I work close to here and often go if I’m feeling under the weather . Every doctor I have ever had there has been excellent, so I’m never even concerned with who I see . Always consistent, you always feel like doctors actually care , very friendly and they always try their best to get me in .

Reading these reviews are disconcerting, but please remember it is a pandemic and everyone, everywhere, are stressed to the limit. I personally, was quite impressed with Aquarius Medical. Thank you so much for seeing and treating me today. Reception was kind and efficient. Wait time was normal, the energy in the office was respectful and caring. Best of al, Dr, Nicole Redding was impressive! She is a true professional, kind, caring, efficient and reassuring. I am so very happy I found this clinic. Thank you a million, Ladies.

I am shocked that this place has so many bad reviews. This is the best walk-in clinic I have ever been to, Dr Emma and Dr Nicole are absolutely amazing. Came in two weeks ago to see Dr Emma and she took my issue so seriously and seemed genuinely concerned about me and how I was feeling. Both Dr Emma and Dr Nicole gave me referrals and I got appointments within hours. I also never had problems with the front desk, they’ve always been friendly and were always able to accommodate me last minute when I had an emergency or was concerned. Thank you Dr Nicole and Dr Emma.

Please make sure that you send patient’s prescriptions to pharmacies on time. Your team must follow up with the Pharmacy if they received your patient’s prescription right after they send it. And when the patient confirms with you why the pharmacy didn’t receive it, please do not make excuses that the “system” is messed up. Follow up with the pharmacy right away and do urgent order since your team did not take responsibility and was not organized enough to send the prescription to the pharmacy.

Fantastic staff - friendly & efficient. I have been a patient at the clinic for the past month and I have been delighted with the level of service that I have received. Dr. Germaine was my doctor on both visits. I found her to be very professional and caring, she gave me time I needed to explain my concerns and talked me through the procedures available. 100% recommend this clinic.

Krystal Doherty

The worst clinic I have ever called. There are other clinics around that area, don't waste you time here.

Shagee

Receptionists there are lovely. Doctors don’t really care about you or why you are in there. They give you a lousy excuse to why you are feeling what you are feeling so they can see as many patients and get out of there. There’s a specific male Doctor that is the absolute worst. Would waste your time.

Deniz Bilgin

You can make an appointment unlike some other walk-in clinics. The doctors are friendly and exhibit good bedside manners (except Dr Chase who is inappropriately touchy and condescending). The ladies working at the front desk are often impatient. Expect to wait up to an hour after your scheduled appointment time comes. They will not email your receipt if you make a payment over the phone. Only snail mail, fax, or you have to go to the clinic in person. Archaic way to serve clients.

Tina Lee

The reception staff here are a joke. All the other reviews here about the rude staff are true. Try calling them and you will see how unprofessional they are.

Nicole Doucette

Went to this clinic to get a referral for a specialist. The doctor told me she would refer me, and to wait for a phone call. Waited one month, called the clinic back. It was written in my file that I had asked for a referral but the doctor …

A friend recommended me this clinic and I’m very happy I came. Staff is nice and kind and make you feel like they care about you. I have been in a different clinics an staff were grumpy and careless. This clinic makes me feel comfortable. Although, the waiting time could be long, so it’s better not being in a hurry if you come even if you have an appointment.

To be honest people online need to get over themselves. The clinic works exceptionally hard to see whoever they can and everyone is super pleasant and professional. I have had to chase up a few things for sure but that's due to misunderstandings. The women who work here do their level best to give you a high quality of care in a clean space. The doctors like dr Aaron Gropper are superior to any family doctor I've had . Highly recommend.

Dr Chase is an amazing doctor and human being. He didn't give up until he found the right prescription for me. He listened to every single thing I had to say and was always willing to help. I'm surprised to see a bad review here about a doctor that did so much for me.

Jessica Hong

Dr. Chase was fantastic. Good sense of humor and he addressed my problems efficiently and with care. This location has fabulous hours as well. I called in the morning and got an appointment set up in the late evening. Only issue I had was the initial conversation to set up the appointment. The receptionist came off condescending.

Nahanni Ridley

I've been going to this clinic for a couple years. While I generally like the doctors I have dealt with I just had a phone conversation with a receptionist that really put me off. She cut me off mid-sentence, which was my first sentence. I expressed that was a bit rude and she told me she was busy. She continued to cut me off throughout the entire, albeit short, conversation. While I rescheduled my appointment during the call I think I'll be calling back, cancelling, and won't be going back. The receptionist is the first interaction a person has with a clinic. Is that what you want it to be?

Emma

Called to book a Pap Smear and the receptionist was very helpful. Told me everything I would need before making the appointment as I'm new in Canada I wasn't sure. Very helpful

Change your hours on Google and the signage on your door!!! You are not open on Sundays. You are medical facility take it seriously.

They will charge you with any reason, they could lie to you that you wouldn’t be charged and at the end make it sound like your fault not paying the expense when it’s their own problem not telling you at first they will charge you. The doctor is fine but the management is A JOKE. Don’t go to this place.

Booked an appointment on Wednesday afternoon to fill a prescription refill, and was told by the GP it would be sent out on the same day. Several days after phoning the pharmacy, I talked to the receptionist here about what happened. Apparently the doctor has printed out the refill, but hadn’t signed it. Only to be told that there was nothing that they can do and he wasn’t in until “maybe” Tuesday next week. The reason that I’m writing this now is because it has happened quite a few times where doctors seem to forget to send pharmacy information. It’s unfortunate that this keeps happening but it’s not fair for patients.

