We have all the feddbacks of people who are consuming the products of Huronia Urgent Care Clinic (Doctor) in the area of Barrie (Canada).
Currently this firm gets a score of 2.6 stars out of 5 and the rating was based on 127 reviews.
You may have noticed that its rating is average, neither too high nor too low, and it's based on a very high number of opinions, so we can be quite sure that the assessment is very reliable. If many people have bothered to evaluate when they've done well with the service, is that it works.
You know that we do not usually stop to place tatings when these are good and we usually do it only if we have had a problem or incidence...
This Doctor corresponds to the category of Urgent care center.
I mean its better then going to the ER.... booked an apt for 5:26pm got in at 7:40ish. Thank goodness I booked it for after work instead of before work like I was going to originally.
Fast, Friendly and efficient.
I have never had an issue with the services at this location. It is convenient, clean, organized and the staff are all well mannered. The building that they are located in is well equipped to handle extra diagnostic testing and is logically laid out to access other building services. This also clinic provides many services not found at other walk in clinics. There is plenty of parking, but, not a lot of handicapped parking, which is surprising. There is a back entrance for mobility challenged persons who want a direct entrance to the second floor (diagnostic services) instead of waiting for the elevator or to bypass the busy front entrance. In response to some of the poor reviews.... 1) If you preregister for the clinic it is for the clinic ONLY. The lab, xrays, etc. are different companies and one does not have anything to do with the other. 2) I think it is important to note that the doctors that work here do not JUST work here, they have their own practices, are oncall at the hospital, are backups for fellow doctors, etc. If they are running late it is likely that they were dealing with something important! Would you like it if they did not take their time with you because someone else was waiting? No, you would still expect quality of service. Unfortunately doctors are NOT mind readers and are human. Sometimes it takes a bit longer to deal with a child or elderly person. Sometimes they need bathroom breaks and eat to stay healthy. This goes for the nurses too! 3) Attention: People in intense pain, profuse bleeding, chest pains, or any suspicions of a life threatening issue...GO TO THE HOSPITAL...this is a walk in clinic! You are not being triaged by a nurse immediately upon arrival. Many of the complaints here would have been seen at a hospital, on a priority basis, once triaged by the nurse. Yes, there is a nurse here that assists the doctor but they are not the same as a triage nurse at a hospital. 4) Legally the clinic cannot open unless a doctor is in the office. So, if the doctor(s) is (are) running behind because they just left their busy (multi car pile up) ER shift or hospital rounds (dealing with the family of a dying child) then the clinic will open when they get there. See my comments, in #2 above, about YOU wanting quality of care and treatment for yourself and loved ones. Others deserve the same care! 5) ALWAYS ASK FOR A WRITTEN PRESCRIPTION...this simple rule will alleviate any issues with missing or unfaxed prescriptions. ALWAYS WAIT OR RETURN TO PICK UP FILLED FORMS...this will prevent specialists/employers from not receiving forms. Take the responsibility for your personal documents. This clinic is a treasure in the southeast end of Barrie. I really think it is a asset to our surrounding community. It's ability to provide the services it does alleviates stress on our local hospital. The only issue I do have is their phone service. They need to provide clearer, up to date, information. There should also be a answering service or possibly a phone triage service so that you can make an informed decision about whether you should go to the hospital or walkin clinic.
The doctor and nurses where very nice and help full, and professional and careing. It isn’t a hospital but it’s faster then any other place in the city I have been very too, they always are taking patients from the time they open to the time they close, (they also have a text you program that Notifies you of when your appointments coming up the cost is around $3). The doctors and nurses where very sympathetic to towards the injury’s I had received which I had been so very great full for all of they’re help and what they could have done. The only thing is that they do get very busy for reasons that are very understandable they’re waiting room is always clean, and the facility is always very clean. The front desk people do seem frustrated, when I arrive but it mite be what goes along with the job. I can’t say I haven’t worked that type of job ever but ether way they all deserve our appreciation for their hard work they do.
