came here because my back pain was UNBEARING so i came here, this doctor, asian man looked at me and he was very rude, he asked why i am here and i tell him im in really bad back pain, HE TELLS ME IM FAT AND I NEED TO LOSE WEIGHT! YES MAYBE I DO i weigh 180 btw BUT MY BACK HURTS i start excersiing and i keep working, at my job i can barely walk because the pain was so bad i go to another doctor and they told me to go to emergency, i get to the hospital and i have to go into EMERGENCY SURGERY as soon as possible because i had a harsh disk bulging out . this could have been delt with earlier but this doctor was ignorant! The bulging disk destroyed my nerves on my right leg and i could not walk.

Tim Adkins

The doctors are consistently good, the administrative staff tend to be rude and/or incompetent. I see other reviewers have noted this -- there seems to be a bit of a problem with the culture here.

Sarah Cranston

I had a 1.5 hour wait (was able to go home and come back) but the wait was so worth the service. Dr. Julie Lacuna was caring, provided excellent service, and didn't rush the visit. Thank you!

Angelique Lahtinen

Worst clinic to go to ever they said be an hour wait I was there for an hour an half I got there 8:30am I had to be at work at 10 am I was late for work cuz they took for ever made me wait in the doctor room for 30 mins it's close to my work and my apartment but they need to hire more staff they honestly sooooo slow and the staff stand around gossiping instead of actually working how bout u guys help the clients instead of gossiping that's what your paid for DO NOT GO HERE

Jake Hammond

Receptionist I talked to was very rude and seemed liked she didn’t care about anything . Interesting phone call.

I came here for a virtual "walk-in" during COVID19, so I checked in online and waited for a phone call. Dr. Kwong called me within half an hour (as the website informed me someone would), and she was courteous and thorough in going over my symptoms and scheduling testing for me. I highly recommend this clinic. I also spoke with one of the office staff members briefly, and she was professional and efficient.

Sam K

Very rude receptionist. Feels like you're not welcome or you're at the Canadian border.

Calvin Palmer (ワンワン)

Prompt, no-nonsense service. Don't expect to be at the front of the line just because you arrived during the opening hour. Plan ahead, and expect to wait if you arrive in the daytime hours. Conveniently located above London Drugs and a bus stop is right outside.

Rosealyn Dasilva

The woman at the door greeting patients pointed the tepetire gun right at my head even though I put my wrist out because I told her I didn't want it at my head. She ignored me and violated me by taking it at my head anyway. Then gave me a blue mask of their own to wear even though I had my own, they said mine wasn't good enough.

Samuel Liebermann

Long wait, no ability to set appointment, excellent medical staff.

Ashley

This is my second time at/with Crossroads. This time being in a pandemic, protocols are in placed. Everyone would need to have a consultation over the phone instead of your regular walk-in. I have skin rashes that needed to be checked. I joined the waiting list on Crossroads’ website to have a chat with a doctor about my situation and got a phone call in less than an hour. Dr. Lam was very patient with me explaining my situation. I was instructed to email a few pictures in for her to look and she called me back very quickly. She diagnosed me, explained my diagnosis very well, and sent my prescriptions to my chosen pharmacy. I got my prescriptions the next day. I will definitely choose Crossroads for future visits.

Peter Dowdy

There was an hour and forty-five minute wait, as the front desk staff suggested their might be. Once I was seen (by Dr. Lucky), service was prompt and thorough. The clinic helped set up my follow-up appointment, which was nice.

Brita Unger

I have been to this walk in clinic many times over the years and they've always been excellent. Most importantly, the doctors have gone out of their way to be extra kind and caring. Sometimes it's a longer wait which is expected at any clinic but I always leave happy. Thank you!

just the worst. wasted an hour trying to see someone. doctor wouldn't even talk to me

Nicole Doucette

Receptionist mixed up my health file with someone who had the same name... So when I got my prescription it was for another Nicole Doucette, and I could see her address, number, etc. Needless to say I had to go back to the walk in to get the prescription revised. Patient mix-up is a pretty serious matter though.

Michael Morgan Bain

Update: Im sorry to say I have revised this review down after subsequent experiences here. Revising my review downwards as the staff would not only not give results on the line, but requested i come in and sit for another 1.5 hours in a walk in to be seen if i wanted to get my results. Further , when I called to confirm if I came in the hour I'd be seen by the excellent Dr Tang they said yes. So I walked for an hour to the clinic, and when I arrived they told me they were full and not only could I not see Dr Tang, but I could "try in the afternoon" to see "a different doctor". When asked for a timeframe they told me not to call for at least 1- 1.5 hours to check. It's like they don't have any regard for the fact that people have jobs and lives because they are so focused on their walk-in only policy. I was quite honest with them at the desk about this. The staff remain pleasant but I have to say the response to a patient coming down after checking twice if it was ok to do so should never be to turn them away as you bear the responsibility of that patient coming in. Regardless of changes in the wait time. Surely there should be appointments available for people returning for follow ups or results? Original review: As far as walk-in clinics in Vancouver go , this has been my best experience. Yes the wait time was around an hour for me but I called before to see if it was worth even coming and they told me in no uncertain terms what the chances to be seen where and how quickly I'd need to be there. The doctor I saw was sharp, educated and understanding and I didn't feel rushed at all. He was sympathetic to my situation and wanted to help. The reception staff were friendly and professional which is unusual for a Vancouver clinic, a city where many of the clinical reception staff are curt at best and rude at worst. I'd really recommend this clinic as it's doctors seem to be a cut above the competition. I would say though, be cautious about how you respond to reviews of your business on Google. Reading some of the review responses here surprised me because the team I met were so nice!

Jessica Leung

Wait four hours to see a doctor for a refill. Wrote the wrong dosage on the RX. If you are looking for a simple request like I did I would recommend EQ Virtual.

Seriously, a very efficient and well-run walk-in clinic. I've been here 3 times and even though it's busy, the wait is relatively short for the amount of people that come and go. The doctors are all very professional and they always ask if I want a female doctor which is nice. No problems with the receptionist or calling... Parking is paid under the building for $3.25/hr. I've been here on a stat holiday at 10am and waited 45 mins. Been here Monday morning at 8am and waited 20 mins. Been here Thursday afternoon at 6pm and waited 20 mins. If anyone was curious about the various wait times.

april steinke

We walked in. The receptionist was helpful and kind. We had a long wait but she said we could just leave and told us when we should be back. The doctor went above and beyond to help my husband with his medical issue.

Tatiana

Last time I was told it would be 1.5 hour waiting, but I waited over 3 hours. Today I was told 20 minutes, and after 30 minutes, I was asked to come in, where I waited another 25 minutes before I had to leave. Not going back there again. Place was completely empty and I still waited 1 hour, and didn't see the doctor!

Colton Little

Routinely turn away patients early into the day. The doctor I saw here told me I might have an eye disease that could cause me to go blind - not even close to the actual diagnosis I received at the hospital. Watched the same Doctor struggle for nearly 20 minutes to give my partner 3 super loose stitches on her hand. Pathetic service, incompetent medical staff. Look elsewhere for help or go to the hospital, these people can't help you.

Shelina Harji

It is not easy to get through to this clinic on the phone. They told me at first that they dont see kids at the clinic , then I get a call confirming an appt that I never made. Apparently they had the wrong email down which is not my fault . Then when you try and cancel , not only was the receptionist rude , but they threaten to charge me for an appt I never made .

William Fitzpatrick

Hour and a half wait at 9am crazy!

This clinic is only getting one star because I am unable to give half a star or less. I went in to Cross Roads about being extremely tired, and the abnormal enlargement of my lower abdomen and what I can only describe as chronic bloatedness. The doctor sent me to have an ultrasound which showed multiple uterine myoma (fibroids). There was no mention of size except that there were multiple. I was referred to their in house OBGYN who without mentioning other treatment stated I needed surgery. For two years before surgery I went to the walk-in clinic and their OBGYN for pain, extreme pain, pain that on a scale of 1-10 was a 9+. I saw different doctors whenever I visited the clinic (which is normal for a walk in clinic). But each treated me with lack of empathy as if my pain did not exist. One doctor told me that I shouldn't be in such pain because the biggest fibroid was only 4 cm. Another told me he is unable to prescribe me pain medication because there wasn't any analgesic over the counter that could stop the pain. A few months before my surgery one of the doctors told me he is not able to prescribe me anything for pain because they had given me a prescription for pain. I had only receive one prescription from that clinic for the pain in the earlier stages, during the period of all the diagnostic tests. That last doctor made me feel that I am drug seeking. Not seeking relief from pain, but drug seeking. I depended on information from Google search and from groups for people suffering from the Uterine Fibroids and Uterine Cancer. After two years I finally had surgery. The largest fibroid was 12 inches. The size of a basketball or a large watermelon. The surgery itself was eventful. I was overmedicated with anesthetics and my heart stopped for 10 seconds. At the hospital I was told that it was due to an underlying heart problem, and was advised to see my doctor. That information was given to me by the OBGYN who performed surgery, i.e. Crossroads OBGYN. I do not have a family doctor (because we have a shortage of family doctors in BC who are accepting new patients) so I returned to Cross Roads Clinic. I hoped then the doctor would read the surgical report and explain what happened. Nope, he simply wrote a referral to see a cardiologist. I met with a cardiologist at St. Paul's Hospital. She stated if the doctor who referred me had only read the hospital report or if he'd taken the time to, the report clearly stated that I was overmedicated with anaesthetics. She sent me for ECG, ultrasound of the heart, 24 hour holter-monitor and a series of other heart function test. They were all normal. She explained that it was necessary to do these test because I was referred and also to determine if there was indeed an underlying heart condition or if there was damage due to the over medication/stopped heart beat etc. She stated that it was shameful that I had to go through this when the answers were in the surgical report; I had been over-medicated. Though it was not her specialty, she explain the surgery, how I was expected to recover or feel etc. Gosh!! It was a cardiologist 2.7 years later who gave me a bit of information, not Crossroads doctor or OBGYN!! A cardiologist!! Who even cared to ask me other clinical questions not to do with my diagnosis. She even cared to look me in the eye!! Humanity is one of the things that Crossroads Clinicians lack, basic humanity.

