REVIEWS OF Maple Walk-In Medical Clinic IN British Columbia

Monique Osborne

It's my first time usining Maple Medical clinic and the service was outstanding. The staff we're friendly, curious and anticipated what I needed.

L P

I received amazing service from Ruby, she really went above and beyond to squeeze me in. Her colleague Stephanie was also very friendly and helpful. Dr. Henderson was very professional and made me feel comfortable. I'll definitely return be returning to the clinic.

Courtney Prowse

This place is so great! The ONLY real walk-in clinic in Kitsilano, and yet all these people feel the need to put them down in their reviews. Write the clinic NOT taking walk-ins a bad review, not Maple Medical!! These people are doing their best with what they have been given in these unpredictable times. Blame those in a place of power, not those just trying doing their jobs!!

Patrick Carolan

Front desk staff were good, but the doctor rushed me through an examination and scolded me for not going to my family doctor instead. What's the point of a walk-in clinic if that's the approach they're taking takes?

Very friendly staff, I’ve been here a couple times and the staff is always attentive. Although sometimes it’s busy, as all clinics are- the wait times given are accurate and I’ve been happy with the care I’ve received. I’m confused about negative reviews about the receptionist, she’s only ever been very lovely! As someone is customer service myself for many years, I really appreciate this kind of business. Thank you Maple Clinic :)

Bhreagh Elizabeth

Wonderful staff, very efficient and kind

If you’re looking to feel guilty for trying to get help or for a doctor that will dismiss you without doing a proper discovery of your symptoms and concerns, then go to Maple Medical Clinic and see Dr Henderson. He’s the worst walk-in clinic doctor in town. I remember when Doctors were looking to help you with your health concerns, not tell you you are wrong for seeking help and dismissing you based on their own bias and assumptions. What happened to the scientific process? I will never return to this clinic. The reception/nurse staff are very friendly but the Doctor has been horrible to both myself and my wife and we were both left feeling helpless and like we needed to see a real doctor again after. We will take our concerns elsewhere in the future.

PJ Prinsloo

Don't bother coming here as a walk-in. The wait time was almost 3hrs. They also don't let you make any appointments in advance. It seems more like a family practice then anything. The lady at the front also wasn't very helpful. Drive down Broadway towards McDonald. There's an awesome clinic there.

Valerie Prema

I’ve attended the walk-in clinic for the past 5 years or so - staff have always been very professional and courteous, and are very good at letting me know how long of a wait it will be and when to come back by. Dr. Lamont has always been excellent - she listens and takes her time to properly address any issue, with compassion. The only issue, which isn’t a clinic issue but a Vancouver problem, is that they reach capacity quite quickly, so putting your name down sooner than later is needed.

Maryanna Pappas

Front desk staff is rude. Got snapped at for answering the phone (it was my sick father in the hospital). Was yelled at in front of the entire lobby and told to "go outside" like a dog. This is the third time I have seen her carry herself in an unprofessional and rude manner. I work in healthcare myself, and this is not acceptable behavior. If you can't handle the stress of dealing with patients maybe it is not cut out for you. I won't be back, nor will anyone else that I know.

H K

Excellent staff! They are very helpful, and allow you to leave and come back. Dr. Lamont is our family doctor and is very compassionate and understanding. She does her absolute best to assist patients with whatever they need and she takes her time assessing all symptoms.

Chas Frazer

Walk in... and WAIT. Suggest using Medimap online to book ahead/check wait times ($5 per use).

Shannon Brown-John

Dr. Segal really took the time with my diagnosis and to get to the root of the problem.

Francesca Oldham

Rosie S

Very accurate estimated waiting time, was allowed to leave and come back during the waiting period, prompt and friendly service, good advice, got the outcome I wanted and needed. All in all a positive experience and I'll be coming back in the future.

Dave B

It's fairly busy, I'd make an appointment, or you'll have atleast an hour wait, probably more. Nice staff and the Drs are very good, but $197 for a medical that takes 5 minutes is a rip off. Less than half that price at most other clinics

Kat Kott

Chrissy

very clean and wonderful doctors!

