Terrible experience, extremely unprofessional staff. Got a cleaning done (extremely rushed and sloppy) and the person who did it injured my gums where I had my wisdom teeth removed. I got a check up and x-rays as well. I have no idea how my appointment took up a total of 15 minutes having had all that done.

Short note to express appreciation for my recent dental treatment. From the initial inquiry through to examination and the thorough explanation of my treatment plan, and the procedures, I experienced efficiency, kindness and professionalism of the highest degree, all the way from the reception staff, to my fabulous dentist and the hygienists. With acute sensitivity, dental treatment is not something I enjoy, but I can say with all honesty, that I look forward to returning for future treatment, and will highly recommend University Dental and Hygiene Clinic.

Terrible experience when I went. Over a year ago, I had my wisdom teeth taken out by Dr. Rubinoff. He was very rude, very unprofessional, and actually quite mean. I had marked off that I wanted to be sedated for this procedure. I was not put under. Instead, they gave me some pill to dissolve into a cup of water and then drink. It made me loopy but I was still very aware of everything. I get into the room, get numbing injected, and he starts drilling into my jaw. The sound frightened me and made my anxiety worse about this procedure, so I had started to cry. He would not listen to my body language, he just kept going on with the procedure. He starts making comments about how my "chubby cheeks" made it hard for him to maneuver, meanwhile he was the reason my cheeks had puffed up. He takes the wedge out of my mouth, I can start to feel my jaw lock up, but before I could say anything he shoves the wedge into the left side of my jaw and it cracks and pops. It caused me so much pain I cried harder. After the procedure was finish, he made a very rude remark and blamed the length of the procedure on my inability to stop crying. He dismissed me, and I left. I still have jaw problems to this day that cause me pain.

Very friendly administrative, hygienists, and dentists who always go above and beyond. My last cleaning and check up was done by Anu who did a fantastic job; she walked me through everything, provided explanations and recommendations and she was extremely understanding of my irrational fear of dentist's offices. I always highly recommend this office to everyone I talk to :) Even my kids had a great experience! They were not afraid and she was really friendly and made the whole experience for them so fun and entertaining.

Under any circumstances, DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY GOING HERE. The receptionist is super friendly and caring but other than that, the doctor and staff are extremely rude and unprofessional. All the doctor wants to do is take money out of the pockets of people or their insurance. I came here a month ago when I accidentally chipped one of my front teeth. I recently graduated from university and was no longer on my parent's insurance. So, I paid for my service out of pocket. They told me to be cautious when eating and that these fillings usually last up to 5 years. About a month later, the filling fell off and was re-chipped when I was eating soft foods (rice and beans). I came back to them so they could fix it up for me. I was extremely upset and disappointed since I paid a couple hundred dollars for something that came out shortly after or was not done properly. I assumed it would be free of charge since it just got it filled several weeks ago. Instead, the doctor demanded that I pay a minimum of $150 to fix up the small chip and made it seem like it was my fault, stating that she informed me that I was not allowed to chew on it at all, which was 100% not the case. To fix this, the whole process would have added up to $500. Afterwards, I did my research and called another dental office in the area and explained my situation to them and they said that this should have been fixed free of charge based on the time that it occurred. If you want to go to a credible and reliable dentist, please look elsewhere if you want to save yourself a couple hundred of dollars and from disappointment.

Super friendly staff and the appointment was comfortable and thorough. They even had Netflix playing in the examination rooms so I just watched my shows while getting a filling! And they sent off my insurance claim for me and since I'm a student, my cleaning was covered which was super convenient.

My experiences at this clinic have always been great. Everyone is super friendly, prices are very reasonable and they always have a welcoming environment. When I got my wisdom teeth removed, they made sure I was comfortable the whole way through. My recovery was very smooth with no further complications. I went to UDHC few times now and I can say that the staff are extremely helpful. I had my fillings and tooth extractions done and Dr. Nikita is very professional as well as caring towards her patients. I got the right kind of advise and suggestions about maintaining my teeth conditions. As a student it was a great experience to be guided properly by a health care professional. Overall, UDHC is a great place to take care of your teeth and Dr. Nikita should be a great choice for you !

The first 95% of my appointment was awesome - great service when I came in (Robin is absolutely lovely) and the hygienist was really sweet too. At the end of my cleaning, the dentist came into the room to look at my teeth. She didn't say hi or introduce herself - she barely even acknowledged me. She stuck her fingers in my mouth and stretched my mouth so wide that it made yelp. She took her hands away and gave me THE DIRTIEST look. Without so much as an apology, she just looked at me and said "ok bite". She told the hygienist I had a cavity and just left. I already dread going to the dentist, but this was something else. The most impersonal experience I have gone through at a dentist. I don't know if she was having a bad day or what but it was not ok. I was a little traumatized by this experience and definitely won't be back.

The hygenist was really nice. She works good. A lot of indian(lady) workers, they waste time gossiping. When I went for an appointment, I was waiting for long time. As the ladies were planning their party, it was someones bday. They were busy watching the gifts. And planning their breakfast, on what to buy from Starbucks. I had to rush them several times, as I had work after the appointment.

Worst office I have been to. Rushed cleanings, hygienist always on her phone. Pretty sure the good reviews are fake because this place is a rip off. Uses 100% of your insurance in one visit. Said they did 4 units cleaning when my appointment was 20 minutes.

Going to the dentist is never one of my favourite things to do - but University Dental & Hygiene is an amazing place and makes the whole dental experience very comfortable - if you have to be at the dentist then it’s not a bad way to spend the afternoon! The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and very caring of their patients. My daughter had her wisdom teeth out here also and they continued to follow up even a few days after her surgery and were always available for questions. I highly recommend this place for ALL your dental needs!!

Really nice people but the dentist/dental hygienists are not very professional at all. They were speaking to each other at full volume about their personal lives when filling my cavity. Also, my tooth recently got chipped right off as a result of an uneven bite - courtesy of this practice. Some of their dental hygienists really need to pay attention to their clients.

I’m a Waterloo student, and I did my teeth filling here last October. However, I still felt sore while drinking ice water or hot soup after that. Since I was on a 8-month coop in other places, I can’t go back to the clinic and check it. Till last week I did another X-ray test, I was shocked that I can still see the cavities part on my two filled teeth. It turns out that the previous dentist didn’t fully clean it for the first time and it lasted for about 9 months.... Also, my roommate filling just fell off after 2 months. This place is definitely not recommended!

Thanks to University Dental I got my teeth cleaned for free along with a oral examination that was covered by my tuition! Fantastic hygienists and dentists that ensure you have a good experience. Nice environment and super close to campus that makes going to your appointment easy! Already have my next appointment booked :)