You are better off going to any other clinic in the city. The staff are incredibly dispassionate and curt. I feel you could walk in with a large bleeding wound and they'd talk to you with the same deadpan expression they give everyone. I get their job is tough, but most other clinics you won't experience this. Their time estimates are always way off. Whatever time they give you, double it at least. I grew tired of their clinic and decided to go elsewhere, but they even are difficult to work with when transferring client information to another clinic. I've been sitting at a different clinic for an hour now who has been repeatedly calling asking them to forward my medical information, and they just will not.

Got missdiagnossed twice for something that should have been obviest and ended up in intensive care a week later.......

I've been a patient here for 7 years now. I liked it a lot for the first few, but that has changed. The issue is the staff at the reception. I'm not sure why, but they've given up being friendly and helpful, and seem to really have aversion for people coming in. I've noticed this consistently over at least the last three years. I was there a few months ago and was talking about some tests with one of the ladies at the front desk. She was not being very friendly until she realised they had made a mistake with my record and suddenly she turned sweet as honey and went above and beyond to help. Today I was back there for something else and got the same woman at the reception again, unfortunately she treated me very coldly and was back to being unhelpful and unfriendly. I have mostly had good experiences with the Doctors though, so that's why I gave two stars. So frustrating in a city where one doesn't have many options.

hemingway ladouceur

I had to be put on hold for 20 min just to be told they didn't take any appointments by one of the rudest receptionist. awful customer service. Save your time and go somewhere else.

Just Jane

Receptionists are unorganized, miserable and unhelpful. Made the mistake of coming here after a car accident and now I must continue to return to this location for my follow ups. Doctors are incredibly helpful, efficient, thoughtful, thorough and kind but the treatment you receive from the receptionists is so unprofessional and nasty that it makes it difficult to appreciate the other positives aspect of this clinic.

Jillian Elle

No compassion, yes the sign on the door shows at capacity, but the medimap app wasn't updated. Not even a sorry for the inconvenience of leaving your house when sick to find out they can't help you, especially when it is said to be open for 3 more hours and no one is in the waiting room (I understand people may have stepped out rather than wait) but even a fake apology would have been appreciated when you feel so under the weather.

Jesse Ward-Bond

I walked in after work and was told by the friendly front-desk staff that the wait would be around an hour. The wait was around an hour. The doctor was a bit brusque. But they were absurdly busy so his need to move on to the next patient was understandable. Despite the rush, he was nice and understanding. This place met my realistic expectations for a walk-in clinic.

Andrea K Haid

2 hour waits but knowledgable and kind doctors. Last time I went it was for my kid and the doctor took the time to answer all my questions.

Kevin

The people here dislike patients. It's likely a management and operations issue that trickles down to the staff who have no power to change the processes they work within. Basically, they act like they don't want you there or coming in. You are getting in the way of them being alone and able to relax and do nothing — basically you are causing them work, which gives them employment, and gets them paid but makes them unhappy. Strange concept.

I’m Ready

THEY WERE GOING TO SEND ME TO SEE A SPECIALIST AND NEVER GOT A CALL FIRST TIME I GO TO A CLINIC IN ABOUT 4 YEARS AND THIS IS WHY I DONT LIKE GOING TO THESE CLINICS DONT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE

Victoria Egan

Helpful and fast! Even on a Saturday with a lot of people it only took about 40 minutes. Clinic is really modern and clean

Liza Whittingham

Wait time for walk-in is quite long, but worth it. Received excellent care and everyone was polite and professional.

Chris S

I see a lot of reviews here criticizing the receptionists. This may be one of the busiest clinics in Vancouver. If they are in a rush, it's because they're handling an insane amount of calls. I don't have a family doctor, so this is my go-to clinic whenever I get sick. I see a different doctor each time, and every single time I've had a great experience with an empathetic doctor. I just got off a call with Dr. Wozny who was able to write me a prescription and fax it to my local pharmacy without me going in physically. Thank you Dr. Wozny.

Laura Anderson

I am giving this clinic one star because it wouldn't let me post a review with zero stars. I went into this walk in clinic because I had a q-tip stuck in my ear (silly I know). I waited almost two hours and when I finally got in there, the doctor (who didn't even tell me her name) looked in each of my ears and told me she couldn't help me because I needed to see an ENT. I asked her if I needed to go into emergency, and if there was a risk of infection and she explicitly said "Well, it's not an emergency, and there's always a risk of infection." Something wasn't sitting right with me, so I went to the ER for the first time in my life, after waiting for hours and hours, and finally getting to see an ENT I was informed that my ear was ALREADY infected. Infected to the point that it was blatantly obvious, and the walk-in doctor should have at the very least prescribed antibiotics. The team in the emergency room told me to NEVER go back to that clinic. They could not believe that they had sent me away to wait "for at least a week" to see an ENT. If I knew the name of the doctor that saw me I would lodge an official complaint with the College of Physicians and Surgeons and Ratemds. But I can't even think about that clinic, let alone call in there without losing my temper. This clinic is a horrific, embarrassing excuse for medical care. No question.

Great family doctor!

Brought 15 month old. 45 min wait. Let us leave to do some shopping (London Drugs downstairs) . Timely on our return. Front end staff are efficient . Dr. Was quick with prescription . Overall very organized and quick. Open Saturdays.

Please PLEASE save yourself a traumatic experience in this clinic and go to another physician to avoid an experience like mine. To give you a bit of a context, I had a cyst growth on my shoulder that had been very infected and causing a lot of pain. When I got to Crossroads, I'd already seen two other physicians at another clinics who repeatedly dug into my wound because "they didn't get it right the first time." Though they used anesthesia during both removal process, they had left a deeper hole each time on my shoulder, and the pain had continued for a bout two weeks. Not to mention that I was working a full-time job with a part time school, incredibly distressed about the fact that the wound has been getting worse over time. I went into Crossroads without much context because a) it was closest to my work (it is very conveniently located) and b) there was puss as well as gauze in the "hole" that they dug to remove the cyst and I thought redressing the wound wouldn't be much trouble. The waiting process took about two hours, and when they called me in an asian male doctor with very curt, and obnoxious attitude was assgined to me. He aggressively removed my dressing though it was very sore and sensitive, and quickly informed me that the cyst hadn't been properly removed. At this point I was breaking down in tears from so much distress and shaking in fear of the idea that they would have to dig deeper into my wound. However, the physician that was with me had ZERO care for the emotional / physical state that I was in, and in the matter of seconds dug into my painful, infected wound WITHOUT ANY ANESTHESIA. I was screaming in pain, and by the time I was in shock of what had happened, he told me he was done and that I was ready to leave. Zero warning. Zero context. Zero Choice of how I wanted to continue with this situation. The incredible amount of apathy, unprofessional bedside manner this clinic has is unbelievable. I am in disbelief that they are still open as a health clinic, and would want NO one struggling with health to visit / encounter this clinic.

Eric Kai

The wait is long but it's really fast when the doctor sees you. Front desk can be more friendly, but not a big issue. This place sees you when your family doctor cannot, and that's invaluable to me.

Jaimie Hunt

Honestly what a joke. They haven't even been open 15 minutes and they told me the wait is minimum 1.5 hours!

Alisha Thompson

Crossroads is a good walk in clinic, and is picking up the slack from the walk in clinic across the street closing down. Sometimes longer wait times, but good service. Wait times are visible on Medimap App.

David Metcalfe

Avoid this place if you are going there to get forms filled out. They charge an exorbitant amount of money for the minimal work required on their part, and at least double that of any other clinic I've received quotes from.

Toby Lam

This clinic opens at 8am and by 9 it is crazy busy. Expect long wait times and stressed-out staffs. The clerk that helped me in particular was so busy that she didn't look at me. I kept thinking "who she talking to?" And "Oh, she's talking to me."

The best part of this Clinic is the waiting room. Long waits , doctor had infection and face mask on. Got a lab order never called me for results when i called they would not tell ke phone and insist i comein for result's

The receptionist was incredibly rude and wouldn't even let me tell her why I was there without cutting me off every other word. Told me it would be a 45 minute wait but it ended up being an hour and a half. The doctor was very unprofessional and apparently doesn't even know what a cyst is, as he told me I am 100% healthy which is so obviously not the case. The whole experience was a complete joke.

