Awful place with no regard for patient care. Had an appointment with Dr Hendricks for several months, I get a call a few days before my appointment form the clinic stating that the Dr has changed her mind and is no longer accepting new patients. They made me wait for several months than cancelled with an oh well. Extremely unprofessional behavior for the health industry. Very disappointed with their dismissive non caring attitude.

PRO: The doctor that I am seeing is the most knowledgeable doctor that I have encountered. Dr.Hadi Abdul. I have now made her into my regular family doctor. The drive for me is quite far but worth seeing a knowledgeable doctor. CON: The wait times are abnormally long. I had 2 appointments and was unfortunately waiting in the waiting in the waiting room 30 to 40 mins or more both times after my scheduled appointment to get into a room. Being usually 10 mins early for my appointment like I would for any other office was a bit pointless. It was similar to going to a walk in clinic without an appointment. I am not exactly sure why there is such a long wait time to see the doctor when you have an appointment booked. Or what the point of booking an appointment is if the office attends to them so late after the scheduled time.

My first visit to Current was in July 2020 as a walk in and the dr was so amazing I switched to them as my primary Dr. My primary doctor is different from that walk in, but she is the best doctor I have ever had. Being a US immigrant, I was used to subpar medical care, but CMC has been wonderful! The receptionists are not the friendliest and need a bit of a push at times for some things to get done but they have never been rude or unkind to me. The doctors make up for it by far though, and receptionists at other local clinics have been far worse.

My sons needed to see a doctor for a walkin and the RUDE staff said we should have called to book for the walkin because their doctors are leaving the province and they have only 1 doctor available???? Even my family doctor that I have asked to meet and greet with is rude and her staff are rude and unprofessional. I can't trust them with my health at all. I asked for the manager's phone number or a head office phone number to complaint and they kept me waiting for an HOUR on the phone to get the number for me. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND DIGNITY WITH THEIR RUDE STAFF AND UNPROFESSIONAL DOCTORS

This place is absolutely ridiculous. I brought my 20 month old son in to get tested for strep throat since I had tested positive that morning. The doctor did the test but they didn’t have the availability of a rapid test. He told me to call the receptionist for results since “they could forget”. This was on a Thursday and he said I could call Saturday. I call Saturday and she tells me the results will be in on Monday. So I call Monday and the receptionist tells me she can’t twll me anything on the phone except that the report is in. If I would like to see the report I would have to come in. I asked her if the doctor wants to see us or no and she said she couldn’t tell us. So absolutely ridiculous - no other medical clinic deals with reports this way. I asked her if I needed to bring in my son and she said no. So I sent in my husband and after waiting an hour he finds out he needs to bring in my son because the doctor on call was different than the one who saw my son. So basically after 5 days, I still have no idea if my son has strep or no - something that is so urgent and should be treated immediately. This clinic is just out to increase patient visits so the doctors can get paid more. And to add to that - such rude staff. The receptionist was hanging up on me when I kept asking her more questions! Worst clinic ever.

I was treated very well here. Reception listened to what I needed and got me in as a walk in. The doctor I saw was considerate and listened to everything I needed. I had some forms that needed to be filled out and the situation was a bit confusing. They took the time to listen to me and get it done. I appreciate everything they did and would recommend.

The front office are offering the worst customer experience, they have no clue how to treat patients. Been told waiting time is less 30 minuets and it’s already two hours and half and didn’t see any doctor and I’m still waiting. She said first ,one patient ahead of me and now she changed her word to another patient has been booked and if they show up on time I have to wait. So should I wait till the end of the day then ?

Well.. I booked an appointment with a Female Doctor.. Had to wait 2 months + to get in to see her. Then I get a call 2 days ago saying " Sorry, Dr, Hemrick is no longer accepting new patients" THEN WHY BOOK MY APPOINTMENT? I have been searching high and low for a doctor that is female, who understands my needs as a patient and doesn't just rush to get to the next patient and allows me to ask questions about my health. It seems as though most doctors are this way these days and I am struggling to find any doctor that will even see me as a potential patient. I'm just frustrated and wish that I could see a doctor BUT I suppose I will wait a few years until someone in this damn city gets an opening....... :/

Have you ever wonder why they have such a low rating? I was there for 3 hours, got in the room after 2 hours. 1 hour i was waiting in the room and I can hear the doc introduce himself at least 3 times in the room next to mine. Don't go there, their docs get their education by making a back home equivalent degree. They hold the same degree as any other doc but still operate like they dealing with people in 3rd world countries. You can take them out of their 3rd would country but you can't take the 3rd world country out of them. Fyi, I am from a 3rd world country. I moved for a reason but here I am facing the same damn issue.

