Dr. Henschke is the best! He was my doctor at another practice but when he moved I followed, despite the new location being much further from my home. He’s always kind, patient, and understanding. I always leave feeling taken care of. The receptionsists are always friendly and warm as well! By far my best experience at any clinic.

Very very bad experience....least bothered about patients.....and i am writing this after evaluating almost after 2.5 years......i do understand systems are slow.....we have been seeing Dr. WEIR.....and most of the times referrals are delayed....never reach the specialists.....we almost have similar experience with everyone in our family......particularly recent months have been very very bad....test results...they never bothered to inform or take action...i ended up in emergency and got required treatment......how can a doc be so negligent.

It's a very clean open and welcoming clinic, save for space seating you're most likely called in before it gets full ( from what I've seen) there is a wheelchair accessible door, mini kids play area and all the staff and doctors are very patient and kind. Parking can be tricky but it's free and across the street is a easy place to fill prescriptions should they been needed.

Always brand new reception worker.. never answer things clearly and have a shaky voice.. unfriendly too.. doctor are brand new. From school.. i don't know.. I been there twice.. I wouldn't recommend... if clinic read might respond back... whatever just don't waste time there. Its not about human.. just feel werid..

It’s so great feeling like I’ve finally found a family doctor I actually LIKE! The doctors here are all great as I’ve seen a couple through their walk-in option, which is also great that they offer. There’s a few receptionists who aren’t the friendliest but that doesn’t change how happy I am to have found a convenient, nice, clean Clinic with great doctors.

Very very rude staff. We went in for our appointment today and they claimed to have left a voicemail cancellation of the appointment but there are no messages on our VM. I’m definitely not going to give them my family’s business in the future. So disappointed as a new resident to the city how people can be so rude. Not to mention they have masks but won’t give us one when mine had a broken strap. Sad what this world is coming to.

After going to several clinics in the city, I landed on this one accidentally as I needed a walk in clinic, and it turned out to be one of the best clinics I have ever been to. Dr. Ng who was the doctor on walk in duty that night was so kind and thorough, knowledgeable and asked questions, did not rush me and assured me I was going to be okay. I was later assigned Dr. Shibatta, who is now our god-send family physician. She LISTENS, assures and also explains things in a clear non condescending way and with utmost empathy. She is very thorough and seeks to give her patients the best care ever. I know that these two doctors are a reflection of all the physicians on the team. I also like that the clinic sends text and email reminders to patients. The nurses and front desk are also amazing, and patient. Thank you for all that you do especially during these COVID times. Another plus on this location is it's proximity to village ice cream. :)

I use this clinic as a back up when I can’t get into my regular Gp. But should I need to switch, I would definitely make the move here. The staff are friendly, respectable. The clinic is clean. The doctors are friendly and really seem to take the time needed. Would recommend

I just moved to Calgary from Vancouver and am loving every bit of it except for this one. I just popped into this clinic to see if they accept a new patient in my neighborhood. The receptionist I talked to who had tattoos on her arm literally made me turn around. I don't know if she was having a bad day or if she did not like my mask or something but she was the coldest person I have ever met since I moved here so far. I am not sure why she thinks being rude is going to bring more patients to her clinic or they simply don't care. Good Luck

Can't say enough good things about Britannia Medical. From the atmosphere, staff, nurses, and doctors, this clinic makes a very comforting environment to be at when you aren't feeling yourself. My family and I have been going to this clinic for over a year with Dr Matt Henschke as our family doctor. He has always been amazing with our son who is 2, as well as I going through a pregnancy and my husband with knee problems. Henschke always shows his concern and is always respectful to make sure we don't feel like we are not getting help no matter what. Also if you can't see your family doctor right away, the staff makes sure you can see another one of their amazing doctors ASAP.

I was happy to find this clinic initially for myself and my newborn, it is new and clean. However, this morning my scheduled appointment was cancelled for the second time in a row, due to Dr. Wier not being in the office. This mornings phone call came 10 minutes before my scheduled appointment, letting me know my appointment was cancelled. Of course, I was already out front of the office with my infant. After we hung up, I decided I'd go in and talk to them in person to see, since we were already there, if there was another doctor who could see us. However, once I was at the door, both receptionists just sat there watching me stand there in -10 with my 4month old. I guess there is an office policy about not opening the doors prior to 9:00 am (It was 8:50) Alas, I phoned them, standing there in the cold and was received with a very unpleasant attitude from one of the receptionists who told me, I could see another doctor in half an hour. Unfortunately, standing around with an infant for another half hour, just wasn't in the cards for us. I am extremely frustrated, and I will be continuing my search for another family doctor here in Calgary. I would not recommend this clinic unless you have time to spare, and don't mind poor customer service.

