All patients who have been suffering with pain We need to take the medical personal to court. This is inhumane and making patients suffer goes against their ethics The only way to change this is to go to courts Being a doctor does not mean they have the power. Doctors are not helping patients my doctor blames the college. The college is looking at a class action lawsuit Change you policy or you will be taken to court. A person's medical records are their own legal property. By you raiding doctors offices and taking people's private medical records, and even going so far as to photocopy them is absolutely unacceptable. And not only that it's against the law! I see a massive lawsuit coming your way in the very near future.

What you guys have done to my doctor is absurd, he is the most professional and passionate doctor I have ever met. I will follow up every day until you guys return my call or email. They took the side of the doctors without providing a hearing based on the doctor's word vs mine. How many other people can relate? They also either on purpose or mistakenly relayed the details of my complaint in correlation to the doctor's version of things back to me. I never really anticipated anything but how they dealt with it. I knew it would be the doctor's word vs mine. The doctor perpetuated the lies and got away with it. And CPSA behaved cowardly by simply not just telling me that I could not prove doctor was lying but rather tell me I was wrong and they believe the doctor's version of events.

I am very disappointed with the college cutting back what Doctors can prescribe for pain patients. I suffer extreme pain due to arthritis. I have had numerous surgeries that have helped specific areas, but the surgeons say they can't do anything else for my back pain. I go to the pain clinic for shots. They don't work for more than a week. I have never taken anything stronger than Tylenol 3, and now my Doctor can't give it to me anymore due to your ridiculous rules. What? You think seniors are going to go out and get heavy street drugs? No, they just suffer! Life wrecked due to your dumb rules.

Very disappointed in the CPSA. I broke my back and had nerve damage in my left leg, I have not been able to move my foot in 8 years. Through hormone replacement and alternative medicine i'm now functional and and can live a normal life. ALL the SURGEONS, NERVE so called SPECIALIST, told me that it would never rejuvenate but pump myself with prescription pain killers and anti-depressants. The only type of medicine that helped me was hormone and alternative and now taking away my Doctors ability to practice medicine. If it doesnt make them a profit they will shut. Keep charging more tax, keep pushing more prescriptions.

The College is pushing doctors and the local pain clinics to lower patient’s pain medications to excessively lower doses in hopes of curing addiction-- wake up, this tactic never works and it simply pushes people to medicate with street drugs when they get sick and the pain is unbearable for the patient to cope. The doctors who run this organization never learned from the crisis caused from taking away Oxycodone and now people are dying from Fentanyl overdoses; why don't you learn from past experience? By cutting doctor's prescription for opiates from 200 to 90 mgs is wrong and you will kill people by pushing them to buy illegal drugs--way to go, guys! It doesn't take a doctorate to use common sense. The most inhumane and unethical thing that the College does is forcing people, against their will into yearlong pain clinics, where the end goal is nothing more than to lower everyone’s opiate medications to the equivalent of 90 mgs of morphine; anyone who’s on social services is coerced into going because they are told that if they don’t fully cooperate then they will lose their monthly benefits. Not only do they have to show up three times a week to excessively long boring sessions but in order to complete the program, the client must lower their medications. Why is it that the educated elite are always finding ways to bully the poor? It’s not logical that everyone taking pain medication would have the exact same doses. You need to get your egos in check because nothing you do is going to solve addiction. Quit playing God in people's lives, especially those who are taking these drugs as prescribed. You are punishing the wrong people because you think you can control something that's way out of your reach.

Google reviews are more useful than this board. Complaints process took about 7-8 months to ultimately get denied (went through an appeal as well). Look forward to the continually declining quality of healthcare in this province.

Whats the point I called and was encouraged to file a complaint then they try to let the Doctor resolve it even though in the complaint I explained that the doctor left the country then they say theres nothing they can do why waste your time what a joke

I reported my former physician, Aaron Hartley, MD of Calgary, and I was sent a letter saying the complaint was "denied" and that I would have to appeal it. This is very strange, because it should just go straight to the committee for review: this "doctor" that I saw, Aaron Hartley - new doctor to AB - ignored the specialist opinion, misdiagnosed me, wanted to prescribe medication that was not warranted for my condition. When I developed a 2nd condition (what I call a "compensating injury") he told me that pain was "all in my head" and refused to advocate for me to get proper treatment. Overall, a terrible doctor.