Booked a meet and greet with Dr. Geambasu for 4.30pm on 6th of March. Arrived on time, filled out the papers given to me. I asked the Receptionist how long the wait time was around 4.45pm and she said I was the next. 5pm she left, and I was still waiting. The other receptionist called me in at 5.10. 5.30pm I was still waiting inside. I came out to complain only to be told the doctor went in to see someone else and that I could schedule another time if I couldn't wait after wasting 1hr of my time. I was too incensed to say anything.

Dr. Samina Hussain is a wonderful doctor, but why do i have to sit on hold for longer than ten minutes every time i call. Ive even called while in the parking lot during covid to announce i had arrived. I was on hold for almost ten minutes, looking through the window, no one was on the phone or at the desk, why are people waiting so long on hold or not getting answered at all?

Always had to wait for 20-30 min beyond my appointment before I can see the GP. One of the females GP is so rude and never provided me with sufficient information. There was one time that she even missed something on my prenatal requisition form and I had to come in to get the new requisition form again. Service is extreme poor. Switching GP and clinic.

I have a regular doctor, who was away when I needed to see her, so I went here for a walk in appointment. I was in and out within 30 minutes, so that was nice. The staff were professional and courteous, not over friendly, which was fine. I saw Dr. Reggie Wawrinchuk, who was very professional, asked detailed questions and explained what my symptoms were in detail. The office is a little bit dated, which is the only negative I had on my visit. This was my first ever walk in appointment and I was pleased with the service I received.

I booked a meet and greet with dr Arfani and at the day of the visit we had a death in our family (my father in law) because of Corona. When I tried to reschedule to meet her, Dr. Arfani INSISTED on paying her $50 per each family member who did not come to the meet and greet (a total of $150) even when I offered to show her the death certificate. She said I should have called 24hrs to let them know that I am not coming. So basically I should have known that my father in law will day 24 hours before he died to inform them ??? ridiculous, rude, unprofessional and not trustworthy. She is a clear example of doctors who are after the money but not the humanity in their profession. I am raising this to AHS as well.

Never wrote one of these before, but after yesterday's experience I feel I have to. I consider myself a very healthy adult male. So much so I have not needed a family doctor in the time I have lived in edmonton(5 years). A recent turn of events had myself in emergency a few days prior with a bad sport fall on my knee. After having x rays done at emergency, I was told I would need to consult a a family physician and create a game plan to heal my leg. Naturally one calls the closest doctors office and sets up an appointment to finally have a doctor. The appointment was at 10 am, yet I was unable to see the doctor until well after 11 am. Annoying, but seeing as I can't work, I had nothing but time. The reason I am writing this however is because doctor(s?) here don't have access to person's medical files. They have the computer systems in place, but the doctor(s?) won't pay for the user fee to have access to ones files. I literally only went there because of my knee, and said doctor couldn't acess my x rays, or my medical history. This technology has been out since at least 2005, as I had x rays done then(yay for sports) and doctors from different cities could see my file... The staff is super friendly, and the doctor is nice, hence the reason I'll give 2 stars instead of one... Just no. What is the point of having a family doctor, if a person ends up in the hospital and then your own doctor can't have access to what happened?! I feel this place has potential, but until this office gets onboard with modern times, I can't recommend this to anyone.

Worst place and worst experience. My mom was travelling and visiting us and was on travel insurance. The normal feel as seen with other clinics is $50 however this clinic charged her $175. As per the process, there needs to be some documents that needs to be signed by the physican for the claim for reimbursement. I did mention that to the doctor and informed him that I will be coming back in a day or 2 with those documents. He said no problem. Now when I went back (my mom was well), the doctor made it look like a follow up visit (not mentioned before) and charged us another $100. The doctors in other clinic a charges $20 flat however this is being a special clinic have special rates. Never ever going back. I got my expenses covered and paid back however thinking about others do don't have any insurance, it's a big expense. Definitely in NO way has my recommendation!

