I came to get my teeth checked up and found some cavaties. The doctor was really nice but her skills were lacking. The doctor didn't fill my teeth properly after the drilling. I felt rushed even though I specifically said I want all 3 of my cavities filled. She said she booked me for 1.5 hr but I was out in 1 hr with only 2 cavities done. She had to see other patients. It was a really rushed session. It's been a couple weeks now and still everytime I eat or drink anything I can feel the pain in my teeth. I booked an appointment at another dentist to get it checked up and fixed again. Friendliness 11/10 Skills 4/10 Do I recommend: great people, but go at your own risk.

Really kind staffs and helpful, doctors are very professional and we all have great experience of getting treatment there. It’s a highly recommended dental place to choose. This was my experience at 2019. =============================== I just want to provide some updates based on recent experience at this dental after it reopened(August 2020). Please note, all previous doctors, assistants and receptionists were changed to some new ones, and we really had terrible experience with them, especially the new receptionists. One thing was to ask for e-invoice, I phoned twice and receptionist told me to send it right after the phone calls, but I DIDN’T receive it and had to go there in person to get the invoice printed. Another example was about my wife’s appointment, her reservation was 2.20pm, then that day morning I received a call and they told us it’s changed to 2pm. My wife got there by 1.50pm, but she waited till 2.30pm. We didn’t feel any respect on our time and our continuous trust. We stepped into the dental right it’s reopened, but apparently we made the wrong decision, I ever had very good experience with previous staffs in last year, but be cautious for now!

The experience starts on time with the COVID check in front of the office performed by the hygienist. In my case, Alysa. Once this is done I am guided to my seat in the operatory. Alysa had already reviewed my file and X-rays and then She asked if I had any concerns or changes in my health. Alysa then goes ahead with an oral health palpitation and look in my mouth. She is so kind and personable throughout the appointment so it’s easy to see how knowledgeable she is. Throughout the cleaning I noticed that she really hunts down the calculus/tartar, above and below the gums. She found a deep pocket around One of my molars. It had been there for years. My previous hygienist said it happened with age, and there was nothing that could be done for it other than to brush the area really well. Alysa found and removed the tartar build up/stone in that pocket-no easy task, and my pocket shrunk from 6mm to 3 mm. Alysa is thorough and she seems to really want the visit to be about obtaining the best possible oral health outcome for her clients. I feel so reassured that I am receiving the best care, so I try my hardest to practice the best oral hygiene I can at home between visits. I see Alysa once every 4 months to keep on top of everything. Dr Hussainy then follows up with the dental exam. He is extremely knowledgeable and you can tell he strives for excellence in treatment. He Always gives you options and advice, without being financially driven. It’s evident that Dr. Hussainy is passionate about dentistry and educating when chatting with him. The reception ladies take care of payment and are always lovely to deal with as well. I would completely recommend South Park Royal Dental.

Dr. Hussein’s Husseiny and his super star Dental Assitsnt Kwan are amazing! They go above and beyond. They can even understand my tooth-talk language. A bonus feature is that he has Netflix on the ceiling so you can enjoy your appointments. Most importantly, Dr. Husseiny is very funny and kind and caring. He is the first Dentist or Doctor who has ever called me to see how I’m doing. The office helps deal with the insurance providers which is a huge relief and always try to find solutions. I look forward to my dental visits because of this Team at Dr. Husseiny’s Clinic. I give this clinic a 5 star GOLD rating (and note: I am hard to please or impress) but they do it every time: make me smile! ????????

Staff is so nice and friendly. All information filled now online and kept in the system, easy to find and make appointment. They do take insurance and do direct billing, no hassle to submit it later to insurance company. Definitely coming back.

Recently moved back to Vancouver and needed to find a new dentist. My previous dentist in Edmonton was very meticulous and professional. I approached this dentist office and told them why I was looking for a new dentist and that all I wanted was a cleaning and if I was happy with them that I would want to become a regular patient. I also told them that I did not have a dental plan thru work and I have to pay for everything myself. When I got to my appointment, everyone I met was rude, arrogant, pushy and condescending. A second dentist had to come in and take over when he heard the first one arguing with me loudly. They forced me to take pictures after 20 minutes of arguing. I paid my bill in the amount of $253.10 and never returned. Six months later they mailed me a different version of the same bill indicating that owe now an additional $38.20 April 10 2019: I saw your reply. I do not use my real name online. However, I have also filed a Better Business Bureau complaint with my full name. Please correspond with me thru that process.