I got an IUD insertion here, process was quick and I only had to go in the clinic once. Dr. Zahynacz was great in answering questions and she was very knowledgeable. The front desk ladies weren't bad either, I didn't have to wait! Would definitely recommend to girlfriends wanting an IUD.

Jamie Kuse

I walked in for a visit and was seen at the exact time quoted by reception. I especially appreciate the time Dr. Hlynsky took to talk to me about my concerns. The level of attention felt far more like a visit to a family doctor than it did the typical "in and out" experience that is to be expected of a walk in clinic. It was a pleasant surprise and she struck me as a very competent doctor.

Linda Fach

I have no idea why people rate this clinic so negative - it should be obvious that if you have an emergency, you go to an emergency service, call 911 but you don't go to a walk-in clinic. People need to get over that. I came here twice already, one time I saw Dr. Kharrat for joint issues with my hand. He took his time, examinated my hand and asked the important questions. I was then referred to a specialist. The second time I came I went to see Dr. Zahynacz for the Women's health clinic. She took her time even if she was already late on the schedule, listened and answered important questions I had. The receptionists are always very helpful and friendly, let it be at the desk or on the phone. This clinic even offers walk-in service on Saturday and the wait is reasonable. Also when a doctor takes time for a patient and is hence maybe a bit late for the appointment - I find this speaks for the doctor as he is not rushing through the patients but takes everyone seriously. I can only recommend this place and will keep going there.

This review is mainly for Dr. Carlie Germain but also for the whole office - I can't seem to go there once and get adequate service. Reception: Hands down, worst in the industry! incredibly rude and they could careless about their job, or you. The only reason I can imagine they still hold a position is; the office must be family owned. Service: The reception staff is a clear indication of the service you can expect from rest of Clinic staff - if doctors accept and hire poorly mannered receptionist, it says a lot about the doctors themselves. On every single occasion when they were suppose to forward important referrals docs or ICBC docs, they charged me a pretty penny for it BUT, on every single occasion, they forgot to send in the paper work or notify me when results are in. YOU SHOULD TAKE ALL MEASURES TO ATTEMPT ANOTHER CLINIC BEFORE CONSIDER THIS PLACE! ESPECIALLY IF YOU WANT TO BE PROPERLY DIAGNOSED AND SEEN IN A TIMELY MANNER (IF YOUR APPOINTMENT IS AT 7, DONT EXPECT TO BE SEEN TILL 8).

Although the front desk staff can be unprofessional, I have found it better than other clinics. We have made same day appointments as well as walked in and done the wait when our son is sick. Our family doctor is there (she's lovely) and when she's not in we see other doctors and most have been lovely as well. A professional practice with the exception (thus the 1 star missing) of 1 doctor who is knowledgeable but condescending.

Krystal Boulet

Front staff is rude and incompetent. This clinic deserves zero stars.

Ana Savic

If it weren't for Dr.Tong, I would definitely never be returning here. He is AMAZING! The receptionists are extremely rude, have a lot of attitude, they have giving me incorrect appointment dates twice already (they say one day but its actually another?) Whenever I try to call and make an appointment they just answer and put me on hold without even asking and leave me on for more than 10 minutes and don't return back. I have seen many poor reviews about the receptionists, I think it is time to for this clinic to take action. And an excuse to say it is busy is not an excuse. My best friend and her sister use to work there few years ago, and yes, they were always busy, but always made sure to not only have a smile on their faces for the patients but also have the utmost respect for everyone. Please fix this as this is a major PROBLEM. When patients go to the doctor, it is for a reason, that may already make them feel uncomfortable or sad, the last thing they need is the receptionist to treat them poorly and make rude comments (while eye rolling and giving attitude). Aquarius Medical Clinic - fix this!

Lara Ivkovic

I was greeted at the appointment with the most lovely receptionist. I waited a couple minutes and was well informed, treated wonderfully and am in little to no pain within the hour. Absolutely recommend this place. Fantastic staff and a very comfortable space to be in. Thank you Aquarius clinic for the most easy experience that I was worrying about for weeks!! Much love to you all.

Rebecca McLellan

I've had reasonable experiences with doctors over the phone but I had a terrible experience at my in-person appointment with Dr. Lipkowitz. Right off the bat, she didn't even introduce herself to me - I had to look up the clinic's doctors on the website to even find out who treated me. When it came time to do my physical exam, rather than asking me to lower the paper gown I was wearing so she could examine me, she aggressively ripped the gown open, exposing my entire chest, without warning or letting me know she was going to do so. When she was finished the exam she told me I could sit up, and I had to sit for the remainder of our appointment clutching the ripped gown closed to attempt to cover myself up. This is NOT trauma informed care, and is NOT ok treatment, especially for a sensitive examination, such as a breast exam. I felt violated and degraded by this experience. At the end of the appointment, she left the room so I could change and came back in, without knocking, while I was still getting dressed. There was also another staff member sitting right outside the door to the room who got a full view of me changing. I will not be returning to Aquarius Medical for any further care after this experience.

Tempo Sabatier

Every time a friend tells me about the terrible experiences they've had at other clinics, I recommend Aquarius. This is the go-to place for a few of us now.

I've come here many times and have always had a great experience. The Dr's seem to actually care about me and want to explain everything to me. There's another clinic down the street that is the exact opposite. I don't feel rushed out the door and they don't just prescribe me something in the first minute and walk away like other clinics. They're almost always quite busy (probably because everyone prefers to come here)...

Dr. Chase literally told me I was too pretty to be depressed and then let me pick my own medication out of a book. I'm not even that good looking.

