Who actually "likes" going to the dentist? Well, if you live within driving distance of one of Dr. DiPilla's two offices, consider yourself LUCKY. He and his staff of amazing professionals strive to make your experience as pleasant and thorough (and gentle) as possible, whether you are a Rock Star (just ask Mick Jagger) or a plain old nobody like me. The quality of service is top notch. I have lived all over the country and had many dentists, so when I moved to Michigan in the summer of 2004, I asked a colleague for her dentist recommendation and found Dr. DiPilla (thank you, Kelly!). He was my -- and my husband's -- dentist for 13 years, until we moved to Dallas last summer. That's when I found out just how LUCKY we were to have him.... it wasn't until we went to a super-top-rated dentist in Dallas, that we fully-appreciated Dr. DiPilla's approach to dental care. On my first visit (just to have my teeth cleaned), the Dallas dentist recommended thousands of dollars of work on 7 teeth without taking the time or making the effort to understand my dental history...what?! I needed a second opinion! So on our vacation back to Michigan this July, both I and my husband went back to Dr. DiPilla. Long story short, I believe Dr. DiPilla treats your teeth as he would treat his own family's... with a focus on care (and not on billings). He rearranged his schedule to fit me in with a second visit that week and fixed one tooth. "First do no harm" is the oldest tenent in healthcare. But it is more than just a saying in Dr. DiPilla's office. He prioritizes your dental care and does what is necessary to prevent or fix, with an eye on what will need to be done later, but not more. OK, this is a rough analogy, but it's like having a wonderfully honest car mechanic for those of us who know nothing about how a car works. You can trust him. Completely. In summary, honest, caring, and the highest quality of care. Forget the top-rated-dentist-in-Dallas, I will be flying back to Michigan at least once a year to visit Dr. DiPilla. Yes... He is just that good. Consider yourself lucky if you don't have to buy a plane ticket to see him.

Excellent service at DiPilla Dentistry. Today was my first visit to the dentist in admittedly too long--and I was impressed with the experience I had. The office is clean and open, yet still private, which is nice. Their technology seems to be top of the line. The hygienist I worked with, Dakota, was very kind, thorough, knowledgeable, and prompt. She kept telling me what she was doing so I'd be prepared. The doctor, Nicholas, walked me through my x-rays and explained what my next steps were in a way that wasn't scary. I will definitely be coming back to Dr. DiPilla's office--that was the best dental experience I've had, and my teeth look great after my cleaning! :)

i hate the dentist i dont believe 99.9% really care about you or your teeth and believe that they really are just out for your cash. so much so that i did not go to the dentist for 7 years. at some point it had to give and i knew i would have to go. after extensive digging and referrals, i was lead here for a dentist visit. by far the most absolute best dental experience i have ever had and have been going for regular cleanings since. its comfortable everyone is nice and friendly its not weird its got a nice view and you dont feel weird being there. if you're going somewhere that has a better dental experience in detroit please be my guest and let me know but i am willing to wager there is no one that would provide a better overall experience for your dental needs. if youre not getting this type of experience when you visit your dentist do your self a favor and make an appointment

This place is amazing. Beautiful location inside the One Woodward building. The office itself is extremely clean with great views of Detroit. Kirsten was so nice and she walk me through everything she was doing. Dr. Bryson took the time to explain absolutely everything and answered all my questions and concerns. As a Continuous Improvement Consultant and a User Experience Designer, I am extremely critical about everything. Every little detail matters. This was the best experience I've ever had at a dentist. I first heard about them from an email Dan Gilbert sent us about their amazing service. Now.....orginally I was thinking (Dan....im not going to this bougie @** dentist, we don't have that kind of money....*lmao*) but, they are actually affordable. Ok, so back to my experience: From the moment I walked in I was greeted with smiles, offered a drink, there was no wait to be seen, yes people my appointment actually happened at the time the appointment was scheduled. If only doctors and other dentists did the same (face palm) anywho, the young lady that cleaned and treated my teeth did an amazing job, educated me on a few things related to dental care, explained the procedures and treatments and didnt make me feel embarrassed or ashamed of my imperfections. The view of the Detroit skyline was amazing, the technology and equipment they use is like no other, just dump your dentist and go there! I cant wait to work toward healthier teeth and a better smile. The service I recieved today was obviously worthy of this very lengthy , dramatic but authentic review.

Since I became a patient at DiPilla Dentistry I have had an amazing experience. They care about their patients and make sure they are comfortable. For many, going to the dentist is not a pleasant experience, I was one of those people. Each and every visit they do all they can to make sure I am comfortable and taken care of. Today was my first appointment back since the reopening due to Covid-19. They have taken every precaution and I felt more than safe visiting the office. My father had a tooth emergency this morning and when I arrived for my appointment I asked if there was any way they could help on such short notice with recently reopening. I noticed that the color of the new installed permanent crown (tooth #2) is whiter than the adjacent teeth; I mentioned this to Dr. Nicholas. When we did another crown we made sure this time that the color matches the other teeth and it was a perfect match. After few months Dr. Nicholas brought up the color shade issue and said he does not like it as well. He suggested replacing it with another one to match the surrounding teeth shades. Today, he replaced the whiter crown, at no additional cost, with a new crown matching same teeth shades. Dr. Nicholas wants to do an excellent job functionally, and esthetically. I am very happy because this place puts quality first.

Dr. Nicholas treated one of teeth and a root canal had to done. Three years later same tooth is infected. After spending thousands of dollars, the endodontist found a small missed canal in the first treatment. Now I have to deal with this all over again. However, other than the treatment itself, the staff are very friendly and professional. Same with the doctor. However, since this mistake cost me thousands of dollars, I cannot give it more than 1 star.

This dentist office is one of the worst! I called in needing an extraction referred by another dentist who took X-rays and determined I needed the extraction ASAP. They got me in next day which is the only good thing I can say. After I got there, they kept asking to take their own xrays to see if the extraction was needed. I told them to use the one I gave them and if we needed more, we could take more. They kept pushing for it until finally, Dr. Nick DiPilla came in, looked at my tooth and said he couldn’t extract it since it was too complex for him. AND then they tried to charge for an office visit (what dentist does that when they did no work???). I left this office back in 2016 because they charged me for invisalign and did the impressions wrong twice and didn’t give me my trays so I could finish the treatment after I paid over $2k for them. With this experience, I am never going back to this office. Horrible!

Dr Dipilla has saved me on more than one occasion. The first was a week before I was set for vacation ( my bachelor party) my tooth kept me up all night with a horrible pain. I called his office before they were even open and someone still answered the phone. That doesn't happen too often. I explained what was going on and they had me rush over. Before 10 AM Dr. Dipilla was hard at work to solve the problem. He got me right before my trip and even checked in on my to make sure everything was ok. His staff, himself included, are the most kind and caring folks you'll find. I absolutely hate going to the dentist but don't mind going there.
