Went there several times with my husband and son, we all had treatmemts fillings& cleaning with 2 different dentists and hygenist. All of our fillings got chipped and mine cracked as well as my husband, my sons filling was very big his tooth got infected and we had to find another dentist to treat him. Cleaning wasnt great, they wanted us to go for another appointment. It was a waste of our time and money. I don't think I should even give them 1 star. Very disappointed!!

Dr Furyer there is amazing! She did my filling and it was really good!! But the person that did my cleaning messed my mouth up so bad. And I swear I've noticed my teeth get more staining now after the cleaning done there. (It could be something changed in my diet) but I have a strong feeling it was the cleaning. My gums were very bruised and in pain for a while and the staining started 2 days later. And I'm talking strong brown stains. When my teeth stain, they only stain yellow after a few months. But the staining that happened after my cleaning appointment was like no staining my teeth has ever experienced before.

Excellent dentists and dental hygienists. Execrable customer service. My appointment was cancelled unilaterally on one occasion. . At other time the appointment was lost as someone "erased" all customers appointments for that day. They are terrible at following up with the insurance company to get paid and then they want you to pay it instead. That is "being lazy" in my book. There is one individual at front desk that is very notorious to act like a know-it-all. She constantly interrupts and questions what you want (dates, appointments) and makes sarcastic remarks or passes judgement ("don't you know how much does your company cover?" , "Why do you want to book at 7:00 pm?" and such. They are notorious for taking your call and then put you on hold (for a long time) to take another call. These customer facing people need to understand that they are not working for free and there is plenty of competitors outside. Maybe the owner are oblivious to all this, if so, it is about time they know what some of their employees are doing behind their backs. Bye bye Thorncliffe Dental Centre!

I was a patient of Dr. N. Kaplan and needed two implants and crowns to be done. I was told to get a CT Mappings done and they ordered a special guide, so implants will be installed properly. All that money, 1500$, precisely and time went to a waste since Dr. Kaplan junior who happened to be a oral surgeon, did not calculate dimensions properly and guide did not feet a drill bit, so he went free style with only minimal local Anastasia for 2.5 hours....tons of blood loss and pain. Free style is fun with a down hill skies, but with gums and teeth not so. The crowns were done by Dr, Kaplan himself and in the end he appeared to be very edgy. No compensation was offered for any of the mistakes made even so I did ask for my money back for a mappings which was useless and out of my pocket expense. Lots of money was spent...... Now is 2020, my crowns are in need to be redone since hall process was done with major mistakes....who new.... there is no warranty on them and Dr. Kaplan is not touching of anything of mine ever again! Please be safe and do not fall in the same trap. Dr. Kaplan is overworked uptight dude. Office personal is very nice though, what a shame, since those people are keeping that business alive. New update: just spent 650$ on a healing cups, since new orthodontist had to take crowns out to let my gums to heal and then I am looking for a new crowns, let say another 2000 out of the pocket expense. So, make your decision before booking with Dr. Kaplan!

I have been going to this office for approx 23 years. My entire family are patients. The reception staff could not be friendlier or more accommodating. The dentists and hygienists are all professional yet compassionate. They ask about family members, they remember names, they are truly the best dental practice we've been to. We left East York 6 years ago, but continue to drive the hour to get to appointments!

I made an appointment for check up and cleaning. They did pretty good job on checking, almost 1 hr checking and the Doc is quit good to tell you all the detail of the teeth issues. However, they didn’t do the cleaning at the same day. Their service is quit good and the Doc is professional. The checking cost 280$

Everyone is so good except one lady who is name is Leila. She is so rude lady. I think she does not like her job. Last time I brought my son for his cleaning and she was asking me for his dental card I told her that I have brought it last time ,so it is already in the system but she said no it is not. She was so angry and was forcing me to pay. I went home to bring the dental card unfortunately I couldn't find it. When I came back to pay she just went to the system again and said it is OK and then she pretend that she is busy with someone. I knew that she found my son's card in the system and doesn't want to tell me the truth that she couldn't do her job well. Today again I had appointment with Farina which she is my hygienist but Leila changed my appointment with someone else which I didn't know her before. She did it with out asking me. I just don't know why she likes to move people aroun all the time. She did the same thing with my husband. Also she changes the appointment time as well which is inconvenient for people. I didn't want to take my time and write about her but because it is not her first or second time she behave like this. Believe me, or not I saw her many time when I was in waiting room she was rude to many people, so that is what she is.

A root canal is definitely not what you want during the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, but you can only postpone dental treatment for so long. The Thorncliffe Dental Center had copious security measures in place to put me at ease. Staff was very friendly and personable. Front desk was quick to strike up a friendly, conversational tone & the dentist took time to sit down and explain the entire procedure and answer questions in depth. This was my first visit in 10 years, needless to say I am less worried about going to the dentist now that I've experienced their procedures.

