The doctor I was first seeing didn’t do the surgery he had said he was doing so now two and a half years later I have to repeat it. There is no communication with the staff within the office, causing patients to have to track them down for appointments all the time (had an appointment dec 18 2017 was the end of January 2018 that I had to book my own appointment as no one had looked at the drs notes in my file) which in reality isn’t all that bad except they never answer their phones! When you finally do get through to them, and by that I mean having to physically go into the office where they tell you that they are sooo busy, and you specify that you specifically need a Tuesday appointment, and they call you three weeks before your appointment and tell you that they moved you to a Wednesday. Now I have lost 7 hours of pay.

My 1st cycle was successful.. I'm thankful to the staff and dr for taking care of me..

If zero stars were an option that would be their ranking. First off let's start with MONTHS on end of no returned phone calls ... then when they do return calls (which was never to myself always to my husband, who was also leaving messages) they were completely rude and 100% unprofessional. When we finally received a call back regarding results (which I was promised within 1hr of an appointment over 72 hours ago) the nurse calls at 0745 with a huge attitude, tells me not to get angry on the phone when I'm half asleep and very confused by the early call, I understand you're busy but do not take an attitude with someone who just paid your clinic $75 for a test that used to be free, that you didn't follow through on your end with promised timings on results. Beyond disappointed with their overall service and we will HAPPILY drive out of our region for future services instead of giving anymore business to this rude clinic.

I know two people who are very close to me who have visited this clinic and they’re both extremely disappointed in the attitude of the nurses at this clinic (with the exception of one nice nurse). It is up setting how people can be so ignorant towards people who are obviously going through a tough time..

I found the nurses to be very kind and cheerful and Dr Moreau to be very nice. They do IUI at this clinic but IVF takes place elsewhere. Once I got pregnant (which serendipitously happened naturally before treatment started), they continued to provide me with a great level of care in the early weeks of pregnancy (beta tests, early ultrasound to confirm viability, etc) Initially It took me about 3 months to get a first appointment with Dr Moreau, but for me it was worth it in the end. Added bonus is that he's an OB-GYN and can take on his fertility patients through their pre-natal care to birth. I know that everyone's fertility journey is different, but I am very happy with my experience at BFC.

I was evaluated and dismissed after one blood test and an HSG and told to continue trying the natural way. Fast forward to 2 years later and a much better fertility clinic and no shocker, this clinic missed a very basic and super common infertility diagnosis. This clinic is a complete waste of time, I now drive 45 minutes each way to get great care and would not go back to this clinic. They do not have a reproductive endocrinologist on staff.

I’ve only done one cycle of fertility monitoring and I haven’t had success in getting pregnant yet but I’m continuing to get treatment with the Barrie Fertility Clinic. So far, I’ve been very impressed with the nurses and Dr. Browning. My consults with Dr. Browning have been over the phone because of Covid and because I’m out of town. He called just when he said he would each time (which is very impressive in health care these days). He explained things throughly. The nurses, who I’ve seen in person and talked to over the phone, have been so kind and helpful. They’re amazing at returning voicemails and answering all my questions. I work in health care and I know it’s extremely common for doctors’ offices to not call you back for days and days so I was pleasantly surprised by the nurses’ attentiveness. This is a stressful and emotional time in my life and I’m so grateful that they’ve been helping me and not hindering me.

I am having a great experience at the Barrie Fertility Centre. All of the nurses are kind and willing to take the time to answer questions and guide you through the process. They all seem to truly care and treat you as an individual despite the numerous women they see on a daily basis. The website could be more comprehensive explaining the various treatment options, steps, success rates, etc. It really does pale compared to other fertility centres; and, in my eyes, doesn't do their level of expertise and knowledge justice. There is also a little inconsistency among the nurses in regards to what to do; so, sometimes it's hard to know if that's a preference, a range (meaning, either would be ok) or if one of them is "right". It creates a bit of extra stress (especially for my personality and because this is such an important, timely, and costly undertaking). But, overall, they do an excellent job and I am very grateful to have these services offered in my own city.