Shalyn Gahlok5634@hotmail.com

This review is strictly for Dr. Chase. I had never had chest problems before, ever, even when I had to work 85+ hours a week for barely minimum pay. Then one day, I started getting light-headed and had chest pains. I had seen Dr. Chong at the clinic within a day of initial problems and he was very kind and friendly. He told me I had high blood pressure, which surprised me, and to keep an eye on it. But other wise, no problem. I thought nothing of it and for 10 days, other symptoms showed up while my blood pressure remained high. I tried to remedy that by drinking more water and eating bananas for potassium. Then one day, I felt jabs in my heart region. The next day, with a friend of mine, I went in for a walk in appointment and met with Dr. Chase. He was single handedly the most condescending doctor I had ever met. With my friend beside me to witness it, he proceeded to dismiss all of my symptoms, scoff at anything I had to say, and rolled his eyes when I said I wrote all my symptoms down just to make sure I didn't forget anything. He said to me "you having clogged arteries or having heart complications is like saying an 8 year old is pregnant." I would not have come to the doctor if I wasn't concerned for my health. I am not a hypochondriac. I only go to the doctor if I have genuine concern for my health. If my symptoms really were "common," as he put it, and I'm just overreacting, then fine. I would prefer knowing there is no risk to my safety and health than be told my suspicions are true. But there was absolutely no reason he had to tell me that by mocking me and treating me with such a condescending attitude.

Walk in clinic wasn’t open for walk-ins this Sunday, waited at the door when it was supposed to open as there was no sign anywhere that they wouldn’t be open, nothing posted on the website either. Unprofessional to make clients go there for nothing and not even post it on the door as the opening hours on the door stated it would be open Sunday from 10am to 4pm.

I have been going to this clinic for over 16 years. I first came there because I lived right above it and then I just stayed because no other family doctor I was referred to by friends, was accepting new patients. Dr. Jando has been great over the years when I was lucky enough to get her in the office but the rest of the doctors have been big hits or misses. This recent visit I had might very well be my last appointment in the office ever. I had come in to receive information about a test I had done and was unfortunate enough to have my appointment be with Dr. Carlie Germain. Her bedside manner was atrocious. She was extremely flippant, patronizing and argumentative. I left feeling horrible and it wasn’t even because of my results. She would ask me questions and then pretty much told me my answers were wrong. She would also say “well, that’s not in your file” or “you weren’t given those prescriptions here” when I have only gone to this clinic for 16 years and have always got my prescriptions filled by doctors there. When going to the front desk to enquire about why specialists I have seen and prescriptions I’d been given were not in my file, the receptionists did a little digging and found everything that the Dr. had said wasn’t there. I felt so uneasy putting my trust and faith into a clinic where the Dr. seemed to be too uninterested to dig for the answers and information in my file and annoyed that I asked extra questions about my health and test results. She wouldn’t take the time to look into my file to find the information that was important and all that she needed to know. I could keep writing more about this awful experience, but it was very upsetting. If you still choose to go here, please do what you can to not have an appointment with Dr. Germain, there are some other kind and competent doctor’s. Thank goodness also for the problem solving/sleuthing front desk ladies.

I have my maternity doctor at Aquarius who is there only one day a week. During my 30th week receptionist called and had to reschedule my bi-weekly appointment 2 times. I adjusted my work schedule and moved thing around twice. Receptionist called me again regarding my next 2 weeks touch point and said that doctor has to leave early and I had to adjust my appointment again. I got disappointed as this brings a lot of inconvenience. I expressed my concern and reception said : “you can go to another doctor”. Wow.. really? She did not sound apologetic and her customer service skills were at level zero!!! So disappointed with this kind of treatment especially that late in my pregnancy

No need to say other than: I should have read others’ Google reviews before calling to deal with a terribly, rude receptionist to attempt to book a physical wellness appointment. Tried to call back but the waiting music was on blast with my phone volume already extremely low, I didn’t bother waiting after two dial tones to just get another earful of, “You have too much background noise,” when I already work in an extremely quiet office to have any noise.

Valerie Cayer

The staff and doctors are amazing always super helpful, knowledgeable and will go above and beyond to accommodate us when they can. They are very professional and treat people with care! Thank you (especially the front desk staff! It’s really nice to feel genuinely helped, especially when you are vulnerable and sick) ????

Abdallah Mahran

Don’t waste your time. You will have to wait for an hour or so for your scheduled appointment. Not so friendly reception, they do everything they can to show you that they could not care less about you or your time.

Kia Kaspian

I was hesitant to visit this clinic because of all the consistantly bad reviews, however, I thought my experience was more than adequate. I can't say I was blown away, but I was certainly pleasantly surprised. …

If you book an appointment in advance, everything will go smoothly. If you walk-in prepare to wait a few hours. Front desk staff have definitely gotten better from before!! there was a time where the rudeness was almost a deterrent but the doctors are incredible.

Natasha K

Do not waste your time with this clinic. My experience with Dr. Chan was horrible. Had a telemedical appointment with him and not only was he rude, he failed to bother filling out my requisition form for LifeLabs. I showed up for blood work …

I had called at 10:36am to book an appointment and got in same day and was told doc will call at about 11am for phone Appt. Then comes 11:30am, I call and ask if doc is gonna call for my Appt and then they continue to say my appointment was never booked. THE RECEPTIONIST NEVER ACTUALLY BOOKED ME. LIKE WHAT. WHY SAY IT IF YOU DONT. then they book me at 12. NEVER got an apology for the mistake, NOTHING. But I did get a new Appt for 12pm same day. Would have done 1 star if I wasn't able to get in. This clinic DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO PROPERLY BOOK A PATIENT. DO BETTER PLEASE. maybe train your workers or find new ones. Thanks.