The worst experience of my life, specially doctor Neil Kaplan doesn't know anything. I took my child for the first time for checkup after charging his dental fee Mr. Neil called the ambulance that it is an emergency case. After waiting 3 hours in emergency and paying $310 hospital fee the Sick Children hospital doctor said he needs to see a dentist and it wasn't emergency, next day I also received $240 Ambulance fee for unnecessary ambulance use. Total paid $560 that day for nothing, all because of Dr. Neil Kaplan and the worst part is that I'm a visitor and don't have medical insurance :( . So never book appointment with Dr. Neil .

Great experience: professional treatment delivered with smiles, good humour, caring, and respect. Also, notably, COVID-specific precautions are taken further here than anywhere else I have been in the interest of staff and patient safety: staff are head-to-toe PPE protected; air purifiers are running in every room; wayfaring signage and plastic barriers protect patients and staff throughout the offices. Amazing what has been done here: I wish the same appropriately serious investment in safety had been made in our public schools (and, for that matter, on public transit).

horrible. i booked an appointment online but they never responded so i decided to call instead. i asked for one date but the receptionist give me another date without telling me. I called about the price, then the receptionist put me on hold then said she will call back but never did, after i waited for 5 hours and still didnt hear back from the dental office, i called them instead and my questions were still not being answered. then next day i had to call again, to know more about the pricing because i know what i wanted to get done and nothing else. they wanted $120 just for a doctor to come and spent 5-10 mins to look at my teeth and it will cost more to fix what i wanted to get fixed. and the person i was talking to tried to push me to do more dental work by suggesting that i may have cavities and its better to get it done before it gets worse, even tho i dont have cavities. i rather go back to my old dentist where yes its expensive but at least they could get the simplest things done without me having to kept calling in the span of 3 days to get information i needed.

Over a period of several months there was discussion when and how they would extract 5 upper front teeth and make something to put in place so I could at least smile. As well discussion was about how many implants would be needed. The day came to finalize what would be done and start as soon as possible due to tooth ache over a long period of time. I was placed in the dental chair and my dentist plus there in-house periodontist stood before me, towering over me, both with arms crossed. Sorry but after your long wait we decided someone else should take your case. You have so many problems with your teeth and feel we cant do it. They said, we are not shipping you off but just rather not take care of you now. The issue is he was my dentist for 25 years and secondly talked about this for months making me wait and then bailing on me. I feel very, very disappointed with how this was handled. As a result I had to shop literally for someone to help me. Well the procedure has been completed and with much success. I miss going to the dental centre but they made me make a difficult decision to leave for awhile. Maybe one day I will be accepted back into the dental practice and they can see there was nothing to be afraid of. A perfect smile. Would like to return for general dentistry but not sure how I will be accepted. Therefore, I will leave it alone.

One of the worst dental experiences i had in my life was at Thorncliff Dental. I went to do my cavity fillings. Usually dentist only do upper section or the lower section for the cavity filling, they prefer not to do many fillings at the same time because it causes biting issues later. But for my case the dentist decided to 4 fillings the upper section and the lower section at the same time. Honestly until today i can't even eat from the teeth where the dentist did my fillings. I have been to the dentist at least 6 times at different locations to fix my biting but the damage is done. My dentist didn't even fully answer all my questions and seemed unprofessional. Fantastic service! Been going to Thorncliffe dental Centre since we arrived in Canada. So that's 13 years ago! Everybody from the very friendly reception staff, to the dentist Dr. Kaplan who is so considerate and then there is Mary, who is our dental hygienist. Mary is exceptionally professional. I see her every 4 months or so for my dental cleaning and she is irreplaceable. While in getting my teeth cleaned, I get to catchup on some news and gossip. Top class people! I highly recommend them.

Amazing experience as always. This time it was for my 7 year old daughter. Unfortunately she had some cavities to fill and she was fearful. Dentists are a scary place for children and can affect their perspective for a lifetime. The team always does their best to make sure the experience is as pleasant as possible. I'm always greeted with a warm and friendly smile and they have always treated me well and as pain free as is possible. Sharon, Leila and Nelly are wonderful to deal with at the front desk, and everyone treats me like family. Going to this dental office is a relaxing experience. Whenever I’ve needed emergency work done, I’m always taken care of in a prompt and timely manner and never left waiting. I highly recommend this dental office. Mary is one of my favorite Hygienist.

I have been going to this dental centre for over 10 years Mary my hygienist is excellent. I suffer from gingivitis and she is very gentle when cleaning my teeth. Dr Kaplan is very professional and explains procedures thoroughly. I have had many fillings done by Dr Kaplan and mouth guards for night grinding and I am always satisfied with his explanations and concerns. I highly recommend this centre for anyone looking for a new dentist. My insurance claims have always been processed by the centre with no issues or concerns. Great Team!!

Going to visit a dentist is not usually fun for some people, but my experience for decades with my hygienist, Jasmine is always a pleasure. Jasmine has taken good care of myself and my husband, as she makes sure that you are happy and satisfied with her service.. I have moved for quite a distance and i dont think i can go to anyone.