Hostil Doctor and nurses. I brought my child to see Dr. Kitson. She was ok before I got trouble with the Vancouver Coastal Health. South Vancouver Healthcare Centre closed my child's file by mistake and I complained about them. I tried to get help from Dr. Kitson but she talked to the people in the healthcare centre and surprisingly, she started to against me. Dr. Kitson didn't try to help my child and tried to finding my fault. Also the Japanese nurse was offensive and remarked sercastic to me. The chinese nurse was even mean to my 3 years old child. She minded my child when my child hesitated to step on the scale and yelled at my child when my child was giggling. Finally, I decided to stop working with Doctor here and tried to get the record of my child. The receptionist got angry at me and refused to give me the records over the phone. I don't recommend this clinic due to their abusive and unprofessional treatment.

Philip Hicks

Absolute heroes! I had been suffering with a clogged ear for about a week. I had tried all the home remedies and was desperate to avoid going to the Doctor, especially at the moment with much bigger community concerns like COVID. It got to the point where I was feeling dizzy and nauseous and that was my tipping point, I needed to see a doctor as it was not going away with all the home remedies and ear drops I was using. I rang the clinic at 11:45 this morning, had a call back from Dr Angela Lee by 12:45 and was in the clinic by 13:00. In and out super quick, ear flushed, hearing back, nausea and dizziness gone. Genuinely great service from start to finish. Staff all super professional, definitely will go back to them again if I need anything else. Thanks for all the help and keeping us safe. I appreciate you all :)

Didn't have to wait long, and Dr Lee (Li?) was great - very efficient but with a great bedside manner.

Lyndsey Barton

Yes the wait time was long, but it was well worth it for the service received. Dr. Lim was amazing. I felt listened to and like she was trying to get to the root of the problem, not just simply prescribing something that would have me back there in a week like the last two clinics I had visited. She also offered her recommendations of pharmacists in the city and told me when I could expect to hear back from their office with test results (both without me having to ask) The waiting area was also great and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful.

Rebecca Lyubimov

I came at 19:00 and it was closed, because doctors had finished their capacity for today... what?

Paige Eastman

Went in at 10 am and was told they were not taking any 'new patients' but I'm confused as it is a walk in clinic and I didn't think you needed to be an actual patient to go to a walk in clinic. The lady at the reception did absolutely nothing to explain or even help me? Just said ' we aren't taking new patients ' then looked at me until I left . Should have just went to simply wellness like I normally do.

Ferma Ravn-Greenway

I give this medical clinic 0 stars. I saw Dr. Lee and he was the worst doctor I have ever seen in my life. Weirdly, he also had to have an observer in the room when he drained an abscess on my upper thigh as I had to take off my pants. This type of supervision is at times required when there have been complaints in the past from female patients when undressed. So, well, that's weird and scary to say the least. Aside from that, as noted by the other reviewers, Dr. Lee is condescending and unprofessional. I have no clue why a business would continue to employ a physician who is so clearly substandard.

Nathalie Carter

Unprofessional and uncaring of their clients time and needs.

Third time here, third bad experience. This time: nurse at reception told me it won't be long. That was over an hour ago. I'm still waiting to see a doctor. Last time, I was mis-diagnosed by an older female doctor and it took me months until I saw another doctor who calmed me down and gave me a proper diagnosis about my sexual health. Do not go to this clinic for routine sexual health screening. Time before that: waited almost two hours after being told it it's a 30m wait

Rust Cohle

It was 8:00 PM and I saw on line that it closes at 9:00 so I head up there due to a last minute issue which was not an emergency. When I got there it was 8:19 and asked the Asian front desk assistant (there were three assistants) if I could see a doctor. She didn't even ask what the reason was that I wanted to see the doctor and in an displeasing tone answered "no". When I told her there should be a sign at the doors indicating they were closed she yelled at me. I wonder why a place like this which should have people who care for others (it's a walk-in clinic so you should expect people looking for help, not to be treated like trash) employs this type of person without the basic customer skills and respect for others. If you, people of Vancouver, hate serving people, please look for a job that does not require to do so. But please, respect people or treat them as humans. People like you are the reason why some consider this city soulless

Andrew Ooi

I was just at Crossroads with my parents. They were quick and easy and Dr. Angela Lee and Dr. Yong were amazing and nice. In and out in 45 min, diagnosis and all. Will definitely go back!

Liina Koivula

I have come to this clinic twice - once in 2018 and then again a couple of weeks ago - and had great experiences both times. The new booking system is cumbersome but it is not difficult to navigate. The doctor called me back in a shorter time than suggested and was able to get me in to an appointment right away (this was on a Thursday morning). I have found the doctors and staff supportive and helpful.

Therese Boullard

I've consistently had great service. The staff are efficient and the doctors I've dealt with are thorough and thoughtful. The wait times are usually conservative estimates, so if you leave thinking you have 90 minutes, come back after 60 minutes so you don't miss your turn.

John Paragas

If I could just give zero star, then I would! Came in for my wife's follow up, we came in at around 9:45am, there was no people waiting so she was told it won't be long. So we waited, after almost an hour we've noticed a lot of people are coming in and out quickly but obviously we were ahead of them. So after waiting for more than an hour. We followed up with the receptionist and said doctors are closing charts which a lousy reason!!! Obviously, the receptionist forgot to log in my wife's name. Specifically, the receptionist in the far left!!! Go somewhere else! The reviews are correct! Their receptionist are not the friendliest, no smile, no hi, no how are you. Might as well just hire robots!

Only went once, the wait was to be upwards of two hours, so I did not stay long enough to see a doctor.

The idea of a walk in clinic + pediatrics + pregnancy is just wrong. People with any germs you can possibly imagine will be there sharing a room with babies and mothers to be. Just wrong!

Sandra Bérubé

I just got a serie of pretty bad experiences with the doctors in that clinic and went through some scary times recently. In the 2 last years I went there, they lost my MRI results and they would have never realized if I had not done the follow up myself, they forgot to sent in important referrals for specialists, when they did after I double checked the job realized they did mistakes in the referrals and did not sent attached results nor even referred to the proper body part problem, a doctor tried very very hard and was awkwardly insistent to convince me to take anti depressors while telling me I had a brain tumor they had lost the results for, (medication I don't need, never asked for and refused multiple times in the same 10 minutes... I'm guessing that doctor must have very nice commision from the pharma industry when she gets them a new patient!). They lost my brain MRI results. I just learned I had a brain tumor months after I actually went for my MRI, and just because I had never received, when going there for another medical reason. The entire time I was there the doctor just tried to convince me to start using anti depression medication which I don't need and never asked for!!! They also refused for a year and a half to give me referrals needed in my case and insisted about thinking I had to do physio and see how it would help before sending me for MRI, giving me diagnostic that I knew was wrong (tennis elbow) even though all started suddenly after an accident with very severe and multiple impacts and concussion. Almost 2 years later I finally got the MRI for it and of course its a torn ligament and not tennis elbow. I had to quit my career and my life have been on hold because of their incessant mistakes. They also forgot to send in a referral to UBC sport medecine clinic, I was waiting in vain for an appointment for 3 months, and now have to wait another 3. But also had to have the referral redone as they sent it in finally for the wrong body part, and did not attached my results. All that after fighting to get an MRI referral for a year and a half to have that injury checked and finally getting an MRI that confirmed my pain had nothing to do with the diagnostic they were giving me that I knew was wrong (as it started right after 2 bad accidents involving multiple impacts and concussions a few days apart). This is affecting my life a lot, I had to quit my career because of those injusries. They just don't care, they do mistakes after mistakes and give bad service, lose important files and don't give call back to announce brain tumor reports, keep doing more mistakes, and are trying to force feed patient medication they don't want.

Great staff but a bad setup. I got a call telling me to go in for a followup so I did right away. When I arrived I was told that they were no longer taking patients and since it wasn't urgent I could try another day. I understand that walk ins generally don't take appointments but it would be nice if they could for followups.

Heather Ballachey

This is a primary care walk-in clinic so chances are you may have to wait to see a doctor. With that said, I had an amazing experience bringing my 3.5-year-old here yesterday. When we arrived we were warned of an hour-long wait, but since many people leave the clinic during that time we were able to get in within a few minutes. Incredible! Dr. Lim was thorough, warm, friendly and had a great rapport my little girl. What a relief! The clinic is also conveniently located above London Drugs so you can go there afterwards to fill your prescription. This is the best of the walk-in options in my opinion.

Michelle Allan

Emma Berg

0 stars to the receptionist on the phone who was extremely rude today (Monday at 4:50 pm) when I called to follow up. I could not believe it. The doctor we saw was amazing though--he gets 5 stars.

張泰銘

I don’t know how the doctors here qualified to be employed. I feel sad for anyone who has to visit this location. Warning: if you’re gay or trans, or even asexual, avoid this clinic. They are so sexphobic and the doctor didn’t know the prevention rate for condoms is 98%. They don’t have any knowledge over anything.

Sarah Third

Honestly tried to charge us money for services that are rendered and paid for by MSP. This is a very sketchy doctor's office and I would highly suggest going elsewhere.

Angeline C

Dr. Michael Lee is the worst I've ever seen...I know doctors are busy..but he never made any eye contact with me, no sign of sympathy nothing..when i request him for prescription, he simply say "no" without any explanation watsoever..worst experience ever and I waited an hour and 30min

Derek Furtney

I got here on Tuesday at 12:05pm. I've almost been waiting for two hours because someone in reception didn't put my name on the waiting list.. I watched 2 people i was pretty sure signed in after me go in and when i asked how much longer since its been an hour and 45 minutes, She couldn't find my name. Yet still dismissed me saying it wont be long you're at the top of the list. No apology or anything.

