Tony Truman and Carol have provided 24 years of family medical care with my family and in my opinion we need more Doctors and nurses like them. Dr Truman is very thorough and never rushed, he has even taken the time to notify a family member on a Sunday afternoon that he needs to see them at the hospital. His care and concern is always for his patient and their well being regardless of how busy life can be.

(Opinions are purely my own & based on my direct personal experience.) Do NOT let this doctor provide palliative care for a loved one! My father is dying, we submitted the request on his behalf for paperwork to be submitted to the Ministry of Health to begin the process for Medical Assistance in Dying (MAID) over 2 weeks ago and it still hasn't been filed! On his first visit to my father in over a month since his cancer diagnosis, Dr. Truman spoke with my father on April 16th - more than a week after we made our formal request for MAID and a week after his wife/nurse assured me the process had been started - and my dad told him very clearly that he couldn't see any reason he would change his mind for MAID. Dr. Truman walked out of my father's room and immediately said to my mother and me "He's not ready to die." My father's wishes deserve to be honoured and respected, but Tony Truman has shown total disregard for his own responsibilites AND for my father! While I can appreciate his position in not supporting Medical Assistance in Dying, he therefore has no business being listed as a palliative care doctor who does support it! Even though he has been the family doctor for many years, his personal feelings clearly affect his ability to provide proper care, and I have lost all respect for him! Tony Truman has been fired as my father's palliative care physician. I only wish there was more I could do, because Dr. Truman's ineptitude has caused additional suffering and an extended delay in the MAID process, all of which could and SHOULD have been avoided!

TERRIBLE RECEPTIONIST. Ok doctor if you can actually get any face time with him unfortunately due to the previously mentioned terrible reception it is very difficult (and upsetting) to get any. For the lack of customer service and people skills it is astounding to me the one receptionist still holds her position ive had many interactions with them and none of them were pleasant. They straight up won’t answer the phone if they don’t feel like it and will hang up on people outright if they don’t feel like helping you refill your prescription, take calls, schedule appointments etc. . My friend is struggling with mental health troubles and ran out of his medication, I called on his behalf And was told “ not happening” after much coercion and pleading she finally agreed to at least ask. I told her I would have a follow up call to see how she made out and asked her what time they were open until. She said “noon.” And hung up. I set my alarm for 11:40 and called back to get an answering machine recording of her saying the office was now closed until 3 days from now and “this phone will not take a message”. Thank for your help. If you and your family struggle with mental health issues at ALL please find another doctor as these people are not healthy or conducive to the recovery.

Great doctor horrible office practice. Never answers the phone and will pick up the reciever and hang it back up all day long if they do t just put it on busy .... if you need help hire anotber office staff member.

In my opinion this is the best doctor in the area I cannot believe they hardly ever take holidays Dr Truman and his wife Carol have dedicated their lives to helping there patients . They should have been retired years ago so they can enjoy their lives together Thank you so much you are an asset to our community