In the first couple years after my dentist's practice was bought out by South Royal, each visit was a different hygienist and the couple of staff that made the transition to this new office didn't last too long. Each hygienist was nice but the lack of continuity was a vast and unwelcome change from the previous dentist; they didn't know me. I decided to try an new dentist a year ago, they were great and I'd planned to never go back to South Royal (traffic was also an issue getting there) however I was 'caught' when they called to schedule an appointment, the audio collection was horrible and the caller ID was the dentist name which I didn't recognize, I assumed it was my new dentist and I accepted the appointment. I only realized my error when they called to update the appointment time and the caller ID showed South Royal Dental. Again the people were nice and this time the hygienist was one that I had once before so maybe there is going to be some stability in staffing.

Dr. Husssainy and his team were nice and friendly, they were able to help me for an emergency issue and booked me an emergency appointment for an hour after I made the initial call. Easy access and easy parking since they are based at Park Royal. He explained the details of the procedure thoroughly and helped me understand the details to make the best decision. I am going to call him my dentist from now on ????????

The dental hygienist takes an X-ray without removing the appliance in my mouth and blames me for not telling her. Can’t she see? She also wanted me to turn my head while she was drilling! So I could be drilled on the gums! I refused to move even when she said it twice. And the fluoride, I am sure she did not put any on the upper one because I saw it upside down before she put it in my mouth. I feel like I’ve been robbed. I am not going back to that hygienist ever!

Hygienist are the best they really take care of you. Doctors are okay but they should work on their interpersonal skills. I often feel like they come and check 2mins and often push their invisalign treatments on you. Front desk staff are attentive and polite.

Had some delicate work that ending up taking 2 hours and the staff, especially Dr Hussainy took all the time to explain what was happening and the pro's and con's of a dental plan we were working on. Plus they knew I was not on a dental plan and they kept costs to a minimum. Highest levels of care and a nice ambiance in the office. Lots of free parking too which may not seem like a big thing but it is when you are rushing to a dental appointment:), plus you can do a bit of shopping at Park Royal

This was my whole family's dentist for over twenty years, but since the main dentist is retiring it seems to be going downhill. It is also a very cramped location inside of Park Royal Shopping Center. I switched to a dentist closer to my house and they found six cavities and I had to pay to get my teeth recleaned, even though I had just been here a couple of months ago. Really disappointing. Edit: I am not posting this review under my real name because the rest of my family still goes there and I don't want them to be treated poorly as a result. The last few times I went I saw a new doctor instead of Doctor Roston. Thanks

Pleasant staff and only complaints I have are that after going to this dentist office for a number of years I felt like a new patient at this visit. Also over last 4-5 years my cleaning required max 1-2 units of scaling (usually 1.5) but this time it was 2.5 units making visit more costly even thought teeth situation not changed.

I am writing this review for patients to see and as well as the owner of this dentistry. I called to book an appointment for my cleaning yesterday. The receptionist who was on the phone would not allow me to speak, it looked like she was on a rush to hangup the phone. She was speaking very fast and not polite. Last time I was at their office they did not book me for the right amount of time and only was able to clean the bottom half of my teeth. I was advising her to book more time so I dont have to come back twice for a simple cleaning. My teeth are sensitive so as a patient they need to listen to my need and put it first. I asked her politely to listen to what I am asking and she tells me I am interrupting her. This is not the right way to treat patients. I hope that office gets the right coaching so they dont behave that way in the future as without patients there will be no business.

Shame on you Dr Shabnam. You declined to give few minutes of your time for a 7 years old child. My daughter was hit while doing gymnastics and her baby tooth was displaced which caused bleeding. The rec center called me to pick her up and take her to see a dentist. The least you could offer a child is compassion and care. You were out of these today. This is not ethical nor professional. The staff were kind and tried their best finding an alternative clinic.