I have been going to Maple medical clinic for 6 years and have always had good experiences. I don't have a family doctor so I always see Dr Henderson. A nurse myself, I have high expectations of physicians which is why i always go back to see Dr Henderson and Maple Medical. Good thorough care, kind non-judgemental and compassionate. I always recommend my friends to go there because of my positive experience.

Kj Brey

Had good experience here.

Rose Bush

Dr. Kevin Li, avoid him. I had an open area in my breast from a cyst removal I had 2 weeks ago that wasn't healing and turned black/grey so I asked if Dr. Li could write me a antibiotic prescription to get things moving along , he refused as he said he wasn't sure if it would even help, I said well it can't make things worse so why not? He tells me no and then for whatever reason leaves the room without shutting the door all the way while I am naked grabbing at a sheet to cover with, terrible bedside manner. Update*. I went to another Dr today and I was told that it was dying skin and was immediately given an antibiotic prescription.

Kristian Prieto

Wont do in-person appointments for a rash and lump on my head What is a phone call going to do ? Absolute garbage of a facility Take my tax dollars for a phone call? Scam artists

P N

Medi map says 10 minutes. Front desk said 40.. 1 hour later still waiting..

Tessy Vanderhaeghe

Good experience. Helpful and considerate front desk. Experience with the doctors were also good! The wait time was never excessive.

This has to be the worst walk in clinic in van. Every single person I've dealt with here has made a practice of not listening to me as a customer and I consistently have to restate and rephrase very basic questions. The receptionist is the worst of the bunch, she won't answer questions directly, but rather answer the question she thinks is more relevant to her situation. You just can't get a straight answer to a straightforward question. The doctor advised I needed a follow up and slated it for a date he wasn't working, then the receptionist wouldn't even book me with another doctor. Very basic communication is continually an issue here.

Amanda Anderson

I am so impressed and lucky to have found such a caring and thorough physician; Dr. Henderson goes above and beyond, methodical and so caring! I am very grateful and would highly recommend this clinic. Thank you very much to the support staff and thank you Dr. Henderson!

Jackie Park

Dr. Henderson and his team are professional, efficient and caring, I am so happy that I found Maple Medical Clinic.

Andrew Just

Fantastic customer service. Very friendly staff, and possibly the fastest clinic I've been to. A+ service and would highly recommend.

Natasha Nanji

Amanda Bouchard

Honestly the kindest souls on earth, thank you for helping me in my time of need, this is a wonderful place <3

Gabriella Assad

A pleasant experience from start to finish! The administrative assistant was welcoming, friendly and kind! Covid measures taken seriously, the office was very clean! Dr. Henderson was efficient, helpful and has a calm demeanor. We must remember to always be kind and grateful to those who take part in keeping us healthy. It is not anyone's fault if they "cannot fit you into the schedule". Offices have guidelines and strict measures that need to be followed.

Anouk J

Took the morning off work and walked 30 min to get to the clinic early (as per suggested on their voicemail - arrive early because the clinic fills up quickly), only to find out they were closed today. No update on the voicemail or Medimap, and they don't have a website. Really disappointing.

Luke Gordon

Lindsey McEwan

I have been going here a long time and like my doctor. The staff is overworked with procedures that don't always work. Complaining about lines isn't the fault of the clinic. They have no control over that.

Merilyn Herrod

does anyone ever return a phone call from this office? I have left 2 messages.

Nadine Sarah

Went in for the first time to this walk-in tonight. Ruby went out of her way to help situate a spot for me since another patient didn't show up, allowing one small opening in an otherwise completely booked day. The doctor I met with was so incredibly kind as well. I felt completely comfortable and understood. Walk In offices take a lot of patience and effort on front desk staffs part because people take out a lot of irrational anger on them. Ruby and her coworker tonight were kind, hard working and both had great senses of humour Thank you and the doctor.

Nasa Rouf

very unhelpful, beyond just seeing patients. (Update: middle management unapologetic after verbal complaints) on top of being rude and unhelpful, the front office staff gave me a free lecture on fairness. i am glad that she at least knows how fairness is defined on a dictionary. they are not willing to accommodate any request or make any exception for any circumstances. i went in with a hemorrhoid issue which makes it difficult to sit anywhere for long periods of time or walk to long distances. they made me sit and wait for over 3 hours. the pharmacy next door closed before i as let in to see a doctor, so i had to bus to a pharmacy far out. worst clinic service ever.

