I rarely leave reviews, especially when prompted, but I’ve been a patient at Underhill Dental for almost 40 years and I feel that they deserve my recognition. Dr. Lubin was the only dentist I have ever known (a friendly, familiar, Groucho Marx-esque type who always made me feel comfortable and remembered), I hope he is enjoying a well-deserved retirement. While I’ve only met her briefly, Dr. Nina seems very competent and capable. I look forward to our upcoming thorough inspection get to know you type appointment. The administrative staff have always been wonderful. Warm, understanding and accommodating (especially during the years when I didn’t have insurance). I appreciate that and you. Thank you. The only very minor negative about the experience, I was less than impressed with the Covid PPE surcharge. I completely understand it, it was probably mentioned to me in advance, and it was not at all unreasonable at $5, but I felt caught off guard by it. It really wasn’t a big deal, but it would’ve been disingenuous not to at least mention it (along with hand sanitizer and plexiglass, they provide overshoe booties which were, at least, novel). Finally and importantly, the procedure itself was different: no polishing and no “water pick” cleaning. Just the old fashion scrapers. I thought it was going to be absolutely awful (as I had missed an appointment and there was a year of plaque buildup), but the hygienist was fantastic. Careful, thorough, efficient and friendly - thank you, Mariah. I felt safe the entire time and there was a sense of normalcy in going back to the dentist. I would recommend Underhill Dental to anyone who is concerned about visiting during the pandemic as there was an established procedure and sanitization seemed to be taken seriously. I would also recommend Underhill Dental, in general, to anyone who is a little overdue for a visit. Floss.

I hate going to the dentist. My dentist, Dr Lubin, will tell you how rarely I go. However when I went this week (2x!!) I was treated better than imagined. He knows my paranoia, he explains the whole process, he tells me what's happening, and for someone who hates seeing the dentist I was more calm than I could've thought. The clinic is always on time, very clean, professional staff, and thorough care. I'd recommend them to anyone in the city looking for a super dentist. This comes from a guy who hates dentists.

I've been going to Underhill Dental for over 5 years now, I have never once had a bad experience. The staff here is always so friendly and welcoming! Dr. Nosrati is also absolutely amazing. She's always very kind and professional. I absolutely don't like going to the dentist in general, but this place made it the most efficient and understanding experience I could have hoped for. Had a couple cleanings done and 4 extractions. Correction: Everything was good at the beginning when I first started with them. But as days went by I started noticing things that seemed pretty shady to me. I was charged for a service that I had got done a year ago July 2019. Since then I have been there 3 times and no one had mentioned anything about that until i was charge on my 3rd visit. Called them to resolve the issue but they didn't have any accurate information. Even the numbers on the explanation I got didn't match, and they have failed to explain it to me properly. When I mentioned I wanna cancel all my appointments and Im not going back there again, they said "Ok that's fine" lol BEWARE of surprise/unauthorized charges on your credit card. Also UNNECESSARY EXAMINATIONS and other services will be provided and you will have to pay for them.

My mom took me in to have a cleaning and check up. It didn’t feel like being at the dentist at all. Everyone was friendly and wonderful the office is beautiful and feels like home. Nooren at the front desk was amazing and Made me feel at ease right away. Mariah the dental hygienists cleaned my teeth and showed me how to properly brush and floss my teeth on a daily base. I loved her she’s amazing gentle and beautiful. Dr PK did my fillings and he was very gentle and kind he made sure I was ok at all time and made my dentist appointment even better. I think I just found one of the best dental clinics in North York! I hadn’t been going to my previous dentist regularly, so I was afraid of going to my first appointment. Much to my surprise, the clinic had such a great vibe from the email correspondences to being greeted by the staff upon entering, and of course my session with Dr. PK and hygienist Barbara. Everyone here seems happy to be there, and it made me feel very comfortable. Dr. PK and Barbara were so kind to educate me on proper dental care and what we needed to do going forward in order to take care of my teeth. They provide a 5% discount for patients without insurance. Parking is abundant, as it’s coneveniently located inside a plaza.

What a great place. Going to the dentist office is scary enough. You should be worried about how you will be looked at or cared for. This place makes going to the dentist enjoyable. From Kelly greeting you as soon as you enter. The Hygienists easy to talk to And PK & Nila the dentist's, take their time to explain everything. There is coffee, tea, and water if required and a lovely waiting room with various reading materials. Everything needed to make the wait easier oh and the chairs are great. Need a new dentist? Give them a try. You will be glad you did. Also there is plenty of parking if you require it as well as a bus stop a few steps outside.

I've gone to Underhill Dental for my whole life. It was my favourite thing even as a child. Dr. Lubin, his wife and all of the staff were absolutely incredible. Friendly, professional, constantly striving to maintain positive relationships with all of their clients. It was definitely a family. When the office was taken over by a new Doctor, I chose to stay. Upon walking into the office for my appointment, excited - I saw the receptionist speaking down to an elderly gentleman I recognized from the community. I was then told my appointment was cancelled due to not responding to the reminder voicemail left for me. A voicemail that had no indication an appointment would be canceled if there was no response. The receptionist was very rude and aggressive towards me, my appointment was cancelled prior to my arrival and my time was wasted. I wrote an email about the incident and how it made me feel and the response I received from the new dentist who never even bothered to meet me - was that I should find a new dental office. Disgusting.

