And that’s with every visit ! I am so thankful for all the staff and dr Abeln! I needed some work done and they truly take care of you! Thank you all for everything you do! I’m so grateful ! The dentist is the best. He is so cool. But got tooth removed and 2 days of weeping and being in pain I can't take it. I called them many times and takes so long for them to call back. I call at 730 am and they call back 6pm that's how long. Yes I called in between. They are so short staffed and No communication at all. I am in tears calling them for something bit stronger then Ibproohen since it's not working. They also never gave me antibiotics. The blonde secretary was rude and mean. Cost 400 for a tooth removal. Took them 3 hours. Yes said that right 3 hours cause they didn't look at the xray right and see my tooth was connected to my jawline. I will never go back here again after i am all healed. Worst place i ever been to in my life. Save your money. Been over a year and still tell people this story. As I have seen many have had issues with this company. I wish they would step up the game. No one will call and try to work it out as the company thinks they are right when not. Don't go here

Today's appointment at Complete Dental of York was the first one I've had there, & the first one I've had in quite some time. I lost my dental insurance due to a change of jobs & when I finally had insurance again, I called my previous dentist for an appointment (during COVID) but was informed that I had been flagged as inactive. That being said, I started scanning for other dental offices in the area that were accepting new patients. In comes Complete Dental of York. I'm so glad I made the decision to try them out. At first I thought...I don't know, I'm accustomed to small family practices & this place looks like a "chain restaurant" type of practice. I was wrong. This place has the same feel as the small family practice that I'm used to. Definitely don't hesitate to try them out. They check with your insurance & communicate the out of pocket costs right away. Sue took care of me today for my first appointment. She was great. She genuinely cared about my comfort & explained what she was doing throughout my visit. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a dentist (for whatever reason).

I would not recommend Complete Dental of York and will not be returning. I went for a simple cleaning in July and it took 1.5 hours. 2 days later, I got 2 fillings completed. One month later, in one filling I had extreme pain while flossing, when eating bread and drinking water. The other filling was rough and shaped incorrectly and caught food every-time I ate. I went to another dentist to evaluate the problem and they said both fillings are misshapen and rough and because of this, causing infection with the gums and neighboring teeth. This new dentist said they need to be completely redone due to the poor craftmenship done at Complete Dental of York. I wasted my money going here and now have to repay to fix these mistakes.

I am a traveling nurse. So, I don't have a regular dentist to each place I travel, nor a doctor for that matter. While on assignment, my filling came out. No pain, nothing---until last night. While at work it started with a small ache and turned into a full fledged drop you to your knees pain. I called this office and they got me in right away. Not an hour, not two, but in 20 minutes. The office staff were absolutely wonderful, Friendly, understanding, and empathetic. Not nmnnnn only did they find that I was in need of a root canal but had me scheduled for it within 2 hours of leaving the office. Not saying, Inlove root canals, but they are doing this quickly for me to enable me to be out of pain, a bbn le to work tonight, and even worked around their own personal schedules to facilitate mine because I leave my assignment on Monday. So, now, monday, I will have my permanent crown placed. I truly can't believe it. This office is amazing!!!!!!!!! Everyone was sooooo nice and accommodating. I could not recommend a better dental group. I am now willing to travel out here just to come to them, that is how impressed I am.

THE WORST DENTIST I'VE EVER BEEN TOO!!! I received a postcard for a $60 cleaning so I thought I'd give it a try. Waited 20 minutes past my appointment time to get called back. Was x-ray'd for an hour by some kid that must have been on the job about 2 hours before he was thrown out on his own. Never in my life have I had so many x-rays taken. Then, before I have got my teeth cleaned, I'm told that I need some deep cleaning. They wanted a "yes" answer from me before even telling me how much it costs. Thank God I was persistent in saying, "It depends how much it is"... $2,700!!! After being there almost 2 hours I left, still not getting my teeth cleaned, telling them I'd need to think about it. I went back to just get the rest of my cleaning for my $60 and while I waited 20 minutes past my appointment time i read the other reviews... Thankfully I left before letting this circus of a dentist touch my mouth. Wish I would have read these before ever wasting my time!!! I'LL NEVER STEP FOOT IN THAT PLACE AGAIN!!! THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD!

