription and walked out of the room. He came home more frustrated and confused than when he went in. She gave him a "prescription" for an over the counter antihistamine. I also messaged the office and was somewhat relieved that the assistant manager of Seymour health center was concerned and called my husband to get some information about his visit to the clinic. I was able to get my husband into a family dr. Where the rash was inspected and most likely identified. He was given a prescription for a steroid cream (which is helping) and is also getting tests done.

The rudest, most inconsiderate reception desk service I have ever dealt with. No regard or care whatsoever to a person's situation. I was there at 9 and the woman said only afternoon would work. When I said I came there from Marpole and I had work, the woman went "And!?!" I am there in pain, my eye stratched, can't see straight and this woman didn't even see me as a human being. Horrible, just horrible.

Libby Park Herman

Good group of doctors. Good location. Underground parking.

Diane Fairfield

The clinic is difficult to get to. If your are sick or injured. First you park underground walk across a Parkade, up an elevator walk down an outside walk way into the building and up two flights of stairs or down another hall and up another elevator ( try that on crutches ) The doctors give you a strict 15 minutes. I was in extreme pain in my hip. The doctor never touched me or examined me, told me to take Tylenol and Aleve. I am a breast cancer survivor and 69 years old, she said an x-ray was a waste on people over 65. She didn't pay any attention at all to locating the pain source. This same doctor told me if I did not take Warfarin, she would not be my doctor anymore. I asked to be changed to another doctor and I was ignored. Cold, uncaring, aloof, condescending and dismissive.

had not a long wait to have a nasty cellulitis lanced, drained and wicked, but was told that when I come back there would be a charge to change the dressing. They told me not to leave this dressing unchanged for more than 2 days, and not to pack it myself, had to be in a sterile environment. I challenged this after checking with BC Medical and they must not charge for dressings that are needed. I saw an elderly gent ahead of me (before I knew this) having the dressings changed on both his hands (heavily bandaged) and he paid also. Maybe it was discretionary?

Appalling attitude of reception staff. I regret I did not ask for her name. I called around 2:30pm on Aug 08, 2018, so I'll let the General Manager figure out the rest. I inquired about Dr Eshafi, he used to be my GP and I was hoping to see him specifically as a walk-in. My current clinic has no issues with putting walk-ins with specific GP's. The lady at reception was abrupt and condescending, she made it sound like she was making an exception talking to me. Her best response was "You can't. They see whoever they choose to". And fair enough if that's the case, but her entire attitude left me feeling like I got slapped in the face. It seemed like an effort to try and get any answers out of her. Who do you think you are? If you do not love what you do, change it. But do not spoil the reputation of your employer.

Leili Mortazavi

I really like the clinic. I've seen three different doctors so far and they were all really good. I am kind of picky about doctors and not many doctors make me feel good, but all three at Seymour were great. Plus, they don't make you wait in the room after you've been called.

Bryon Hodges

I have been a patient for 14 years at this clinic and I have always got good service and advice from my doctor Dr Masha Santerre, but unfortunately she has decided to work somewhere else. I am now without a doctor and I have to rely on the doctor on call, which is changing all the time. The receptionist at station 1 Joanna has been so reliable and professional.

Peter Lando

I was a patient of Doctor Pearlman for decades until he retired at Seymour Health. I was told by the good doctor that the clinic would notify me when the physician replacing him would meet his legacy patients. That never happened. After waiting years and making inquiries with no results I find myself looking at my later years of my life with no health care continuity. Perhaps this business model works for your shareholders but I find this callous approach unacceptable health care.

Amy Johnson

Made an appointment but ended up waiting 40 minutes past my appointment time. I wasn't in a rush so this was fine but it can be frustrating for those who have other commitments.

I am very thankful to Dr Mona m who comes to this clinic on Wednesdays ,.we went to clinic due to my older son;s sever rash that poor little guy had to deal with all summer ,For which we have been through lots of doctor visits ,blood tests and allergy testing and he used different types of over the counter creams as well as oral anti histamine anti biotic and fungal creams and my wife had to take him to emergency BCCH twice .we felt so devastated and with school started they required a note for my son to be able to attend school. Dr Mona recognized the issue right away ,and we are so grateful to her as after a week rash gone and is such a relief .she is very knowledgable and was so nice to my son who was tired of the issue and all the nights that the itchy skin kept him awake . I recommend her to every one and thanks to seymour clinic for gathering such great doctors ,Wish she would have worked more days .

