I was referred to Dr. Afolabi after I severed the end of my finger in a workplace accident. As a direct result of Dr. Afolabi's lack of care I was diagnosed with PTSD, depression and anxiety. I had completely severed the end off my finger and was to see a Dr. within 3 days of the accident. Her office didn't book me in until 7 days after my accident. When I got there, my hand had no feeling and very little movement in any of the fingers. Dr. Afolabi had me dress the wound all by myself, using only one hand. I sat there and cried and the extreme pain while she watched. I asked if I was to put any polysporin on the wound, she said nothing was needed except a band-aid. I was due to get my stitches out 7 days later, her office called and re-scheduled the removal another 7 days out. When I went in to have the stitches removed Dr. Afolabi first removed my husband from the room then took one look at my finger and said to me in a derogatory tone "Haven't you been putting something on this? Now they're embedded and I'm going to have to open the wound to remove them. You made this worse than it had to be." I just started to cry. I put my hand on the table and turned so I did not have to see the open wound. Dr. Afolabi stopped and refused to remove any more stitches until I would watch her remove them. She said to me when I asked why "Because you need to be comfortable with this." That day I walked in front of an on-coming train, the thought of my mother-less children is the only reason I'm here today. I ended up seeing an occupational therapist, she was completely dismayed that a Dr. would treat me so terribly considering I had a severe nerve/bone injury. The trauma of having the end of my finger severed was not as bad as the care I was subjected to by Dr. Afolabi.

The results far exceeded my expectations.My nose looks normal for the first time in several years. I didn't think it could be done.
