I was very impressed with Dr. Mutat and his staff. He did a thorough exam of my hands and feet. He did not make me feel rushed. He let me ask lots of questions. He is referring me back to a neurologist for further never tests before doing anything about my hands. The neuropathy in my feet remains a mystery.

I was recently referred to Dr. Mutat regarding 4 bulging discs. Dr. Mutat was direct and forthright when he assessed my condition offering me a non surgical option. He placed the responsibility of avoiding surgery on me, its what I needed to hear. He offered clarity and a challenge that if I adhere to his professional opinion my condition will improve. This man told me I NEEDED to be on nerve blockers and had to have surgery involving rods screws and was looking at a year recovery. Second opinion said that he would never operate on my back and offered non invasive solutions. Also was very happy I refused nerve blockers that I was told I would be on forever! Be very cautious! Second options take time but are worth it!

Dr Mutat is a living national treasure for our country. After diagnosing my wife from an MRI who was in constant crippling pain down into her legs, he fused two neck vertebrae but noted that, depending on the outcome, a second operation might be necessary. The operation was successful in dealing with pain caused by the neck vertebrae. But there remained additional pain caused by deterioration in her lower back so a second operation was done. Now some seven months since the second operation my wife is without pain most of the time and walking around without assistance - nothing short of a miracle for us. Thank you once again Dr. Mutat. By the way, Dr. Mutat's Assistant Debbie is number one as well - always cheerful, patient and focused on getting you your appointment and operation date as soon as possible.

Ten years ago my L4 burst in and attacked my Sciatica Nerve. I was Reffered to Dr. Mutat two years later. I carried myself on crutches for three years. In 2012 he infused my discs and got me walking again!! Since then Debbie is The Best, she has been there for so much and really helped me through alot of bad days. Im still having Dr. Mutat take care of injections because I can't take inflammatory medications...I would definitely recommend Dr. Mutat he is truly a caring Surgeon!!!

THE WORST SURGEON EVER. I had 2 herniated disks in my lower back and he performed a surgery on me in 2018.The MRI results from before & after the surgery are almost the SAME!!!!! I am only 40 years old and after 2.5 years I am still in 24 hour pain... Can't sit or stand more than 10 minutes. Also he is super rude and unkind. The only thing he wants is to kick you out of his office.and the only treatment that he knows is taking tons of Gabapentin I'd have a better life if I had a better surgeon.

I had two disintegrated discs in my lower back which meant a fusion of three vertebra which Dr. Mutat performed. I was up walking the day of the operation and home the next. Never had a moments discomfort from the incision nor the hardware installed. I was walking a mile a day just one week after the operation - remarkable! Dr. Mutat is a man of few words but an excellent surgeon. Debbie , who handles his front desk is also great and always is a huge help and very efficient. Again another outstanding experience with Dr.Mutat. This time non-surgical but using fluoroscopy injection of anti-inflammatory into lower spine. I cannot express my extreme admiration for this surgeons talent and skills.
