If it was possible to give 0 stars then that would be what I would give. Not only do they over charge. But, for out of town clients they still will ignorantly charge a $50 fee for a missed appointment. Fair you may say. Well being almost 2 hrs away, if the weather turns, driving can literally be taking your own life in your hands, or someone else's. Even calling the night before your appointment or even 12 hrs prior to does not warrant a reprieve in this charge. Now their policy seems to be blacklisting their clients if they supposedly make to many cancellations. God forbid that we are in a pandemic or having the strangest weather in over 50 years. Let's really be ignorant and snottily inform our clients that they are no longer welcomed in our establishment. Terrible employees. Terrible business!...in response to your tired try to respond to what I've written. 2 times. Over 8 months were there cancellations. The third call was made at 6pm the night before. Due to a freak snow storm with snow mixed with sleet. Sorry I didn't choose to drive the following morning to get to the appointment. So sorry that your staff didn't find time to reschedule someone else to fill my spot. So so sorry that you decided to blatantly tell me when I called to reschedule that I was no longer welcomed. Be aware any new and current clients that you will be cancelled if you don't play her game. Also, if you live out of town, try peace river or even make a trip to edmonton. The staff at other optometrists seem much nicer and more accommodating than here. Oh, also, just over 8 years as a client. Obviously that doesn't matter. So, no worries. Myself, my husband and our children will no longer spend our money at your business. My my, seems I'm not the only one who is angered. Question is, why are you so angry. Not a very professional response. Seems to me that you seriously need to see a therapist regarding your anger issues. Spin your response however you can, you're still in the wrong. And whoever your citing to validate your argument, that's not me or my family. Try again. Also, your business must be lacking in clients since your finding time to respond to my review. Many many times. Seems to me that you value your money than the safety of your clients and the people in the community. Again, since you missed it the first time, I will not drive in dangerous conditions to make an appointment. I value my life and everyone else's. If you're incapable of agreeing to that and changing your policy to accept weather conditions then that's on you and was the reason why the 2 appointments were cancelled. Also, blacklisting a person after 2 missed appointments, which were called and rescheduled without any issues, is quite an extreme response. And considering how you have responded to this review, you've certainly shown that this choice is not out of the realm of possibility with you. You've shown your true colours. Now stop responding and go do your job. Your coming off badly in this.

I was an out of town patient. After driving 45 minutes from our vacation spot (near Kinuso) to Slave Lake to see a sign that said "no walk ins - by appointment only" we called from outside. I had a ruptured blood vessel in my eye (turns out it was nothing serious, it looks far worse than it is) I found the staff to be friendly; helpful; and accommodating. Further I found the doctor to be genuine; caring and very experienced. She performed a complete++ eye exam and provided advice for future eye checks. Thank you so much for seeing me on a moment's notice! I only wish you also had a practice in St Albert, where I would certainly become a regular patient!

Dr. Eve is one of the best...she was very highly rated by a top eye specialist out of Edmonton and I concur with that specialist's findings. K. Moore and D. Kahut.
