Glad we did, everything was great from the booking to getting our results. This is the longest review I have ever made. I have seen Dr. Ko since I was young from I don't know 8 or 9 years old. I could be his longest patient. He has seen me get sick from time to time and when I got into car accidents, and the time I tore a muscle partially in my left leg from drinking too much on a NYE. He has seen my father and mother many times. My mom gone through surgery and caring her medically. He has taken care of my dad as well. He has seen me on checkups and congratulated me and my wife on getting married. He unfortunately has to see me get angry and sad when my wife got diagnosed with bone cancer in the pelvis. He even has to see me after I am so depressed after my wife has passed away. It must not be easy for him too to see me. I never really know about his life, but I always hope he also always has a good day when I see him. All these years and I will still see him. There's no doubt I do trust him. Thank you for your care. I walked into the clinic by mistake, looking for a walk in clinic near by. The doctor saw me right away and helped me with my health issue. Even though the doctor is semi-retired and not taking patients, he helped me to get what I needed and make sure to give me multiple options for a doctor in the future. Me and my family picked Dr Simon Ko for our immigration exams after receiving a list of options. I can guarantee it was a great choice! The staff in the clinic is extremely careful and answered all our questions, since the first contact by phone. Dr Ko is very professional and also helped us with questions. I went to Dr. Ko's office with my husband for medical exams for our PR application. First of all I was very happy that they open Saturday. Even though Dr. Ko was very busy, he was kind to us and answered all our questions. Because we live far, we arrived too early, but he helped us right away anyway. We actually finished everything before our actual appointment time. It was so quick I couldn't believe, very efficient with the exams being done in the same building, saves a lot of time! We got our email on the same day with our medical exam profile to send to our immigration lawyer. Very happy with the experience!

Dr. Ko seems sly and very hard to trust. Had some family members get their immigration medical here recently and he indirectly mentioned that he is in full control of what gets reported and he will write a positive record if he keeps the refundable $20. Also, the blood pressure machine seems fixed, as my family brought their own portable machine and tested before and after. 20 points higher on Dr. Ko's machine, which results in him keeping the refundable $20 to write that in the record. Also, the overall price was higher than quoted on the phone. Seems like a scam! Beware!

So whoever want to go here should go to the first building at Keefer(West Bound) St. and Main St. then use the stair at Keefer St. That's a shortcut.

My very first google review! Highly recommend Dr. Ko for immigration medical exam!! My mom has done several immigration medical exams in the past with different doctors, but so far our experience with Dr. Ko was the best! We were able to get the appointment on the same day we called in. The receptionist was very efficient, kind and helpful and Dr. Ko was super nice, patient and professional. Not to mention, the lab and radiology are right above in the same building, very convenient！

Long review, but hear me out- I got my IME done at this clinic. While processing on the day of the appointment was relatively efficient, I am not pleased with Dr. Ko's office's treatment of patients. I tried to follow up on the status of my immigration medical and I was told that results should be sent off within a week from the date the medical was done. I called back after the week mark to specifically check on my case but they refused to check specific cases on the telephone stating that their office is too busy. I also wanted to receive a copy of my medical results. I forgot to ask for this during my visit, but when I tried to request it today, they did not pick up their telephone. I received a text message from the office stating that they were in a meeting. I sent a simple text message stating that I would like a copy of my medical results, but they haven't replied yet. It has been 4 hours and I cannot help but feel that they are intentionally ignoring me. I know another person who got their medical done around the same time as me and they had issues following up on their appointment as well. They are actually afraid to even call back in fear that the reception will intentionally delay sending the medical results to IRCC. I think that pretty much sums it up - this office uses blocking tactics preventing people from checking up on their applications. But this is wrong and I am choosing to speak up to ensure that other people do not end up having the unfortunate fate of dealing with Dr. Ko's office. Dr. Ko now charges a higher rate - a recent change based on what other people have told me. After the tests, everything comes up to ~$360 while most clinics charge between $310 and $325. Other clinics have glowing reviews for customer service. I'm not sure why I am paying extra if the service is not good and they ignore their patients and requests for access to their own health records. I encourage others to take their business elsewhere.

not recommend at all! The only good thing about this place is all the exams can be done in the same building and Nice life lab workers. Regarding the Dr. Simon Ko' clinic, very rude chinese receptionist, unprofessional service from registration to end, the doctor won't talk to you for more than 10s, maybe he is busy, but the receptionist give you dirty look and all she knows is collecting $200 from you! They don't explain you anything, really regret came here and give money away to someone unprofessional, rude, inattentive and disrespectful. Please go and find other doctors who at least care and respect patients or visitors especially under this unprecedented time.

Dr Ko is kinda cool and he looks cold however he is kind at heart. My first impression on him was like he does not show any emotions on his face and of course I didn't like it. He was not really friendly or caring looking. As he goes for checking my condition, he was pretty professional and was willing to give a prescription that I prefer rather than what he thinks better. I would give him 5 stars if there was any free parking available near the clinic. Dr.Ko performed my immigration medical exam when I came to Canada 1990. He is a very caring and diligent doctor. In 1995, I got gallstones which caused me lots of pain. I had to get surgery at the hospital to get them removed. I stayed at the hospital for 17 days. Dr.Ko came and visited me 4 times during my stay there. Last year, I went to the emergency room because I developed kidney stones. I didn't stay there for too long because the doctors at the hospital said the stone will come out in a few days. Dr.Ko called a few days later to check up on me and wanted a follow up. Dr. Ko has demonstrated the outmost amount of attentiveness and commitment towards me as his patient. He is a very responsible and respectable doctor that you will find. I am very thankful to be his patient for the last 31 years.

Dr. Ko has been my family doctor since 1997. He is a very professional doctor. He is caring and responsible. He speaks at least 3 languages. That’s very helpful as I don’t understand all the medical terms and can communicate with him in Chinese. After I moved to the Tri-cities areas, I still kept him as my family doctor. It’s a bit of commute to go to his office but I just like him as my family physician. During the COVID, I was able to seek his medical advice over the phone. This is so convenience that I hope he can keep this option available after the COVID. I’ve had some lab tests done recently; he even called me after office hours to let me know the test results. I am so grateful to have Dr. Ko as my family doctor. I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone who needs a good family doctor.