DO NOT PAY TO SKIP THE WAIT. After paying and arriving when prompted I was told there’s 6 people ahead of me, at least an hour wait. Total scam.
Clinic was supposed to open at 9 am. 9:30 and Nothing. They could at least come out and let us all know what the hold up is and whether or not we should go elsewhere. Very poor customer service.
Waiting outside with 2 sick children for an hour...still not open at 814am
Waiting is ridiculous for the very aged ill. Kids come in with runny noses and go first.
Had a broken collarbone and had the bone sticking out of It, took 3hrs just to get checked in
Came here about a month and a half ago because of a lump on my neck, it's very hard to get an appointment with my family doctor and lumps are concerning so I wanted to get it checked out straight away. The doctor here completely brushed me off and said I don't know what it is but you seem fine so it's fine. Come to find out after going to my family doctor and getting some tests done it's a tumor...
They never pick up the phone even tho have have test result that are yours. I have called 15 time leaving 4 messages asking for the results to find out what i actually have because all the doctor said was"you should drink more fluids( water mixed with a sport drink)" i have been doing so for over a week and no change to my health.
My uncle went to the walk in clinic because he was getting pain everywhere in his body. The doctor said he had the flu and perscribed him medication. Now he’s in the hospital because of a heart attack. I feel like the doctors honestly don’t know what they’re doing.
This clinic straight turned my daughter away for a medical condition that THEY had been prescribing her medication for. Absolutely disgusting! I will be reporting this facility to the college of physicians & surgeons!
Online appointments count for nothing here. Nothing is updated online either so you can't see wait times on the website. I've wasted many hours here....don't bother
I booked an appointment here for my 2 yr old daughter, they told us to come back later that afternoon. 20 mins before the appointment time we received a call that the appointment was canceled. The physician was not willing to she her due to her symptoms (Covid related)... Her symptoms were Fever and I mentioned a light cough at times. I could understand the concern if we hadn't already provided a negative Covid test result when booking the appointment! I understand people are worried about covid but even with a negative test my 2 year old is refused medical treatment. They advised me to go to a Covid clinic... Why would I take my daughter to a covid clinic when she already has a negative Covid test result!? I think all these reviews speak for themselves.
Due to provincial and federal health related problems. This facility is excellent. It's unfortunate so many people are out of touch with our current health care system. People blame these doctors who work quickly to see as many people as possible and then you get these ungrateful lazy people who are out of touch with reality. Take your own scripts in to Walmart(fyi Walmart screws up 90 percent of perscriptions by losing the faxes and mis allocating medications zehrs down the road is good for that also.) no one answers the phone, well obviously the patient in front of them is priority call telehealth and if you want to know the wait time. Dont be lazy go and find out for yourself. Stop slowing everything down for those patiently waiting already. Maybe we should close down all the clinics so people can attempt to find family doctors with 0 wait times, oh wait hang on its Ontario the liberals assisted in further increasing wait times. And refused to settle contracts with ontario doctors. Yet you all blame the doctors and facilities they work at on top of their own practices. Too many ungrateful pos out there, move to kenya and see the difference. WELL DONE TO ALL BARRIE WALKIN CLINICS AND THE EMPLOYEES WHO HAVE TO PUT UP WITH ALL THESE RIDICULOUS NARCISSTS WHO CANNOT GRASP SIMPLE FACTS THEY'RE NOT THE ONLY ONES THERE.
It's no longer for " urgent " care.
DO NOT USE SKIP THE WAITING ROOM. Do not use skip the waiting room if you need to get xrays or blood work done. I got up at 7am and registered online for skip the waiting room. I didbt get called in until 11am. Once I got there, there was a 45 minute wait just to register. Once I was registered I only waited about 40 minutes to see the doctor, however he had to send me upstairs for xrays. When I got upstairs there were about 20 people waiting. I explained to the woman at the desk that I had used skip the waiting room. She told me that, that does not count for blood work or xrays and my wait would be 4 to 5 hours for the xray. If your going to have a skip the waiting room option available it should take in account xrays and blood work. If I would have known about this prior I would have just gone in at 7am when i was already waiting. I registered early as I had to work that afternoon and needed to be out by 1. 7 hours, one would think would be a sufficient enough time period to be in and out. I could have gone to RVH and had the same waiting time. I left without the xray and wasted my entire morning and afternoon there with no result.