Very happy with my choice of new primary care physician here at Britannia medical clinic! The clinic is easy to get to, has ample parking and is located next to other great businesses. I was able to get an appointment in a timely fashion (some clinics book out for months). Dr. Nguyen was very thorough, professional, friendly, and attentive to my needs. I was never kept waiting and he followed through with my minor concerns to make sure they were fully addressed. I highly recommend this clinic and look forward to being a long term patient.

Doctors are amazing, but receptionist are not welcoming at all, and overall quite rude. Was not impressed, to the point where I may consider switching offices. They also don’t renew prescriptions through pharmacy’s, you have to go in which is extremely frustrating as I can’t see how that helps anyone. That and every time you go in for an appointment , you end up waiting half an hour even when you’re on time.

I was calling to Clinic today with emergency situation, they said , they busy and fully booked , but If I will wait aprox. 50 min someone will helps me ,I was so happy to hear that, When I was at the clinic they said they don't have time , they were rude during telling that. I said I really need help and you said that someone will helps me, they just conclude ,situation was changed...nom I'm questioning why they didn't tell me that when I was in my way....They were so rude. Sooner or later I'm gonna say bye to this clinic .I will do not recommend this clinic any more. I just want to say, "thank you to these receptionists "

Great experience with Britannia Medical so far. Lovely decor in the waiting room with nice kids play area. Staff is friendly & helpful. I can usually get an appointment within a week. Dr. Duhra has been very good with looking after my baby, and is also very attentive. Finally, the wait is usually not too long to see the doctor once you arrive.

The front office staff are polite and helpful with scheduling, and the doctors/nursing staff seem young but helpful and very knowledgeable. Dr. Ng is so patient and really takes his time with you. The front desk staff generally are good, but the communication could be better and there have been quite a few mistakes made in the last year. Not sure where to begin...First off, the office is beautiful and inviting. It's calming too, quiet and the receptionists are friendly! Dr. Kevin Nguyen was awesome and very thorough. He asked lots of questions and referred me for tests to keep moving forward. Super happy I drove here from downtown. The only walk in clinic I will go to!

I'm not typically one to write reviews, but Britannia Medical Clinic deserves it. Since moving to Calgary, I've been trying to find a Doctor who listens and understands me. When I found Dr. Duhra, I knew she'd be stuck with me from then on. She is very personable, positive and knowledgeable. All the health advice she's given me has worked. The clinic itself is in a trendy area, the decor is beautiful and whenever I've seen someone who isn't Dr. Duhra, they've been just as nice. Would definitely recommend this clinic!

Brand new clinic with a fresh and welcoming feel! We live in the area and we’re looking for a new family doctor for our family. Dr Weir has been very friendly and a great experience so far. They are open on Saturday which works great for those with M-F work week. Also the location of the clinic is great - you can conveniently grab a coffee at Starbucks or the newly opened Monogram after your appt!

First of all, the office looks really nice and inviting. I went in as a walk in because my family doctor didn't have any answers for me, and my symptoms were getting worse. I didn't even have a chance to sit in the waiting room before seeing a doctor. Dr. McHale was awesome and very thorough. She asked all the right questions and referred me for tests to keep moving forward. Super happy I chose to go here!

I am only staying with this clinic because of doctor Weir. It is difficult to book an appointment, some days I try for hours to get through to reception. As someone who needs to see the doctor often, this is a very frustrating thing to deal with. I have even booked an appointment to show up and find that it wasn’t properly booked so I had to wait another couple weeks.

I saw multiple doctors at this clinic with symptoms consistent of cancer and I was brushed off by them. I finally insisted on having images done that I paid for and I was diagnosed with cancer from this. After this I decided to move to a different doctor and was still charged for my medical records. No sympathy from anyone during this time. The staff has always been argumentative and won’t make any sort of accommodations.

Was travelling from out of province, reception was friendly and patient with my questions about accessing clinic services. Wait wasn't very long, just over an hour I believe. Couldn't sit in the waiting room related to my condition and they were nice enough to let me know when someone was available to see me. Dr. Nguyen was really kind and empathetic, gave appropriate treatment and advice that saved me a lot of pain on my trip home. Overall I was really impressed with the care received from the entire team. Thanks a million!!!

Very satisfied! Ashley and Amy warmly welcomed me to the clinic as a 1st time walk-in patient. They were transparent about my waiting options - wait for about 2.5 hours or find another walk-in clinic using an app -. I chose to wait. The ambiance is joyful and peaceful with real plants, good lighting, and fun music. Dr. Z - "zed" not "zee" from my Canadian perspective - was the most thorough family physician I have met in Calgary! I expected the visit to be 5 to 10 minutes, because typically, in my experience, family physicians are rushed, yet Dr. Z took all the time needed to assess me, and to explain and discuss my options moving forward. Resources are also to follow, which goes above and beyond my expectations. As a relatively new resident of the City, I am reassured to know that a knowledgeable and caring practice is right near home. The nearly 3-hour wait is the reason I gave a rating of 4 out of 5, otherwise, I would have rated the clinic 5/5.

