When I first called, the receptionist was pleasant and helpful, it all went down hill from there. I arrived for a walk in appointment to have a wart removed from my hand and was told that there was a problem with my health card but I could pay $100 and get reimbursed by OHIP. I found out afterwards that this isn't as easy as they made it seem. I called up OHIP and they told me that they don't reimburse, and I would have to deal directly with the walk in. After follow up calls to Bonavista I was told by a different receptionist that OHIP never/rarely reimburses. I feel like I was lied to and ripped off. I even provided the walk in with my updated health card information within a week of my appointment but they refused to provide any reimbursement or assistance in dealing with OHIP. I was told that the doctor would return my call to come to a resolution, but heard nothing. During my initial appointment the doctor had a coffee in the room and knocked it over spilling it on the floor. When it came to freezing off the wart, he barely hit the wart area and it has left a mark on my hand which is 4x -5x the size of the actual wart. I am fairly new to the area and had hoped this may have been an option for a family doctor, but at this point I can't recommend this place. This was by far the most unprofessional doctors office I have been to, and I feel both disrespected and frustrated. I have made attempts to resolve this issue with Bonavista before writing this review, but their lack of empathy is not what you would expect from a doctor's office.

To be honest, it is very discouraging to try to make an appt, reception NEVER answers the phone and never call you back. If you go and get blood work done or a scan, god forbid that you have to wait a month or two to get results as you cannot get ahold of anyone to make an appt. Anyone know of any Doctor's accepting new patients?

I can never get through to reception, they keep changing their answering service, may as well not have a phone. You have to hit # 2 times to save a message and even then they never check them. My doctor has no bed side manner. Always refers to me as one of my disorders, oh you're the girl with... seriously. I'm not my illness

Waited from 4:30-almost 7pm in the waiting room. Patients not brought in In order, no warning regarding wait time and no help from doc (asked for sleep aid) use this walk in clinic if you enjoy being angry and thirsty.

Worst clinic in the city. They never answer phone Calls. They Ask me to leave my number and name in the website and didn't hear back for a week..I did leave them voice message a week ago..pissed off with this bullshit..gotta find different place..will be my last visit and won't recommend for anyone. Stay away from this people.

Regardless of the long wait times and nearly never answering their phone, the staff and service was amazing. Receptionist was patient and pleasant and the Doctor was incredible, listened to me thoroughly. Pharmacist was also great. Just come prepared to wait a bit.

Was worth the wait! The Doctor was very nice and didn't make me feel rushed, he actually listened to me! The ladies at the front desk were wonderful! Even the pharmacist was helpful to me, he ever offered delivery! I will definitely recommend to my friends and family to come to this clinic! Thank you!

Had a test done, never called with results. After two weeks called three times left message but no return call. On previous occasion, Feb 2017 similar experience with results of X-rays on a broken arm. They blamed hospital. May be best to avoid this place. Only looking for an inpatient so can bill system. Definitely not into care of patients.

Very comfortable setting. Immediate attention by receptionist. The Dr there was thorough and was very personable. Conveniently enough there pharmacy is right beside them in the same office.

I've Sat here an hour now. Says they're a walk in clinic open at 9 am. They've taken 20 patients ahead of me. A man comes out and says don't take walk ins till after 5 to the desk staff. It's incredible slow. Should have went to the walk in I always use that opened at 10 and I'd be in and out faster.

The doctors are great. My experience with them has always been positive. They are thorough and do not rush you to finish the appointment. Sadly, the reception has a negative impact on the clinic. There seems to be some aversion to answering phone calls. Be prepared to call multiple times, over the span of several days before you manage to get through. Something to note for patients attempting to make and cancel appointments.

Why can some people get an appt with their doctor within a week in this city and others get a very long wait time? 5 weeks was bad enough now it's 8 weeks to see family doctor. Please, hire a professional office manager and consider an 'Advanced Access' approach for scheduling. I am nervous of becoming sick and needing to rely on this practice. Many of the negative reviews left are spot on.

Outstanding service. Went in to rule out a chest infection. Was told the best medical advice I've ever heard. "Have a glass of single malt scotch from time to time." Priceless. Chest infection turned out to be the common cold. Still enjoying the scotch.

Awful basically brushed off my mom and just ignore me the whole time while I was explaining about her symptoms. He was rushing us out. We had a appointment too and took us an hour to see him. Do not waste your time! That is why they are always looking for new clients.

We went to the walk-in clinic this past Saturday and the receptionist was very nice. We had about an hour wait but it was well worth it for Dr. Mahdi Ibrahim. He was very kind, thorough and has a great personality. Our 6 year old was upset at first but he calmed her down.

This place is BRUTAL. They never answer their phones. You can spam call them over and over and get nothing but an answering machine. They forget to check patients in for their appointments. They forget to call with specialist appointments. Doctor is disorganized and has very poor rapport. Garbage.

As mentioned by many others, they do not answer the phone. 20 calls and no answer. Haven't tried texting yet... The place is clean and everyone is friendly and we were in and out pretty quick, so it's not all bad.

Hours posted on the door and online say they're open until 8:00pm Mondays. Went in at 7:40 pm with aching ears and throat but they STOP taking patients at 7:30. The place was empty! Really disappointed.

They are not a walk-in clinic during the day and they never answer their phone so you will waste your time going all the way there like I did. Don't bother going after 5pm either because they have "a limited" amount of patients they see for walk-in and once they have reached their cap, they will turn you away. Even though it says they are open until 8pm. If they see their max number of patients by 7pm, they will shut down.

My doctor is great, but unfortunately that's the only good thing about this place. I called eleven times over the span of two days and got through to reception once. They have a $100 missed appointment fee so DO NOT EXPECT to be able to cancel or change appointments over the phone. Anyone living out of town beware. Edit: aaand my doctor shut his practice down. Waited months for the new doctor.. He's a nice guy but I'm not feeling any sort of personal attention here. God I miss the days when family doctors were personable, not overworked, and properly funded.

I have been to this clinic trying to be seen as a walk in twice this week. Tuesday I came in was told no walkins until 5pm even though I had checked online and hours were 9-8pm. Today Thursday same thing and I called listening to message saying walk in open until 8pm. No walk in until 5 pm again!!! This was extremely annoying as messages say check website for any further information. I'm not sure how you can advertise as a 9-8pm walk in yet not see a walk in before 5

This is a great clinic! I’ve had nothing but kind staff including the Pharmacist. They take people in order at the walk-in. People may think they aren’t as they will let you sign in and wait elsewhere if you prefer to not sit there and wait in the waiting room. I think this is GREAT that they allow this, but I can see what it may look like if someone who arrived after you is being seen first, even though they actually signed in earlier. I’m not sure what’s with all the bad reviews! Yes the walk-in doesn’t open until 5pm although the clinic opens earlier for regular appts, perhaps the web site could make that clearer, but not a reason to give a 1 star rating imo :)

After my initial family doctor retired, I have been blessed with an amazing new doctor, Dr. David.

Amazing place. Staff changes have helped this business become more efficient. Doctors are friendly and there to help. Short wait times. If they are going to be long the staff informs you and you do not have to wait at the clinic. They go out of their way to help. Highly recommend !!!
