Lousy experiences with dr weisser who never listens to what you have to say, just cuts you off. I’ve been there for nearly ten years missed one appointment with dr Brian with valid reasons and im told I can’t make an appointment now. After being with them for ten years, spending probably $6000 there. Also had a root canal back in the summer and my tooth is still in pain which is why I’ve been hesitant to go back. Don’t get me started on the rude receptionist either.

Dr. Whitney and the rest of the team are amazing and all have fantastic bedside manner. I recently had a cavity filled and after informing the team of my needle aversion, they approached the procedure in a way that made it so easy and relaxing for me. I can’t express enough how easy the procedure was for me. Definitely recommend. I’ve also been a patient here for roughly 20 years and my experience has always been nothing short of welcoming :)

I got a filling done from Dr. Brian a few months back but it never got cured. When I checked in with another professional dentist, he told me that Dr. Brian had put filling on my tooth while my gum was still infected. I’ve been in pain for many months now and I’ve visited this centre twice but they just ripped me off by filling up my tooth which needed a root canal. Very unprofessional dentists work here and would never recommend unless someone wants to bear the pain and also pay them for it.

I've been a patient at this office for 20 plus years and I hope to be for another 20! Dr. Weishaar did braces for me when I was in my early 20's and it made a dramatic difference in my life. I like him, I trust him and most of all I respect him. My two sons both required braces and of course I took them to Dr. Weishaar. The staff there is excellent too and they run on time or very close to on time 90% of the time. The only challenge used to be parking but Dr. Weishaar purchased a lot next to his office which had a small house on it. He turned that into a parking lot for his office and doesn't even charge for parking!!! How many doctors or dentists in this city can say that!?

I have been treated by Dr. Whitney Weisshaar several times and now, and I want to comment and what a good dental experience I have had at her office! She is very kind, takes the time to explain procedures and answers any questions that I have, and just has a very nice and calm demeanour. I started off very anxious and she put me at ease from the very beginning. I no longer need to take Ativan before my appointments and I actually can say I now ENJOY going to the dentist! I would recommend her to anyone!!

I was given a metal retainer to wear for over 10 years by Dr. W., it has ruined my teeth, it caused gum erosión and teeth sensitivity by. I learned that this type of retainer is only used for a short period after you have your braces removed. Dr. B, suggested that i purchase a plastic retainer, I did, now when I wake up my jaw isnt sore and my teeth do not ache. However, my teeth are damaged for the long term, and it will be costly to patch up my teeth. I do not recommend Dr. W for your children's braces, if you do not want their teeth damaged.

Dr. Werner Weisshaar is the most amazing dentist there will ever be, period. I have been going to Dr. Weisshaar since I was 2 or 3 years old, and now 20 years later, he is still the only dentist I have complete, unwavering trust and respect for. Once, I broke my tooth and despite him being off that day, he came in to fix it up even though he had absolutely no obligation to (and he did the best possible job with it, that tooth completes my smile thanks to him). He is the most genuine healthcare professional I've ever known, and honestly he should be in a textbook for what all dentists should be like. I don't have enough ways to sing him praise, and even then my words don't do it justice. You won't truly realize what a gem he is in the community until you actually book an appointment with him!

I would gave this service minus star if that was possible. I booked with this clinic with a few days ahead. I arrived in time yet waited 45 minutes beyond the appointment time, because as I was told, there was an error in the booking. Meanwhile I heard Dr. Whitly laughing franatically in the back for about 20 minutes and talking - I was guessing - with a patient. Finally I gotten in the patient's chair, she educated me that I need cleaning and that would stop the gums-bleeding but she did not offer to schedule. She made an X-Ray after about 5-6 tryings of making the film stay in place but the film did not show the problem area - wich she did recognize withouth a bit of an embaressement. She did not bother to check for cavities or anything else for that matter and said that she can extract a hughe and last molar on that arcade - a perfectly good tooth, and if not I am done. Pay $65.00 + taxes. While I was paying at the reception desk I was wondering whay exactly is this payment for? She did no check up, she was patronizing me, made a usless X-Ray and advised me ill. I would have liked to know what univeristy granted her degree and what are the professional guidelines and requirements of the Royal College of Dental Surgeons of Ontario. No I do not recommend this service unless you want to pay the consultation fee for a hearty chat with the "charming" Mrs. Whitney. Lip-service was the one thing she was good at - as much as I could observe.

Regretted ever go to this Weisshar. Have him put on crowns on my teeth and keep experiencing pain. When back see him the guy lied to me that the pain will gradually go away and charged me to go there. When to see another dentist my teeth was decade inside the crowns and need to remove. I spend so much have this guy reuin my teeth.