Nathan Brophy

I see a lot of complaints about the receptionists but I didn't get that vibe at all. I had to show up first thing in the morning and the lady who took my information was friendly and helpful. She took me to see my Doctor, Aileen, without having to wait at all. She diagnosed the problem, gave me my prescription, and sent me off with a friendly "have a good day". Based on this first interaction this is the best clinic I've been to in Vancouver so far. I'll definitely be going back. I understand that most of us write our reviews when we have had a bad experience, but it's important to write when we have had good ones as well.

Katie Foote

Couldn't be more impressive with my experience at Aquarius. Receptionists were great and got an appointment the next day. Isaw two other doctors to get an IUD in, neither could do it. But here, the doctor was extremely professional, perceptive and did it easily. Wish I came here first!

Marco Dehghani

I received one of the poorest customer service in this day and age, the evening person called to book me an appointment to see a doctor to review the results of my ultrasound, she was aggravated, aggressive, and inconsistent with the a professional lady who had called me earlier in the day. The morning lady read the report for me on behalf of the doctors as she was directed to do so, she had told me that she would arrange for my follow up ultrasound as the first one was not complete. Any way, she was not friendly and hostille. I asked her to cancel my appointment with the doc and I no longer will require their services, she said ok and hang up.

Ava J

Yes, you may have to wait for medical care, like at any medical centre, but the clinic, staff, nurses and doctors are very knowledgeable and kind.

Nancy Frappier

Despite many of the other reviews I have had no problems coming to this clinic. It's a walk-in and I often see different doctors every time, but I don't mind because of the convenience of a walk-in clinic with great hours. All of the …

The doctors have generally been good. However the receptionists are extremely hit or miss. Some are quite pleasant and helpful, but some (as others have described) come off as rude or condescending. Advice to management: Hire people who enjoy doing their work.

Every time a friend tells me about the terrible experiences they've had at other clinics, I recommend Aquarius. This is the go-to place for a few of us now.

Aya Mae Fernandez

Worst receptionist ever whether on the phone or not. Accommodating doctors so far but the receptionist will just be rude to you and won’t let you even finish your sentence. I do have a hard time explaining it and they don’t have the patience to listen to me. So much for hospitality and being in frontline.

F BC

Doctors are nice but the receptionists always seem annoyed when you call or arrive for an appointment. Immature uni students who clearly want to leave and don’t want to talk to you.

Tanya Roberts

My husband's blood test results were off, low sodium, and NONE of the doctors at this clinic took it seriously. Long story short: He ended up in the hospital due to a serious condition that, if left untreated, could have been fatal. I'm amazed that none of the doctors could spot the signs. They just kept trying to push pills (often the incorrect pill for the problem, like an anti-depressant!). Instead of getting him treatment right away, we wasted two months with this clinic. Absolutely horrendous ability to diagnose a medical condition that's right in front of their eyes. They should all be forced to retake their med school courses. To top it all off, the receptionist accidentally email my husband a 15-year-old's medical information and anti-depressant prescription!!! TERRIBLE. Don't waste your time here.

Richard Azura

During the pandemic, I made an appointment in this clinic (of course not because of covid) it was easy, gentle and fast, as well as the clinical examination and follow-up, highly recommended.

Jane

Booked my boyfriend in for a couple of appointments here and honestly had great experiences both in person and over the phone. The reception team was helpful in finding quick appointments and Dr. Martins was a good listener and very helpful in person, as well as during follow up appointments.

Arun Swamy

I visited the clinic due to recurring severe headaches.I Had a bad experience with the front desk person as she was not proper with her response. I have been asked to sit in a very small room where I talked to the doctor for total of 5 minutes. The doctor did not even try to diagnose the problem. After a few minutes he tapped in different areas in my head and told me it is due to the stress and asked me to stretch and get out and breathe 5-10 minutes every hour. I understand there were other patients waiting. But just rushing a patient quickly so the doctor can attend more patients and make more money seemed ridiculous. I strongly recommend not to go to this clinic! I have been charged 175$ for the 5 minute visit and 20$ for the letter of explanation for the visit!

Emilie BOFFO

I just went over there today. Calling them in the morning, got an appointment for the afternoon same day. Really reactive, kind staff at the reception. Adorable doctor who even talked to me in my mother tongue (French). And absolutely on time. I will return if I need care for sure!

Sharoney Cutie

I had an appointment at 1:10pm and I was by my phone I received no calls from the doctor (I do get blocked calls) so I called the office the receptionist told me that the doctor said it went straight to voicemail. I explained that I received no calls so they told me the doctor would call back. I called the office back at 2:00 letting the receptionist know I received no calls they told me to wait until the doctor was free. I called the office again at 2:40 to see if there were any updates they said no just wait. I received a call at 3 from a receptionist telling me I can rebook on sat which is two days from now or I can continue to wait for this doctor. I agreed to wait. I called back at 5:30 still not hearing from the doctor and the receptionist told me that the doctor will not be calling me and that the next appointment i can make is Sunday. I have been waiting hours for the doctor to call with no decency from the doctors office to tell me that the doctor will not be calling me and that I should know doctor doesn’t usually call back. Where was this information hours ago. Worst doctors office ever I can see why people give it such negative reviews.

Jill Purse

Great experience! It was easy to make an appointment, and the doctors take time to understand your needs, review options and explain potential side effects in detail. More thorough than other medical clinics I've been to downtown.