Could not have possibly felt more rushed. The doctor had his hand on the door handle the whole time and made a move to leave after every short, careless answer he gave me.

Amy Hemmerling

I am blown away by the level of care I have received from Dr.Henderson. From one in person appointment with him, he has ordered blood work, physicals, referrals etc… and is getting to the bottom of my of my ongoing health problems. As someone who hasn’t had a family doctor in over a decade, I can honestly say in his care I have no lack of.

Alexis Cobham

My experience with Dr Henderson and his staff has been nothing short of excellent. He is attentive to details, thorough and generously helped get me appointments with the specialists I needed in a very short period of time. Within just weeks of seeing him I started recovering from what I had been struggling with for over 7 months. I feel so grateful I found him!

Walk in clinic that doesnt accept walkins unless you are the at or before 8:45 am and will not allow appointments

Theo Budd

Was told by the afternoon front desk receptionist that we'd be in right at 5pm for a simple 10 second referral. Had to wait for over 40 minutes, and ended up having to leave before we even got in. A huge waste of time, very frustrating and disrespectful. I understand waiting at a walk in, but don't make promises that can't be kept.

Mayara Benedetti

Terrible experience with rude staff who refused to take an appointment. Would not recommend the inhuman treatment to anyone who is seeking medical care.

Rajinder Bagga

Dr Margaret Pugh is an excellent and compassionate Doctor. Even the receptionist was very courteous and helpful.

Sarah Saini Sexsmith

Connally McDougall

While it's gotten busier since combining with Burrard and Broadway Walk in Clinic, Maple Medical Centre is consistent with giving accurate wait times, comfortable and large waiting area and Dr. Henderson (who is regularly there) is remarkably thorough and it feels like I'm being heard and not rushed through. Highly recommend .

I have had a very poor experience with Dr. Henderson. I found him unprofessional, aggressive, and not current with his information. He made me feel very uncomfortable in our conversation about home birth. He tried to scare me out of it when the Society of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists finds home birth a safe-- if not safer option for low risk pregnant persons. Well needless to say, because of his approach I have no interest in visiting him again. Oh and I had an incredible home birth.

Josie Breuls

Very unprofessional, I asked for a basic doctors note stating I can go back to work for my boss's records, in response the doctor got frustrated and told me my boss was calling me a liar for not just believing what I said.

Ben Williams

The medical care has always been good here, but the receptionists are a mixed bunch. At least one is very rude and not helpful. They frequently do not pick up the telephone, and have caused us several wasted visits because we do not know whether the clinic has stopped accepting patients for the day.

Lee Henderson

I have been to this clinic to visit Dr Lamont on many occasions. The customer service from the second you walk in the door is outstanding and the professionalism and patience of Dr Lamont is second to none. Glad to have such an amazing clinic in my neighbourhood.

Brazen Edwards

This used to be a nice clinic but the new receptionist is terrible! She's loud, argumentative and has no problems discussing medical issues very loudly in the waiting room. It's embarrassing for people and she should be disciplined.

Kurt Pipe

They reached capacity and closed down 30 minutes after opening....

Sonia Wong Dewey

While I recognize the exceedingly challenging times we’re in and very very appreciative of our healthcare professionals, the one star is for the fact that I showed up at 9:11 am for the published opening hour of 9 am. By 9:20, we were told the clinic was closed. They offered a phone appointment for the next day. If this is a regular occurrence, please note this situation in Google Maps and other sites so patients in need of care know to go elsewhere. The positive unintended consequence is that I’m now getting excellent care at UBC Urgent Care and have to get X-rays as well, so beyond what the clinic could have offered anyway.

Eirikur Christiansen

This place is disgusting and disorganized. They had a line up of 20 odd sick Patients waiting outside their doors to open, they are supposed to be open at 9:00am this was at 9:20am they were still not open. It's a germ infested zoo where no one cares how you feel. Like Maybe open the lobby so the patients can sit down were all sick that would make sense? Even if the doctor was running late? I genuinely hope someone looses their job after the disgusting scene I saw this morning. I'll never be back that's for sure.