Richard M

Long wait times for the walk in but I've yet to have a doctor I didn't like, and I've been there every day all week! Expect to wait 1-2 hours on average.

raunak singh

When I called them,They said that I can come in 30 mins and the doc will attend me and when I did they said that sorry we aren’t taking patients anymore and it was just 7 pm , they close at 9 pm I cabbed it all the way from Richmond only for a genuine antibiotic for high fever And this is what they did They should’ve said no in the first place.

Miranda Zimmer

front desk folks are terrible communicators, not so happy to help with any miscommunications either.

Tom Day Goodacre

Geethu Chandran

There is approximately 1 hour wait for walk in clinic . Staff are polite and friendly

邬天寒

bad telephone service, doctors don't work, don't reply

Haig Sakouyan

Huge wait times. The office looks beautiful and the people seem nice. My issue was the two hour wait on a Thursday afternoon. Once I was directed to a waiting room I sat there for another 20 minutes before the doctor saw me. She was nice and I was on my way in maybe two minutes. The night before I tried visiting and was greeted with a sign stating they were not taking any more patients for the night. That was about two hours before they were scheduled to close.

Armin Delalic

Thy aay open until 9pm ... I was there 7:50pm closed

T LC

A great walk in clinic with staff who are really friendly and prompt. I did not feel uneasy about being a new patient and was seen with a smile right away. I would definitely recommended this clinic. It's located up the elvator from the sidewalk level, and over top of London Drugs. There is parking in the back or street metered parking.

What a joke. Arrived 20 minutes after they opened to be told that they aren’t accepting patients. Only one doctor on staff

Shaun Scholtz

Not impressed at all. No sense of friendliness from the staff. Basically it's a fancy looking clinic with zero human / customer service. The wait times are off the charts. So if you're in need of seeing a doctor asap. Don't bother. You may have better luck at vgh emergency.

L N

Emilie Jolin

The front staff was nice and welcoming, but the doctor I saw barely looked at me during my visit and had one foot out the door the whole time.

Kevin Shen

It was a long wait, especially hard with my baby being impatient… But the experience with the doctor was very positive.

Caelum Gypsy

This clinic takes advantage of patients. I am in my third trimester, followed by a midwife and had to stop working since I’m in aviation and could no longer fly let alone walk for very long. My midwife gave me the necessary paperwork to stop working but since my insurance company insists on a note from a medical MD I had to find a doctor, who could fill out the same form. I came to this clinic as they charge only $15 for a doctor note. When I gave them the form, they said they could only sign it for $70. This is absolutely absurd!

Ying Wang

ONLY ZERO can match the service I received at this clinic today. First time came here in the afternoon, WORST experience!!! NO RESPECT TO PATIENTS!!! And if you don't want to be bullied by language, try to avoid dr. Tony Lee!!! I was met by dr. Tony Lee today. The attitude of disdain, arrogance, impatience started from the very beginning. He sit far away asking why I came here. And then his extremely impatient way to answer my questions about my problem could only make the patient feel it's the patient's fault to not to know the details. I just felt his attitude was so ridiculous and had to say to him:" I am not a doctor, how could I know these difference? That why I came here." The most astounding is his way to use his language: he asked if I was infected the disease by new boyfriend or meeting somebody, etc.. My husband was waiting for me outside; even though he didn't know I was married, his casual and disdainful way to make the statement just completely shocked me. Now I really regret that I didn't confront him right away; I regret that I didn't speak out at the clinic; I regret I just let this mistreatment happened and let him go. I hope everyone who will experience such mistreatment in the future does not give up the chance to fight back. Maybe it's exactly because of our tolerance and fear as patients that these people in the system can be so arrogance and abuse their powers.

lena t.

while the wait times aren't bad, two different doctors stand out as some of my worst experiences with medical staff to date. in one five minute visit I was told no less than three times that I shouldn't bother with taking iron supplements because my "real problem" is that I'm vegetarian, and I could just "solve this problem by eating red meat." he rounded off this recommendation by speaking to me like I was an idiot and giving me an entirely different prescription than what my body was used to. the second was in getting a cyst lanced, when I'd told my doctor that attempts to numb me usually take more time than the average person, which he acknowledged, then completely ignored. I screamed loud enough that my partner heard me in the waiting room. apart from this there just isn't much privacy. I was in full view of a patient this morning while a doctor spoke to him in front of my door about him having HPV, about the medication he would need to take, and about his dietary restrictions while on them. I understand needing a place in a pinch and crossroads is both accessible and fairly quick, but people come to the doctor when they already aren't feeling well and I've had far more negative experiences here than positive ones, safe to say I'll be looking for a clinic elsewhere.

Romana Kubicova

Horrible service. I paid $180 for 2 minutes examination. Never again!

Alex DiGiacomo

Diego Maclean

Rude staff. They never have enough doctors so wait times are very long.

Steve Frey

Fast service

Andrew Chan

The booking platform for this clinic is broken (medimap). When I called in, the receptionist refused to let me make an appointment by phone. Exceptionally poor service.

Jonas Ordman

This clinic is a business not a health service. Get yourself a family doctor to avoid this non-MSP covered money suck.

michael westgate

They rarely answer the phone. The reception staff doesn't listen, some of them have difficulty communicating in English. Twice the doctors have forgotten to submit the Rx they recommended to the requested pharmacy. In general it feels more like a medical factory rather than a clinic where your health is the main concern.

Sarah Jeffrey

This place is a joke. I went there last year because I was really sick and couldn't breath and they told me I had allergies and sent me home with nose spray. One week later I went back because it had gotten worse and they told me I should be okay because I don't have asthma. I ended up in the hospital with Pneumonia. Yesterday I went in with right chest pains and a bunch of other symptoms and the Dr. told me my bra was the cause and to buy some cream. I am not in excruciating pain and am waiting at the hospital where they are testing for gallstones. I think the doctors in this place get there licences out of cracker jack boxes. I am mind blown these are real doctors. I definitely do not recommend going here unless you want to be sent home with the wrong medication. WASTE OF TIME!

Dee F

This is NOT a Walk In Clinic. You FIRST MUST have a phone consult with a Dr. Who then decides, if you need to make an Appointment to see them. Waste of time if you need to see a Dr on the same day. None of the above information is posted on their Website.

Carlos Amaral

Receptionists are unorganized, unhelpful and lack of customer service. Don’t waste your time.

Camille Barbeau-Lawless

If you follow the estimated wait time available online and do your due diligence to book an appointment when possible, this is the best walk-in clinic in the city. Doctors are friendly and professional, and patient history is saved electronically in every exam room so you never worry about notes being lost. Follow ups regarding tests performed outside the clinic are fast and detailed.

Christopher Higgins

Wait times typically 90 minutes, staff at the desk not helpful and have a tone that indicates they would rather have a different station in life. Avoid if you can.

J C

Answer your phones. I understand the nature of the business. But if you have reached max capacity for the day. At least have an automated response to tell people not to bother coming down. Now I've wasted cab fare and my time hobbling down here only to be told that you are at capacity.

Danika Miles

The doctors are great i have had good experiences but reception is horrendous. try to see if your preferred doctor can be found at a different clinic.

Sandra Diaz

Jessie Ye

Great clinic space providing a variety of services from family Medicine to massage therapy. They have several associated specialist clinics nearby so it's very convenient to get referrals. The biggest down side I find is the wait time is atrocious. You will wait an hour for 10 minutes with the doctor.

Ashleigh Harris

I've never walked out on a doctor mid sentence until coming to this clinic! I can't recall her name anymore, but she had extremely poor, and unprofessional bedside manner. I was coming in for a simple birth control prescription refill I've been on for years, she refused to prescribe it to me and was trying to force me to get an IUD when I clearly said I didn't want it. I already have white coat hypertension and she exasperated me to the point of having an anxiety attack and having to walk out on her. STAY AWAY! I'll never be coming here again, or recommending friends to.

Kim Taylor

emadqanaq

Worst service ever.

C'estbon ZJ

Suck! walk in,Kidneys problem and really hurts! And the doctor just offer pain killer

Greg Slonina

I called the clinic and I had an appointment booked in the next 2 days. At my appointment there was no less than a 5 minute wait time. I had a professional and courteous doctor who gave me my treatment and out I went. This is one of the best walk-in clinics I've been to in the Greater Vancouver Area.

Ricardo Farinelli Jarina

Front service is worst. She is rude, no patient. I don’t recommended it.

Ginseng

Highly unhelpful receptionist on the phone. Just called at 8:05AM today, and the lady on the phone did not tell me what availabilities there were for appointments (my GP is at Crossroads) after I asked, she only said that they were busy. She seemed irritable, and was thoroughly unhelpful, providing only the bare minimum of information when asked. I have only been going here for the past 6 years because my family doctor is at Crossroads, but the receptionist is nearly too much to deal with. Otherwise, the clinic facilities are very new and modern and clean, and most of the doctors are quite knowledgeable. As someone who works in a client-facing role myself, I know it can sometimes be difficult but the receptionist on the phone was not helpful at all — and almost disrespectful — despite my attempts to be polite. Disappointing, yet not surprised based on my past experience with calling in to the clinic. Surely Crossroads can find more competent receptionists.

