Called the 800 number to make an appointment. It goes to a mass call center. The man said “oh I can’t schedule for that location, but you can call them on Thursday between 12 and 7 and they should be able to help”. What?! How frustrating.

We had our daughter Allie’s 3rd appointment today, an I still stand by my first review. This is the best pediatric dental office ever for kids with special needs. Especially those in our shoes with Autism, they are from the front desk to the dental hygienist ours is always Ms. Tiffany, to either Dr. Angie or Dr Amber the most caring staff. They always have the patience required for my daughter no matter how long it takes to get her cleaning done an they don’t ever push her beyond her comfort level. She has so much anxiety an has never sat for the dentist an these wonderful people are 2 for 3 . Thank You to CDCY FOR ALL YOUR LOVE AND SUPPORT YOU GIVE OUR KIDDOS WE WILL NEVER NEED TO SEARCH AGAIN.

Amazing! My son needed to see a pediatric dentist for a baby tooth that wouldn’t fall out and his adult tooth grew in. We came in for only a consultation & the Dentist ended up removing the tooth the same visit! They where amazing. Informing my nine year old what they where doing along the way. He was relaxed & so was I. Cheers to this office!!

Deceptive billing practices. They tell you they take insurance to bill so that you get a check in the mail direct from insurance. Then in another case they dont take insurance. So which is it? What they don’t tell you is HOW much their billing. In our instance, they billed our insurance $374.00 knowing that insurance would only cover $156 leaving you hanging to cover the remaining balance of $218. Why do they do this? So they can bill at a higher rate and get what they want knowing insurance wont pay that much to them. Its really a shame as we went here as kids and now brought our kids. Our daughter loved it. Now we are going to have elsewhere which is really sad. We simply cannot afford a $200 dental bill for every kid every time. Ive never seen anything like this. Stay clear from them unless you can pay 100% out of pocket

I am not a patient here but my nephews are, and every adult here is amazing. They explain what they are doing in kid friendly terms. I'm, honestly, shocked to see such wonderful agents of dentistry. Neither nephew was nervous, in fact the youngest kept saying "I can't wait to go back". I'm amazed.

This place is amazing I highly recommend this practice and you should bring your kids to this establishment if you want the best care for them. My son is 3 and he has Autism. He went to another provider and was in horrible pain after dental surgery and no one would listen to my concerns as his mother. My son was in pain for a month on pain medication every day. So after all the failed attempts I found this dental office. I called in an emergency appointment when they were closed the dentist met me in 15 minutes to examine my son and come up with a game plan. She was so nice, understanding and helpful and knowledgeable. She proscribed my son antibiotics and he has been much better. She also did a follow up appointment and got the x-rays that were needed that other dentist refused to do because my son " could not cooperate". My son put up a tiny bit of a fight but all the staff were so nice and helpful and helped get the job done. They are amazing with kids!!! They treated my son the way someone should be treated. I thank them from the bottom of my heart!! This practice definitely knows what they are doing!!! If you want great service take your children to this practice in my opinion it is the best place!

Dr. Iesha and Miss Dani are the best team for my son. He has Aspergers and is very apprehensive about anything medical. They worked with me and my son to get 2 cavities filled on 2 separate visits. And now they do his regular dental cleanings. They communicate well with me and my son. He actually feels calm with them. I am so happy I found this place.

My daughter is three and non verbal and have very mad issues with her mouth at the moment they did amazing with her. I was so nervous they were going to get irritated and ect cause I know how she is. No way they are seriously really good and I’m happy how things turned out she never cried or screamed they did really good with her. Be sure to approve services up front. They'll do more than what is covered by insurance without telling you...making you pay full price out of pocket. (3 fluoride treatments in 18 months!! We even have fluoride in our water) Hygienists and Dentists here are amazing...clerical staff not so much. Unfortunately, we will not be back. Update: response to owner: according to the ADA, the recommendations for fluoride are every 3, 6, or 12 months DEPENDING ON THE NEEDS OF THE CHILD. The fact that you blanket all kids as having the same fluoride needs is very disconcerting. I would think care of the pediatric patients takes precedence over opportunities to provide and bill for unnecessary services that could be potentially harmful to the child, without the pre consent of the parent(s)