Payam Vaziri

Just go somewhere else, terrible experience with staff here. it's so disappointing that healthcare clinics that are suppose to care for patients hire such rude staff like the woman we encountered today at the front desk. And the worst part was that they were packed even with such terrible reviews online. Nothing will change as long as these clinics have such high demand and not much choice for patients. Obviously we won't be going back here but I don't think they care ????????‍♂️

I had early symptoms of inflammation/infection inside my nose including pain, stiffness, swelling, and redness on my nose skin. I explained it to Dr. Chase but he did not pay attention to any of my symptoms except what he sees. He recommended to try a nasal spray and come back after a month. I had gone to see a doctor because my symptoms had gotten worse every morning. I expected better treatments than a nasal spray. Waiting for a month with pain and swelling is not ideal to anyone. It was me who’s in pain so.. I begged for antibiotics telling him my past experience with the same issue 3 years back. He responded that I must have pus running out of my nose if I had any sort of infection right now. He basically ignored all my EARLY symptoms and prescribed me something that would not relieve my pain/bacterial infection. Probably he wanted me to wait for a month so that he could see pus running out of my nose to prove that I, in fact, have an infection? Thankfully he prescribed antibiotics but I thought he was very irresponsible at the same time. If he thinks that I clearly don't have an infection why would he prescribe antibiotics? Do doctors prescribe whatever patients want? Anyways, the symptoms started going away 2 days after taking antibiotics. This proved that I actually had something inside my nose that could be cured by antibiotics although I don’t know what the actual disease was, nor does my doctor. This unbearable doctor's visit costed me $175 because the receptionist said I am not covered by MSP. She told me that I can get a reimbursement from MSP later so I went ahead and saw a doctor. At that time I was in pain so I didn't pay so much attention, but I am actually fully covered by MSP when I spoke with a BC Healthcare rep this morning. Basically the receptionists were not able to locate my MSP coverage in their system - their fault. I revisited the clinic this afternoon requesting a refund but got rejected, because I signed and agreed their term so called “Uninsured by MSP” basically stating they will not reimburse any difference of the price MSP pays out. This paper doesn’t apply to me as I AM INSURED BY MSP but got charged for the amount that I’m not responsible for in the first place. Dealing with their manager was also frustrating. Their clinic policy seems carrying more weight than the law. By law, physician enrolled and opted-out may charge a patient directly, but MAY NOT CHARGE more than the MSP rate ($30) to so that the patient can be fully reimbursed by MSP. She repeatedly said “We don’t do refund,” “We are business,” “Other clinics charge around the same,” “You signed the form,” and etc. In other words, “We are going against the law and we don’t care because we already got your money.” Oddly I felt a little bad for her because that’s what she has been doing for living - exploiting ill patients money. If the doctor was helpful at least I would’ve been much happier paying $175 for their unethical business. Summary: I wouldn't recommend this clinic to even my worst enemy.

Had a call scheduled for 10:15am. No one called, after waiting for 45minutes I called asking if I was going to get a call and very rudely I was told that the doctor was very behind with all the scheduled calls. They couldn't give an ETA and didn't even care to let me know in advance (a simple message or quick call would have been enough). Incompetent and superficial customer service.

Stephanie H

In case anyone’s trying to get in on a Sunday. There is NOTHING indicating that they aren’t open. Voice mail has no info. The front door has no info aside from showing they are “open”. VERY frustrating.

Im not sure if this place is closed permanently or what but it doesn’t say so on the website, it says it’s open until 4pm on sundays snd I came here at 3pm and it seems closed and there was no sign up about why it was closed early

Horrible office staff. I called to book an in person appointment, and when I showed up, was told quite rudely that it was for a telephone appointment. No sorry, no acknowledgement. No empathy. I felt like I was a thorn in her side. Doctor was over an hour late. This was known when I walked in and the receptionist didn't even tell me. There are so many negative reviews about the office staff. Why aren't they doing anything about this unprofessionalism?

Lok Chan

The most condescending and rude office staff / receptionists ever. They say things like "I've said this twice already," even though I say nice things like "how are you, please, and thank you in almost every sentence." I dealt with two different people and both had the same attitude (makes sense if the environment is such). There's a fine balance between being not nice and straight up rude/arrogant/condescending. I normally post 5 star reviews and having moved in to the neighbourhood recently I really wanted to like this place.

Dr. Kumar was not helpful. Was told "to google it", "just take some ibuprofen or whatever", and given incorrect information on my medical issue. Save your time and go somewhere else.

This place needs to fire their receptionist, unbelievable, I will never visit this clinic ever again

Kim Nguyen

My friend recommended this clinic to me and I have been visiting the place for around 10 times. At first (about 3 years ago) everything was good, the receptionist wasn't very friendly but it wasn't my priority so it was alright, the doctor seemed to understand my condition well. However, recently, for the last 3 visits, I had the appointments booked and I always come at least 10 mins early. But I had to wait at least 30 mins, last time, 2 people who arrived after me got in first. I wasn't happy with that. The last doctor who was assigned to me wasn't good at all, he seemed so unsure what he's doing and couldn't say anything about my condition. I was extremely disappointed wasting all my time traveling so far to go there. I just switched to another clinic which is way better.

Doctors in this clinic are excellent and all stuffs are very efficient in time. I had my maternity check this clinic as my family doctor keep forgetting my record. During the pregnancy they were all very supportive and gave me information I needed as well as doctors were willing to spend time to hear your issues if any.

Glen R

I have visited this clinic several times. Each time the staff have warm and been courteous and professional. All of the doctors have been great too, particularly Dr Lawton, Dr Martins and Dr Chase. Highly recommended.