Came here with my son for a walk in. The walk in starts at 5 we were the 1st one here at 4:45 and a hour and half has past and other people have been called in that arrived after us. If I was able to do half a start or 1/4 star I would as this is ridiculous. They need to be more staffed as 1 dr and 1 receptionist also the acting nurse. The doctors are good but I had a terrible experience today. I called 4 times today trying to get a prescription filled. I went to a walk in doctor a few days ago and she put the wrong dosage on the prescription, and I needed the new dosage for my insurance to pay for it. They kept saying they would call me back and then when I tried calling again they were already closed (early). Now I have to pay out of pocket or I will have no medication for tomorrow. Absolutely ridiculous.

Terrible reception lady my wife irfana had a severe headache on Sunday we rushed to the clinic told the reception lady that she can not sit due to the severe headache we need to see doctor right away this is emergency she said ok sit and wait she didn't informed any doctor about our emergency and after 35 minute sitting down I said we are leaving and your waiting system doesn't work for us she said i don't need to be rude when I said your attitude is rude she started yelling and we left the clinic to go to another doctors clinic they took us in right away and she was treated well, next day same situation happened and we end up in grey nuns emergency I wish this clinic hire people who understand some medical things like emergencies

The front staff is rude and unprofessional. It is absolutely inappropriate that they shout your personal information across the desk when checking you in and require you to shout back your reason for visiting as they sit at a desk far away from the counter. This is a serious privacy violation that needs to be addressed. Why are they not discreetly checking people in? I’m sorry but I don’t want the entire waiting room and people waiting in line to know my address and reason for appointment.

I have a family doctor, but it is a far drive from my home so i save it for important stuff. I use this clinic as a walk in one, and I have always been seen by Dr Liu. He doesn't take on patients (which is a shame) but he is the best. The only doctor to ever take their time and ask important questions and investigate. He has always investigated my complicated health issues superbly, and even gotten me referrals my normal GP or neurologist couldn't. Always beyond impressed. All the comments about the front staff are usually right. However there is a young indian woman who works the front and she is super lovely. I didn't catch her name. Always polite and nice. For everyone complaining about not getting in right when their appt time is, they obviously don't understand how clinics work. Doctors could have 3 people walk in 15 minutes before you who need stitches, or other urgent care. Those come first. Same thing happens at Optometrists. Or any other health care provider of that nature.

The only reason I decided to come to this medical clinic was because my GP left premier medical clinic and I needed to find a new family doctor. Premier clinic and this clinic seem to share their doctors and the only available after 4 PM appointments was at this clinic. Needless to say I waited 45 minutes post my appointment. I was put into a room that smelled bad!! I decided to leave without seeing a doctor and then came back because I couldn’t handle the smell after I had waited that long.I told medical aids the room smelled and all they did was bring an air freshener to spray the room. The doctor told me she was upset that it happened like that and that she had spoke to the front end staff. She also said that they put walk in clients ahead of me. I waited a month to get this appointment! Needless to say I won’t be returning even though the doctor seemed like she would be someone I could have as a family doctor. I wouldn’t want to come to this clinic every time I needed to see the doctor.

I wish there was an option to give 0/5 stars. To start off, this clinic promotes that they take in walk-ins. I went in two days in a row and both days they did not take me in. Not sure why they accept walk-in's if they can never take them, it is ridiculous. On top of that, the receptionists are absolutely rude. Have an attitude while you talk to them and make it seem like it is a chore for them to help you out. Would not recommend this clinic to anyone and would rather drive 20 minutes to millwoods to go to the clinics there.

The front staff is lacking any decent communication skills. They are quick to find any excuse in the book to justify their inefficiencies and disorganization. Typically customer services is open to feedback in order to improve. No such impetus here. No clear system for walk ins/prebooked apps. While waiting for an hour to see a dr. there were several other people who were given misinformation about their appts. The doctors here should be asking themselves how front staff is affecting their reputation in the community.