Waitimes are long, but shorter than emergency room. But you don’t have to a wait there! We signed up for txt msg alerts and return when is our turn. Every time drs have been amazing, thorough and I didn’t feel rushed. Proper diagnosis every time. The nurses are so caring and on top of things. This is our go to place.
Made an appointment online and still had to wait an hour and half to see a Dr. Unprofessional staff, poor patient care. Will NOT return to this clinic.
staff were friendly and nice and offered me help when I could barely walk with a back injury and got xrays and told it was a muscle problems, they called back 2 weeks later and told me it was actually a contusion, just to call back 5 mins later just to tell me it was 2 fractured vertebrae and that I should go to the hospital, so that wasn't super good in that part lol
The walk in clinic is a "free service" which is paid by our taxes contributions, but if i book on line, i have to pay $5 for the service, i know is cheap, but unfair, also there is people who dont know about the on line service, and have to wait too many hours, realy disapoonted!
My wife went here aug 2 with soar throat and chest pains, after waiting almost 3 hrs she was told it's just a soar throat, so she went home took advil cold and sinus and tried to self medicate with over the counter meds it's aug 8 she came here this morning at 7:45am they already had a sign on the door they had to many patients already, she heads and home registered online to be seen by 2:00pm this was done in the am figured give it time to slow down, They kept pushing her visit to a later and later time she drove there just to find out it doesn't matter if u register online (and pay $5.65 for the service) the people that walk in get numbers befor you anyways! It's now almost 4pm she's still in the waiting room and there's about 20people still ahead of her. This place is ridiculous we need better care for the people that live in this surrounding area, this clinic needs the ministry of health to visit with them!
I generally have a good expierence here !! ( it’s a walk in clinic what do you expect) but today’s expierence was alittle unsettling. The way they spoke to their patients today (including myself) was disgusting. The female doctor ( and nurse) there was so condescending!! Felt so uncomfortable in her care. I get your job must be difficult but maybe try being alittle oh I don’t know friendly.
I received excellent care from both the nurse and doctor. Used the online skip the line. Received a text to make my way over and all said in and out less than 45 minutes. Thank you!
I've come here quite a few times because of emergencies and placement requirements such as vaccines and it's always a quick visit. Everyone is so nice and they know my first name by now.
Very good customer service, the receptionist is very nice and friendly... Very organized clinic ... They respect patients... Thank you all
then to clinic last thursday, because i was having stomach pain. not know what is was . i called a nurse she findly came out and told me in was a covid 19 sign. so she sent me to have a test. not see any doctor at this point. had test when home in so much pain phone my family doctor. she said get to hospital i when it turn out appentics. i could have died it was a angry one. so thank the nurse with dark hair to be more worried about covid 19 then someone health
Worst non cooperative stafff I have ever seen in Barrie especially the reciaptniast my daughter did 2 vomiting in clinic and asked her to see the doctor on priority in this case even after 3 hr waiting she could ask doctor to see my daughter especially when she is 9 month old So I had to leave for another walk-in clinic
This place is THE WORST place I have ever been to. First off, I have been waiting 5 hours just because of an infection, if you come here early, don’t exspct to be seen faster because I was the 3rd person in here and at least 20 people have walked in and walked out after being seen, the receptionist treats you as if you’re completely stupid, there is a fee even though health care is supposed to be free, the bathroom has pee on the sink, urine samples are just hanging out around on counters and even children that are screaming and can’t stop coughing aren’t seen for hours, no numbers have been called in at least 2 hours and it makes it seem like the physicians are just having a friggin coffee in the back. I’m leaving this place, honestly don’t come here, don’t waste your time.