Not very pleased with the service I received. I had "2" fillings which needed to be done. They didn't give me enough anesthetic for my filling. (which they gave me more after I complained which is good) But I've had constant pain while flossing. Today, I couldn't eat or drink on that side without feeling pain. I went to a different dentist to get my second filling done. Because I didn't want to wait a month. But he said there was no work to be done. So he didn't even charge me! I plan on making an appointment with my new dentist to see what he can do to alleviate the pain in my tooth. I've never had that happen before in my life.

First off, let me begin by saying I never write reviews, but after my experience with Dr. Whitney Weisshaar, I felt it was the only right thing to do. Dr. Weisshaar along with her staff, have changed my outlook on dentists all together. Dr. Weisshaar is the BEST dentist in Windsor (for many reasons in my opinion) but as someone who is very fearful of going to the dentist and getting dental work done Dr. Weisshaar and her staff were very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Dr. Weisshaar knew I was a little fearful so she informed me what she was going to do (in laymen's terms so I totally understood might I add) before she even started anything. This continued while she was working on me as well. Her caring and calm demeanour combined with her vast knowledge for her profession really allowed me to feel comfortable for my first ever at the dentist! I would recommend Dr. Whitney Weisshaar and her excellent staff at The Avenue Dental Centre to anyone in the Windsor area!

The receptionist is VERY rude. She cancelled my appointment on her own because I was upset that they are not concerned about the patients. I asked to speak to her boss and yet no call back yet... The dentist takes a lot of very long vacations prolonging every appointment over a month. I suggest to only use this office if NO ONE ELSE can help you. Dont say I didn't warn you they just want your money

July 11/2017 : I am glad the other people who provided reviews were lucky enough to receive proper care, however, my experience was very different. To this day half of my tongue is numb and I get a burning sensation that comes and goes.....it's called lingual nerve injury and usually happens when a Novocain shot is given in the wrong area. But the incidence of this happening is 1: 785,000 so please tell me if this is just mere coincidence or carelessness. I am 40 years old and never in my life have I experienced such pain from a Novocain shot. I went into the office 5 or 6 times and at least half the time Dr.Weizzhar did not even remember what work she completed and what still needed to be done.... It left me feeling very uneasy.... She would all me repeatedly what she did last time. After the incident with my tongue, I explained what happened to Dr.Weizzhar and she called to speak to me and accused me of lying and had no compassion to my situation claiming that something like that couldn't happen and that maybe I'm exaggerating. I have not taken time out of my day to provide a false review.... My intention is to let others know what happened to me in her care and how she treated me after the fact. I even spoke to an established specialist who agreed that what happened was a very rare incident and he's only seen it happen once in over 35 years in practice. This specialist even contacted her himself and even went so far as provide me information on how I can file a complaint against her. This not just an accident..... It was carelessness. Everyone has a right to their own opinion and I am sharing mine. If the others on here 'in praise' of Dr. Whitney Weizzhar went through what I did..... Their review would be much different. Past review (10 months ago) : Worst experience of my life. Please stay away from Dr. Whitney Weizzhar. I went there last year for a simple procedure and she gave me a novucaine shot that paralysed half of my tongue. I found out that what she did was very rare to happen and she was careless in doing it. I almost sued but could not afford a lawyer and one year later, I dint have sensation in half my tongue. I tried talking to this dentist who took no responsibility and had no compassion whatsoever. She also made sure I paid her every penny for her awful service. PLEASE STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Our family has experienced a smooth transition into the capable hands of Dr. Whitney. We have been with The Avenue Dental Centre for 40 years and continue to receive excellent care from the welcoming receptionists, the efficient hygienists and assistants as well as from the doctor herself. We have been accommodated in emergency situations and for personal products like hockey mouth guards. Extended hours meet our scheduling needs and the on-site parking has been a wonderful addition to the downtown location. We are very happy with the care we receive at the Avenue Dental Centre.

Wonderful experience bringing my 4 year old here for the first time. Previous pediatric dentist (different office) was impatient and forceful and left my son very fearful of going to the dentist. Laura and Dr. Whitney were absolutely lovely, patient, and engaging -- leading to our first successful dentist visit!

Dr Naz is my dentist and I’m impressed every time I’ve been there. They are refreshingly professional and courteous. Since the pandemic they go over and beyond with their sanitizing everything. They always take me right away, I never have to wait more than 5 minutes. The staff takes the time to explain everything to me. Dr Naz is very compassionate and takes the time to really listen to what’s actually going on with my teeth. I don’t dread going to the dentist anymore!