My special needs son (developmental delays, non verbal) had an appointment today for an exam for some dental work that needs to be done under anesthesia. When I arrived they informed me that their whole building had just lost power & they are trying to figure out how to continue on with their day. After only about 10-15 minutes, they had us come inside for his appointment (sat in car because of Covid) since it was just an exam & no tools or instruments powered by electricity needed to be used. The process they follow & use for Covid was above & beyond for their patient’s safety. Once we got through all the Covid process, which they were very calm & patient with my son, they took us to a chair near a lot of windows so it was nice & bright since they had no lights in the building. They had 3 staff helping me make my son comfortable during his exam by the dentist. Dr. Angie Lutz was super sweet with my son, gentle & patient with him as he was screaming & squirming during the whole exam. During check out my son was still very upset & crying loudly, so one of the staff offered to take my son for me & sit with him so I could sign papers & talk to the lady at the check desk. Even though computers & phones were down, the lady at check out was fast & completed written paperwork for me in a timely manner. When I was finished, my son was calm, happy & waiting for me with a smile. I can not say enough positive things about the staff & how they handled a very stressful situation in their office with such professionalism. As a mom of a special needs child, I can not thank them enough & greatly appreciate everything they did to help me with my son to make his experience as comfortable as possible.

I have 2 stars because All the hygienist are so kind and caring! Great atmosphere. I was highly concerned at my appt today with my kids when Dr Angela did not wash her hands between each of my kids. She then got up and walked away after doing their exams and didn’t wash her hands then either. This was shocking to me l, especially during this time of COVID. Amazing! If you have a kido that is special needs, take them here. My 4 year old is autistic and Children's Dental Center was amazing! There staff was very kind and professional. They took the time to learn more about him and his sensory needs. We took the visit in steps to insure he didn't get over stimulated. I really can't say enough about how amazing there team was. Unfortunately they are out of network for most state insurance plans. My son will need to be put under for him to have his teeth worked and they walked me through what we would be responsible for at the end of it. It will cost a pretty penny after it's all said and done but can't put a price on your child's oral health.

My son has been going to Children’s Dental Center since he was two. He’s eight with no cavities. The staff are wonderful, kind and knowledgeable, working with my son at his level. He has an appointment every six months, and much of the staff is the same, so low turnover. I appreciate how clean the facility is throughout, and how kind and professional all the individuals working there are to us. I highly recommend Children’s Dental Center of York.

To begin with, we had 2 appointments that were very nice and the dentist, Dr. Amber, seemed like she genuinely cared about my daughters teeth as well as the dental hygienist. I had to bring my 2 year old along to the second visit bc I didn’t have a sitter for him which they said was fine. For the third visit when her dad took her and I was at another appointment with my oldest son, again he had to bring our 2 year old with him and my daughter. Well the dentist was going to turn them away bc my son was with them even though it was fine the last time I had brought him along. So instead her dad sent her in all by herself to have her dental procedure done while he waited in the car with our 2 year old. NOT OkAY! Then we had to miss our 3rd appointment bc my daughter and oldest son were sick and had been exposed to covid. I was just busy and forgot to call and cancel it. That day I got a call from KATHY in the front office whom was extremely rude and patronizing towards me, informing me that we could no longer come to the office for my daughters 4th and final dental procedure. I told her my daughter was in pain due to the last procedure needing done and after she argued with me for a while she finally agreed to see her after she is done being sick 2 weeks from then. We went back today. They were supposed to put a crown on her tooth and fill a cavity. They told me they would have to re-assess the tooth to see if they could stick to the original plan due to the “history of our account.” So bc we missed an appointment they pulled my daughters tooth instead of filling it and placing a crown, a tooth that never should have been pulled. Her gums are still bleeding 7 hours later and they were not nice and polite like the first 2 visits either. All I can say is stay away from Kathy she is very rude and unprofessional, and if you have to go back for multiple appointments don’t piss anyone off bc they will change face quickly! I will never return to this office for any of my children’s dental needs.

Called to schedule an appointment, they asked what insurance I had, which I replied Delta Dental. They said, sorry, we don’t accept that insurance. I asked if you don’t accept Delta Dental, which insurances do you accept? Their reply, none. I asked why? They said they want to charge a higher rate than they can get from insurance. They intentionally tried to deceive me by simply saying sorry we don’t “accept” that insurance, when they could have been up front and said sorry we don’t accept any insurance. What a terrible practice to try and take advantage of parents who want to take care of their children. Will never recommend them, try Childern’s Dental Health of York.