Liudas Sodonis

Good caring doctors. Nice staff. Accurate wait time.

Cathy Williams

Yes I had to wait, but I believe that is expected at a walk in clinic. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and the Dr was very thorough.

Keiana C

Dr Henderson is extremely unprofessional. Baffles me how he's in a profession that deals with vulnerable people. Every visit is a constant guilt trip on why I'm visiting a walk in clinic (about a 2 mins walk from home) vs my regular (doctor who is about 40 mins away) when walking is painful there's not a ton of choices. Egotistical and foul person. 3 family members have very similar experiences.

Peace and Love

Very POOR time management and unprofessional. The MOA won't even have an eye to eye contact. She has been VERY RUDE TO ME. I tried to see my doctor three times in the last 6 weeks, she told me, we are fully booked for the day, you should have checked the website before you walked in. I won't recommend to anyone to go there..that clinic is CRAZY BUSY, my friend WAITED FOR THREE HOURS to see her doctor. Maple Medical Clinic is not the same as a year ago or even 6 months ago. If you are looking for a walk in clinic, just go to any other clinics in Kits....its not worth to waste 3hrs to see a GP for 5mins. A few months ago, the clinic next to Maple Medical clinic was closed down and her patients are coming over to Maple Medical clinic. They need a new business strategy to accommodate their patients. There are hundreds of doctors out there looking for a place to practice, if Maple reduces their cut, they would get so many applicants in a heart beat to practice in the clinic.

The doctors here are ok here. Customer service is terribly irresponsible and careless almost every single time. They say they don't give test results over the phone but you may have to wait for months to get a follow-up call regarding you test results and in many cases you never hear back from them. Even if your test results are perfectly normal you still need to come over and maybe wait for hours only to be told everything's fine. How ridiculous is this and what a waste of taxpayers' money and the patient's valuable time! Based on my personal experience I'd strongly suggest you go somewhere else!!!

E G

The doctors are great. I was however appalled to say the very least by the front desk. I was unfortunate enough to witness her tell a homeless man to wait outside for 45 minutes in the freezing Cold, while she allowed others wait in the waiting room - there was space inside for him. She then continued to raise her voice at him and another older lady for absolutely, no reason. The reaction from her was atrocious, and this is the face of the clinic. The whole experience was uncomfortable and upsetting.

Kirsten

Everything is great about this walk-in clinic. It's the best one I've been to. The receptionists were great communicators. I lined up 15 minutes before opening time and got to see the doctor within half an hour. Dr. Henderson was so great. He follows up very quickly and goes above and beyond what I went in for. When I was waiting in the waiting room, I saw a couple of people who would ignore the receptionists, be abrupt with them, or be flat out rude. People seem just entitled and not grateful to have such an accessible medical care. On the flip side, we have to have some patience and be respectful. In the case that our visit was not satisfactory, give respectful, constructive feedback instead of writing an angry review. None of us has experienced what they experience in a day, we have to try to understand each other and be kind. I hope this gets out to everyone and people start leaving more positive reviews.

they need to hire more people it seems to answer their phones. no one ever has called me back at the end of the day (4 tries and no call back). i am disabled and it's hard to get around so i guess i am expected to go there make my appointment and come back another day for a 10 minute appointment. i need to have meds refilled and i can't get the doc to phone a pharmacy for me...been going to this doc for 20 years....looks like time to see about another doctor i think...terrible service for sure!!!

Jelena Petrovic

I brought in my 10 month old son today to get checked because my family doctor was not available. Even though it was a 45 minute wait, the staff was very helpful and considered in taking us sooner. It was our first time at the clinic and we saw Dr. David (sorry forget the last name). He was extremely thorough, gentle and patient. He made sure he checked and explained everything in detail. I left the clinic feeling very well taken care of. If I could, I would like him to be our GP.

