I recently had my teeth cleaned and a cavity filled. I can't remember my hygenists name, but she was great. She was very gentle and but me at ease. Dr. Sam Van Sterterhem was great - he had great bedside manners - explained what was going to happen each step of the way, and was very professional.

I am really happy with this dental office and the staff there. They don’t get five stars because of the crazy amount of constant texting and emailing to remind me of my appointment. Most people do not need to be reminded six times in a five day period about their appointment. Dental wise - no complaints!

I’ve been coming to this Dentist for years now. Both my Son and I always have the best experiences, and love the friendliness of all the staff. Our go to is Dr. Amelie, Dr. Samuel and recently the Hygenist Dr. Luke. They always make sure we are comfortable and especially for my 6 year old son, they don’t push and make sure he is good with everything they do and explain well the procedures or tools they are doing/ using. If I could give 10 stars, I would. ????

Went to this clinic based on the reviews however I had a very disappointing experience. I went for a simple procedure that I have had before and could be done manually without power tools.. to glue my fixed retainer back to my teeth where it had come loose. Firstly the dentist used unnecessary force and power tools to scrape off old glue. During the whole procedure I was in noticeable pain (which is rare for me). After the procedure I noticed the bottom of my tooth looked chipped and had excess glue in places it shouldn't. I went back and the dentist again proceeded to "polish" the glue off my teeth. My teeth are now highly sensitive in the areas that were worked on, sensitivity that I didn't have before coming to the clinic. The back of my tooth is also chipped and the shape along the edge has changed, I believe she actually carved some of my tooth away. On top of it all, she didn't do a good job with the retainer because my top front teeth have since moved, which is the whole point of having the retainer glued in place. Absolutely devastated and furious with all of this since I am religious with my dental health care!!

I feel bad because I’m so bad with names lol. I’ve had the same dentist for 25 years, and this is my first experience with someone else. The dental hygienist who has three young children and twins did the best cleaning I’ve ever had! She didn’t poke my gums, had a very steady hand and was very detailed at the same time. Great work! The X-ray technician/ dentist assistant who moved from Edmonton with small children was awesome! Very proficient and sociable. My dentist with the French accent was very quick and courteous. Asked me a ton of questions to pin-point the issue I was having on my bottom molers. She performed a filling removal and refilled my tooth in a timely matter. The ladies up front were also very kind and professional. Very personal and professional team, I can honestly say it was the best dentist experience I’ve ever had. I will be back!

Very rude receptionists. I had severe pain with my wisdom teeth, was told I could not see an oral surgeon for months and would have to pay full price and iv sedation as my coverage would not cover me for the procedure (later I found I was given wrong information). After I had called a couple dentists I found a great one in Whitehorse who had referred me to a great oral surgeon coming to Whitehorse who also took Status and covered the iv sedation, and last minute he squeezed me in because I was in such pain. Do your research Riverstone Dental are not the only ones to refer you to oral surgeons. There are other options in Whitehorse and that do take Status. They are ripoffs and very rude. The oral surgeon I saw was amazing and his staff was so great with follow ups calling me every day to see how I was healing.

Awful treatment and horrible customer service. This clinic is not about fair and equitable treatment of patient but about lining their pockets and laughing in your face (yes really) when they announce to you that your bill is over $2500.00 bucks. The office manager went into a tirade about her front desk staff person not being well but having to be at work as if that should make it okay. I was not informed or given a quote of the expenses I would incur and assumed it was covered by the insurance--it was not. The appointment was made several weeks in advance and I should have been informed when I came for the dental work. Don't go there. The kicker was that Dr. Newhouse hurt me while freezing me and instead of apologizing went into a two minute explanation blaming my brain and pain receptors...no kidding. Do yourself a favour go see Dr. John Stern, he is wonderful and upfront about costs and his staff are professionals who will not play games with you.
