Dr. Chris Gall was absolutely fantastic! He took the time to thoroughly go over my complicated travel schedule, let me know exactly what I needed and how to protect myself without drugs, and didn't pressure me to purchase anything I didn't require. He was very patient, comprehensive, and talked to me like an equal. Never once did I feel rushed. Also, I was able to get an appointment as well as the full yellow fever vaccination within 2 days. I highly recommend this travel clinic and doctor to anyone. It's definitely the best travel clinic I've experienced so far.

Summary: Well worth the trip from Burk's Falls! Every aspect of our visit was wonderful, from the simplicity of booking online (quick and easy!) through to interacting with the clinic's physician and nurse, who were extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. What's best is that my husband and I are feeling confident that we can and will remain healthy during our coming trip to St. Kitt's with our 18-month-old daughter. Why We Booked: We were initially advised to visit the Huronia Travel Clinic by our family physician as several of the vaccinations advised by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) were outside of his scope of familiarity/practice (e.g., Zika, Typhoid). I was initially hesitant as this would require a drive from Burk's Falls to Barrie plus costs not covered by OHIP ($60/consultation + any vaccinations that you choose to have administered). That said, these costs were well worth it!!! Our Visit: The nurse (Laurie) that greeted us and administered our vaccinations (for myself and my 18-month-old daughter) was incredibly lovely and made an otherwise typically tearful event actually fun. The physician (Dr. Chris Gall) was personable and took his time to walk us through a comprehensive list of health considerations specific to our travel destination, including food/drink, swimming, bug/animal bites, etc. He took the time to explain the relative disease risk associated with various activities. When it came time to discuss vaccinations, there was never any pressure, but instead a reasoned discussion regarding, again, relative risk of both contracting the illness as well as possible consequences (e.g., whether the illness was short-term and easily curable vs. something chronic, incurable and/or with serious health consequences). All in all, we were absolutely blown away by our experience at the Huronia Travel Clinic. We will not only visit them again prior to future travel but also recommend it to friends and family planning to go overseas.

Called. and got an answering machine saying to book 4-5 weeks in advance. 2 business days to return a voicemail. Doesn't help with short notice travel that's for sure!

Staff were friendly, calm, and patient. Doctor was fantastic. Didn't feel like he was trying to sell me anything - he wanted me to be as informed as possible and gave me the time and opportunity to make my own decisions. Felt thoroughly prepared for my trip.

Pay $60 each to be told not to drink the water. What travel clinic doesn't have Tetanus vaccine? Said they had the yellow fever vaccine but told they are rationing AFTER we drive an hour to acquire. Recommendation: STAY AWAY.

Staff and doctors were friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. Service was fantastic, vaccinations administered on the spot without having to run around between my family doctor and pharmacy. Feel much better about travelling south with our baby!

I would highly recommend visiting the Huronia Travel clinic before you travel. Dr. Gale and Laurie Stanford are very knowledgeable and answered all my questions, and provided a very detailed and complete consultation of my trip plans and provided great advice on risk management.

I have gone to this travel clinic for two seperate mission trips. Both times the dr I saw was amazing. He showed you maps and stuff and is realistic. Tells you what you need to get for sure and explains why and then will also tell you what isn't necessary and what's optional. He understands all the vaccines and medications are expensive so he tells you as it is. The nurse also worked around my schedule and stayed late so that I could get my follow up vaccines. The office staff is friendly. Not being able to a hold of them by phone is slightly frustrating. She did return my call but as a teacher I can't answer during class time so it ends up being a cobversation through voicemails. They do have online booking now though which is super helpful and they responded to email quickly. If I need to go to a travel clinic again I will go back to them!