Annelise Price

I’ve been here twice and had a great experience with two different doctors. Both were kind and thorough and made sure to really get to the bottom of my issues; they really went above and beyond. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful as well. I will be coming back!

David C

M B

Horrible front staff. You wonder how the receptionist can continue to work there when she is so dismissive and rude to patients.

Markella Markella

I brought my kids in to Maple medical and they were seen by Dr. Henderson, both had a pretty nasty stomach bug... My youngest, is really shy and pretty difficult to get settled to be examined, most of the time I spend double the time just coercing him into being examined. Dr.Henderson was wonderful, and was able to examine my son without him so much as shying away or being difficult. He had real genuine interest in the health of my son- maybe that's what my son picked up on and put me at ease too - making a typically challenging trip to the doctor so comfortable and easy.... Just Wonderful.

Anna Zaccariotto

We went today for the second time. Dr. Segal was very professional and nice; we can say the same about the secretary.

Sun Shine

To all patients or people in general not giving a positive review to this team of Medical office Assistants and Doctors working hard to accommodate everyone in need trust me they could only do so much. We must all be considerate and thankful they are doing their best to work during this pandemic. if you have any concerns about anything please be brave and talk to the manager. or if you don't have anything nice to say move on and find another clinic.

Olivia Kwiatkowski

Saskia Z

Good experience it is very hard to find a doctor on a Sunday. I could make an appointment in 2 hours and doctor Segal helped me very professionally and with a lot of attention for the problem.

Grimbe Grkm

They hold your test results hostage. Make you pay just to tell you the results. And charge $35+ for every visit, phone call, question etc. It’s a scam

Friendly, helpful staff and yes there can be long wait times as with any clinic ..but they don't make you sit there and give you a time to come back.

Torstein Colyer

Rude staff, they make you feel guilty in requesting an appointment. Don't bother with this place.

Vineet Saini

Don't go here. I would rate 0 stars if I could. Rude, unprofessional, unpleasant front desk. Even if you look past the awful reception, seems like theyre usually at their "limit" for the day anyways. The clinic down at Burrard/Broadway is much better.

Misaki Chan

Very impressed how quickly I got to see a doctor! Dr.Henderson really took the time to understand my concerns, I left feeling very happy!

I waited outside for an hour to try get an app first thing, so I wouldn’t miss too much work. I get seen to by the doctor who pretty much edged towards the door for half the conversation as I was talking to him which made me feel like I couldn’t get all my concerns out because I was wasting his time. I think it’s important to make your patient feel their concern is important whether it be big or small.

Kayo Nishimoto

Poor time management and rude service. One of their staff is unprofessional.

Adventure D

Have been going here as a walk in for over 4 years. I always go 15 minutes before they open so I’m one of the first clients to be seen. I have seen a few different doctors here and have found them to be fair. I think in general it is hard to find a great passionate GP these days so you have to make do with what’s out there. Despite my asking and that I have been going there for so long they refuse to be my family doctor. It is awkward seeing different doctors for the same reason and having each of them give me different perspectives of what’s going on and different treatments. My last encounter with them was not a positive one. I was given a Rx for x-rays if needed. I admit I was feeling better and lost tract of my Rx paper, then I got worse and needed to have the x-ray done according to what the Dr said. I called multiple times over 3 days, they did not call me back, all the while I don’t know what is going on with me. When I show up at the clinic during opening hours, they have the front door locked. I see people inside but they do not assist me when I knock and peer inside. I call them as I am standing there and get their answering machine once again. Frustrating right? I did however, finally get a call back from their receptionist a little while later who I have always found to be on point and professional. She was rude to me and told me I should not loose my Rx paper in future (I actually agree). I don’t however agree with her making me feel bad when I am already going through something she has no idea about. And she spoke so rude to me :( I had to plea with her to send me another Rx by email so I could get my x-rays done and not have to go back to the clinic. She agreed to do this. Well after that call I felt sad and bad for needing treatments. I also never received my Rx by email (also double checked they had my correct email on file) and I was checking my “junk” folder too. I never did get the x-rays, instead I went to my Physio who put my mind at ease and is helping me work through my concern. I get that medical clinics are busy but if you can’t treat clients with respect, gratitude and assisting with recommended diagnostics then why provide a service in the first place. I am sad to say I will not be going back.