Wife was sent in circles, gp's that pretend they're not gp's to avoid the work, came back in tears because no one would help or direct her, only offer an appointment to meet a gp 3 months away, but she's in pain right now! I can't believe this is what my msp dollars go toward!!!

Not what I wld call a 'walk in clinic'. When I checked their website.. it said they were open, but waiting time was unavailable. So I went in person. I arrived at 10.00 am and was told they were "full" and to phone in at or after 1.00 pm to make an appointment ? ! So much for 'walk in'.. better call first before wasting your time.

I am not a patient at this clinic, however, I called on behalf of a family member looking for a FD and the receptionist picked up the phone just after two rings and was very helpfull. I don't know why there are negative reviews about this clinic, for years I worked with a cardiologist at SPH and always had to deal with office receptionists and doctors but I don't recall anything negative, instead I always had a favourable review of this clinic and that is why this is the first place I called when looking for a GP.

Terrible service! Very rude reception for Dr Eshafi- I felt like I was in a walk in clinic instead of seeing my actual doctor for a well booked appointment in advance. No consideration of how far i have to drive. I am honestly fed up of the medical system in British Columbia I rate this office nothing and would suggest to find a different doctor that actual has staff that cares

María Ferráez

I called ahead to make an appointment. They told me they could book me in at 2:10. When I arrived the receptionist told me that they had my appointment and to go sit down. 30 min after I asked the receptionist how long she thought it would be until i was called. She told me that they booked my appointment but they were also taking walk in patients. She said that there were only 2 people before me. That was a lie. When I arrived there were probably 7 other patients. I was the last to enter to see the doctor (including people that arrived after me) I made an appointment for a reason. I would not have come if they had simply told the truth.

Not satisfied at all with this collection of so-called doctors. I have a situation that I have been trying to get addressed for 8 months now but feel like they are just expirimenting to see "what sticks." They do not diagnose, they just write a script and send you out the door, the doctors are paid PER PATIENT SEEN, not helped... I even had a so called doctor write a prescription that the pharmacist said was an over the counter medication...... O_O

We have been going to this clinic (as a family) since 2006. The staff are efficient and the Doctors are great. We specifically are very happy with Dr. Joffe.

Ali Mougouee

Great , kind, caring and always smiley famiy doctor. Dr Mahdad Rodd treats as a friend with his patients. During these two years that I have been viisited by him I always came out from clininc happy and satisfied . Wish the best for him.

Darragh Redmond

If I could give a rating of zero I would. Extremely rude workforce. Completely Inconsiderate of clients needs and situations. I was shocked at how I was talked to on the phone by a woman name Elaine I believe. Very rushed and didn't listen to what I was trying to say. She gave the impression that she wanted to hang up the phone straight away and not deal effectively with my issue. How can a health centre have this kind of personnel working for them. I experienced the same issues through email and is simply not ok. Email and phone correspondence it's mostly the first point of contact for these centres to the general public so it's really disappointing to be treated in such a low standard l...my advice, STAY AWAY!

Caitlin P

The doctors have to look up what you might have or refer you to someone else. What happened to when GPs actually KNEW things? On top of that, one of the doctors ripped open my wound while trying to remove my stitches. Great.

Pedro Shiomura

Their booking system for pre travel covid testing allows to book an appointment on a Sunday but when I got there everything was closed and there was no one around nor phone number to ask for information

Conrad Yablonski

A few years ago this place was rocked by a financial scandal and it's never recovered-the few remaining MDs are in deep denial about the state of the business and new ones seemingly have no clue. Wait times for the walk in clinic are something straight out of the developing world and staff completely indifferent. The 'questionnaire' available to patients who have concerns is a classic- designed to give answers the person who designed it wants to hear-it asks for the name of the receptionist in an office where no one wears name tags. I could go on & on & on but I'm getting a headache already whoever is responsible for running an efficient caring practice might be collecting a cheque but they aren't doing the job not even close.