Would give minus 5 stars if i could - My visit was hands down THE worst experience i've had at a Dr's office. I booked an appointment 2.5 weeks ahead to ensure they could fit me in for a test. I call the day before to confirm the appointment and was informed that everything was fine. I even left work early to arrive 15 minutes early in case i needed to fill paperwork etc. Doctor walked into exam room, didn't introduce herself and asked why was i there. When i told her about the test she looked confused and asked me to clarify. When i did she said she wasn't sure if they even did testing for that. Explained that i had called to book weeks prior AND had contacted the lab that does the analysis to confirm that yes they actually did. She then said she didn't know how to do the test (never something you want to hear from a so called medical professional)... She then had to call the lab to ask how to collect a sample (didn't bother to leave the room to do this and called from her cell). She got the info and then told me she wasn't sure they had the kit to do the test. So far this is 20 minutes into my appointment and i'm starting to wonder what the heck is going on. She leaves the room, i can hear her talking to the receptionist. Comes back a few minutes later and says she has to call the clinic managers to clarify. Five minutes on she comes in again, informs me that she spoke to the clinic manager (Natalie) and that they didn't have the kit in stock to do the test. That apparently 'they did have 1 but someone used it at the start of the week'. It was at this point (45 minutes and counting) i started to lose my patience and asked her what they were going to do. She offered no apologies, actually shrugged at me and said they couldn't do it. I asked her not to shrug at me as it was dismissive and that i was shocked by how badly organised the place was. She said a receptionist had been fired a few weeks prior and maybe that was why they didn't have enough kits in stock. WTF? It's not the patients responsibility to ensure the clinic has the equipment in place to perform their job. I was told they could order a kit but it could take a while to come in and i'd have to come in for another appointment again. I declined and left. She never apologised and her attitude was one of 'I really don't give a f***'. I've never left a medical appointment feeling as angry and disappointed at the treatment (or lack thereof) i recieved as i did here. Natalie and whomever runs this place need to reassess how things are run and actually take some responsibility when you are clearly the ones making mistakes. Folks do yourselves a favour and read the reviews on Yelp (especially the filtered ones). My experience echoes that of others before. I only wished i'd googled reviews for this place before i wasted a Friday afternoon. AVOID. AVOID. AVOID.

Receptionist extremely rude and impolite. Doctors are super, but they really need to work on better receptionists.

JJ A

The doctors are all very polite, professional, and knowledgeable. I have been here maybe 4 or 5 times over a period of 3 years and have never had a bad experience with the physicians. That's where it ends. The staff are incredibly rude and useless.

Proshat Fard

Lida is very helpful and kind staff at Aquarius clinic! I really appreciate her honesty and help.

RJ K

The receptionist was one of the rudest individuals I've had the displeasure of interacting with. When I called to make an appointment (new to Vancouver), she was rude, short and seemed annoyed that I didn't have a pharmacy to list as my "home pharmacy". As I explained that I literally moved to the city a week ago, she was dismissive. She's Australian and claimed her name was Holly (pretty sure that's a fake name) and wouldn't allow me to ask any questions about the Dr.'s or how appointments work. Don't know why she works there if she hates people so much and can't seem to stand answering basic questions.

The absolute worst clinic in the city. They ALWAYS overbook so even with an appointment you will regularly have to wait 30-60 minutes. Been going here for years and have seen a few really good doctors but today I got a Dr. who didn't even look at my file and it was like pulling teeth to get any information out of him. He would just stare at me for like 10-15 seconds then mumble a vague two word answer. Had to wait an hour for that bs. I'll be having my records sent elsewhere ASAP. Don't waste your time with this clinic.

I would like to say thanks to all Aquarius medical clinic team. Front desk girls are very helpful and friendly. Special thanks to Dr. Kristin Zahynacz for removing my birth control implant from my arm . She was very professional, kind, patient and helpful . I wish her success all through her career. ❤️

don't bother going here. if something is wrong and they can figuring out right away then it's not their problem.

I called to book a dermatologist appointment and could not get through to anyone on the phone. When I finally got to speak to someone, I was told that they were only offering telephone appointments for a DERMATOLOGY appointment or I'd have to wait weeks to see someone in person. There are very few medical concerns that can be properly addressed and examined over the phone, and certainly not a dermatology appointment which is much better done in person both to the patient and physician's benefit. Steer clear of this clinic if you can. It's extremely mismanaged and it's clear they don't care about their patients' wellbeing. You will wait weeks for an appointment regardless of the severity of your concern or be forced to take telephone appointments which are quite frankly a waste of time and a horrible way to assess a patient's condition.

I wish there is an option for zero stars. My girlfriend (who is pregnant) and I have been coming to this clinic for a while now. …

Marta

I chose this clinic because of its location when I found out I was pregnant. I was a bit hesitant because of the mediocre reviews but today I feel I need to give my four star review. Dr Lana took care of me and my first baby from confirming my pregnancy up until today, where my daughter is a beautiful and healthy four month old. Like all pregnant women I would imagine , we want a doctor who will listen, provide advice, and know her stuff, this is Dr Lana for the most part. I had a very easy pregnancy and fast labour and delivery, so she suited me fine and of course that's thanks to her as well, but I can't comment on what kind of doctor she would be if you were to have complications, etc. If you're looking to vent and ask tons of questions, I don't recommend her as much, but if you want cold hard facts, want an answer to a REAL problem, want a doctor who will carefully monitor the position of your baby and request ultrasounds, one who will make sure you get all your necessary tests done and will raise hell with labs if she doesn't get the results quickly, she's absolutely perfect for the job. At the end of the day, you're really seeing a doctor not a counsellor or therapist. Yes, doctors need to be more caring and available but that's very hard to come by these days I think . I was induced and was happy she would be at my labour and would deliver my baby, as I felt I was in good hands, she's very experienced and knowledgeable and was a great coach throughout the labour! That's also when her sensitivity and caring nature really shone through and in my opinion that's when you really need and want the sympathy and empathy! I had a four hour labour and there are disadvantages to that, but thanks to Dr. Lana's impeccable sewing skills, today I feel great, and the same as before my pregnancy. What more could a pregnant woman ask for? A lot of clincs are oversubscribed and with that comes days when you'll have appointments where you're waiting a long time (Dr. Lana would apologize on those days even if the wait wasn't very long) or the receptionists don't know if they're coming or going, when your appointments are short and sweet and you don't have time to ask questions, and when your doctor has a long hard day and luckily you're the last patient (she said my baby was underweight and offered/maybe even promoted, formula, a week after the birth, instead of guiding me through on how to breastfeed.) We're all human and crap happens. I had about 4 days like that in the last year and yes they were frustrating but completely forgivable in the grand scheme of things. She has my highest recommendation.

