Staff are very accomodating
Great staff that really did their best for my partner and had the guts to stop and tell insurance that they had to when inflammation indicated the exercises were causing more damage despite insurance trying to force more and more.
These people are very knowledgeable
The instructors are great. The place is nice and clean. The equipment could be updated.
Hard to find
I am well impressed with this facility. I will come back anytime I am in need! I was seeing Yung for about 1.5 years due to rear ends in the past. I was dealing with back pain for legit 10 years, daily. I learnt soo much from her and my body its incredible. Maybe it helped that I have been doing my own research on my back pain for years prior and was so interested in learning about my body that when I found someone who actually is knowledgeable i gained ALOT from her and the exercises she prescribed me. No matter how much physio someone does, you need to do your own homework at home. Highly recommend this facility.
The best in Ortho and Referrals
Bad. Made me feel like I was wasting his time. After having knee problems for 6 yrs I was finally able to find family doctor and was reffered to Dr. Jeff Robinson. This doctor would not listen to my issues at all. Made me feel insignificant and like I was a waste of his time. Left angry and confused. I still have dibilitating knee pain and it negatively effects my quality of life. The physiotherapy staff however are fantastic .and would highly recommend them.
Really benefited from the expertise here. Not cheap but well worth the expense!
I have attended the clinic for several years for various sports related injuries. I have received excellent treatment and care from Dr Weisner, Dr Otto and Dr Lalani. Ian in the physio department is an expert in his field and Jessica is an amazing massage therapist. This is the only place in Edmonton I will go to for treatment now. They are excellent at following all protocol that has been put into place recently. I also really appreciate the appointment reminders that they send out.
I was seen by Dr Markovich and her resident. They introduced themselves, shook my hand and were pleasant throughout the entire assessment. They explained all processes and steps, answered questions and were realistic with expectations. They took my concerns seriously and were incredibly helpful. The staff were friendly and efficient, and wait time was minimal. They definitely had more insight and knowledge on knees and function than the GPs who told me my knee was "fine". Thank you so much for seeing me!!
Best doctors and physiotherapists in Yeg and surrounding area.
I have been coming here for years. I've never had good luck with my knees as I have broken them repeatedly. However with the careful guidance of the physiotherapists here I have always been able to emerge from each of those injurys stronger and quicker. The physiotherapists take the time to get to know you and to explain your situation and come up with creative excersizes based on your ability. The atmosphere in the clinic is typical of a physiotherapist clinic. I would wholeheartedly recommend anyone to come here as they have always treated me with dignity, high efficiency, and non-judgement.
Best psythiotherapy in town! Thanks Blair. You don't have to be young and sports minded to attend. I'm not either of these
My daughter hurt her knee really bad and they are amazing there for her physo! She's doing much better because of them! Thank you for exallent customer service.
Both the physical therapists and sports medicine doctors at this clinic are doing a fantastic job. I went from being depressed and suicidal to healthy and very happy within four visits. Their knowledge and expertise is impressive and they gave me so much great advice for recovery. I'm forever grateful for the amazing care I recieved at this clinic and will definitely recommend it to any of my friends and family.
The doctor's are amazing here.
The best is when they charge you a full $80/hr when you’re maybe in their 20 mins, not cool considering they have a rate sheet posted at the debit machine for different minutes/hourly rates for physio. The physio therapist I see is pretty good though
Waste of my time and Dr. Jeff Robinson dont want to listen the problem and did quick basic check and said everything looks normal and he has no answer why I have issues and pain. I have left side of my body in pain from shoulder to toe from 4 years and he didnt even check shoulder or ankle and just keep saying no answer why I have pain and issue. Is he specialist or a rap student? Very disappointed. He was just in rush to say good bye. I have pain from 4 years and where ever I went for treatment they treated really nice and checked and helped to feel better but this dr was just acting like I was wasting his time and just making story for pain. Negative remarks
A wonderful, friendly ,simplified and professional treatment center indeed.
Dr Darren Gray has got to be one of the worst doctors I have ever encountered !he has no respect and when you meet him for yourself you'll know what I mean, he's not worth the money he gets paid at all and that's all I'm going to say ...
Great clinic for any sports related injuries
Thank you Dr Ansty and Dr koyo for your thorough assessment and great advice. Keep up the great work.
Blair is the best
Great staff
I had sciatica for over a year and when i got into the GS and saw blair he told me exactly what muscles need strengthening and within a month i was running again! Highly recommend this place
Looking for a physio?? This is the place to go! Amazing staff and treatments.
Great place for people who have special physical needs.
I've been seeing Danielle for physio to do with my shoulder. She's been great and I am greatly appreciative for her help and expertise. Feeling alot better, praising God for that. A great centre for help with any long term pain and discomfort.
