Amazing Staff!! From the moment I walked in I noticed a difference between this dental office and ANY medical office I have ever been to. The receptionist was extremely friendly and courteous. I then met Dr. Wong who seemed genuinely concerned that my dental concerns would be dealt with in not only the way I envisioned but better. For years I neglected my dental hygiene because of a fear and a passionate hatred of sitting in a dental chair. But after just 2 visits with DR. WONG and his amazing staff all my fears and hatred were extinguished. I have now been visiting DR. My whole family is accommodated there and my 3 year old just had her first and very positively exciting visit with them and she too can not wait for her next visit. Doctor Wong is by far the best dentist I’ve had the pleasure of being a patient of. His initial intake with me was over 2 hours long- as he goes over every aspect of your entire health, and ultimately, how that ties in with your oral health. He is extremely knowledgeable, patient and very accommodating. He’s the only doctor I know that will follow up personally after I’ve had work done. He has been extremely diligent on getting to the bottom of some of my perplexing teeth issues; which is rare these days! His staff are always very happy and inviting, which is a great reflection of Dr. Wong’s demeanour. Overall this has been the best office I’ve ever been a patient of. It’s a no-brainer to leave your tooth health in his hands!

I just recently started seeing Dr. Wong after not visiting a dentist for about 5-6 years. I couldn't believe how thorough Dr. Wong was! He spent a lot of time learning about my physical health as well as the health of my mouth to determine the best plan for my teeth and gums. While I was a little discouraged with the work that had to be done, Dr. Wong put me at ease by explaining everything. I've never enjoyed going to the dentist, but Dr. Wong makes it bearable. He takes the time to explain things and will offer a laugh to put you at ease. He is very friendly and doesn't hesitate to make sure you feel comfortable and free of pain while he works on your teeth. He is the only dentist that I know that does his own follow-up calls to see how patients are doing! All the dental assistants and staff that I have met have been friendly and wonderful.....I'm so glad that for the first time in my life, I'm not intimidated to go to the dentist!

Today I had my first visit at Dr. Wong’s office. From the moment I booked my appointment, to the time I left their doors I felt respected, understood & comfortable as a patient. Everyone from the ladies at the reception desk, Anna who completed my examination & Dr. Wong, they all made me feel comfortable and welcome inside the establishment. The office is state of the art. Very clean and well organized. Very beautiful. The examination rooms have HEPA filtration, which is especially important during COVID. I honestly did not feel like I was in a dentists office when inside their facility. They follow all Covid protocols which makes you feel safe from the moment you walk through their doors. They pre-screen you before your visit, check temperature & blood pressure at the door and follow physical distancing guidelines, as well as encourage all patients to sanitize hands upon entry. The moment I sat in the chair before my examination, Anna made me feel at comfort immediately. Throughout the visit, she was able to answer every question I had, as well as gave me very detailed explanations for the issues I am having, which I’ve never received from other dental offices. Dr. Wong is very knowledgeable. Speaks very clearly to you and uses analogies to put things into terms that you will actually understand. I made it clear to them about my troubles & concerns with past dentists. I can confidently say after leaving their office, I fully understood everything they told me, felt comfortable and I trust what they have told me, 100%. 10/10 service from everybody i had contact with. I highly recommend Dr. Wong and his team. As someone who does not thoroughly enjoy visiting the dentists office, I can confidently say I am excited to be able to return for my follow up visit. After having the same dentist for 30 years and having to find a new one was stressful enough plus being newly sick with an auto immune disease and covid ughhhh STRESSSSSS . Anyhow Dr Wong not only called me himself on a Friday night he also did my procedure on a Friday when he should of been on Holidays . AMAZING! He was wonderful , but here’s where it gets good ! Just because I’m a social butterfly and I like everyone , it’s hard for me to judge sometimes . My husband , Mr I only go to the dentist when I’m desperate kinda guy , went to see Dr. Wong last week , cavities galore , needs root canal , needs a crown blah blah ! I was like GREAT ! This will never happen , low and behold he went and Dr Wong was amazing ,so amazing that my husband will not stop talking about , he says he loves that guy , he’s so impressed with the office staff , the office itself is amazing! After years of not seeing a dentist regularly, I started seeing Dr. Wong and his staff. Himself and his staff are not only very friendly and helpful, they know their stuff. Since I started seeing them, I've had basic fillings, extractions and hygiene done at their office. With every procedure done, Dr. Wong always does his own follow up calls to see how you're doing. I don't know any other dentist that takes the time to do that. When it comes to chair, I am (or should I say was) nervous but with his team there to guide me through, explaining step for step, I actually enjoy going to see them. Plus with Dr. Wong's sense of humour, you'll get through your visit no problem.