Went to get a crown here after an impromptu root canal at another office. Dr. Abeln and Amanda were awesome. We talked about college football before the procedure started. The procedure went well too. I'm coming back later this week to get a regular checkup and cleaning, which hasn't happened in a while. The only complaint I had is that I paid extra for nitrous and barely felt the effects, not like what I've felt other times I've had it elsewhere.

I chipped my tooth in early March so I called CDOY. I wasn't in any pain, but I had some concerns. I immediately made an appointment that was later canceled. Granted, this happened at the start of the pandemic so I was understanding. But they canceled my visit THREE TIMES. Well, after they canceled my appointment for the 2nd time, I made another appointment at another dental office. They had me in the within a week and recommended a root canal. Root canals can be pricey so I kept my appointment at CDOY because I know they accept CARE credit cards as payment. Well, a month and a half after my initial call, they told me they can't save my tooth 5 minutes after telling me all I need is a crown.

She prescribed Advil and told me she has a strict policy against any pills other than Advil. I highly doubt she would have treated my father that way if he went in pain like I was. I wouldn’t trust this place. Staff was very nice and my visit went decent. Not the best cleaning I think I’ve ever had but it wasn’t terrible. What set me off was the end of the visit when the main dentist came to check what the hygienist did and started talking about Invisalign and how I was a good candidate. I honestly have perfect teeth. Never needed braces, wisdom teeth removed to prevent overcrowding. I have one tooth maybe off center but I always receive compliments on how straight and good my teeth look. When I said I wasn’t interested, they tried convincing me to come back for another visit just to take impressions in case I changed my mind. When I said no again, then they told me I needed sealants on my molars. I’ve always heard, from multiple dentists and from what I’ve seen online, sealants on adults don’t do anything. They fade often and are typically used on children and when a dentist is offering them, it’s a scheme for money. What really threw up the red flag was they told me they were running a special on sealants, but 1 get one free. Lots of red flags through the whole visit to make me feel like they were just trying to suck my money. I was very uncomfortable and will not be returning. Don’t go unless you know about basic dentistry or you will be duped.

I only had two appointments and I have a really good relationship with my dentist. The people there are really nice. Going to appointments alone make me nervous since I’ve been so use to my mom by my side. Throughout the appointment my dentist (Sue) and I have nice conversations. We talk about what has happened since our last meeting, she answers any questions I have, and she also tells me facts here and there about what’s going on in my mouth and why from creation of cavities to types of bacteria in my mouth. Talking is nice an all but she also does an amazing job making sure that no spots are missed when cleaning my mouth, detecting a cavity starting to form and telling me what I could do today until next time to prevent it. Overall I do recommend this place. Nice environment and kind people who want only the best for you. No rip offs.

I neglected my teeth for many years and found Complete Dental of York a couple of months back. The staff and I made a game plan to fix what was wrong, and I have been more than satisfied thus far. They fixed my smile wonderfully and we are now moving on to other issues. They have been straight forward with me about cost and treatment and have not misled me in any way. I will NOT go anywhere else at this point. I work close by, but live 25 miles away. They are worth the commute.

The hygienist was wonderful, professional, and went above and beyond for me and my son. She was very patient with my 5 year old, who was bombarding her with questions the entire time, and went out of her way to make him more comfortable with going to the dentist even though he isn't a patient there. The front desk, however, is disorganized and one lady in particular has been rude to me on multiple occasions. Last week when I went in for my appointment, she told me that they didn't have time for my appointment and sent me home. No phone or anything ahead of time to let me know my appointment had been canceled before I drove my son and I across town in 100+ degree weather. My advice when going to this office is to double check that they accept your insurance and that the procedure you're having done will be covered because this is the second time they've let me know that I'll have to pay out of pocket AFTER the procedure has already been done. Apparently they don't see it as their responsibility to make sure your insurance is squared away before your visit starts, which seems to be the standard in every other medical facility I've ever visited. It is a shame that the front desk operates that way, because the hygienists and dentists have always exceeded my expectations with their quality of care.