Friendly staff. Book online first at 6 am on the website to get an appointment. Good experience overall.
July 29th 2020 “Need to go to a walk in clinic? Why wait, when you could Skip the Waiting Room.” That’s a sign on the wall. My appointment was booked for 10:55, I got into the examination room at 11:42. I’m waiting for a doctor right now. It’s currently 12:00. I’m still waiting for a doctor.
Never had good experience, always close before time, very unprofessional staff
A nice facility with kind staff. Online booking of appointments is available for this location.
Fast, nice, friendly... Got wound all cleaned up and 4 stitches, in and out of the clinic in about an hour.
Got there at 9am because that's when they said they'd open during holiday hours. Turns out they were completely closed for the day. At least 10 people were also waiting, some since 7:30 and had no idea they were closed today. No info on the website or even a sign in the window. This was my second visit and on my first I was sent home with no prescription even though I had all of the symptoms of the flu.
I have a lot of respect for health care professionals, however I really question the knowledge of the doctors at this clinic. I went to this clinic about 2 weeks ago because I had extreme pelvic pain that started the afternoon prior. It was so bad that I couldn't even stand up straight. The doctor that I met with asked me my symptoms and I showed him exactly where the pain was and that it was radiating all over. He had absolutely no idea what was wrong with me. He was suggesting things that could be causing the pain and when I asked him "Well can that cause Pelvic pain because I've never heard of that before" he would say "No, it doesn't so I don't know what is causing your pain." Instead of ordering tests for me to get to the bottom of why I was hurting, he gave me antibiotics for a bacterial infection. I left in tears, I was so upset and in so much pain. I ended up having to go to the ER that night because I couldn't bare the pain any longer. The moment I arrived at the hospital, I showed the nurse where my pain was and she instantly said "You've had pain there for over 30 hours?" I got in right away. The doctor was shocked at the fact that a doctor earlier dismissed this as nothing and that he was worried my appendix exploded. After all the appropriate tests, blood work, and ultrasound, they finally found that I had a ruptured cyst on my ovaries. The doctor at this clinic didn't even suggest an ovarian cyst or appendix, which is quite shocking. If you have a cold or bladder infection, then this is the right place for you to go, but if you are in intense pain and really do not know what is wrong with you, you are better off going to the emergency room. Another thing that I found terrible about this clinic is the amount of people they let in right away before people who are in obvious pain. A lady had come in while I was waiting who was in a wheel chair and had broken her foot. She was sobbing and couldn't even breathe properly she was in so much pain and they went ahead and let a 15 year old boy with his mom that was at the clinic because he "had a fever and felt like it was turning into a cold." Are you kidding me? "
The doctors and nurses here are top notch. Not only compassionate but with a wonderful bedside manner and sense of humour.
always good service
Amazing clinic, exceptional staff. Booking an appointment time helps tremendously with wait. Healthcare workers are friendly and efficient.
Just left there and it was the worst experience of my life. First of all the nurse was down right rude and when she figured out what medication I was on she called me an addict! Never again will I go back there! I used to love going there because they were quick and friendly. I am disgusted with the service I received today.
I had a fall last Saturday. Went to this clinic and had 18 stitches in all. I just got back from having the stitches removed! I could not have been treated with more respect or care. Many many thanks.
This has been one of the worst experiences of my life. So unprofessional. Everyone knows what you're in for. I heard from across the room that a child had an ear infection, a lady's xray was clear, and a nurse asking to find out if there were any plastic surgeons available in the area that's on call. I heard so many things that should be private. I did skip the waiting room online and still waited an hour before going in or more and almost half an hour waiting for a doctor to come in. I had a male doctor who was so unprofessional. There's so much more to say they don't deserve 1 star.
Great clinic. I highly recommend booking an appointment then your wait time will be minimal. The website is easy to use and my appointment was right on time. The care I received was great - professional and quick! My new go to clinic!
Excellent and quick care considering there were a LOT of people there when I visited.
