Dr. Oonchi is an amazing dentist. Took me more than 10 years since I moved to West Vancouver to be able to find a dentist who I can truly trust. He is one of of the few dentists who really cares about his patients. His clinical skills are also extraordinary. He did a front crown for me that I have got quite a few compliments for it already. i cannot believe I did not feel a thing during the procedure. Thanks Dr. Oonchi!!

I recently cracked my tooth quite deep and had a crown done by Dr.Oonchi. I have to say, as it was my first major dental procedure, I was super nervous & anxious! I thought it was going to need a root canal, but Dr.Oonchi advised to take the conservative approach and try a crown first to see if that resolved my discomfort. He was very patient, gentle and made me comfortable throughout the procedure. He has a very calming demeanour and a nice sense of humour that helps to relax you as a patient. You can tell that he is meticiculous and genuinely takes pride in his work and his practice. The staff and office is very professional as well. My completed crown turned out perfect, looks and feels natural and the pain has completely resolved since. It's really hard to find such a great dentist these days- I completely trust and recommend Dr.Oonchi to everyone.

I and my family have been visiting Dr. Oonchi’s office for over 5 years. He has a great team, The receptionists are incredibly friendly and professional. The hygienists are very nice and personable. Some of the qualities I like about Dr. Oonchi is: -His office is extremely clean and he has great emphasis on cleanness of all tolls, material and office. -If you are on time, you will be visited on time, no time wasted. -He take every single case very serious, from a very simple filling to a complicated surgery, implant etc. -In case Dr. Oonchi is not 100% proficient or comfortable to do a task, he refer you to a specialist with high quality of work -Reasonable fees compared to the service you receive. So far I had never have any problem after my visits to his office and recently my wife is doing her orthodontic treatment with Dr. Oonchi which is going well so far

Dr. Oonchi is fantastic. He is meticulous, patient, caring, and very hard working. He always goes the extra mile and inspires his staff to do the same. He always explains the procedure clearly, spends as much time as needed to make sure everything is done perfectly, and follows up afterwards. His clinic is not very close to us but he is such a great doctor we wouldn't change doctor even if we moved to Kelowna.

Dr Oonchi was recommended by my friend and I can recommend him to anyone looking for a qualified dentist. He seems to have genuine love for dentistry and his job. He always takes time to answer your questions and he tells you what he is doing so you don’t get nervous. The treatments in this clinic are very gentle that I usually fall asleep...almost ;) Dr Oonchi also lets you know what is urgent and what could wait. The receptionist is always very nice and helpful. Expensive. I think they don't want low-income patients in their practice, because they would want $115, on top of what The Ministry Of BC coverage is able to pay. This price-out is not common, and I think people should know how important money is to this business so they can make an informed decision. It's not people first, it's maybe a second priority.

I am deathly afraid of IV's and required one for conscious sedation today for a fractured wisdom tooth extraction. It all went extremely well, and Dr. Mehdi Oonchi was a pro and very gentle. He also has a lovely staff!

I cannot speak highly enough about the wonderful staff at West Van Family Dental. I have had severe dental anxiety my whole life. To the point I needed anxiety medication to get through a regular cleaning. In the past year I’ve had some issues which needed to be dealt with no matter how scared I was. Dr Oonchi and his staff make me feel so comfortable and confident in them that I am able to get the work done without having panic attacks and crying through my treatments. I live in Langley and am willing to drive over an hour for my dental work because nothing is more important to me than the security I feel going there.

I took my 7 year son to Dr. Mehdi Oonchi to get several fillings. On the top and bottom and on both sides. My son was very nervous to to get the fillings and I wanted him to get sedated for his first time. Dr. Oonchi was amazing. His assistant talked to him in a way he could understand what was going on. Explaining about getting the sugar bugs out of his teeth. They made him comfortable and even gave him a blanket and put on cartoons. He was happy and singing in the chair. My son is a bit of a softy when it comes to pain and needles and he was as calm as could be! I sat in the room right beside him as that's what he wanted and watched the gentle care they took with him. It was over before we knew it. He was coherent the whole time. Answered there questions as they went along. Just a little foggy. He had some oral sedation and gas. I highly recommend Dr. Oonchi and his staff! They were just as good as a pediatric dentist and they take insurance so you don't have to pay for it all up front! Affordable and the best service around! Thank you Dr. Oonchi for taking such good care of my son! Highly recommend.

I had 2 unexpected root canals within a month, Dr Oonchi worked on both, I dozed off in the chair both times and he completed them in record time. The second one was preceded by tooth pain so bad that I was unable to sleep even with multiple extra strength advils. He identified that although the pain was in the roof of my mouth, it was actually being caused by a molar on the bottom not the top, how unexpected. This was a last minute appointment at 4PM on a Saturday and after a short visit I was pain free again! (before heading back for the proper root canal) Highly recommend to anyone I know who needs a dentist or doesn't think their dentist has what it takes!
