Dr Behmard and his amazing team have restored not only my teeth but my faith in dentists. Everyone at reception is always helpful and friendly. Jennifer, one of the nurses, is very knowledgeable. She always makes me feel relaxed, safe and cared for. I feel like Dr Behmard treats me as an individual and works with me to decide the best plan of care and he always takes his time when freezing my mouth so it is as pain free as possible! Thanks! ---------- I am so heartbroken to have to write a review like this but I feel it's important to ensure that others are not made to feel as I have. I absolutely adore Dr. Behmard - he is kind, thorough, and incredibly knowledgeable. I have been a long-time patient for nearly a decade in addition to my immediate family members. Recently, I went in for a crown with partial insurance coverage through my work. In the past, I had generally paid the full amount of procedures upfront with the insurance reimbursing me through direct deposit. In this instance, there was somehow a mistake where I paid for my portion of the cost immediately following the procedure but my insurance paid out the rest of the amount to me in lieu of the clinic. This was in July 2021 and I did not notice this amount being added to my account. If anything, I would have assumed it to be a reimbursement for a service I had paid for in full as previous. 6 days ago I receive a scathing email from Janet who works at Behmard Dentristry noting that they will "take further action" if I do not call to pay back the amount due. I have been out of the country with no access to my phone and personally decided not to check my email as I have very limited time off. In that time, I have received three phone calls and two texts regarding this overdue amount. I recognize the need to settle overdue accounts. However, as someone who works in healthcare, I also recognize the importance of compassion and kindness in speaking with patients/ clients given where folks may be at. Someone may have just lost a parent and be deep in grief, another may be out of the country, etc. The frequency of contact (particularly considering my lack of ability to respond for SIX days - we're not talking a month here) and the tone in the email, voicemails, and texts are inappropriate and unacceptable. Based on my track record alone, there should be a clear indication of my loyalty as a client; everything paid immediately following procedures, never miss an appointment, etc. and that should be taken into consideration in the approach taken. In addition, the sheer frequency bordered on harassment and left me feeling like a second class citizen. Consideration should be taken in modifying wording, approach, and frequency. An effort should be made to highlight when an issue is not the fault of the client (as in this case) and time given to remediate the issue instead of an assault of contact. Janet, in particular, should have training on compassion. I am incredibly disappointed in how this was handled and hope others are not made to feel as I did when they had little to no fault in the issue.

Three generations in my family attend this clinic which speaks for itself. Today, I have one question. I required Adjunctive therapy, in one area. Since I have extended health coverage for prescription drugs, I do not know if this can be covered if recommended by a dentist rather than my doctor . Please advise.

I came in for my first appointment which was for new patient records: xrays, photos, review of my dental needs and concerns. The office was immaculately clean, brightly lit, the front and back office staff were super professional, articulate, prompt, courteous, knowledgeable. The moment I met Dr Behmard my intuition told me I could trust him: he is intelligent, professionally friendly mannerisms, respectful to his staff, succinct in his evaluation, perfect communication, no confusing language or over-explaining. There has never been a time of just leaving me to wonder. Their dental hygienist Bianca is probably the best I have been to in my 63 years. So kind , attentive and obviously knows her stuff. It's funny but I now look forward to getting my teeth cleaned. Dr Andrew Shearon gives full, undivided attention when you talk and is the best at explaining procedures and results. They dont make unnecessary suggestions to upsell. In fact they are compassionate and understanding of limited income and the need to wait. No pressure. You can easily tell that this is an office of kind good people. At the entrance they have a Dsli Lama sign which says it all. Go check it out when at Park Royal near Michael's South side with tons of parking.

My experience at this office was positive and friendly. The work was well done and the resulting crown is very good - feels natural. My issue is with the communications. You see I was told that I needed a crown. As I was not given any other options and trusting the dentist we proceeded. After a large percentage of my otherwise good tooth was drilled out and the (needed) crown was installed I was presented with a whopping bill of which I had to pay about $700 out-of-pocket. It was 2020, the pandemic was raging and finances were tight. I was shocked. I have never had a crown and I never wanted one. I am sure, now, that I did not actually need one, another filling would have sufficed. That is all I will say here about this matter. Sincerely

My previous dentist sold the practices, and I had the horrible task of finding a new dentist. Dr. Behmard's office was suggested to me, so I decided to book a cleaning to see if this was my new Dentist. The front office staff were incredible, and made the transfer of my information and sign up smooth and painless. I first met Dr. Behmard when I was helping him with his new website. Our business relationship was very admirable and so I decided to switch over from my current dentist. I was really glad I did as I find him and his staff to be very friendly and his office is clean, bright and very relaxing. I personally don’t have a fear of going to the dentist but a problem I sometimes have is that they can push a lot of random things on you, which can add up to quite a bit of money for those of us without insurance. This is not a problem with Dr. Behmard as he always explains exactly what the procedure is for, if it can wait, and any alternatives that may be available. All I can say is that I now live on the east side of Vancouver and make the trip all the way to West Vancouver to go see Dr. Behmard.

Honestly, it's hard not to sound like a fanboy! The dental care and customer service here is so extraordinary, so much better than I ever experienced elsewhere. I usually work with Dr. Joyce but today Dr. Behmard did some minor surgery to place 2 implants. These two doctors are not only masterful dentists and dental surgeons, they are artists. I have never felt even the slightest pinch of discomfort. Plus, being a lover of tech I have to say this office is a dream and the result is their work is perfect to a T. All my life I have had many dentist, some decent and others good but no one as exceptional as Dr. Behmard. What makes him exceptional is that I had a full mouth reconstruction and during the process, there was no pain or discomfort and he was very caring and made sure everything was ok and I was very comfortable despite the fact that the procedure was long and difficult. His crew was friendly, passionate and Dr. Behmard was flexible and accommodating with my schedule which was very important for me. My lovely long term dentist moved in with these guys several years ago. I honestly wish he didn’t. I liked his simple no thrills practice. I don’t like their new open plan, fancy TV on the ceiling experience, because it’s all reflected in the price. And one visit I got charged for their new chloride treatment that they paint on instead of put on the gum shields, and when I told them I didn’t get that they told me I was was wrong and charged me anyway. Dr Kay is lovely, he really fixed my teeth around 18 years ago and I really haven’t needed help since other than routine hygiene. He replaced all my fillings with white ones, gave me several root canals and crowns and a new bridge, all of which are still doing great. I’m not a fan of this practice in general other than Dr Kay. one time they charged one of my kids for their brothers treatment instead of contacting him or his Mom. I also find the reception staff abrasive when they call about money. Just not the same as when it was Dr Kay in his old practice,

Dr Joyce and his staff are great. Caring, knowledgeable, skillful, happy to explain options and recommendations. Genuinely cares about his patients health. I’ve being seeing Dr Joyce since the 1990’s. I’ve moved since then and now travel 3 hours to see him. Highly recommended.

They have the state of the art diagnostic tools and in the time of pandemic have taken all the precautionary steps possible to make one feel safe. My Dentist, Dr. Joyce, is a wonderful man, and yesterday met Dr. Behmard, who also seems terrific.
