I would like to change my previous review.... There is a dr in this clinic with not a great bedside manner in which I used to be connected with. My nurse has now connected me with two of the most beautiful and caring drs I could have ever asked for. One hundred percent they go above and beyond to help me, from my therapist to my nurse to all professionals I seek there they are wonderful human beings who have been there for me when I needed it most. My community nurse was there for me like no other she came to court sat in the room and spoke for me so that my family could see I have been doing what I say I do. I am an opioid dependence program patient and without these people I would be nowhere Right down to the people that check you in to all the nurses and staff, this place is a life saver!

I went in for my Pertussis vaccine one night and met the most wonderful nurse in my entire life! Her name is Christine Kim. She understood my terror of needles and helped me through the process. She also informed me about other resources available to me as a patient. She took the time to listen and relate to my matter. She was so friendly, it almost felt like I was talking to a friend. Now if I have to get shots done, I will want her as my nurse!

Helpful staff, generally friendly. Great paediatricians judging by the two I have seen. Wait time in lobby generally short. In the doctors room wait can be a bit long. But hey, kids can take extra time to convince them to work with you. If you can get in, do.

Went in to see Dr. Derrick Chan. I needed some blood tests (one of them is to test if I'm diabetic) he said he would call if there's any problems.. There was no call back so I assumed I am fine. I had another blood test done a couple mths later for another purpose only to find out that my hemoglobin is high and I'm at risk for diabetes. Information that Dr. Chan should've have known and contacted me. I had to fine out from another source. I am not pleased with Dr. Chan's work. He failed to tell me my results and didn't do his job. I would not recommend him.

Booking an appointment was atrocious. The booking person couldn't locate me in the AHS database although I have consistently been a resident of Alberta since 1987. There was a huge language barrier, and I had to spell out every word and hear her spell it back to me one letter at a time. She gave me an appointment six weeks away. I called Shaganappi and got in the same day. I would never attempt to go here again.

I hate to give this type of reviews but i have been a patient with this clinic for so many years. It’s time to open up and complain about my family physician who always sees me for a minute or less. He gave me a doctors note with my condition written on it and i know for sure he shouldn’t be allowed to write my condition there. Always tries to rush me when I’m there. If i go here i always try to see nurse practitioner who actually see me for quite some time and are empathetic. I have been asking them to help me find a new family care clinic and they’ve been delaying it for the past five years…. Like wth. Overall, the experience with this doctor i have been seeing has been really bad.

I recently took my son to the Public Health Clinic in East Calgary Centre, and had a really bad experience with one of the nurses. We got there and checked in for our appointment, and went to the waiting room. We sat and waited for 30 minutes before the nurse came over. She came and asked us what we were there for, and my spouse and I told her we were there for a vaccine for our son. She proceeded to tell us that we only had a 10 minute appointment booked, so she wasn't sure why were there. She asked us to come into her room/office, and we took a seat. She then asked us what vaccine we were there to get, and I seemed to think it was the meningitis vaccine, and she seemed confused. She then told me, and asked me why he would need that and I told her that was what I was told he was getting. She then asked us why our son was 9 months old, and getting his 6 month shots. Long story short, my son has had 2 UTIs since getting his 2 month old vaccines, and gastroenteritis twice as well. We decided to postpone, not that it was any of her business and then told us that none of that was in her file and that if he had a reaction it would be in her file. Then she went out of the room for 10 minutes trying to figure out what vaccine he was supposed to get. My spouse and I were ready to leave, as we drove across the city for nothing if he didn't get his vaccine that day. She came in and then told us he was going to get his dtap vaccine, and asked us if we were fine with administering it. I was upset that we didn't get the sheet to explain everything, and that he didn't get weighed or checked for height but I said yes. We did the vaccine, and then she said that I should go to the drop in class in the northwest to learn more about the vaccines. I am really disappointed, and won't be going back there.

Went for a follow up appointment after the birth of my son. Saw nurse Lindsay and she was amazing! She took her time to ask questions, made us feel comfortable and was very thorough and cared. We had a follow up appointment to check my babies jaundice level the next day and we saw nurse Danielle and she was just as amazing. She answered all our questions, made us feel comfortable and relaxed and was very helpful with the information she provided. Thank you to those 2 nurses. You are greatly appreciated!
