What can I say about a liver specialist? Well, from my personal experience, I accompanied my dad to see Dr Tam. The most important aspect of any doctor is their bedside manner. I found Dr Tam to be very approachable and always answered my question. I saw from a previous reviewer that he wasn't helpful. But most patient's circumstances are not favorable when they see a specialist. Please dont blame the doctor. My advice to anyone is that you need to stay informed and be on top of the sickness. I am doing everything for my dad. (But NOT necessarily spend all our money) Be well and have peace.

The Doctor and staff are the most respectable people I have been involved with in the medical field for many many years! Awesome group of professional that treat you like a person and not just an annoyance like many medical personnel. I was able to contact them when I had questions or concerns and usually got a reply the same or next day. They speak to you in terms you understand without making you feel stupid.

I had appoinment witt Dr Yik initially and I was devastated for the results and the behavior of the doctor and the receptionist. Really badly and not support or help with the next tests. After the results the doctor was rude and impolite the reason is because he is retiring and sending me to another specialist. He doesn't care.

Had my second visit today for fibroscan. It was very quick than my previous ultrasounds which is great and the technician was quite approachable compared to other staff. Dr. Tam doesn't really address patient's concerns and questions that much from what I expected so I always leave with nothing. It's understandable that they do their job, but being empathetic and understanding is also important. Also the receptionist, (I believe her name is Mary) , is a bit rude. She is not welcoming at all even when just booking for appointments, she looks at you disrespectfully. I find her sarcastic when she answers your questions. I also believe that they shouldn't treat people like that. I hope this review will be addressed after this, since I have another follow up after 3 months. I guess all they care about is money.

Dr Tam is a very knowledgeable and friendly liver specialist. He was able to answer all of my questions. I left the office feeling very optimistic and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone in need.

How can this be a trustworthy place when they are bankrupted!! Wanted me to do a liver biopsy because there was a study suitable for me. That was a year ago. In this particular study, they said they would pay for any missed work. Long story short, they still haven't paid me yet, and I just found out from their bankruptcy paper that they owe me more than $1200!! This Rene Hahn even said would make out a cheque to me earlier before all this nonsense was happening, but he's just a liar and thief. How can a specialist go into bankruptcy?? Unless he's stealing from his patients and the study sponsors.

Dr. Edward Tam is a liver specialist in this Centre, however, his response towards the illness of my mother in law is very bad. Asked us why we were here, who referred him to us, What ? you are a doctor, should be a professional. But he does not has it all. And without any patient to listen what we asked, he sounds did not want to treat my mother in law. He just wanted to push us to leave his office. Finally, he always asked us to see our Family Doctor. What, family doctor, then why we come here? You are a liver specialist, you should be responsible to treat every patient, not just said something irresponsible message. I asked, should we see you again about my mother in law case, he said no. That is my first time to hear the specialist to say to see back family doctor. He is super non professional . Don't care patient and family members feelings. I was asking what is the cause of liver cancer. He said he didn't know! We should follow her with my family doctor!! That is repeated sentence he said to us. I will not highly recommend such doctor.!!!! He just wants to earn money and money!!!r. Edward Tam is
