Unfortunately Dr. Hume more concerned with nickel and diming patients than about their care. Would not recommend.

I've been going to this practice since I was an kid (12) I am now 24, I have always gotten the best care and emergency appointments when needed or available, doctor Janet ip has helped me when no other doctor would for my serious skin condition. She is the only doctor I can trust to truly understand and help me.

Just realized that today is the 10 year that I have been a patient of Dr. Ip. She is honestly one of the best Dr's I've known in all my life Also a great person who has changed my life personally. If there was 10 stars I would definitely give her that. I highly recommend seeing her You will not find anyone better.

As a busy mom of 2 young boys, I rarely review places because I'm always running around and it slips my mind ... I am writing today because like other reviews I've written, I felt the need to stop and take a minute to mention what an exceptional experience I've had at Cambie Village Family Practice. Dr. Ip and her team are very professional and made me feel very comfortable despite the very uncomfortable issue I had. I saw a handful of other doctors that weren't able to fully help me or maybe didn't have the patience, but regardless, the issue is now resolved!!! I couldn't be any happier, thus I'm posting this review. Thank you so so so much!!

Very helpful and accommodating. Highly recommended!

Honestly disappointed. Charged for no show even though they had no alternative bookings available. I understand that they have a policy, And was more than willing to pay. but wnen I called to reschedule and be told that payment for the missed appointment needs to be made PRIOR to booking?! How incredibly untrusting and disloyal. When I asked why I couldn’t pay the penalty at my next appointment because I didn’t have my cc the receptionists response was “I’m just trying to do my job”. Literally. Seriously? I was calm and simply asking to pay during my appointment. What kind of an immediate reply is that? Doing your job (as should be trained by her superiors) is to find the patients and clients solutions that will ensure their continued commitment to the clinic. Not at all a level of care I believe I should be able to expect from health care services. And to charge 80$ for a missed appointment. Honestly. After 4 appointments there why are told they not have better policy to ensure they don’t have disgruntled clientele.

Dr. Lorne is hands down the best gp I've had, she truly does listen and care, which makes a big difference in terms of dealing with ongoing health matters. I can't say enough about her or her staff.

My experience at this practice has brought hope back to my life. There's absolutely no words I can use to describe how grateful I am to be a patient here..

Clinic is fair with appointments and the doctors are all really nice. The front staff can be a bit stand offish at times, but they always seem like they are working and focused on what they are doing.

Doctor Janet Ip is an excellent doctor and we (me and my husband) have been attending her clinic during the past 5 years. Besides being a great professional she is also kind and concerned with the patient’s feelings. Once she called me after 6 pm on a Friday (before a long holiday weekend) to give me the good news that she just got the results of my biopsy from the lab and they were negative for cancer. I don’t need to comment that I had a great long weekend after her phone call and the most of the doctors wouldn’t be working after hours to spread good news. I love Dr. Ip! The staff at the clinic is excellent. Everyone is polite and professional.

They've always taken excellent care of me and my family. Very friendly and helpful staff and highly patient, caring, professional, and knowledgeable Doctors.

Dr. Janet Ip is very professional and extremely thorough. She obviously takes great pride in the immediate and long term results of her patients. I would not hesitate to recommend her practice to family and friends.

The receptionists are rude especially the Asian one short brunette one.

Excellent service here! I don't expect a GP to call me at home and I'd rather they attend to patients who have made appointments and have come to the clinic. The staff is very busy, but as accommodating as possible. Try Copeland Medical if you want concierge service. FYI, They try to keep a few spots open for emergencies, but the hospital is always the best place for that to facilitate tests, if required.

The receptionists of this clinic is terribly rude and unprofessional. No matter how urgent your situation is, you WON'T get an appointment. My whole family goes to this Family Physician. There were a few times my kids got pneumonia and I had bronchitis, the receptionist told me the earliest appointment was 3 weeks later, LOL...they simply don't care. When you have any serious inquiries and try to have the family doctor to return the call, good luck... the receptionist will simply say: " the doctor will not call you"! What is the point of having a family physician if you get treat better at a walk-in clinic? Even though the doctors at this clinic are nice but I think it is their responsibility to train their staff to respect their patients.

