My teeth were in very bad shape when I first came in with an emergency dental situation, and since then the entire staff have been incredibly accommodating, friendly and non-judgmental, and made me feel completely comfortable and at ease during my procedures. My husband was in need of major dental work after years of dentist avoidance. We chose to have it done at Bloor West Smiles and we are so happy that we did! My husband was anxious about all the work that needed to be done, but the friendly staff quickly put him at ease. After every appointment (and he had quite a few) he always had positive things to say about the kindness and professionalism of Dr. Kostirko and his staff. They also made the paperwork part of the experience painless, which I really appreciated. And, last but not least, the final results are truly amazing! He has a beautiful new smile! I have been coming to Bloor West Smiles Dental for almost 10 years. Dr. Kostirko is the most professional Dentist I have ever met! Over period of time, all my dental concerns were addressed so now it became really easy to maintain my dental health year after year. I regularly come back for the cleaning routine, and always appreciate the work done by skilled Hygienists. Lately, my husband became a patient of Bloor West Smiles and the treatments he received were top notch. Scheduling may require some advance planning if you are really particular about dates and time. If you are flexible, then it is easy. Overall, very experienced Team and efficiently run Dentistry. Highly recommended!

In addition to the exemplary services, Dr. Kostirko and/or his associate Dentists, including the staff, have stayed late to accommodate my request for care on an urgent basis. This is customer service at its finest. And I cannot forget the glue that holds the clinic together - Urszula, Asha and Louisa. Words cannot express how truly amazing they are. They have gone beyond the call of duty by making every visit extra special for me and my son. They have also gone out of their way to contact me the following day to inquire about the visit and to check in on me and/or my son, especially following surgery. Thank you Bloor West Smiles!

I’ve been searching for a good dentist for 20 years, and I’ve finally found one! Dr. Kostirko is amazing. My past dental work was always shoddy and needed constant fixing. Dr. Kostirko is a perfectionist. He does a great job and really makes sure you are happy with the finished product. I did a full set of veneers for my teeth, and the job was done perfectly and incredibly quickly. All the staff are extremely friendly and helpful. I strongly recommend Dr. Kostirko and his team to anyone in search of a great dentist.

first time visit with dr. alexandre kostirko, removed my teeth (13+) to be fitted with dentures. absolutely pain-free doctor, terrified of needles, didnt feel them. freezing came out felt nothing, no pain, next day felt totally normal. never ever heard of anyone having surgery at a dentist office who does not come home without pain killers and complaining of pain. i would highly. recommend dr. kostirko to everyone especially those with a fear of going to dentist. i can't praise him enough. i wish i had seen him for past 20 years. he probably would have saved my teeth. staff r wonderful.

I did teeth cleaning/check up/exam. My experience was disappointing. Olga, the hygienist wanted to do 4 x-rays based on a complaint about sensitive teeth. She did not check my teeth prior to doing x-rays or alert the dentist to determine whether the x-rays were needed which was not cost effective. There was no review of the x-rays nor further feedback about my complaints. I also paid an extra $70 for a comprehensive exam. Again, there was no review. I complained and was reimbursed. I expected feedback. No news is good news is inappropriate. I asked whether I needed a crown. Dr Kostirko barely examined the tooth and immediately said he could replace it with a filling. Pros and cons were not discussed. Only comment is a filling was cheaper than a crown. I did not feel confident with his quick assessment to proceed. My hygienist’s assistant was not available to write down the readings for my comprehensive exam. I observed her stress. It was time consuming which likely contributed to oversights in my treatment. I asked the hygienist how many years the filling would last over doing a crown expecting her to ask Dr. Kostirko instead she said it would last a long time. She offered a vague answer over enquiring with the dentist was unprofessional. The five star google reviews for this clinic led me to believe I would have an outstanding experience. Trust and confidence was not established. I would not recommend the clinic based on my experience. The five star aspect of the clinic was Luisa, the office manager. She is both a skilled listener and communicator. She appreciated the feedback and her interest to resolve complaints were sincere.

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Alexandre Kostirko and West Bloor Smiles dental clinic. I wish I had switched to them sooner. They provided great attention, sincere care, very professional and honest services. They used advanced dental technology to complete comprehensive research of problems and perform the best treatment. The personnel are very warm and friendly, professional, and knowledgeable. I am incredibly grateful for their excellent work. I had many different dental problems caused by a previous dental doctor.