Karmen Zeviar

The receptionist here is very organized and polite. The doctors are great & helpful.

jay

Great experience from Dr. Henderson, and receptionist will definitely be coming back.thank you for helping me.

Simon Goumaz

julian mentasti

I walked in asking to see if the walk in clinic was open, and the receptionist starting going off on me before I could ask her anything she abruptly started saying how she's had enough and that she wanted to go home. I understand that, but she didn't even look at me. I don't feel like anyone should be greated at a clinic, specially if they are looking for help.

angelica segui

Went here on Wednesday around 7 pm since it said the clinic is open until 9pm. The place was closed, please update your hours if it’s changed.

Samer Mohamed

I’ve had the same doctor twice here and he was the nicest. The receptionist was a wonderful lady, and wait time wasn’t long.

Maple is one of great medical clinic in New West with good services. I have been going to Maple medical clinic for last 2 year and have always had good experiences. Very professional, kind and helpful staff.

Vishal Girdhar

These guys try to rush you so much that they end up putting a wrong name on a prescription and forgetting to give you all the prescriptions.

Magdalena N

I have been a patient of maple medical clinic for over 10 years. I have seen several doctors there who have been great. Dr. Henderson has been my primary physician there. I feel very fortunate to have found such a detail orientated physician. The walk in clinics allow the doctors only a few minutes per patient visit that part is a fact but dr Henderson spends the time to listen diagnose, refer and treat when appropriate. I have always felt cared for and appropriately referred to specialists when necessary. Thank you maple medical for doing such a great job everyday Even tho you get swamped with tons of patients daily you truly care.

Alex Pereira

Appreciate the receptionist Stephanie who offered to personally follow up on my MRI requisition. Exceeded my expectations for a walk-in.

My wife came across a very rude/dismissive female doctor here who told her not to come back because she lives too far away, and instead of looking after her (she wanted an antibiotic for a persistent cold); the doctor was more interested in arguing with her, then left her alone in a room without returning. My wife waited and then left on her own without anyone telling her anything. Extremely poor behavior for a medical practice. Places like this should be closed down..

Barb Rodger

Dr Henderson has made all my visits pleasant experiences and I felt my concerns were always addressed His humour took away my anxiety and he went out of his way to refer me to the most qualified specialists for my condition The only reason I stopped going to see him is because we now live on the North Shore!

Alex Kallis

Rude receptionist in person and nobody will answer the phone

karen Diplock

Much nicer staff at desk and Dr. Henderson is very kind , professional and helpful. I now see Dr. Peters who is also very kind, professional and gets things done. The Ladies at the front desk are so very nice and always a pleasure to be with. Thanks for such great help! Well Done!

Corey Sanz

This is my go to clinic. Wait time estimates are realistic and the staff and doctors are friendly and effective.

Rocketman

Doctors should be on your side, right? Well, this is not "exactly" the case at this clinic. What I learned from my visit to this clinic today is they care about quotas for blood work more than they care about their patients' health concerns. I wanted to have a specific test done to know where my markers are at for this one specific thing that I noticed about my health. I've done reading on the subject, trusted professional sources. My research was pointing at one possible cause that would be revealed with this test. And so, I spent 1.5h to set up an appointment and then see the doctor to find out, after sharing my concern, that the doctor has reached her quota for blood work and would not order it for me. The justification was pathetic: "tests don't tell the full story" "you don't need to know this" "in the private healthcare system, this would not be a problem" "tests come back with false positives and so they may be misleading" (don't know how this was relevant) I was told if I was 60 years old (i'm in my early 30's) and had serious symptoms, then doing this test made sense. Way to go doctor! Job well done! Your quota preserved. What about the patient? Who gives a f* about that?! Shameful p.s. she suggested I watch a movie on the topic and gave me a website on nutrition just so I stop trying to reason with her. Pathetic

Sinead Waters

After waiting almost 10 months to get a family doctor, I was so fortunate to get Dr Segal! He actively listens, takes his time with you at each appointment and is extremely thorough and professional. He really goes out of his way to get you the best possible treatment and find out the core cause of any issue. I would highly recommend Dr Segal.