I am 14 years old and tore my acl and I thought I would need surgery but with the help of the doctors I didn't need it and I came back stronger than ever
Excellent staff very clean bldg
So grateful to have something like this in our community. The knowledge and support for my daughter has been amazing.
Great place!!! The sports doctors and the physiotherapist are all awesome!!! They know what they are doing there. The staff is also very friendly. I have never been disappointed.
Unfriendly staff
Dr K Anstey not give me solution I have a broken meniscus and a torn ACL and she told me that she does not recommend surgery that I have to do physical therapy for 6 to 8 weeks and I asked her if that was going to fix my knee and she said no, but you could get a second opinion.
Great place if you can ever get through on the phone to make an appointment. Maybe you guys could get a phone system with a call-back feature so that those of us who are gainfully employed can still be productive in our lives.
How many messages does a person have to leave to get a call back??
Best sports doctor's and extremely friendly staff
I've made the mistake of trying other physiotherapy clinics in Edmonton, if you have a sports related injury this is the place to go.
My son's been here a few times due to a knee injury and worked with Linda! she is amazing I recommend anybody who is suffering from any type of injury come and see Linda! The rest of the staff is amazing aswell.
Friendly staff makes the stress of the needle less stressful. Thank you
Dr. Roman Tulis is one of a kind. He takes the time to listen to his patients important information and even the not so important information. He will look into everything and not cut corners. I have to say he is better than any physiatrist I have ever seen. I have not seen any at the glen Sather but elsewhere. He does not shy away from different difficult unique problems. I am actually so grateful I listen to my mom and came to see him. Dr tulis thank you so so so much for restoring hope. I don’t expect miracles but I have hope of better function and a future with answers and comfort knowing I am heard and someone is on my team. I would highly recommend this Dr. .
Review on physiotherapist Isabel Aldrich-Witt In my 8 years of personal training I have not come across a more knowledgeable and applicable physiotherapist in Edmonton. I would highly recommend Isabel to anyone involved in olympic weightlifting, crossfit, powerlifting, or any other sport for that matter to go in for a movement assessment to figure out what imbalances you(probably)have and get them dealt with ASAP to prevent any future injuries and/or rehab any current injuries. Isabel has been practicing physiotherapy at the Glen Sather clinic for just under 1 year but has more movement and exercise knowledge than physios who have been practicing for 10+years. I will happily send any client/friend/family member to her for years to come.
I have been a patient of Steve D's for about 2 years now. I was so happy with his massage therapy skills, that I followed him from his previous workplace to the Glen Sather Clinic With my extensive treatments for head and neck cancer during my childhood, I deal with long term side effects now...mainly, radiation fibrosis in the neck. Steve is excellent with providing back and neck relief, but especially in the shoulders. I have tried out many different massage therapists for deep tissue massages out of province. It has been very frustrating. I was never thrilled with what they could offer for me. Go and see Steve today! Money well worth it. He is highly skilled and I couldn't be happier with him. Great guy and therapist.
I was referred to Glen Sather clinic by my family doctor. My initial is scheduled mid September and the appointment is for October 9th. I get a call telling me that I've been rescheduled October 29th at 10:00 I make note of this but receive no confirmation email/instructions like I initially did, so the day of the appointment I call and verify but I'm told my appointment is "Tuesday at 10 am". Again, I recieve no confirmation/email/phone call. So with such late notice, I am required to use vacation time with work to be able to make it. I show up for my appointment at 945 and I'm told I missed my appointment on Friday and I can rebook for November 26th. It's interesting the clinic can charge people for missing an appointment. Is anyone going to quantify the effort and vacation time I used? I'm not administrative assistant, but is there really no appointment confirmation process in effect? For such a "high volume clinic" this is unbelievable. But at least I was offered another appointment a month from now.
The physiotherapist I met did her job but honestly, I didn't like her attitude. I've never bought into the "if I have 'character' I have license to act as I please" attitude and I'm not about to start now. The therapist was explaining my treatment plan with me when she walked into another stall and using a loud voice people can hear I think she called me a "complete dud" or something. Well, off course I don't know as much as you do. If I did, I would be the physiotherapist and she'd be the patient, right? What's up with the attitude?
Beautiful, Dr Glasgow was great
Went to see my knee surgeon. Was there for 3 hours for just a 20 minute face time with him. So kinda disappointed. Glad I took the day off instead of doing a half day
Received no extra info from my family doctor, just your back won't recover as fast as hoped keep doing physio its been 7 months. Very discouraging.
