Dr. Hall-Findlay, and the amazing team at the Banff Plastic Surgery Clinic, surpassed any expectations I'd set. Dr. H-F was incredibly professional, kind, and compassionate, and the nursing staff was absolutely incredible. They were welcoming from the consult, and not once did I ever feel uncomfortable or unsafe. I was super nervous (obviously) and any concern I had, as silly as it may have been, was addressed professionally and fully. I was super nervous about scaring but - already i can tell they are going to heal well and i'm impressed at how well placed and not noticeable they are. I opted to stay in the Banff area the day of, because I know sometimes I react poorly to anesthetic but, I felt much better than expected the next morning and the clinic even allowed me to have my "follow up call" in person - during their lunch break! I couldn't be happier with the result, and I cannot wait to be fully healed up.

Stay away from this doctor. She is not mis informed, she knows implants are toxic bags sitting on vital organs... she wants your money.. there is much more profit for her to Implant than to explant!

Regarding your blog post in January 2018 about breast Implant Illness... I think your last statement should be the focus...clearly, you “do not know!” And, clearly, there are other very educated and skilled surgeons, among the elite in the US, who have seen and believe otherwise, not to mention the 45,000+ women, of all ages, ethnicities, and fitness levels, who have two common threads...breast implants and serious illness! It may also be relevant to point out your seemingly nonchalant statement regarding the severity of related illness of the implants of 30 years ago that “bled.” Let me share a personal footnote here. I will be brief, though I could elaborate much further. My mother was one of the recipients of those Mentor implants following mastectomy. Hers never leaked and were removed, fully intact. She was nearly crippled by them within a very short time following augmentation. There was no explanation for the pain she was in from her arm to the opposite leg. Within a month of explant, EVERY symptom was gone! Yet, to this day, and millions of dollars later (mostly obtained by lawyers in the settlement), doctors simply choose to dismiss what was proven, callously move past it with so-called evidence of non-existence, turning a blind eye to the human evidence of the epidemic proportion of illness related to this common thread - then and now! The new “thing” isn’t a fad. It is quite possibly the same “thing” that led so many others down a path of destruction health-wise some 30 years prior, that was promoted as being “fixed, improved, safe,” once again attributing to dangerous toxicity and even death. Have you considered the fact that the symptoms associated both now and then have changed very little? Could it be the “shell,” not the gel, or a combination of factors including the make-up of these bags of toxic soup, that may be causing this “fad” of searching for, and finding answers to the “mystery illness” syndrome of those who “happen” to have implants? Many of the women experiencing these debilitating symptoms are fit, with clean, healthy lifestyles, and no other link to illness than breast implants. And, the exclamation point on the topic comes when they experience drastic improvement after explant...also with no medical explanation or “scientific” proof. That should be, and is, proof enough, for me personally. I could go further in speaking about the capsules which can and do harbor toxins as well. And, I can cite many reputable surgeons who would disprove, scientifically, the statement regarding no capsule formation at all. But, I will end with this statement: Medicine is a “practice,” and not an exact science, continually evolving, proving and disproving itself eternally. At the end of the day, empathy is appreciated, but, the associated numbers don’t lie. There are lives being destroyed, health being stolen, years being wasted. Please do not take this lightly. Listen to your patients. Listen to “their” evidence. Please listen to those who are experiencing “mystery” symptoms with an open mind as to the root cause and timeline.

I offer the perspective of the spouse of a patient of Dr. Hall-Findlay when I report her and her team were brilliantly professional and skilled. There were no false or out-sized promises, and her advice and guidance was empowering for my circumspect spouse. I observed Dr. Hall-Findlay listening intently to my spouse's many questions; heard responses that were thoughtful, insightful, and must have been informed by decades worth of experience and expertise. I've spoken to other spouses who've had similar surgeries and concluded Banff Plastic Surgery was a sensational choice. I had no intention of leaving this review but when I saw commentators who have never met the surgical and care team proffer condeming reviews—I felt compelled to write this review. I hope you do not allow those so easily given to manufactured online-outrage—and their apparent inability to blush while they anonymously stamp out their uninformed petty complaints—discourage you from choose this doctor as your own. My spouse is demanding and discerning and one who could not be more pleased with their guidance, surgical work, and post-op care.

I read your blog you posted on your website in January 2018 on breast implant illness and it saddens me that you’re saying you don’t think it exists. I’d be interested to see your blog/opinion of Breast implant associated large cell lymphoma (warning on health Canada’s website and FDA) I’m in no way bashing your ability or skill at your trade, but this illness DOES exist and the proof is in the tens of thousands of women dangerously ill, explanting and getting better. I encourage you to urge people to educate themselves and make their own informed decision.

My experience at Dr. Hall-Findlay's office exceeded all my expectations. I visited many surgeons before meeting Dr. Hall-Findlay. Once I met with her, the experience and treatment was an entirely different level than any other plastic surgeon office. After meeting her, I ended up cancelling any other consultations I had booked. Dr. Hall-Findlay taught me so much about my procedure. It was clear to me that she wants her patients to know as much as possible about their procedure, have realistic expectations, and are made well-aware of what to expect and pre- and post-op. When I met with other surgeons, I was basically told that I could have any kind or size of implant I wanted, and they did not take into account my body type or my lifestyle. It was so refreshing to have Dr. Hall-Findlay tell me exactly what my body could handle for breast implants, and she was able to show me almost exactly what I could expect them to look like. I also did not know how important it was to share the same aesthetics as your surgeon. I feel like I could have so easily ended up with the wrong size of implant, and could have had all sorts of complications I am now witnessing some of my friends go through who went with other plastic surgeons who agreed to go with implants that are much too large. I am now 2 months post op. I often email her office with random questions that come to mind and I am always responded to within an hour, and with the most thorough of answers and advice. I know that my relationship and care did not stop once my surgery concluded.