Emma Goldman

Warning to patients who are in need of renewing a prescription for a controlled substance: apparently they have a new policy that if you get such a Rx at all, it will be for only a 10 day supply. This just happened to me, in spite of my presenting documentation of being on the same medication for almost 7 years. Now I'll have to seek another medical appointment within the next 10 days for the same reason.

I had appointment with Dr. Kim Tran Dermatologist, she is terrible. You asked her more than one question, she tells you book another appointment with her. She would only focus one concern for the appointment. She did not examine my concern properly and took less than 5 minutes. It wasted my time even seeing her. She started working at Seymour health centre for 8 months as dermatologist. Please do not bother seeing Dr. Kim Tran.

Daryl Sturdy

I've not had the negative experiences that others have. I've been seeing Dr. Noble for decades and he is always willing to take the time to talk with me about what is going on at the time. His receptionist is always pleasant and efficient.

A Goharjoo

A terrible clinic with good doctors! The receptionists are mean. No matter when you call, they always say no spot. Once I called from three phones at 8:00AM at the same time. The first call said they are not yet open. The second one got the first inline, and the last one was saying there was one call ahead of me. They kept me on hold and just picked up the phone once and said hold on. After twenty minutes no one picked up again. Then I called from another phone and the same. When I showed up at the clinic they were chatting and laughing and said it is full! This is bad business. Treating ill people bad and without respect.

Received contradicting and unhelpful advice every time I've spoken to the receptionists. Terrible patient manner and won't take the time to explain anything. My experience with the actual doctor was much better but dealing with the receptionists is an unpleasant and often stressful experience.

As a patient of a Seymour Health Ctr on W. 7th Ave, my GP retired about a year after I signed up with him. I have been returning for the walk-in clinic multiple times over the years, mostly with positive results from reception and GPs. Unfortunately, after 3 years or so, they are still not taking new parients :( Dr. Adirim has been the most attentive and made a referral that I've been asking for for years from other GPs; Dr. Eshafi is great, competent and caring; Dr. Trott is helpful but very by-the-book; Dr. Browne is a good listener and gives good advice. Jane (reception) is AMAZING! She should get big raises! DO NOT LOSE HER!! She is very competent, experienced and efficient. She can be no-nonsense (which some patients may not like!), but I really appreciate her directness. She's busy and has lots of patients to look after; I've worked in reception & customer service - it's always busy & very tiring! Jane went out of her way recently to contact a clinic for results on my behalf after they didn't fax the results at my request. THANK YOU TO ALL STAFF AT SEYMOUR HEALTH CENTER!! :)

This is the only walk in clinic in the area that opens so early in the morning. I called to confirm that walk in was available and the receptionist picked up right away and said wait times might be up to half an hour. Other clinics would still not be open by that time so I beelined here. The wait was actually less than ten minutes, and I was seen by Dr. Browne. She was so kind and reassuring about my health issue that I teared up in her office. Everything about my visit was highly professional and the staff were helpful and efficient. I wouldn’t hesitate to come here again. Also very conveniently, there is a pharmacy just downstairs and I was able to get my prescription filled immediately.

Humaira Mohsin

Dr. Eshafi's reception made a big blunder and I had to first wait 5 hours and then another 3 hours to see a doctor (no one called me). It's now 5 pm and I haven't received a call from the clinic. Waiting since 8 am! This is totally unprofessional! The problem was that when I called at 8 am today to book a walk in appointment with Dr. Eshafi (who is an amazing doctor) I was told that he would give me a call before 1 pm. First of all that's a long wait, and walk ins over the phone need to be managed as in person ones: give a specific hour based on the que rather than 5 hours! I never got the call and when I called the clinic past 2 pm as I was tired of waiting, I was told that I was not in the list and the doctor had already left. The receptionist suggested that I call again on Monday to get an appt or get another walk in appt for today with another doctor. So it means that I had wait 8 hours to speak to a doctor or continue suffering for the whole weekend. What's wrong with the receptionists? Each time my name, DOB, phone number and address details were taken. This is really bad management by reception. I wasted the whole day waiting! I hope the management would look into the matter so that this does not happen to another client.

Very very terrible experience with the receptionist. Very rude and not helpful at all. If you don't have the patience to do your job which is so simple, find a new occupation