The front line staff lacks empathy and service mindedness. Their behaviour and attitude is indifferent and it comes off as being rude. However great the doctors are, if patient facing front line staff behave poorly, it reflects badly on the culture of the entire office.

I got into a car accident when I was 17 weeks pregnant and spent 6 hours in the ER. I was still paranoid about the well being of my baby a few days later and went to Britannia Medical walk in. I saw Dr. Henschke who let me listen to my baby's heart beat and reassured me he was alright.

There are multiple Dr.s, so our kids can always be seen on short notice. Dr.s here all seem to care about the bigger picture, listening to all of our concerns, and often address several issues per visit. Not one issue/visit, like I've experienced elsewhere.

I’ve been going to this clinic for almost 2 years and they are honestly the best! Dr. Duhra is so caring, kind, has excellent judgement and never rushes you. The appointments are always on time and I’ve even gotten in last minute and had walk in appointments and only waited 10 minutes as a walk in. I’ve also seen Dr Forseth and Dr Nguyen when I’ve walked in and they were also very good. So impressed with this clinic! Can’t say enough good things about it. The front desk and nursing staff are lovely as well. The clinic environment is so nice and easy going. They even heated up my husbands lunch since he was missing his break so he could attend an appt with me. Pro tip: get ice cream from Village next door after your appointment.

I have seen my family physician here 3-4 times now. The front staff is inexperienced and not friendly as many previous reviews read. Not once has the doctor initiated small talk to see what is really going on in my life or ask any mental health screening questions. My appointment in 2019 ended with "you're too healthy for an annual physical, so you don't need to come in every year" and a request for a couple specific blood tests was rejected even though I was already getting other bloodwork done. My last appointment was booked for one issue as I told the receptionist on the phone and after discussed with the physician, she convinced me otherwise which I was not fully comfortable with. It was clear the physician did not read my previous history of specialist appointments in the past year, as she did not ask about them or make me know she was aware. I had one more quick question about another issue and the physician told me to book another appointment because she was running about 15 minutes behind. I will not be coming back and was extremely upset when I left. Seems like every time I was here I left upset. When you have an older, more experienced physician, yes, they will be late for almost every appointment you book, even by more than an hour, but when it's your turn all your concerns will be addressed, they will ask about what is new and going on in your life and you will leave satisfied. This has not been a one off issue I have had with this clinic and am considering filing a complaint with their college.

I am utterly disgusted by how my newborn baby and I have been treated today by their very immature front desk staff. I was texted a confirmation of today’s appointment one day ago, and yet the doctor is not here today, yet no text, call or voicemail from their inconsiderate staff. Do you think it’s easy to get out of the house after an emergency Caesarian with my newborn? Apparently it’s my fault for booking an appointment here without reading their many horrible google reviews. I would give less than one star if that option was available. Do better, and fire your front desk staff before your business goes under.

The associates at the front desk aren’t the friendliest, they seem like they hate their job. Every time I have an appointment it’s always at least a 30 minute wait from when your appointment starts until you see the doctor. Besides wasting your time, they don’t do prescription refills over the phone/fax with your pharmacy, your forced to come in and waste more time. Britannia also charges for travel advice, work notes and school forms. The doctors are friendly enough, but do yourself a favour. Find another office rather then here Had another appointment. Still a 20 minute wait past my appointment time

I cannot thank Dr. Nguyen enough for all of the care and kindness he has shown me. When I came to the clinic, I had been dealing with a medical issue for 3 months, and was continually being disregarded by doctors around the city. At my initial visit, I came as a walk-in, and Dr. Nguyen spent more time with me than any doctor had in the past. He was patient, asked insightful questions, and I could feel his compassion towards the issues that I was having. He sent me for some tests and within 3 days of my first visit, I had a diagnosis. In my opinion, Dr. Nguyen is the best doctor in the city, and I feel so grateful to have made the switch. I cannot recommend him enough.

Being in an extreme pain for an ear ache I called ahead to see if I could see Dr. Nguyen (a doctor who I had previously seen before who was amazing). After calls back and forth with the receptionist, who was extremely unhelpful and hung up on me, I decided to walk into the clinic to get some answers after my regular doctor was not able to return my call. When I arrived I was seen by Dr. Matthew Henschke. After providing as much information regarding my situation and medical history he dismissed previous medical advice I had been given by previous doctors. He treated me in a condescending dismissive tone throughout the consultation. In my view, he treated me no different than an addicted person off the street, rather than a patient of the clinic. He admitted he had been told previously he had a condescending attitude towards patients however he still offered no apology to me for his actions. Long story short, as a young woman I will never be back to the clinic. How a patient can go into a clinic in pain and end up in tears because of the verbal abusive actions of a doctor is beyond me.