Have been to this walk in several times over the last five or six years. Yes, sometimes I have had to wait a long time but using the app has helped with that. I think they do a great job here with the resources that they have and am thankful for their help and care over the years.
I arrived at 7:45 AM and was out of there in less than an hour. Great service.
Honestly, if you can go to any other clinic, please do. They are completely disorganized, and do not communicate with one another.
Amazing experience. Fractured wrist but still in and out in under 2 hours.
Horrible was there since 7:30 waiting in line and no dr showed up at 8 and no dr showed up at 9 worst morning
Great Staff and Doctors, never had a problem or issue in the 2 years our family has gone there.
You are able to hear the conversations between other patients and the doctors from the other rooms. I have been here twice and have seen two different doctors, they both were extremely uncaring and not sympathetic at all to the pain I was in. I was looking to get an xray or a referral for an ultrasound, the second time I went I had a note from my Phyiso requesting one as well. One of the doctor told me "sorry I don't have a magic pill" I will never return and I advise everyone to not bother.
Ridiculous wait times as there was 5 people in the room. The receptionist (s) were rude when asked about being seen as we waited 2 hours
Came here with my girlfriend and was told to pick up a prescription the day of at the time the appointment was supposed to be at, when we went to the pharmacy they said the prescription was never sent. Tried calling but was transferred 5 times and eventuwlly hung up on, after driving all the way back to the doctors to tell them they then said they'd sent the form over so we had to drive all the way back to pick it up. Upon arrival with the prescription we were then criticized by both the receptionist and the doctor herself for being "late" this has to be the worst office i have ever had the displeasure of being at everyone here acts as if their arm is being twisted to work.
I am pleased to tell, that Huronia Urgent care provided me with great overall experience. Waiting time was about 20 min, doctor was point on with my diagnosis and prescription. Thanks a lot
Useless doctors safe you're time and go to the hospital
Went for a work related injury and doctor seemed to minimize my issue and "said his feet are sore after a 12 hour shift of standing too." The physical requirements of my job are much more strenuous than walking from exam room to exam room, and long term impairment means I would be unable to due my job, which was my main concern. At the end of the day he did give me a referral, but also gave conflicting recommendations for modified work duties (i.e. I can walk, but not stand for extended periods when walking was the primary cause), and I didn't really feel like he answered my questions clearly. The person who did the pre-screening was more helpful and had a better bedside manner. I like this place because they have more resources available for diagnosis and the online booking, but the doctors can be somewhat arrogant and condescending.
I came to this clinic 2 and a half years ago in a mental health crisis. The doctor was cold and unsupportive and unfortunately I didn't get her name. The nurse was outstanding though and I am heretoday because of her. I wanted her to know that I am about to become a nurse too! Thankyou Carrie!
Well worth the wait, I've rarely had a negative experience. I even met my family doctor here!
Great service. The receptionist helped me greatly seeing as I am travelling in Ontario right now and was having difficulties finding a doctor after my phone was broken and Covid-19 making it hard to replace. She worked with me to help me speak with a great doctor who was able to make sure I could still get my medications. I would highly recommend this clinic because they are open longer than most of the others and they were one of the first ones open in the morning.
Great clinic. I was their today with my two kids and all the staff was terrific and helpful. It did not take for ever to be seen by the Doctor like a few other walkins I have been to and the Doctor was very great and took the time to answer any and all of my questions. Thank you everyone at The Huronia Urgent Care Clinic for all of your help
I am a senior person. After waiting more than four hours, the female doctor was extremely uncaring and not sympathetic at all with my problem The way she spoke to me was disgusting. I felt sad and very uncomfortable
Has anyone else been accused of faking a bladder infection for the antibiotics here? Or was it just me
Showed both my childs ohio card and mine. They saw my child. Ended up with a mask for inhaling meds. He asked me to cough. Said i was fine. Went to my gp next day( 45 min drive) My doc said im surprised you are walking or breathing. Serious chest infection on brink of pneumonia. So needless to say wasnt impressed by quality of patient care.