I would have given this Clinic full five stars as my first cycle was successful and I gave birth to a healthy boy 6 weeks ago however I was really taken back by asking for copies of my receipts for tax purposes and asked to pay $75 it doesn't even pay to then file them because I won't get as much back plus it's not even ten pages worth of anything and they want to charge me that much it's robbery the nurse didn't even ask me who I was just quickly told me an amount to pay first on a plus note Dr Moreau is an amazing fertility specialist and I highly recommend him to anybody

With the exception of the one lovely nurse who works there, would never recommend to anyone. Old technology and poorly equipped facility. Glad I made the move to New Life fertility clinics.

Well, after all the tests were run, Dr Browning met with me to discuss results. But for him it wasn't to discuss results, it was to book a pricey treatment immediately, or so it seemed to me. He rushed through everything quickly without explaining much, only asking if I had questions when I said I would need to research IUI before booking. He was annoyed with me because my husband wasn't there to enable us to proceed right away. He gave me misinformation to convince me we had only a 3% chance of conceiving on our own; when I left I did research via google, people in this position, and another fertility clinic to find out what he told me is wrong. I would almost want to report this but apparently some clinics 'use higher standards.' I don't feel like I left with any real answers. And also want to note... why charge $300 for emails and phone calls when both are free across canada these days?

I have been dealing with what my doctor and I believe is endometriosis, so he sent me for the CA-125 bloodwork that determines abnormalities, and to see if anything is elevated. I went on October 6 to get my day 3 bloodwork done, and had to pay $50 out of pocket for it. Go back on day 21 to do the same thing. 3 weeks later, today, I go to my OB to get my results, only to find they never sent the endometriosis bloodwork results. This whole process was 1 month in length. In 1 month, they couldn't even send the proper documentation for my OB to look at, to determine if I need the diagnostic surgery to rule out endometriosis. I have been dealing with every ounce of pain imaginable, and have waited over 2 years to receive some answers, and I finally had that chance today, only for the so called professionals to not do the one thing they are paid to do. I have never been so angry, upset and disheartened in my life nor have i ever not received my proper results. I refuse to ever go back to this establishment again! ????

I highly recommend Barrie Fertility Clinic. The nurses and staff are experts in theirs fields and incredibly kind. In 2019 I worked with Dr. Moreau who is an amazing OB and excellent in fertility and the Barrie Fertility Clinic, my first cycle with the clinic was successful and my son was born healthy in March 2020. I can’t say enough wonderful things about the team at Barrie Fertility Clinic.

My experience was as great as fertility treatments can be. The nurses that run this fertility are intelligent and we'll equipped to manage this clinic. It's not sugar coated, there are no refreshments. This is a medical clinic providing medical services. We're actually lucky these nurses have great personalities because they definitely don't have to. Phone calls were returned within a respectable time frame and probably returned based on priority of importance. It's a busy clinic, unfortunately. Update: 2021 OFN made some significant changes for the better and I had a very successful and pleasant experience this summer. :)

I'm not sure if there was a change in staff before I started because some of these reviews make no sense to me! All of the nurses there have been wonderful. Always so positive, friendly and willing to answer all of my questions. This isn't an easy situation to be in, and these ladies are the bright side of this journey. Dr. Moreau has been great to deal with as well, straight forward and to the point but in a friendly way. I really enjoy him.

Although I'm still new to the process so far I give it 5 stars. I started at the clinic a year ago for PCOS and a no ovulation diagnosis. I got medicated and they said whenever we wanted to talk further they were here for us. Fast forward a year later and we've had 3 miscarriages. When I called back to talk to the clinic again and start investigative tests...the nurses were incredible. Their ability to empathize a terrible situation and encourage me has been truly the best. Dr Browning has been awesome too and I love that he takes the least invasive approach first and thus far we have felt in control of what we want. I look forward to continuing my treatment with Dr Browning and the lovely nurses.