One of many bad experiences: I stopped into pick up a requisition. Was informed that they threw it away. Apparently they throw your prescriptions and requisitions away after one month. Funny, they never told me that when I spoke to them over the phone. They could at least call patients after two weeks or something, just to let them know they have something to pick up, and it will be held for two more weeks. Or, they could keep documents digitally, and print them when patients arrive to pick them up. Something helpful and useful. Don’t be like the clerk who held up her stack of papers, and said “we can’t keep everyone’s papers here if they don’t want to pick them up within a month”. It’s not that I or we don’t want to pick it up, maybe we CAN’T. Give us a warning before you throw our stuff in the bin.

Doctor Lorne is the best Doctor I have ever had, very nice and caring, always willing to help. Staff is helpful and pleasant to deal with. Their online booking tool is a bit slow and and you can only book one appointment, if you require another appointment you must call the office to make the new appointment. Location is convenient and there always seems to be parking on the street within a block of the office. I don't think they are accepting new patients but if and when they do, you would be lucky to get her for your doctor.

Dr. Janet Ip has been our family doctor for years and we always value her good insight and care. I - for myself and my children - have seen other doctors at the practice over the years and been similarly impressed and pleased. Yes, they are busy, but they do all they can to accommodate, which we appreciate.

Called in to book an appointment, receptionist pretty rude and in hurry. Disconnected my phone midway without providing proper information

Appreciate this clinic a lot. Been going here for many years. All the Drs and receptionists have been very helpful and respectful. Keep up the excellent work!

In the past, this clinic has been great. However, things have been changing and the level of service has definitely gone down. Wait time for the clinic has been very challenging, as I haven't had many instances where the doctors have been on time - which makes it tricky for people with busy schedules. It's an average of 6 weeks to see one doctor. Even when I'm able to see the doctor, it often feels rushed as I can tell that the doctor is rushing to see the next patient as they are behind. There is also inconsistency with the information that was given by their doctors; different information was given from one doctor to another, which makes it a very confusing and unclear patient experience. When I arrive and ask how long the wait is, the receptionists would usually say that it's not very long and then it turns out to be the opposite. It's been frustrating where I will receive inconsistent information from the doctors and then I have to encourage the receptionists to speak to the doctors for correct information - a lot of work for patients! The clinic also don't have a wait list for their appointments, so you need to call every morning to see if there are cancellations. There is a not a lot of follow through, as I appreciate the clinic is very busy. When a doctor says that he/she will call you back, I would expect that this will happen. I had to follow up several times before I was able to speak to the doctor, as I know that the clinic is very busy (as we all are!). I would ask them to consider how this feels from the patient's perspective. I sincerely wish the clinic the best with everything and hope that they improve their quality of patient care.

As a senior, it isn't easy to find a family doctor in Vancouver so I feel very lucky to have fallen under the care of Dr. Laura Hume at Cambie Village Family Practice. Dr. Hume is attentive, professional, and knowledgeable. Rarely when she has not been available I have seen one of the other doctors and they have all been excellent. The receptionists are kind and efficient. The clinic space is clean and beautiful. Online appointment bookings are convenient and email responses are really quick. Plus there's usually free parking out front. I feel well taken care of every time I go there.

Julia Martin

Very rude front end staff. I was treaded very badly. I won't be returning.

Karin Schwagly

I've been going here for the past 8 years and have always received excellent care.

I honestly cannot recommend this Practice enough. My family of 5 (3 young children) have been going to see Dr Kara Jansen for 4 years and have nothing but fantastic experiences each and every appointment. We always get into see our lovely Doctor at our scheduled time, the staff is really efficient in managing appointment times. Dr. Jansen is very conscientious and thorough during the appointment. She always seems well prepared and considerate especially of our kids. The entire MOA team are fantastic, always friendly and approachable. Our kids LOVE those ladies. I simply don't understand the negative reviews, nothing but good things to say

Un-empathetic, novice and condescending doctors.

I have been a patient of Cambie Village Family Practice since it opened in 2009. The staff are welcoming, friendly and accommodating - especially whenever I need to get seen urgently. Dr. Ip has helped me over the years with my tendinitis, asthma, and more recently eczema that was not responding to any over the counter creams. She prescribed a medication that cleared it within days after I had suffered for weeks! (I only wish I had seen her sooner.) I highly recommend Dr. Ip and her clinic - thank you for the excellent service.