Thao Tran

Everything was fine! I love the doctor! Except the staff(Tuesday-3pm) in the reception ! I didn't expect she smiles, but at least didn’t throw my msp card on the table while I was filling out the patient form!

Rob Baron

From Michele Buchanan During my recent visit, from ON. to beautiful Vancouver, I became quite ill. I had heard that the CR walk in clinic was an excellent care facility so took a chance. Upon my arrival I was greeted warmly and was able to see a physician after a short 45 min wait. Dr King was my physician and he was a very thorough, competent, Dr., with a pleasant and approachable bedside manner. He ordered chest x-rays immediately and also prescribed the necessary antibiotics. I was called within two days(a Sunday no less!!) to confirm that, as Dr King predicted, I did have walking pneumonia . The antibiotics worked their magic and I was able to enjoy the remainder of my visit. Dr King also ordered a follow up x-ray to ensure that my lungs would safely handle my flight home to ON. I have the highest praise for this outstanding clinic. And even higher praise for Dr King!

For the reception and waiting so far: I was told there’s a $150 fine and they don’t allow you to rebook on my text if I missed my appointment, so I came in half an hour early. Yet we are half an hour PAST my appointment sitting around waiting....and I JUST was asked to fill in a form and do a sample? No respect for your time at all. The receptionist just apparently read my file to know I needed these 2 times past my appointment time ????. I’m hungry....and being waited on too. Frustrating. Appointment for 3:30, it’s 4:12...and no update

Ron Lehman

Horrifying experience. After waiting for over an hour - with an extremely sore throat (unable to swallow or talk) the doctor saw me for two minutes sent me away and told me I just had a cold. She took a swab and indicated she'd send for strep test and call with the results two days later. In the past two days my throat has gotten worse and I still don't have the test results I was promised. When we called for the results the receptionist said we'd have to come back into the office (wait for another hour) and see a doctor who would provide the results. Meanwhile they only have one doctor on staff to support a very busy clinic in a central location.

I've been here twice, once to diagnose an injury and the second for a follow up, and was generally unhappy with my service. The nurses were fine and friendly enough, the atmosphere was pretty comfortable, and I didn't have to wait much longer than most walk ins I've been to (about 30-45 minutes). The doctor I had on my follow up was fine and helpful, shame I can't remember his name because he's a good guy. The other doctor, however, was absolutely terrible. Her name is Dr Lucky and believe me, you'll be unlucky to get her. She was very dismissive of what I had to say, cut me off multiple times, and when I tried to ask a quick question she interrupted me, said "You're not listening, you're not listening. Let me know when you're ready to listen" and then decided to turn away from me to the computer until I assured her that I was listening. When I said I was an animator (basic question she asked) her tone changed quickly, as it turns out her daughter wants to be an animator. When she found out that I was unwilling to give her daughter a tour of the studio I work at though, she became again dismissive and also with a quick comment condescending towards the studio I'm at. The entire exchange from start to finish felt like she saw me not as an adult with an injury but rather a whiny child with a ticket to animation land that I refused to give her. The session ended with her rushing me out the door, cutting me off every time I tried to ask additional questions, and finally answering a phone call and waving me away after giving me a referral slip for the local x-ray clinic. She had, at this point, not answered a single one of my questions save for the few I asked about her daughter. I've submitted a complaint to her supervisor, Ivy. I'm hoping that this ego problem Dr Lucky has can be resolved, but in the meantime I likely won't be going back.

Alex Mey

No longer a walk in clinic, despite the very public branding as such

Martina Larguinho

Tried to see the doctor to have my ears flushed as pressure was building because of a head cold. i was in pain and told the doctor that. she did not want to flush my ears b/c she didn't think it would do anything. went to another clinic and told the doctor that, they laughed at what the other doctor said, and said "lets get you out of pain" and did the flush. i was able to hear again and was out of pain. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE with a doctor that doesn't care. Horrible service.

Linsea O'Shea

I was referred to Dr. Ming Lum. There is someone at the front door to ensure covid protocols however the tone taken bordered on hostile. Everyone is well aware that we are in the midst of a pandemic and do not need to be verbally accosted when seeking medical help. After my appointment, I stood in front of the reception station for 10 minutes and not one of the 5 receptionists looked up to see if I needed help. I had to make a follow-up appointment to have stitches removed and did not know which reception window to go to and none were interested in helping me anyway.

Anieta Van Seters

Had a really positive experience. Yes there was a wait time - but I was able to leave and came back with out issue. The young lady dr who saw me was interested, knowledgable and attentive. I have to say I was really impressed, especially when stacking then up against other clinics I have been to. Thanks for making me feel welcome!!

Came in at 7:50. Was 4th in line. Still waited for 50 minutes to see a doctor. FeelsBadMan. Got what I needed - doc was nice. Updated to 3 stars.

Tanja Aelbrecht

I was told waiting time was 45 min - 60 min. I ended up waiting two hours. Going to this place, your time is worth nothing. At least tell people honestly in advance, they should know by now after years in business. This is clearly a place that's all about booking as many patients as possible.

Paulino Aranguren

They told me I have to wait for 1 hour and a half. But I spent more than three hours, a pain in the ass. Doctors are good but it doesn't worth it if you thinking you Will have something more to do in your day.

Stephen Johnson

Current system for seeing a doctor is difficult. Do not show up to the clinic. You have to call, register for a phone call and then you might have an option. It's basically a half day on the patient. I'm sure there is a reason due to covid but I'm sure there are more efficient ways of doing it.

Rob Trendiak

I was called by Cross Roads last week saying I needed to come in for a checkup regarding an ICBC case. I waited about two hours although that was expected. When I finally got a room the dr. Came in and said we don't have enough info about your ICBC case to help you... They made me wait 2 hrs. just to send me home. They were so busy, they had to turn down multiple people because they were full... people who really needed help. Why didn't they tell me when I first got there that they didn't have enough info to help me today? They could have fit in more people who needed help. Instead they wasted my time and everyone elses time too. Or they could have told me to bring the info with me, but I'm still confused what info they need....I'm so upset with how Cross Roads conducted themselves.

Joan Tong

Cross Roads Medical Clinic has been our Clinic since it opened. We are very happy with their service. Yes , sometimes we have to wait a litter longer, however, the care we get it's worth the wait. Thank you so much Dr. Lee and Dr. Kwong for being so skilled at what you do. We feel so blessed to have you as our doctor.

Rodrigo Camargo

Steph Pac

The doctors are worth 5 stars. The issue with this clinic is the management. A phone message of almost 2 min before I can book with my doctor is quite annoying. The receptionist that have been there for a long time are great, the new ones should be better on the phone. Sorry it took me like 5 spelling of my last name the lady to understand. It was annoying my last name is english nothing special. The doctors look like they are running a marathon, too many bookings. Cleanliness could also be better. Withh the state of our medical services I am sure even good doctors have to put up with owners who are there to make money. After all, health, like food and housing is a business.

Roberto Kulik

We had a good experience here. My wife was having stomach pains and while the wait was long the doctor was very professional and friendly.

Jordan

Went in on a Saturday morning at 8:40, it took about two minutes to get in to see a doctor. Dr. Lee was great.

Ru Re

Does anyone get a license to open a clinic these days? They advertise they stay open till 9 PM. Which is a lie. Tonight their front staff Stephanie nonchalantly let us know that they stopped taking patients at 6pm. There is no way to contact their front desk bc the phone line is only a recording without the ability or proper instructions to press a number to reach the front staff. So you have to make the trip, pay for parking only to be told they aren't taking any patients. WHAT A JOKE. I only needed a req. form today otherwise I'd never see any doctor there because they misdiagnosed my son and he ended up at the hospital because he didn't get the antibiotics he needed in time (we were wrongly told that children don't get bacterial infections). Find an alternate. Maybe their Director needs to look at efficiency and courtesy and professionalism.

Gunnar Radeloff

Unfriendliest and barely understandable front desk person I've experienced in a long time.. hope it's not a sign of what's to come on my actual appointment

Connor Maclean

Every doctor I have seen here has been helpful and provided what they can when I'm there. It's unfortunate that getting through to them is such a lengthy, drawn out process every single time, even for something as simple as nasal spray prescription for allergies. I've had this prescription for years and this is the only place that treats it like rocket science for whatever reason.

Daniela Mafalda Condell Munoz

(Translated) I just came from this clinic and really the treatment is incredibly good! Quick attention, Dr. Julie an excellent professional very friendly! (Original) Acabo de llegar de esta clinica y realmente el trato es incriblemente bueno! Atención rápida, la doctora Julie una excelente profesional muy amable!

Mia Nguyen

This place is ridiculous... they close whenever they want even it states the hours from 8am to 9pm. I came in before 5pm after my work just to get my result which they called me the day before saying that the doctor need to see me immediately for my result. They told me its 2 hrs wait right now so they cant take any patient anymore. I literally begged them to take me because I just need to know the result and they called me in yesterday for my result which they already closed at 3:30pm. Even its 2hrs wait, it will be 7pm only, not 9pm. I do understand if they want to close early, but if it is 2hrs early, you shouldn’t post your business hour from 8am to 9pm. So people working office hour will never have chance to see their doctor??? Moreover, for people living far away, it takes long time for them to drive in, and all they receive is “we dont take patients anymore” (even though our business hour should open longer). Seriously if someone have serious health condition and got treated like this, whose fault would that be???