Horrible clinic. Dr.Riley needs to get a proper schedule and the front desk girls really need an attitude check. They cancel appointments, then reschedule back to original time as if people don't have lives. Called again to reschedule an appointment because Dr Riley works only one day per week and wants to leave early that day. My wife is 32 weeks pregnant, took time off work for the appointment and because she can't reschedule to leave work early, the front desk girl said to look for another doctor. These people should be shut down and sued for malpractice. Unacceptable behaviour telling people so close to child birth to just go find another doctor. These appointments are made weeks in advance. Honour your appointments and don't be so rude when its your fault.

Went in for a consultation regarding a cyst on my shoulder, despite having zero expectations the GP convinced me that I would be able to have it removed under my MSP. Great news. Scheduled an appointment, Took the afternoon off work and showed up, only for the GP to tell me that if she was to remove the cyst and try and cover it under my MSP that it would be fraudulent. Completely backtracked on her original statement and mislead me, Had me take unnecessary time off work and a complete and utter waste of time. Extremely disappointing, Had she not Went out of her way to convince me that this was something that would be covered I wouldn’t have booked an appointment to come in in the first place.

Don’t normally post reviews but this place was so bad I had to. Called a week ago to book an appointment next Tuesday. The day of the appointment, no notification or email reminder. Called to double check my phone appointment time at 740. Was told doctor would be busy and he will call me a little later. That’s fine, comes 835 not a call back. Called receptionist desk and they said doctor could not reach me due to my phone blocking numbers. I do not block any numbers on my phone, much less a random number I have never seen before. So if I hadn’t called back to confirm they would’ve just kept me waiting until they closed. Called back and the receptionist really insisted it was my fault that the doctor can not reach me due to my phone blocking his number. I was calling about a dry nose and skin problems a week ago. My nose is a little bloody now and it is irritating when I walk in the area of my skin rash. Thankfully they really care and told me to continue waiting up until 9pm, when they close and I can not call them anymore. I have wasted almost a solid week of time. If I could give this place a zero I would be happy to do so.

Dr. David Unger is excellent - my partner and I have been seeing him there for about 4 years. He is caring, compassionate, and trustworthy. The front desk staff has always been competent. I gave it 4 stars because one of the other doctors (not Dr. Unger) I saw (over-)prescribed antibiotics a situation where they were unnecessary. Overuse of antibiotics is an area of concern for the health industry in general, and I was surprised to see it happen given the public awareness surrounding the issue.

Raffaella Ambrosino

In my opinion is the worst service ever. The receptionists are always rude and not helpful. I was going there just for one doctor, who helped me, but when he retired I didn't have any reason to stay there. Some doctors don't really care and they messed up with my thyroid exams. I hope for the management take seriously the review and training better their team.

Claire Morris

a the doctors I have had here are very kind and knowledgeable But if you have a phone appointment they will likely be 15 to 45 minutes late. The receptionist on the phone when you call to make an appointment are quite rude, cold and seem like they are trying to get off the phone as quick as possible. The actual doctor service is good but the experience and customer service is poor.

Like everyone else here I like my Doctor but HATE, HATE all the front desk workers. My 10 months old baby got sick and my husband made an appointment to see a doctor, however he was getting worse so we decided to just walk in since when he called they gave him an option to walk in. When we got there my husband ask to see a doctor and the receptionist said they were fully booked, he said he was told that he could walk in earlier and we decided to do it since our baby was getting worse. She was rude and didn't want to help at all until another receptionist got involved and showed her on screen that they could fit us in in about an hour. We waited for an hour and my baby was crying non stop, the front desk people were looking at us very uncomfortable never said anything about when we were going to see a doctor. After one hour and half my husband asked them again and they said we were next. After seeing the doctor she told us that we had to go to the ER with our baby because they noticed he was having trouble breathing. This was one of the worse days of my life, and the staff of the Aquarius made me feel helpless and uncomfortable for being there, instead of trying to help and have some compassion of a suffering baby. Is not like they aren't use to see babies there, they see a million of babies every day there. I feel hostage of this place because my baby's family doctor is great and only works there. They need some triage for walk-ins!

I've been with Aquarius for almost 20 years and they have amazing Doctors. I recently used their Skype service to renew my ongoing prescription and found the Doctor to be professional, caring and thorough even over Skype. It saved time, no waiting and you can schedule an appointment in advance. For these types of medical visits, it works perfectly. I highly recommend them!