There really isn't a better clinic in Calgary. I have seen a number of their Doctors over the past year in dealing with a few health issues, and they are incredibly friendly and professional. I've particularly been impressed with Dr. Forseth who has followed up with numerous specialists for me, and has relentlessly pursued any options available to help me out. Dr Durha has also been fantastic for both my wife and son. Great clinic all around, we're so happy to have found you!

The staff was accommodating and friendly and Dr. When helped me more then any other walk in doctor I have seen. My only negative is that the doctors at this clinic are not taking new patients.

This clinic is all around exceptional! The doctors are all very collaborative and patient centred. The office staff are friendly, knowledgeable and always as accommodating as possible. The atmosphere is very inviting, modern and clean. I love that they have so much greenery throughout the clinic! I had a tooth pulled and was prescribed the wrong antibiotic by my dentist, so my gums were becoming infected. I saw Dr. Kiran Duhra and right away, she knew what the problem was and prescribed me the correct prescription oral rinse. My infection healed up right away! Any patient who is fortunate enough to be seen at this clinic, will be well taken care of and very comfortable!

I feel incredibly fortunate to been seen and heard out by the physicians here for my needs and all the staff are friendly and polite in the clinic. Highly recommend this practice, as well as physicians and staff that work here, all are lovely!

This practice is run by young, inexperienced and unprofessional doctors and office staff. I am speaking of the asian doctors in this practice from my experiences. They do not listen to the patient and their concerns. They use biased decision making such as if they do not agree with what you are requesting they decline it for their own personal reasons. Such as a simple request for a doctors letter for work or other issue. The front office staff is rude and unprofessional. Again young and inexperienced. They cannot comprehend a simple request and they constantly ask you "why do you want to see the doctor". That is not your concern I will discuss what I want to speak with the doctor about myself privately. You are a receptionist, just make the appointment that's it. There is also a lack of parking there because of the location. I definitely do not recommend this medical clinic to anyone. Find a more experienced doctors office with professional doctors and staff. The only positive reviews of this office are fake by persons that only have 2 or 3 reviews to their name. What a joke this clinic is. I have had to resort to complaining to the College of Physicians and surgeons on the conduct of these doctors.

Really wonderful Medical Clinic. The space is bright, modern, and beautifully decorated. More importantly, the Doctors are friendly, kind, genuine, and thorough. I am very glad to have found this clinic!

Everyone is super friendly and there’s lots of availability for last minute appointments. It’s also in a convenient location, with lots of parking and an ice cream store next door to bribe the kids to their appointments.

Right from entering you are treated very politely. What a treat to go into a walk-in clinic and actually have people smile at you!!! Short wait time of about an hour - I've waited 3 at some clinics. The doctor was actually very personable, asked lots of questions and I felt like I was heard - A great improvement over my experiences at other clinics. I'll DEFINITELY go back when the need arises.

The reception staff is all very happy, friendly and helpful - a rare experience at medical clinics. The 3 docs I’ve seen were so nice, helpful and empathetic. All good listeners - again, rare. They got me in on the same day I called. I would highly recommend this clinic! They care about people and health. It’s a lovely place to be.

I've seen Dr Henschke a couple of times as a walk in, and he's an amazing doctor. He was able to help me with my back pain and just genuinely a nice guy. He was very personable and helpful. The staff was great too very friendly. I would definitely recommend this clinic and Dr. Henschke.

it is not just asian doctors. receptionist just follow the vibe and orders from the owner. If you know the frontline workers, you know the philosophy and values of the head of that organization. The staff are rude and unprofessional because the owner, Dr Foreth, does not have empathy for patients. He only sees everything from his own experience. I heard from others he is anti social, extremely cold blooded and when your staff see that, you know it is ok to be mimicking and replicating your boss. I don't even know seriously these guys take your problems if it is a life or death situation. Most of the clinics and any professional offices say 'your call is important to us and please leave a message and we will get back to you.' I am not surprised this clinic's phone greeting says 'your message will not be returned.' I am pretty sure this is one of the very few doctor's office that says 'your message will not be returned'. Ive been searching for a clinic for over a year now since I moved from Victoria. Being a very picky person i didn't think I was going to find one anytime soon. When I first called the reception i immediately felt welcome. Dr Henschke has been really great to me and very curtious of my needs. Every time I call reception to book an appointment they are very kind and respectful. Overall a great clinic. 5/5

I’ll echo what others have said: the receptionists can be really short and unhelpful both on the phone and in person. To be fair to them, it’s always pretty busy with walk-ins and appointments, but I still think they could stand to be a bit more cordial. The fact you can’t book appointments any way other than calling is pretty behind the times, and probably adds to reception being a bit prickly. With all that said, the doctors are fantastic. Helpful, professional, and friendly.