Sat here for 2.5 hours. Dr Tran (male) entered the room and I proceeded to tell him I flew 16 hours with an ear infection and have been suffering since with earaches, headaches and vertigo for 2 weeks. Ive tried everything to pop my ear: gargling, steaming, heat. Dr. Tran smirked throughout my narrative. He then very smugly proceeded to tell me I was fine and my ear would be fine over time. He then said both my ears were inflamed which was a surprise as only one ear has been giving me grief. I stated this was new but he ignored me. I Let him know the entire right side of my face was sore and aching and that eating and sleeping has been difficult. I've had constant headaches and earaches. He then very condescendingly told me to "try swallowing" ?! I asked for something to deal with the headaches/earaches and he asked me what I did for a living (because employment is clearly linked to pain) I let him know govt and he smirked and said "nope". I told him I can't sleep because of the earaches and headaches and he told me to try Tylenol or ibuprofen (as If I had never thought of that ?!). I told him I've been popping them like candy and he just smirked. I told him I wasn't a drug seeker and that I generally needed some relief/sleep from the pain. He again smirked and repeated "Tylenol and ibuprofen". I walked out. Guy is a total jerk. Not only did I feel unheard I left feeling like a junky hypochondriac with a brain busting headache and earache. Crossroads needs to cut this "doctor".

Sam Fairbridge

The receptionist I just talked to is extremely rude and condescending. Maybe look for another job if you hate yours so much?

Roman King

Awesome clinic. Wait times can be long but they'll tell you how long and you can come back. Their time estimates are always right. The doctors are nice and helpful. I don't know why some people are complaining. To the woman with the Qtip stuck in her ear... what a moron. Great clinic, people complaining about it are being ridiculous.

Mike Guidi

I've gone here a few times for some minor issues. Receptionists are always friendly. The wait can be upwards of an hour but that's basically the same everywhere. I've always kind of felt silly going for minor things but the doctors have never made me feel like they want to rush me out of there or acted like I'm a hypochondriac wasting their time. Would recommend this for anyone.

titi zing

Highly recommend this clinic. The doctors here very patient, they listen and explain everything clearly and carefully. I'm satisfied with this clinic

YT

Super rude receptionist, I can feel her rolled her eyes even over the phone! I just want to make a followup appointment and she questioned me WHY DO YOU COME BACK? Seriously? Don't I have the right to see the doctor? Not sure how she get this job with so many negative comments on Google.

T S

The staff excellent, intelligent, caring, cautious and informative.

fk off this clinic as well as this low cantanese speaker dr. what you said to you coworker is not a secret to me. i do understand cantanese. shame on you. fk you all off. i am so happy never see you all again. -–--------------- will come for the last visit to have everything done. enough!!! wasting time here won’t help 2 hours waiting. some staffs are nice and professional, some not. depending on who you meet, long waiting time . Lucky me today meet Dr Hsu, nice profession doctor.

rizo13a

I visited on a Friday evening after 5PM and I probably had to wait about 30 minutes, which I think is pretty good. Dr King was really good and efficient handed out 2 prescription but mentioning I only need one, if it gets better quickly. So that way I do not need to come back. Also had to go for a blood test. After they got the result they immediately contacted me, to let me know, that the results look good and how to go on with medication. No need to get back. I think this is all pretty straight forward. Only thing that could be improved. Would be great the patient does not need to ask for the name of the doctor and also the people at the reception could greet with a smile even if they are busy. But this is minor stuff and I would go back, but hope I am good for another decade.

Adam Vengroff

Over 1.5 hour wait to get a 30 second conversation with a doctor

Kyle McEwen

Best experience I have had at a walk-in clinic in a long time. I arrived at roughly 6pm and was told there would be a 2 hour wait. I was told I was welcome to wait or come back at roughly 8. I left and returned at 7 and was in to see a doctor at 7:20. The doctor was excellent. (Dr. Julie?) Prompt, friendly, knowledgeable and listened to my symptoms, performed the checks and diagnosed quickly without ever giving the feeling she was trying to get rid of me. The waiting room is open and pleasant and the reception staff were friendly and helpful. Can't ask for anything more. Note: The clinic posted a sign on the door at roughly 7pm stating that the clinic was closed because the doctors had already seen their maximum number of patients for the day. I suppose this has to do with some provincial labour regulation. So be advised that even though it technically closes at 9, you may need to arrive earlier to be seen if it is busy.

Bea Jablonska

All these negative reviews are completely unjustified. It is clearly stated when you call that due to Covid you will have first a virtual appointment (in short, a doctor will call you first). It is a walk in clinic but it is also a clinic for many people in Vancouver who don’t have family doctors or have to wait months to see their family doctors...to all the negativity, I will say only this: doctors at Cross Roads saved my life because they were paying attention to something my former family doctor completely ignored. I am glad I went there and have been going there regularly since 2014.

Warren B

Sunday: got there 20 mins early, 4th in line. Saw doc right away, simple issue he helped with, out by 10:15. I do bring a book if im not there early, and alot of people were waiting at 1015, but i was in and out and i feel great. I read the reviews, if you have anything complicated just go to the ER close by. Good service once you see a doc, friendly front staff too.

N R Meeker

I had a combination of chronic and acute problems. My experience at this clinic was excellent. The reception was friendly, I didn't need to wait too long (about 40 minutes) and the doctor was respectful and caring. He made a specific effort to be sure I had ongoing support and treatment. Much appreciated.

J

2.6 avg review. Not a chance. They are doing fantastic job. We dont have a family doctor however we feel like this is our ????

Wenjie Dong

Came twice, experienced good service compared to other clinic. The male Chinese doctor in his late 60 or 70s was helpful. Will come back in the future.

Rj Aujla

Great service from the staff and the doctor was really helpful as well

Frederick Lin

Had good experience with all doctors. Just be aware that the drop-in clinic is no longer open on Sunday. Did not find out about this change until my visit.

Robyn

Wait is always very long but I'm someone who dedicates a whole day to a walk in. I have been here three times and each time the doctor was very kind, even had good humour, and helped me with my illness. Reception can be hot and cold (literally this super sweet one was seated next to a nearly emotionless one) but it's never hurt my feelings or disrupted my service. This is my go to clinic when I need a diagnosis.

Marina Shaipova

I had a virtual appointment with Dr. Yung today, and it was such a great experience. I had all my questions answered with care and patience. Thank you so much!

Ty ler

It's a roll of the dice as to whether or not you will even be seen by someone. And if you do, the service is questionable at best.

Please read! I went to the Cross Roads walk in clinic on Friday night a few hours before closing because I had an unusual pain in my leg. I saw Dr Michael Lee and he completely brushed me off and seemed more focused on getting off shift on time; even though there was pain, slight swelling, a temp difference and visible pinkness; which he said was due to me touching the area. It turns out those pink areas where actually the infection speading across and down my leg. Twenty four hours later, I had to admit myself to the emergency due to the infection entering into my blood stream. I was administered antibiotics via IV. I will never return to the Cross Roads Walk-in Clinic and I hope that Dr Michael Lee performs in a more professional manner.

Rida Wang is the reason I was hesitant on dealing with a Naturopath to begin with due to them having a reputation for being quacks in the medical field. She definitely proved me right… Her shear lack of knowledge was nothing shy of alarming. I did not accomplish anything regarding the reason I was there to deal with her, as she negated every aspect as to why (fully convinced it was a lack of knowledge on her part in light of some of the other comments she made on this return visit). I advise anybody to seek out other options before paying a hefty price coming to this clinic.

PRO TIP! Do not call, use MediMaps to see how long wait times are. They are usually more accurate and shorter even. They tell people not to come down at certain times because they close at 5 and if someone calls at 3:30--you don't know what time they will ACTUALLY arrive, and they don't want to risk the very real problem of flakey Vancouver people who say they will come in 15 actually arrive an hour later and be mad that "You said it's a 50 minute wait" even though the receptionist meant it's a 50 min wait if you were there in person to put your name down at the time you are calling. So it's easier to just be like don't come today, come earlier tomorrow and be right, than say "I dunno it depends" and risk being yelled at by a stranger over the phone, or "yeah we totally have a spot" and risk being yelled at by a stranger in person if you're wrong. Also, I'm sorry to people who want receptionists to be friendly, especially if they have anxiety. But it's emotionally toiling for the employees too. They aren't a server at a restaurant who will put on an act for your tip.

vivy wang

Super bad experience. The doctor spent less than 5 minutes with the patient, and hurried out of the room without giving any medication or advice on how to take care

G Y

Wait times are horrible. Expected wait times of 1.5 hours and didn't see the doc until 2.25 hours later.

Cassandra Kent

I have never left a review anywhere. I had to write something about this walk-in. I had a positive experience with the receptionist and the wait time was nonexistent at 5pm on a Friday when most other walkins were closed. I was in quickly to see a doctor, and that aspect was great. The time I spent with the doctor was a really negative experience. I was experiencing a lot of anxiety and a lot of pain. The doctor was thorough with ordering a few tests for me, but when I asked him for an additional aspect to my blood test, he huffed, got incredibly aggressive and told me I was bullying him. I could not believe how unprofessional he was acting. He barely spoke to me and neglected to fill out a pain prescription for me and only did because I had to remind him while he was walking me out the door. It was such a terrible addition to the awful pain and anxiety I was already experiencing. A day later, and I'm still shocked at how he acted and how I was treated.