I’ve been going there for so many years as I don’t have a family doctor but I’m not sure what happened to staff one of the ladies I spoke to today was so rude. First of all, I spoke with a receptionist on Sunday she said she’s working from home and had no full access to book me with maternity doctor but she said she was able to book me with regular doctor first. I waited for one hour and nobody called me so I called the clinic and whoever answered the call said she doesn’t know what happened but I don’t have an appointment today and of course no apologies. This is just a simple courtesy, she should apologize first. I’m so shocked how horrible their service is now, it wasn’t like this before. She wasn’t trying to help me to book an appointment and kept saying there’s no doctors after 5:30. She sounded soooo annoyed and told me how can she book me when there’s no doctors. Then change your business hours !! I was almost begging her to book me as I’m pregnant and need to see a doctor sooner. There’s no professionalism whatsoever and I’m sooo disappointed at this clinic, I wonder if the owner knows how their staffs treat patients like this. I’ll have to start looking for other clinic soon. So disappointed! I recommended so many friends and I didn’t believe when they complained about receptionists but now I know.

I just tried to get an appointment for a medical issue. I have had no family doctor for over 4 years. Called 6 other clinics. None answered the phone. You couldn't even leave a message. Some had voicemail that directed you to their website which only had marginal info for existing patients. Very third world. Actually. Aquarius answered the phone on the first ring by Lucy. Pleasant, super accommodating. She was simply divine. Got an appointment right away. Thank you Lucy. So much. For actually caring and ending my miserable experience in trying to find health care in Oh Canada. Update: March 01 2022. More wow. Got a phone call from doctor (Jason ?) right away to get me a blood test. He spent 20 minutes with me. Then I got a phone call from the clinic less than 24 hours after my blood test to go over the results. Not rushed. Answered all my question. SOOOO impressed. Thank you.Outstanding service.

Inconsiderate and barely even want to help. Receptionist made it quite clear they dont want to put in any effort towards my health. Good to know to go somewhere else.

The telemedicine intake had me waiting for hours before connecting me with a "skin doctor". When I asked if that meant a dermatologist, as I had a toothache and need a general consult to obtain pain relief and/or antibiotics, the intake worker clarified "she deals with skin infections but can consult with you." You can imagine my frustration when the tele-appointment rolls around and she advises me that she would need to see me, but that she was busy until next week and I would have to contact reception to make a appointment. The consulting doctor couldn't even be bothered to transfer my call, or even book me in her own schedule as that was all done "by the front desk". When I pointed out that it was reception that booked me in for a teleconference, and I asked her if she was going to bill this call as a consult against my health plan, she said that this was part of her intake process. Still no word exactly on what she is a doctor of, but I am taking my ailment elsewhere.

Their website literally says they take walk-ins, then I call and the person is super rude on the phone and cutting me off telling me that they don't do walk-ins due to the pandemic. I understand that but update your information online and don't be rude to people who are just trying to seek medical help in a city where it seems impossible to get a walk-in appointment.

Irina Nogina

I’ve booked a set of 6 months vaccines for my baby 2 months in advance to make sure we can get those on time (they usually fully booked 2-3 weeks ahead). On the day of appointment we came to the clinic and been told that the Doctor who was supposed to do the vaccines is no longer with the clinic and they called me once but couldn’t reach. That’s it.. No message, email or a repeat phone call was made, nor we’ve been rescheduled with another doctor. The next available appointment was in 2.5 weeks. It was a time sensitive appointment and they just don’t care about it. They know there are so many people that need to see doctors that they’ll always have clients and will get paid no matter what. But that’s how the whole system works here. No one cares about professionalism and peoples’ needs.

Probably the best clinic I've been to in Canada. Every time I've gone with a problem, it's been looked at thoroughly. Other clinics will try and get me out the door in a minute, whereas doctors here will take their time to explain issues and treatments, and look into the problems. Just now I had one of the doctors realize that her referral to another place would take over half a year, so she started looking for somewhere else to refer me to. My only gripe is that they have a one problem per visit rule, but that's probably due to how clinics in canada are forced to operate due to needing to make money.

Ashley Jordan

Honestly, I keep coming back because there is 1 doctor I really like here. That’s the only reason. …

Anywhere Dr Avinashi works gets 5 stars from me! Great reception team too ????

Sophia Wang

The family doctor I saw here is Melissa and she is really nice, patient and professional. The issue is with one of the receptionist, the general manager as told. Some pregnancy tests are time sensitive that must be conducted within a specific period of tests. I was upset because I identified that I was not told to perform a certain test last time I saw the maternity doctor. The test should be done soon. When I talked with the manager over the phone, I told her about my issue and I told her I always go to this clinic to see my family doctor. She told me “you don’t have a family doctor here”. I said “ I mean I always walk in to see the same doctor” (they accept walk in) The manager mentioned again “ but you do not have your family doctor here”. I replied “I was not accurate. But why you kept emphasizing on this point? I hope you treat walk in patients equally” Then, the manager said “yes, we treat patients equally”. Manager, please, don’t just say it! Also think it! We walk in patients are also your patients! You are also responsible for us! It’s good that she is the general manager, not one of the doctors. The doctors I met in this clinic are all very good, especially Melissa, the doctor I always meet with. Please keep your words in mind! Treat patients equally!!! ( no need to emphasis “you don’t have family doctor here”. So what? ......)

Maya Ramchandani

This clinic is absolute garbage. I called in to because their website says they are accepting new patients and do walk-ins, of which they do NONE because "COVID", we have been in COVID for almost 2 years, update your website and fire your receptionist. The atrocious reception first hangs up on me when I am speaking to her, I call back and she is so belligerent and shows a complete lack of care and disregard for patients and the public. People reading this, STAY AWAY. Value your health, do not seek care from these people. Red flags everywhere.
