I have been blessed to find "Home Instead" when my mom-in-law was very sick. Brent and his care team came to help me within an hour of my phone call. I don't know what i would have done without their help. They helped me until last moment of my mom-in-law's life. They are very professional, trust worthy, loving, and caring. All of their care givers are special individual. I thank all ladies and manager Brent who helped taking care of my mom-in-law. After witnessing how caring staff we had from Home Instead, Edmonton General Hospital long term care unit has elected one of the staff member for a special award. Any body who is looking for senior care, I would highly recommend "Home Instead". Best care giving company who are part of my family now.

Website claims that they are open 24Hrs. So I call to ask a simple question on a Saturday. I get an automated voice mail saying they are not open. I press 1 to get the operator and Lisa answers the phone and cannot answer my question. For a home care/service I found no service and was left with more questions and concerns about the operations of this company.

Hi Shawn, As you know, our friend, Doris has passed away. She was loved by many, was like a mother to me, she will be missed. The last few years were difficult for her at times and care was a challenge for her to accept. I want to thank you for assisting with that, all of the care companions you provided over the years were wonderful. We are especially grateful for Hoda. The genuine love, and kindness, compassion and respect she gave to Doe was truly amazing. Her companionship meant so much to Doris..she and Hoda had a special relationship, Hoda kept Doe strong willed and comfortable right to the end. All of the staff on unit 10Y appreciated the care Hoda provided Doe, always commenting on how wonderful she is with Doe, with encouraging her to eat and making sure she was well nourished. Hoda did everything she could to keep Doris moving and active, and comforted her when she was anxious, and hugged and held her, and loved her…It was always heartwarming to hear Hoda say to Doris, “ You are special lady, you are so smart, you are beautiful, We love you Doe”. Hoda provided support for me as well, always updating me on how the visit went, and what she was a able to get Doris to eat and drink. It was comforting to know that Doe had someone special there to look over her and ensure her care needs were being met.