This place is very clean. I bring my whole family of 5 here. They were great with my children and listened to our concerns. They were not “pushy” to have things done, like previous dentists offices have been. Also- nice waiting room and very kind staff. Only not 5 stars because of a problem we had with communication on appointment times. We will keep coming here, and would suggest this place to others who are looking for a new dentist.

The only reason I didn’t give them five stars because I don’t do that very often and because they seem to have a high turnover of staff. However, I only go once every six months so it may not be as high as I think it is. All in all, if you’re looking for a dentist I would recommend complete dental

This is the most unethical place I have ever been to. They push to use their dental credit and then charged me for 3 visits when I only had one. They tried to get me to have antibiotics injections with my deep cleaning, over $1000 out of pocket and totally unnecessary. We showed up for my sons appointment and they wouldn't take him saying they left me several messages saying they had to cancel which they did not. The only message I got was a text "comfirming" his appointment. I would never ever recommend this place to anyone totally incompetent and unprofessional. I will also be contacting the BBB for being billed for services unrendered.

Several months ago I had a tooth break and overtime it deteriorated and became a pain...literally!!! I have had experiences in the past with dentists shaming and belittling me over my dental hygiene habits( not the greatest at all, but still do not need lecturing etc) I couldn’t be more pleased with my experience here. From the second I walked in to the second I walked out I felt comfortable and never embarrassed. The waiting room is gorgeous and they offer free water bottles etc. The doctor and assistants all made me feel welcome and like they were there to help ME! Not the other way around. The assistant took ample time to explain to me what all was happening/going to happen and, was also very comforting when she could tell I was in pain( I had an extraction done). I will be going back and also Recommending them to anyone I come across that needs dental work or just needs to find a reliable, trustworthy ,and very friendly dentist! (They also give $50 credit to anyone you refer as long as they mention your name when the time comes)! Very pleased with my experience!!

Never again, as I read the reviews I was hesitant. I went against my gut feeling and after a 2 hour wait (I wasn't scheduled because this was an emergency so it's understandable) and an hour in the chair and some of the roughest handling I have ever had I will tell you to avoid this place at all cost.Speaking of that $3555 for one crown is ridiculous. At 48 sat in the chair hoping to have an extraction and be on my way. They never finished the extraction and with a broken exposed nerve tooth they gave up on me, prescribed me percocet and antibiotics and made an appointment 5 days from then to have an oral surgeon do it instead at a different location! To the tall black woman at my side I thank you for forcing the issue and getting me an appointment at an oral surgeon before the novocaine wore off! Unprofessional and unacceptable is my opinion for everyone else. Please do not give me the number for the office and ask me to call in and discuss this matter like you have done with other poor reviews.

I REALLY wanted to like this place after reading all of the excellent reviews. However, after my terrible experience I will have to rate this place ONE ????. I've spent two weeks in pain waiting for this appointment and even cancelled my appointment at my previous oral surgeon's office because this place had high reviews. Intially when I reached out via chat I told Courtney that I wanted to get my bottom two wisdom teeth removed. She asked me some follow up questions and then sent virtually sent me the patient form. Later that week I sent my dental xrays. The day before and the day of I did not receive one phone call or text reminder. The day of I called the office three times from 12 to 12:20 to no avail. When I walked in the office at 12:47 four people were sitting in the office. I was asked to fill out the patient form again and to update my bday since it said 1901. I'm not kidding!! When I got to the back room the assistant why I did not have a primary dentist. I responded that I did. She then stated that all she could give is a referral and that she'd be annoyed if she was in my shoes. I told her that I chatted with someone two weeks ago about getting my wisdom teeth removed. To which she responded that's just our customer service portal and they just try to get as many people through the door as possible. Maybe it would not have been as bad if I would have been told they did not have an oral surgeon at any point before my appointment.