Waited 40 minutes just left my appointment was at 12 But they want 180 to assess you Plus 80 for treatment
This place is a joke
If I could give this place a zero, I would. I receive better quality treatment from physiotherapy (e.g. Propel Physio or ATHX). I think your experience will depend on which doc you get pulled out of the hat. My doctor was rude (kept interrupting me), condescending (didn't even want to look at the notes I had written, which I wrote to ensure I didn't miss anything), and it became obvious the doctor didn't know much about my sport or how we train. I didn’t get anything more out of the doctor than what I got from physio months ago. I have been doing the very exercises suggested by this doctor with limited results for months! That's why I waited to see a specialist. The doctor didn’t listen and I felt judged. The doctor didn’t even want to bother showing me the MRI results (paid for by taxpayer money) as ‘the computer froze but they're fine, nothing to be concerned about’. I had to remind the doctor at the end of the appointment if we could look at them. The images were shown to me on the screen as if I knew what to look for. I had to ask "is this supposed to be black?". No explaining done or relating the sections of the written report back to the images. I started reading the written report in the elevator after and there is terminology I don’t understand that concerns me. If you get an MRI report - have your physician go through each section with you and point out on the images what they refer to. I have no idea now and am left trying to google what things mean. Worse, a friend in my sport advised I see a different doctor who he sees at GS with much more knowledge in our sport who he says is wonderful. I called back to book with this doctor and the referral coordinator, who was shockingly short with me on the phone, stated ‘if you want to see a different doctor, you must go back to your current doctor and explain why and hopefully he/she refers you’. Why? ‘That’s our process’. I had to to tell her I felt uncomfortable doing that and she asked who my doctor was. I asked if if telling her would remove the requirement to re-visit my originally-assigned doctor and she said no. So of course, to protect myself, I said no! The referral coordinator literally said "if you don't like our process, you can go to a different clinic". What a treat! I am at least thankful I'm not so apathetic in my own career. Hopefully you guys have a better experience than I did, but I am going to be pursuing other options (not that they even care, as the lady said to me "that's fine, you go ahead!"). Awful.
This place is a joke. I recommend not going here. Dr.s are high on themselves and dont care for the patients. I can get the same treatment by looking up excersize and doing it myself. In an hour session i spent a total of 20 minutes in intervals waitting for the therapist to come back. Money wasted!
I have been going to the clinic for just short of a year for physiotherapy (seeing Sid). All of the exercises given to me have been tailor-made to suit my specific needs. Sid has helped me so much and I can't thank him enough. I've gone from tearing my ACL, being on crutches, preparing for surgery, and now dancing again. I can't recommend this clinic enough.
I have been visiting this clinic for over 3 years for massage with Jessika. She is attentive to any issues I'm having, and has always been able to effectively target any problem I've had. She has been great at putting together a plan to tackle any issues, and is always willing to share her knowledge. Love my experience every time I visit. In this time, I've also accessed the physiotherapy services with Blair for some issues related to running. The source of my injury was not easily identified, so I hadn't had much success in treating it with other physios in the city. Blair did such a thorough and fantastic job in helping me not only treat the injury, but also prevent it from reoccurring. Every appointment had new exercises that helped me improve.
The Sports Medicine Dr. was decent. She did a referral for an ultrasound and also advised me to see a Physiotherapist at the clinic. I had to call twice this afternoon and was on hold twice. The first time was 15 minutes, and I still couldn't get through. I then called again later and was on hold for over 20 minutes. When I finally got through, I was appalled that the receptionist was so rude and impatient, and didn't have 5 seconds while I brought up my phone calendar yet again after having been on hold for so long. Upon mentioning that to her, she snappily replied they were short-staffed. Well, that is not my fault and I would suggest this persnickety little 'B' smarten up and change her attitude. This is supposed to be a top-notch clinic, so it doesn't fit to have such shoddy service. Were it not for the Dr. recommending that I see a physiotherapist there, I would not return. And if I encounter that snotty little receptionist when I go for Physio., I will never book there again.
I’ve seen a good therapist on my own for a few years with good but temporary results. Finally was referred to a specialist at the Glen Sather clinic who insisted the lack of permanent results I had been seeing was because I wasn’t being treated in house. Seen a therapist for my first session well pleasant a 30 second phone call would have given me the same result as I was given literally one exercise every second day and continue what the specialist had told me to do that’s what a hundred plus bucks gets you I suppose. On to my second appointment we’re they were happy to take my money the second I walked in. I have been sitting here nearly an hour and have not been seen yet so far a complete and total waste of my time and money not a happy camper at this point.
Specialists are great to work with
Knowledgeable therapists and they challenge us as we progress. And the learning is acquired.
Highly recommended. Staff is very knowledgable, Will explain you why they are choosing specific treatment or exercise.
The doctor here ruled out what I was told was osteoarthritis, it was a ligament tear. It was impressive to see the fast diagnosis and x rays onsite. They really know their stuff here. Highly recommended.