Dentist is very good, but his front desk person does his emails so when you have a problem, she responds, pretending to be him, so he has no idea that you even have a problem... then as she is pretending to be him, she tells you to find someone else, so you never go back and tell him what's really going on.

Dr. Wong has been my family’s dentist since I was a child. Since leaving home to move to the city, I had not been a patient of his for over 10 years. When visiting home over the weekend I had broken my tooth and in an emergency called him to assess the tooth. He was unbelievably accommodating and professional (actually leaving his family on a Saturday night) to assist my needs. In no time and with no pain, he was able to fix my tooth. I was called the next day on a cancellation and was scheduled for a root canal. As it ended up today I had to have the tooth extracted. The staff is very welcoming and professional. I am extremely pleased with how our recent visit to Dr. Elston Wong’s clinic went. From start to finish Dr. Wong and his team provided excellent service which was very appreciated as the visit was an emergency visit for my young daughter who had a dental accident, so it was an already stressful situation. After reaching out online for recommendations I was in contact with one of the hygienists before the clinic even opened (thank you Anna for being so caring towards my situation!) she informed the staff that morning and they were in contact with me ASAP (SO appreciated) they were able to fit us in that morning. Since it was an emergency visit for my daughter, I was so nervous about what would happen... Dr. Wong and his assistant were wonderful with explaining everything in detail, he was also excellent with my daughter. He was extremely thorough and I could tell that he really cares about his patients. He also did excellent bonding work on my daughters front tooth. Later that day I said to her “you were so brave getting a needle!” She replied “a needle?” She had no idea she had even got one! Dr. Wong was great at making her feel comfortable. I've had some experiences with dentists that have left a sour taste in my mouth (literally!) but in the past 2 years, I've realized this about Dr. Wong: 1. He cares about me and my oral health, and 2) he is exceptionally skilled. There aren't a lot of general dentists who care enough to invest in a microscope (mostly used by specialists), but when your dentist uses a microscope to do your fillings and root canals, you know they care about quality work!

Melanie--who cleaned my teeth--literally had me laughing throughout the whole session, and Dr. Wong explained procedures calmly and reassuringly as I had some filling touch-ups and a new filling too, without freezing! I first went to Dr. Wong several years ago with a bad toothache. My previous dentist couldn’t figure out what was wrong. Dr. Wong found the problem within a few minutes and fixed me up. From then on my wife and three children have been going to see him. Everyone in the office is highly competent and they are great with young children. Just recently, over the Christmas vacation, I developed another bad toothache (not the same tooth) and although the office was closed for the holidays, Dr. Wong opened his doors to help me. I had an old crown that was decaying underneath where it wasn’t visible to x-ray so there was no way to know it was there until it started to hurt. Dr. Wong spent 3.5 hours trying to save my tooth. Unfortunately, there was too much decay and it had to be extracted and I think any other dentist would have just pulled it from the start. This showed me that Dr. Wong really cares about his patients and takes the health of our teeth very seriously. Dr. Wong is likely the most knowledgeable and technically up to date dentist in Barrie. His office is clean and friendly and when I go there with my family, I know I am in good hands.

Dr. Wong was extremely helpful to me. He had an after-hours cell that I could call when I had a broken tooth on Halloween night. He even considered leaving his children for the holiday to come and help me. I reassured him that I could survive until morning and so he booked me in right away. When I went into his office everyone was extremely friendly. I had a broken tooth and couple severe cavities all of which Dr. Wong tended to in a matter of 15 minutes. He put the freezing in slowly so that it would work well; and it did! I almost fell asleep while he was working. He also has no problem taking in ODSP patients and was very knowledgeable when it came to what would and wouldnt be covered by my ODSP. Highly recommend!

Five stars it is. I'm glad I switched over to Dr. Wong's practice. He runs a pretty tight ship there. Had a cleaning today, and Nancy and I had a great ol' time. She took me right back to the fundamentals of oral hygiene and walked me through important steps to take while cleaning my teeth. Who'da thunk I could still learn something about that at my age. Keisha does a great job at holding everything together at the front desk and is really quite pleasant to deal with. She definitely knows her way around the insurance providers and the whole switch-over process was essentially seamless thanks to her. I am now in the process of switching the rest of the family over.