I made an app before ahead a week and it is for meeting and greeting pediatrician reference. I brought my baby and 3years son! My app was 10am and I ran out without seeing a doctor until 11am!! The doctor even not shows up after 1 hour later or apologize.. And 1 hour later I asked at the front lady how long I supposed to wait more? Because 3years old boy and new born baby are hard to keep them up stay and waiting.. She anwers the doctor accepts walk in other clients!!! After a very disappointing and rude experience with the receptionist at Westend Callingwood Medical Clinic, I called Current Medical Clinic to ask for walk in availability and headed over. The receptionists here were super friendly and helpful and I was in and out of the clinic in less than 15 minutes. Will start coming here more often now!

Sunday walk in is not as busy I guess. We got in quickly. The front receptionist/assistant is very accommodating and smiling, the doctor called her while we were waiting, when she got back she apologized quickly. If I get it right, her name is Arlyn. Anyway, not bad at all.

I went in as a walk in for a doctors note because my regular family doctor couldn't get me in for a few days and I needed the note for work the next day. This was close to my house so I decided to stop in there because the Dominion walk in usually has long wait times. The doctor I saw was patronizing and, overall, awful. He lacked any bedside manner and kept repeating himself over and over about how I should see my family doctor (even though I said I wasn't able to get an appointment in a reasonable amount of time) and refused to write a doctors note. Long story short I will never return and would never recommend this clinic to any of my friends because of the lack of professionalism displayed during my visit. I've never left a doctors office on the brink of tears from a doctor chastising me for needing a doctors note before.

Normally do not leave reviews but am very upset over my experience here. I saw Dr. afani (I believe her name is) once for a meet and greet and she was incredibly rude and basically told me I need to fast AKA starve myself all day to lose weight when I was trying to tel her I have chronic pain and weight gain / inability to lose weight is part of it!!! I was also going to her for mental health concerns which is when she decided to book another appointment to do a mental health assessment which is fine but 2 days before my appointment I got very sick and called to cancel and was on hold for 30 mins to cancel my appointment and to my surprise I got a letter in the mail to my old address not too long ago saying I owe $100 for a no show!!! I’m not sure if they tried contacting me at all because I had to change my number about 2 months after my initial appointment but wow.

The staff at this medical clinic was very unprofessional. Their lack of consideration for patients clearly showed that they were either unhappy at they workplace or customer service wasn't their priority. My experience started with a 15 minute at the front desk where three medical office staff all working the main desk refused to acknowledge my existence. After 15 minutes When I was finally addressed by a grouchy Medical office assistant,I wasn't greeted rather asked "why I was there"... Literally just like that. After my information was collected, I was told that I would have to wait for an hour. Almost 30 minutes in. Upon asking I was told the Dr just came and I'd need to wait another hour this time only increased. In totally we waited for 2 hrs. The issue isn't the wait, rather Just how it was communicated and the cold attitude of the front line staff. For any one in the Southwest. There are other options of better service with walkin clinics. Try the Windermere Plaza just above this facility or Parsons road Medical clinic ( this clinic is a little further but the staff is welcoming and accommodating). I only came here as its is closest to my home. I'll just say that is rather drive for 20 minutes to Parsons and get better care there. This is my first negative review I've written for any facility... Theres a reason why this place is getting 2.0 point rating. They deserve even less.

One of the worse medical clinics in Edmonton! I get told to bring in my son to see a Dr. so he can get a referral, she will not book an appt with our family dr. but to just come in and see a different dr. (there will be no wait). I find out while I am there that my Dr. is retiring so I try and book some meet and greets with the Dr. taking over and I get told that she can not do more than 3 meet and greets in a day as it is way too many for her and she gets exhausted.. WTF?? If a Dr. can not handle saying hello to a couple family members then something needs to be done. I see over 50 customers a day in my line of work and I do NOT get a paid a Doctors salary nor do I complain. These Dr's are too damn lazy! We need new doctors who are eager to actually be a GOOD doctor and please get some new staff as most of them are so rude and ignorant!

These people are just trying to make money by forcing people to come in and see the doctor for basic information. We thought our 1 yr old might have got strep throat so we went to the clinic to get him checked. A test was done but the clinic refused to give the results. My wife just wanted to know the results of the test on the phone but they refused. They informed us that we can come to clinic and pick up the report. After confirming with them that my son does not need to come in to clinic again they refuse to give me the test result when I physically showed up as the doctor working at the time wanted to see my son again before giving me the results. Wth. We dont even think my son had strep throat as he started acting fine after we got the swabs done but these people are ridiculous.