After being in pain for 3 years and seeing multiple dentists and thousands of dollars for them not to listen or fix the issues, I was referred to this dental office by a co-worker. I was really nervous at first but the pain was so intense that I had to go and I am so glad that I did. The dentist was OUTSTANDING and patient and compassionate and soooo funny. He listened to where the pain was and pinpointed it to my wisdom tooth. He walked me through EVERY single step and explained it all to me. Although in pain from the extraction (which is totally normal), I have never been so happy to have found a dentist that I can safely and proudly call, our new family dentist. The receptionists, assistants, everyone there is so friendly and so helpful. So glad that I came. Thank you guys sooooo much.

I brought my brother in for an exam and cleaning and it was the most pleasant appointment at the dentist for him. The front desks were very friendly they asked me if i want some coffee, tea or hot chocolate while waiting for my brother and the hygienist was very nice to him. My brother is 9 year old and he said he enjoyed his cleaning and he remembers the oral hygiene instructions that Corola, the hygienist told him and he is actually doing it at home. I would recommend this office. Staffs are amazingly kind! It does feel like family to be here.

With the friendliest staff, they make you feel at ease from the moment you walk in the door. Kelly at reception was a dream, making sure I was comfortable before she even checked me in. Marcelo is a skilled dental hygienist, who efficiently and painlessly cleaned my teeth, giving me feedback on what he saw. I didn't feel shamed about my habits, and was pleasantly surprised by how modern and stress free the environment and process was. With direct billing to my insurance, I was in and out in less than an hour. I changed dentists from one that really didn’t understand customer service very well, so yesterday was my first time at Underhill. The experience was great and the precautions they took because of Covid were outstanding-you feel completely safe. With no polishing, I suspect there was more scraping done. My teeth felt great and I also had fluoride applied. The front office staff were wonderful. They really care about you and take your time- no rushing you through- you feel cared for! I have been going here for years - as had my whole family - but since the transition to Dr. Nosrati, the focus has changed from an alright family business to an aggressive, mechanical office, that cares way more about the money they bring in, than they do about their patients. Do not go here if you want good service in a relaxed atmosphere, and truly friendly, caring staff. They are constantly upselling, maintain aggressive sales tactics, use fear to coerce you into unwanted procedures, and have little regard for what this traditionally middle class neighborhood has always been, a friendly one. Some of the staff seem sincere, others are forced to be. I would have given the office an overall 0 stars- but that wasn't an option. Note that the 5 star reviews here are from people that were incentivized to write them in order to win prizes from end of the month draws, as I had been encouraged to do on several occasions. I did not take the bait, and so the reviews here are not to be trusted. Trust me when I say - go anywhere else but here.

**THIS CLINIC PRICE GOUGES!!** This Dentistry used to be owned by the very well-known dentist and dear friend, Dr. Lubin. Unfortunately, the clinic had switched owners and since then, the service has gone downhill. Background: I had a basic cleaning appointment booked with the clinic. My last cleaning was just over a year ago. I have always been worried about sensitivity during my cleaning so I let the hygienist know before my cleaning, however, while cleaning, the hygienist mentioned “I believe you just think your teeth are sensitive, but in reality, they are not!”. In addition, due to COVID-19, this clinic stated they are ONLY capable of preforming manual scaling (thus, obviously requiring more time). At the end of my 40 minute visit, I left with only half of my mouth cleaned and a bill of $167!. In fact, I was told this is the price even after a courtesy “discount” - wow that’s expensive! When addressed, the clinic secretary manager (Ellen), whom was very unprofessional, used the excuse of “it has been a long time since cleaning and he is very sensitive”. This does not seem to be true to the hygienists assessment - who affirmed that my teeth are in fact NOT sensitive!! The clinic manager said: “we follow the pricing guideline by the dental association, if you are unhappy you can shop around and go to another dentist” - once again, very unprofessional! After the visit, I contacted 3 other dental offices and inquired about their cost for cleaning which ranged from $120-150 for the entire mouth!!! After telling them that I paid $167 for half my mouth, they were all confused as to how it could be so expensive!! I am very unsatisfied with how this clinic has become under this new leadership. **DO NOT GO HERE** **THIS CLINIC IS IN THE BUSINESS OF PRICE GOUGING!!**

From the moment you step into the office to when you leave, everyone from the receptionists, to the hygienists, to the dentists treat you with care and support. Kelly was so friendly, I felt very welcomed from the jump. I haven't been to a dentist in over three years because of a bad experience and I was worried that I'd receive lectures and worst of all, a painful visit. What I did receive was a pain free exam and cleaning, along with positive encouragement. Mariah did a great job with my cleaning and it was virtually painless. Dr. PK was very supportive and provided great tips to maintain a healthy smile. Best dentist experience I've ever had and I also feel more prepared and educated about keeping my teeth and gums healthy for the long run.