Avoid the place. Horrible service. Some of the doctors are very messed up. I was unfortunate enough to encounter one particular doctor, Dr Michael Lee on a few occasions and he was very unprofessional, rude, arrogant , condescending and judgemental. He lacks patience and he thinks he is higher than the patient and you are not allowed to disagree with him, or he will complain and write you down and refuse to see you, even though the fact is that nobody wants to see him in the first place, least of all me. If you google his name there is a plethora of negative reviews and complaints about him. He should not be allowed to practice as he treats patients inhumanely and doesn't care about them, which is the basic responsibility of a doctor.

The wait time was very short (20 minutes) and the doctor Kali Kwong was sooo sweet!

Ying Lu

I only stay with the clinic because my family doctor and one of the ladies at the front desk have been very helpful and fantastic. The one star rating gives to the reception, unprofessional, and failed on different occasions as some of them clearly don't know what they are doing and their attitude towards patience are sometimes rude and aggressive and they don't care people's problem or time. We all understand how business works, I am doing client-facing jobs on daily basis too, I don't expect people to smile and nice to me all the time, but at least be reasonable and respectful of other people's time and issue.

Have not heard back in over two weeks about testing and an ultrasound. Feel unwelcome, will no longer be going here after 3 years. Some great doctors but unfortunately unfriendly staff.

Very busy clinic, but I've only had good experiences once I get inside! Maybe my standards were low to begin with... most of my walk in clinic experiences have been at care place medical in Delta and overall it's the worst there. Awful receptionists, I got sent home with a broken foot on time.. ugh. Anyway, bless you Crossroads. Haven't let me down!

Darren Snesar

Great service both times I’ve been there. Receptionists were prompt, and the doctors were spot on with diagnosis and treatment.

This clinic has long wait times, but that is not unusual for a centrally located walk-in clinic. I work M-F 9-5 and can't always see my family doctor. Went to the clinic at 6pm on Tuesday and they were at capacity, which was understandable. Went back the next morning at 8am and was able to have my appointment finished before I started work. The doctor (Dr. Morris?) was very professional, took his time and listened to all concerns and addressed all concerns after. Yes, wait times can be long and the receptionists can be swamped. But the negative reviews need to understand that this is clinic clearly sees a high volume of patients. If your medical concern isn't able to wait, you should be visiting an ER. If it can wait, and the clinic is at capacity, try again the following day. It's just common sense. Conclusion is the clinic and doctors were great, would recommend.

Zita Rutkuna is dangerous. Avoid this clinic so you do not have the misfortune of encountering her. I urge you to read all the reviews of this doctor, start with rate MD and see the pattern of abuse - it's horrific, sadistic and vile.

H T

I can’t believe how unfriendly this place is. Would it hurt the front desk to acknowledge or say hi to you? Instead you have us stand there patiently until you feel like getting around to it. And when you do acknowledge you treat us like we’re bothering you. Every time I visit this place I leave feeling horrible. The worst.

I was absolutely taken back by the greed of this medical clinic. When I called to make an appointment they informed me that I would have to make three separate appointments because they only get paid by the government per appointment/per client they see (essentially there taking advantage of the medical system we have in Canada and triple dipping). I needed paperwork to be sent off so I can get bloodwork, antibodies tested & my blood type revealed. All they had todo was send a referral for each (that can be easily done in one sitting). However, they told me I needed to come in three separate times on different days so that they could request more payment ($$$) from the government. Or pay $275.00 out of pocket for a 30min appointment and I could "tell the doctor all my worries" (the receptionists words exactly). This is simply greed at its finest!! I sincerely hope all of the doctors that think this is okay realize you're stealing from taxpayers! AND taking advantage of the healthcare system. I WILL NOT SUPPORT THIS OR YOUR BUSINESS!!!

Dr Kwong had a lovely demeanor and was very attentive. She addressed two concerns of mine quickly but at the same time I didn't feel like she was rushing me. I arrived at the clinic at 7:20 and was 2nd in line. The only negative thing about my experience was that the MOA that checked me in asked me to fill out a form beside another patient while she asked the patient the reason of her visit. Being in healthcare myself I found this a violation of her privacy. Once I was asked to go to a room the MOA came in and asked me to comeout of the room. I followed her and in front of the line of people she gave me a cup and asked me to provide a urine sample and then leave it in a basket right beside the line of people...I felt that was a violation of my privacy and that she could have easily brought the cup to my room and explained to give sample. Poor professionalism on her part. If I felt slightly embarrassed I can only imagine how a patient that isn't in the health care field may feel. Overall good experience though :)

Andrew Langridge

Incompetent Front Desk staff! Very unhelpful! She actually said no appointments (not even for later the week) could be made because they only serve clients with appointments! What the hell? how do you make appointments with the doctors in the clinic then? Please let this employee go! This receptionist needs training (or just lay her off). It's the mid-age staff on Sep 30th at around 11:30am!

Went in to get a prescription I’ve had before, doctor ended up giving me something different and weaker than what I had before even though I asked for the exact same thing I had before. Went back later the same day to get this fixed. Arrived at 8:23pm when the closing time is 9pm. I realize there was a low chance of seeing a doctor because it’s usually very busy. But the door was already locked at 8:23 with no sign of any patients waiting and the receptionist was cleaning. I knocked on the window to ask if I could get my prescription corrected and I was told that the doctors were all gone for the day. I said the closing time is 9pm not 8pm and she proceeded to tell me that their phone recording says they close early if the doctors are fully booked for the day. If they were fully booked then I’d expect to see patients waiting at 8:23pm but the place was completely empty and the doctors were all gone. So not only did the doctor not check my file properly and give me the prescription I asked for and had on file, the receptionist also lied to my face that they close early when fully booked even though I could clearly see there were no patients waiting and the doctors were gone for the day way earlier than their posted closing time. I came here for years because it was close to my work but now I think I’m going to find a new clinic.

I had a great experience at Cross Roads Walk In Clinic. I got there at 7:45am on a Wednesday and was behind 3 other people. A line quickly formed behind me before they opened at 8am. The staff was very prompt with opening the doors and once opened, immediately put patient's name in a queue. I thought the front desk staff were very kind and attentive. The wait time and check up all finish before 9am. My doctor (Unfortunately, I forgot her name) was the most kindest and welcoming clinic doctor I've ever met. I did not sense even the slightest impatience even though she had a long list of patients to see. I understand the wait time is definitely an issue with most centrally located walk in clinic but after this experience, I would definitely wait the extra hour at this clinic. I don't often write reviews but I felt all the negative reviews were misleading and overall my experience was extremely pleasant.

Jen Yung

Web site says open til 9pm. I arrive at 8pm to see a closed sign. A note on the door stating something like,"sorry, the maximum quota for the day has been met. The nearest ER is VGH...". How disappointing to rush after work with a stiff sore kneck, throat, jaw pain, plugged hearing and a head ache. Didnt think of calling when no appointment needed is advertised.

sarah cook

If possible find somewhere else to be seen. It started off badly as the receptionist was rude and unnecessarily unhelpful. I waited for about 45 minutes which is acceptable given it is a walk in. However, I was very disappointed by the medical review I received. A lady walked in. I can only assume she was the doctor, although she didn't take the time to introduce herself. I had a relatively straight forward issue to discuss but her medical advice was disappointing. I will have to go elsewhere. To make matters worse, there was an error with the prescription she gave me. I called the clinic again to clarify. I was told by the receptionist the original doctor 'might' have time to call me back. She hasn't.

Terrence Rascher

Terrible staff, blew me off at the door until I walked back in later. Appears that they forgot my appointment. Complete waste of time.

I have been to this clinic a number of times and have always been happy with the service provided but last week I was in a predicament that left me so grateful to have this clinic nearby. I decided to try on my wedding ring at week 3 postpartum, needless to say, my ring does not fit - fingers are still swollen. After trying everything possible at home for about 5 hours I went to the emergency room at VGH, but the wait was going to be a few hours. So I headed out and ended up at Crossroads, only one person ahead of me and I was in and out quite quickly considering what needed to be done. First of all the doctor who first saw me tried a few things, unfortunately the ring still did not budge, so the cavalry (aka Dr. Lee) was called in. Local anesthetic, lube and teamwork finally got it off. Thank goodness! THANK YOU DR. LEE!!

I spent 3.5 hours waiting to see a Doctor for sever back pain. When I finally got in they came and talked to me for a couple minutes and then excused them selves in the middle of my appointment for roughly "20 mins" then came back and told me to "stretch it out" something I've already been doing! No, put a heat pack or take some Tylenol... no advice what so ever!! I've had back pain for two weeks, I'm pretty sure I've done it all!! Would have been nice to have more answers or send me home with small amount of pain reliever to help my back relax, instead I'm sitting here tense and in pain! I feel like someone should check to make sure there licensed to practice!! DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE!!! ????

Wait time can be long. But, due to their accessiblity and their amazing hours. It is worth the wait. One of the few walk-in clinics open late

I had a phone consult with Dr Yung and found it extremely rushed and his behaviour condescending, bored and impatient. I understand this clinic is busy but I went away feeling brushed off. I wouldn't recommend this clinic or doctor.

Dr. King and all girls at the receptions are super friendly! The best walk in clinic I have ever been to! I took my mom who does not speak English at all to cross road three times in the March. I am very grateful that Dr. King has been taking care of my mom and her exams. It is always hard to find a good clinic/family doctor in Vancouver! Thank you Cross Road and everyone who works at the Clinic!