Never opens on time !!! and no one even comes out to tell you anything ppl needing care are waiting waiting . Not a very patient care focus
All our waiting was to no avail; my child didn't receive any help from symptoms. Quacks! #quackery
They saw me last year for a terrible cold. They were very efficient in praying me right away. This is a great walk-in clinic as I have been to others...good team and good doctors!
Had To Wait 5 Hrs To Be Seen..Had Very Painful Foot That I Could Not Walk On..Finally Get To See Doctor And All They Say Is You Might Have Gout And See Ur Doctor..Well Did See My Doctor And It Is Not Gout But Maybe A Stress Fracture..They Did Not Even Suggest An Xray..I Will Have To Be Almost Dead Before I Go Back There..And Registering Online Is BS As One Woman There Registared And Paid 5Dollars And Still Waited 2 And Halh Hrs.BD
Went in last Thursday morning with a sliced open finger and was out in about 40 minutes! Thanks so much to the kind and knowledgeable staff who assisted me that day!
DO NOT GO HERE! Go to a different Urgent Care! I am taking the time to Yelp this to save you from wasting your time and money. My son had a bad ear infection and needed antibiotics. We waited to see the doctor. The doctor wrote him 2 Rxs. They said they would fax them to Walmart to fill, but they didn't. I then had to wait for Walmart to fill them, but instead Walmart provided a written note that said they could not fill the Rxs because they did not come in the strength prescribed. The pharmacy called HUCC multiple times and could not reach them so I drove back to HUCC and they had closed--early. No number. No emergency contact. No nothing. I had to find another urgent care. Wait with a sick kid and my family in the car. Pay again. Wait for the RX- all the while my son getting sicker and sicker. We are now five hours into this journey. The second doctor wrote a different RX altogether. When I called HUCC (4x) to tell them what happened and ask for a refund, they would not refund the money and blamed it on Walmart, even when I faxed them Walmart's note. They don't care and they don't know how to run a business. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
Got in took five minutes great service
Horrible experience, MAKE SURE to ask the wait time when you go in. When I got to the clinic there where only 3 people in the waiting room, two hours later me and the three people are still waiting while others are coming in and being taken care of right away. I asked where I was on the list and I'm told still 8 people ahead of me, apparently you can book on line essentially skiping the line which completly makes the name " walk in clinic" false. They need to make people aware of how long the wait is if this is how they are going to run this clinic.
Not sure what is with all the haters as I read other reviews of this place. Been up here a few times on weekends or in the summer when I am at the cottage and have found it the most efficient of all the clinics in the Barrie area. Efficient and the ONLY place open so early on a weekend. Just ensure you show up BARE MINIMUM 30 minutes before they open else you will wait forever as everyone in the area it seems comes to this one...never tried SKIP THE WAITING ROOM so no clue how that option works for this place...
Not accessible to those with a disability. Waited hours to get help as I don’t have a family doctor. Every two hours I was told two more hours. I’ve been here almost 4 hours. I had a panic attack as I suffer from ptsd and I was just told to leave. No help offered no assistance. Last call kind of place. Only came because it was the only place within 70km that would take me without a family doctor.
Waited probably 25 mins, we were in and out in under an hour. Doctors and staff were fantastic and very professional.
Huronia Urgent Care Clinic is best clinic in town with great location. It is convenient, clean, organized. All staff are well mannered and very helpful.
My son needed stiches we were in and out in a hour everyone was physical distance and mask on great service thank you.
Phenomenal staff and service. Skip the waiting room feature is incredibly convenient. I’d give six stars if I could!
I avoid dr and nurses I am autistic and panic attacks I go here. Because they are great and treat me normal I am put in back area to help and they don't make me wait long spotless place
Receptionist I met with was VERY rude. Had alot of attitude when I came in to speak with a doctor. Was trying to redirect me to go to a hospital without knowing the full details to my chief complaint as IF she was the doctor...disgusting behaviour, she sets a bad tone for the company.
Went to get a prescription refill as I don't have a family doctor. Doctor came in and argued with me about what dosage i had, and then prescribed me the wrong medicine. Highly unprofessional.