Hannah Mikuska

Friendly staff and they always give fairly accurate wait times.

Fanny

Dr Kevin Li was very careless. I asked to do a general blood test check as I got hypercholesterolemia and thyroid problems and just to make sure everything is fine. He made me feel very incomfortable telling me at 28 you do not become ill and also it cost money ( am I not paying my taxes or what)?!!.. I told him off his job was to care about his patients. I don't think he was happy about it but who cares? Dr. Lamont used to be very caring but don't go see Kevin Li unless you want to have a careless doctor.

Shannon Martin

Don't waste your time or money at the walk-in clinic. If you're not eligible for a BC care card straight out avoid. Doctor ordered up $150 worth of tests. I then wasted a day getting tests done, then the clinic charged me $125 for a consultation to tell me they'd lost my chart and results. Promised to ring back with results, never did. Still have the initial medical issue. Unimpressed and out of pocket for nearly $300.

cynthia boriassi

Great experience overall. Short wait time (especially given current circumstances with Covid-19). Reception staff were patient, professional, efficient and friendly. Excellent music (helps with ambiance while waiting). I highly recommend.

Shermaine Chua

Really slow for walk-ins. Was given a 1.5-2 hour wait time, but ended up waiting way longer. Heads up. Went in as I had something fly into and get stuck in my eye while waiting at a bus stop. I told the front desk staff about my situation and asked whether the clinic was able to flush the object out or help in any way. I was told the doctor would take a look and advise and was given an estimate of 1.5-2 hours, but ended up waiting about 3-4 hours to see a doctor. The doctor initially seemed skeptical, then after looking harder, saw what was lodged inside and said she couldn't do anything about it. Ended up going to the ER for another 4-hour wait. I understand and respect the doctor being honest about not being confident in her ability to remove what was inside. However, I wish I had been given an accurate wait time as I would have just gone straight to the hospital instead. I had thought 1-2 hours wouldn't be too unreasonable of a wait for a simple flush or advice. This visit was over a year ago, so maybe they have since improved. However, other more recent comments about wait times over 3 hours leave me doubtful.

Brenda Murphy

I was on a visit to BC from out of province. I was registered & in to see Dr. Garry Henderson within the hour. He was extremely professional! It was a fabulous experience!

I originally drove all the way to the Broadway & Burrard clinic from Sunset, and the Broadway and Burrard clinic was closed without notice.. I was very sick with a terrible flu and was disappointed to say the least. I decided to look up other clinics and I'm thankful I did, I went into the Maple Walk-In Clinic on Wednesday afternoon (September 13th 2017). The front desk receptionist was an absolute darling, very welcoming and attentive when I first walked in. The wait was long (two hours) as the clinic down the street was unexpectedly closed, but the lovely lady at the front desk was comforting and suggested I go out for a little while and come back in for my appointment and I did. I walked around the area a bit, grabbed some tea at the Blenz shop across the street and came back in two hours later. The doctor I saw was an incredible lady, she was careful and thoughtful in my diagnosis. Both the front desk receptionist and the doctor worked overtime to ensure they saw all patients that night, I truly appreciate the hard work and effort that comes from this clinic. Despite how busy it was, I wasn't rushed or treated badly as usual medical clinics do. The staff were patient, understanding, compassionate, knowledgable and hard working. I am new to BC and never had a better experience at a medical clinic, if ever I need to go to a medical clinic again, it will be this one. Strongly and highly recommend it! Despite my sickness and exhaustion I had an excellent experience here.

I saw a Dr. Sunday as my regular Dr. does not work Sunday;s. Guy did not even look at my rash. He kind of smirked and said do not scratch it.Then walked away. I was there one other time with neighbor, she also said the Dr. she saw was rude, curt and uncaring. Everyone says not to go here. I have to agree. DO TRY TO GET REGULAR DR. ELSEWHERE. Avoid this place if you want caring and professional service.

The front desk staff is always friendly and helpful. Dr Lamont is my favourite, but I always get thorough treatment regardless of which doctor is there at the time.