Worst expeierience ever with Quoc Tran who i dont even consider to be a doctor. His lack of care and rude attitude is a big surprise considering my previous experience at this clinic with Dr yong which was extreanly pleasant with his caring attitude. Quoc ignored my comments to my injury and assessment from my specialist he did not even assess me before writing his notes based on his thoughts and experience. I dont think I'll ever visit this clinic again if he works there.

Bili Panic

I've had to go here three times in the past year, for me wait times were short doctors were nice and professional. This is my walk in clinic of choice.

Kyle Wallis

Having tried to visit several clinics in Vancouver the evening before and not getting in anywhere, I went to Cross Roads first thing in the morning and waited for about an hour which wasn't bad. The front desk staff were very efficient. I saw Dr. Sood, who was very professional and spent a decent amount of time with me. His treatment of my condition was successful.

Ian Cameron

Wouldn't hurt the front desk to be nice. "What" is not a proper greeting.

Andreina Nunez

Excellent health care service. took my child and the waiting time was just 30 min. the doctor very kind and understanding. She explained everything.

Paola Heinz

5 min wait times, professional service. Only thing I would recommend is implementing reminders for appointments either by email or by text. Great overall!!

Juliana Vandergugten

Have been to this clinic several times as my doctor is far from where I now live. Have been seen most times by Dr Lee and once by Dr Lucky. They both seemed OK although a bit rushed. In July had mastitis from breast feeding, and saw Dr Lee. He was friendly enough but gave me the wrong dose of antibiotics. The breast feeding clinic doctor was appalled and upset that it was not strong enough and had to prescribe more. Recommend on the leaflet was 4 doses per day, Dr Lee gave me 3.

I normally enjoy my visits here. Pediatrics are amazing. However, the family practice walk in doctor cut serious corners on two occasions, that led to some serious health issues for my family. Dr. Kanitha Orng insisted we had the flu- I told her it was more than the flu but she refused to do a thorough examination. She insisted that medicine isn’t preventative or proactive. I care to disagree. My children’s peds at the same clinic ARE. They are thorough and consider all reasonable possibilities for Illness. She didn’t check our oxygen saturation levels, mine were fall below normal. It took 3 doctors visits for her to recognize something was the issue and as for my children I simply booked them into see peds who offered much better care and support than she had.

Zahra NasseriM

Just had a virtual appointment for my swollen eye, they asked me to send a picture of my eye before the appointment and i got to speak with the Dr. on the phone only an hour after I called the clinic! Great service, everything went quite smoothly.

Girlie Fajtl

The doctor seemed to be genuinely caring and understanding. He makes sure the patient understands the instruction. He also listens actively. The reason why I gave this clinic two stars is because the receptionist did not take full responsibility of mistake that happened today. My daughter and I were in the washroom when I heard one receptionist called my daughter's name twice. I honestly heard that they pronuonce my daughter's almost correctly, but someone else heard it otherwise and thought it was her name. So when my daughter and I came out of the washroom, I went to talk to the receptionists, but they did not double check, they just said that my daughter will be next. The person who thought that she heard her name came out and tried to correct the mistake. But no one apologize to me (it's not the other client's mistake) and receptionists don't even made an eye contact. NO ONE apologize after waiting for more than an hour.

Theryl Grundy

The staff was rude and aggressive. I needed a simple medical form filled out for my driver's test and as my GP was not available on the day I had off work to take care of testing and forms I thought a walk in clinic could help me. Not this one. They told me that it would cost 200 plus dollars and were mean about it. I guess my time wasn't worth anything and now I will have to take extra time off work. This is a terrible walk in clinic. Get ready to get your wallet out and be ready to experience rude staff....

Tsz Ho Wong

Woulda put 0 star if I could. Receptionist was exceptionally rude. Shame on your practice as health care 'professionals'.

Hayley Mary Hall

This is not a walk in clinic. They only take people who have been to the clinic before or patients of the drs. Not a walk in clinic. With the shortage of family drs and the limitations of COVID I'm sure this puts pressure on resources of other walk in clinics in the area. This clinic makes accessing medical care even more difficult.

I had an appointment from a referral from my doctor. When checking in the for the appointment the receptionist didn’t know what I was there for (asked about something completely unrelated to my appointment). I came in on time, and waited an hour to be seen after this. No updates from reception or nurses on appointment timing, even when I asked. “The doctor is running behind today” - yeah, I can tell, thank you. Don’t bother with this clinic if you have other things to do than just wait forever to (maybe) be seen.

All things considered this is the best walk in clinic I've been to, and I've been to at least five in Canada. Wait times are acceptable and there's shopping/restaurants nearby to pass the time. Reception staff are good. Multidisciplinary setting is convenient. And the central location can't be beat. The only way to improve would be a SMS based texting service to notify patients to come back, like they have at Yolks right across the street.

Jessica

This review is for the pediatrician we saw. All of our walk in experiences have been decent. The pediatrician we saw was an older woman who appeared to me to have issues with her vision. I can't recall her name. We brought our 2 month old in for a weight gain issue after 811 told us to go to a walk in and I chose this one because I knew they had a pediatrician. We were referred in house to the pediatrician they have on site, and we went the next day. We had an appointment and still waited an hour and a half because the doctor had an emergency. That's fine. We get in, the nurse weighs her, and the number she says is what I expect, same as the day before (which was in her chart). The doctor comes in, reads a totally different number (nearly a kilo more) back to me and proceeds to tell me I'm over reacting after (incorrectly) filling out a growth chart. I told her it was impossible and that my baby grew that much overnight and that I heard the nurse say a different number, but she refuse to believe that she read it wrong. Luckily, we had her weighed again with our public health nurse and we began seeing another pediatrician who actually helped us fix the issue. We came in for a specific problem and it wss totally messed up. Will avoid seeing the pediatrician here in the future.

** My review is based on pre-COVID times about 2.5 years ago. Update: I had gotten a test done from Cross Roads during that visit - the test result that came back was one that should always warrant a call or appointment booking. They never did - huge no no. Reducing this to one star. Original Post: This place gets very busy. The day I went in I luckily beat the rush and was seen about 10 or so minutes after I walked in (this I was told by reception that there was currently “no wait”). The doctor, a mid 30’s man, I saw had pretty odd bed side manner - I was being talked down to like I was child but he took the time to ask me about my medical/health history. He gave me a prescription I’d never heard of before for a reoccurring medical condition. He was pretty curt and short with me when I asked clarifying questions. Overall, I’d probably not go there again if I didn’t have to ( my normal walk in is in North burnaby - Kensington Medical - where they spend a lot of time on the wait list infrastructure which means I don’t spend time waiting in line and I also don’t lose my spot).

Went in today Tuesday Nov 29 2016, it was my first time they were nice, polite and took care of me quick, went in around 8:30 was about half hour wait to see the doc, got everything i needed taken care of in a visit just over an hour. Also they have an estimated wait time counter on their website so perhaps check that out before going in. Overall i had a good experience and am happy i overlooked the negative reviews.

Doctors have been great would recommend highly but the phone lines are always down and the website booking doesn't work either. They need to update the system, it's very frustrating.

If I can give 0 point, I am sure to give them, wheh them heard that you are a foreigner, they just want to charge you $210 No matter just want to check the body temperature

Alessandro Ramos

I got an appointment for a cold or flu and had to wait 30 minutes for a 5 minute assessment that just included the basic checklist a doctor would make. Then proscribed me some pills and lead me on my way. Didn't give me any advice or nothing and proceeded to charge me $40 bucks for a doctor's note. Besides the prescription pills I could've gotten the same diagnosis myself.

Daniel Blake

Don't waste your time. The doctors and staff are incompetent. Even if you make an appointment with a specialist expect to wait over an hour. If you have more than one reason to see a doctor then they expect you to come back - for each reason on a separate day. Total waste of already limited medical resources - I highly suggest looking elsewhere.

rodolfo oceguera

Don’t even bother going. If you’re going because you’re having health problems that you want to solve this is not gonna be your best choice. I went there spend an hour sitting, doctor came(dr norman tong) , no interest what so ever, didn’t even ask five questions and he sent me to the drugstore for a medicine that didn’t even needed prescription.

Gavin Dunn

Dr. Lee took my phone appointment and was extremely personable and efficient - High spirited and professional

Josh Davis

Wouldn't recommend them at all. I had a foot injury which they sent me off to xray for. When I came back to hear the outcome I saw a different DR who would only read the report to me. I asked her a few questions and her response was "I can only tell you whats on the report". I left knowing nothing about the injury. Her only response was to go get orthotics even though she couldnt tell me if it was even actually a fracture! When I tried to book orthtotics all teh companies asked if the fracture had healed properly which I dint know as the DR wouldnt tell me....am now going to rebook with a proper clinic....Thanks for wasting my time Crossroads.

Excellent Walk-in Clinic & Outstanding Dr.Kwong Dr. Kwong treated me a few times, Dr.Kwong is an excellent doctor that cares about your health. She takes time to find out what's wrong and carefully assesses and treats your conditions. Great book of professional for referrals. Cross Roads Clinic feels like your at a private Clinic, very clean with modern furniture and equipment. Sometimes long waits but worth it. By-far the best walk-in clinic in the City.