I was lucky to get a good spot before opening.. but im most impressed that the doctor ive seen.. has not only prescribed meds... but wants to see me again for updates on my condition. It makes me feel she genuinly cares. For ive never been invited back by a walk in clinic before, this was new to me.
Registered online at 905 am. Paid the 5.65. Online wait time said 120 minutes. Waited for the message and received it at 1250. It's now 2 and there are still 10 people ahead. So why would they text me to come in? Sick kid now sicker. This place needs to get it together.
Worst experience I ever had, I was really sick and one of the nurse behaved so bad to me, i noticed that she was nice to others, I think it is because of my skin colour. It is so sad that people behave differently to you based on the colour of your skin.
Came in for a dermatology referral. They had it faxed to the dermatologist, but there has been no follow up by the clinic to go ahead with next steps. Haven't received any phone call by Huronia Urgent Care Clinic in 3 weeks. Very disappointed , wouldn't recommend.
Great clinic, staff were knowledgeable and the doctor was accurate and fast
My boyfriend got stung by a bee, and was having an allergic reaction. He went to urgent care because it was closest. They told him to come back in an hour and a half, and that he had to wait outside for me to get him in the heat. When I got there he was in bad shape and we went to the hospital. The ER doctor told him that if he would of waited for another hour things would be different. You would think a medical center would realize an emergency when they see it. He told the girl all of his symptoms. Absolutely ridiculous!
Ive always had a great experience. Decent hours and amazing professional staff
It’s a great clinic if you land the right dr. Unfortunately not all the drs are as knowledgeable or perhaps they just waiting for their shift to end and don’t really care. Last time I had to return 3 times bc of improper medication prescribed. But 80% of the time is flawless
The Dr. Kept waiting for 1 hour to fill up forms. After all she showed up and refused to do them with a really negative attitude. I tried to explain to her she was very rude and she walked out the room. I will never go there. Zero star.
Lock doors early, dont answer the phone and very long wait times !
My experience here was excellent! Dr Crystal Johnson was caring, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process. From start to finish everything was great!
Misdiagnosed after a 5 hour wait. Ended up in hospital. Will NEVER come back here and will make sure my loved ones don’t either.
I give this clinic 2 stars only because they let us in right before closing and the front staff were very pleasant. We went during covid in a snow storm because I knew something was wrong with my daughter. She had severe pain in her throat and could barely swallow or talk. The doctor barely looked in her throat at all, asked us if we lived in communal living and took a quick swap for strep. It came back negative and he dismissed us. She spent the rest of the night crying and in severe pain. We called our doctor in the morning and it turned out she had tonsillitis. We felt like he was judging us and just didn't bother. I will never go back there again.
I contacted Urgent Care clinic when I started showing signs of extreme fatigue, unexplained cough and brain fog (no fever or other syptoms of virus infection). I was dismissed by the staff as just having a virus despite communicating with them that it didn't feel right and nobody else I knew or had seen had any symptoms. I was told to just let it run its course. Thankfully after pushing for blood work I discovered a iron defincy and mildly damaged kidneys... so much for "just a virus". I will never attend this clinic again and I will inform anyone I can to avoid it. Such a lack of care and complete dismissal of someone's health concerns.
This is going to be my initial review of this walk in clinic. Contingent on whether or not my $15.00 "Administrative Fee" is reimbursed to me will dictate an additional review on this website as well as multiple other social media platforms. First of all would like to say this is not about the $15.00 which is not very much money these days but the principle. Canada is suppose to have FREE health care for all Canadian citizens. I myself have only seen a doctor three times in the last 40 years.Went to this walk in clinic early June of 2019. Had my health card in hand the old red and white one. Have not seen a physician in close to twenty years upon this visit. However had injured both of my knees and had no choice. When I forwarded my health card they stated it was not valid. Cut and pasted from the Ontario Ministry of Health Web Site- 4 Expiry date of coverage(month/year) – not displayed on MOST RED AND WHITE CARDS (This applied to my card). Was told I had two options at that point: 1. Leave and come back with a "valid" health card (not an option as my knees were at the point was difficult to walk). 2. Pay a $50.00 deposit which would be returned upon bringing a new health card back to the office however they would keep an extra $15.00 as an "ADMINISTRATIVE FEE". Ontario Ministry of Health Web Site- Health Card Validation- Why Validate? REDUCE ADMINISTRATIVE COSTS by confirming uninsured clients to allow healthcare providers to direct bill clients (e.g. debit/credit, credit card) at the time of service where applicable. When I requested my $15.00 "Administrative Fee" be waived was told many people do not realize their Health Card is not valid. They refused to waive the fee. I asked for the Director of the Facilities contact information- email or telephone.They were unable to give that out due to privacy reasons. The Administrative Manager conveyed to me the Director will contact me "NEXT MONTH" when they are back. So will wait and see until July 15, 2019 to see if the issue is remedied. If I had a Health Card with an expiry date, or had received a notice stating my card was going to expire I would maybe understand. However I had NO way of knowing my card was not valid until I went into the clinic that day. My expectation is that this fee is E deposited into my bank account. Should not have to drive an hour return back to this clinic to get my $15.00 "ADMINISTRATIVE FEE" which should NEVER have been charged to me in the first place. ;
3+ hour wait ever time I've gone, people paying for the 'skip the line' are always pushed back and wait longer, rushed out the door after the long wait, etc. Find somewhere else
I went into the clinic yesterday and was in and out under one hour! The receptionist and nurse (whitney and megan) were super informative and made my experience fast and easy. I don’t understand why there are so many bad reviews, but i will definitely be coming back ! And thank you to Dr Cluff!
10/13....daughter had an appointment booked for 3:46....for her 5 week old son.....slight cough was advised to have it checked out....as they were leaving she checked her phone and saw that the appointment had been canceled...no explanation.. One star is too good for this clinic....cant figure out why it even exists....Covid is not the only health issue going on with people today...get your heads out of your as@#s.....and do the job you brag about doing.....5 week old baby...morons....
Worst experience ever. The receptionist is rude and the online booking is BS. This is just a cash grab. Waited all day for a 3:30 appointment and got turned away. Substandard all around.
Attended the clinic today with severe back pain after two weeks explained where it was and as a kinesiologist I’m not stupid. I’m then told physio and naproxen after I just stated I have been to my chiro two times and was doing mobility exercises all week and that When I took naproxen and advil During the week it did nothing. He also stated my back pain didn’t warrant any X-rays or scans even after I stated a had a serious back injury in 2015. Honestly I really think this clinic has gone down hill, I might as well have stayed home for that advice. And the receptionist either needs to quit her job or have a more positive treatment and attitude towards patients Please save yourself the time and go Else where
The blonde girl who works the front counter is extremely unprofessional and needs to do her job better.
I've brought my youngest of 4 sons to this urgent care multiple times. He's on record there, unfortunetly with covid and being a mom of 4 who's home schooling 3 children. I haven't had the opportunity to update my 2 year olds health card to a new version code. The staff at this urgent care facility sent my 2 year old bleeding baby away without care when he was in serious need of stitches urgent care is 5 mins from my house, emergencyroom is 25. I'm disgusted.
Fast food medicine at its worst. Go in looking for answers get sent out with advil and no answers as to what caused the problem in the first place. Dont waste your time. Just go to shoppers.
Registering was very easy and front end staff was polite, nurse was polite. Dr was nonchalant while I could barely walk from such severe back pain. Would not give me an X-ray and sent me on my way with a “sorry for your luck.”
I haven't been there,, they may be awesome,, but who ever heard of a Doctors office who wont answer a phone, I sent them a message on there site.. NO Answer and I have sent one on there Face book page and NO ANSWER.. I really wanted to go here but I need information before driving to Barrie .. Sad.. I would give more stars, but not being able to contact them by phone is pretty bad
