Came here after having some bad work done at a different office. Dentist doesn't seem to understand English very well, either that or she just doesn't care. I have a gap where a previous filling wasn't filled properly. Their solution instead of replacing the filling was to crown the tooth. They disregarded all of my concerns and said I didn't need any work done. Will never return. ------- Edit: Just saw a dentist Sept 18th and yes I do in fact have 2 fillings that need to be repaired. I would not recommend King street dental to anyone.

I was looking for a good dentist that took the University Health Insurance Plan (UHIP) and was easily accessible from public transit. King Street Dental came up in my search, and they were accepting patients and in the UHIP network, so I booked an appointment. As soon as I arrived for my initial appointment, I was impressed. In the winter, they ask that you remove your shoes, which I find makes the experience rather soothing (and I believe the waiting room floors are heated!). The waiting room is very nice, though I've never had to wait very long. There was a new-patient promotion where I received an electric toothbrush, and I leave every appointment with a new manual toothbrush, some flossers, etc. This is usually a good reminder to replace my toothbrush. I have had a lot of dental issues over the past ten years, and been to four or five dentists, but some of my best care has been here for sure. They were able to finally get me cavity free in November 2017 for the first time in years, and I literally left there singing. 9 months later, my teeth are still healthy and I am still enjoying the quality care I receive at King Street Dental. Plus, they usually put the Food Network on, which is a calming thing to watch while you're getting your teeth cleaned. Alas, I am moving soon so I will no longer be able to utilize King Street Dental Centre. But even now, they have my back, for once I have found a new dentist, they have offered to send my records to them so that I won't have to start from scratch as I have done at every previous dentist. If you are looking for a small dentist's operation that will look after your teeth and make you feel welcome, King Street is a great choice. And, dare I say it, you might even enjoy going to the dentist.

I first came to King Street Dental for an emergency visit (they were able to schedule me in next day) and decided to return for a regular dental appointment, because I had such a positive experience. Not only are the facilities beautiful and clean, the staff are friendly, welcoming, and do their best to put you at ease. My hygienist, Rebecca, went to great lengths to make me feel comfortable (as I've had bad dental experiences before). She gave great, sound advice, and broke everything down so that I understood clearly. I think this was the first time someone actually went through an x-ray to show me what a cavity looks like, how it compares to other teeth, and what I could do (based on my particular needs) to prevent more from appearing. Rebecca really went above-and-beyond any expectations I'd had of a regular dental hygienist. (And she made sure I was getting fairly charged - as a student, I really appreciated that!)

I was sent an email this afternoon, asked to write a review for KSDC, but to my humor, I found that a review I'd left elsewhere for them had been added to G+ with a fake profile. I was a little weirded out to find that "cecille b" (me, the b would represent my maiden name) was given a profile with my exact review a year or so ago. I have positive things to say about the dental center, reflected by my review I'd written elsewhere about a year ago, but am a little weirded out that someone has created a fake profile to represent me on G+ without my knowledge or permission. I would have preferred to have been asked to copy/paste my own words and to represent them through my actual G+ profile and account.

Just moved to the area had my first appointment at King Street Dental Center and am happy to have found a local dentist. The entire staff had a number of safety/sanitary protocols in place because of the pandemic and it was all handled from start to finish extremely well. I won't hesitate to go back.

Any questions or concerns I may have are always addressed. I don't ever feel rushed. All the support staff are helpful and very professional and friendly. I can get appointment reminders through email or text, which is so convenient! They accept my insurance and deal with them directly. The office is clean, modern, and very comfortable to be in. I rarely write reviews unless I'm really ticked off!!! There isn't an option to give 0 star!! My wife ended up spending money to another dentist for the same tooth for root canal, as this place would cost 600 dollars more and out of the pocket expense. Work done at this place was unnecessary and got me over my coverage in the end. For me, after the cleaning, the dentist doctor came to check the dental health and verified all is good. Then I was charged CAD $ 133 for talking to me for 2 minutes. Although my insurance paid it, upon noticing this, they provided excuse that it was wrong code used. The two codes are completely different. They charged ~80 dollars more than they were supposed to. Unethical and uneconomical. AVOID!!! AWARE !! Check Your Bills 10 times !!! Ask for estimates !!!!

This place was absolutely wonderful! I’m a student with a very tight budget who also is terrified of the dentist :( the team here made me feel so welcomed and well taken care of, and they were more than willing to help me sort out a plan of payment. I had a complicated procedure (root canal) that my school doesn’t cover much of, but the girls at king street dental made sure to explain everything to me and help me figure out something manageable. The dentist is super sweet too :)

Super friendly staff. They make sure to answer any question you may have. Had two of my wisdom teeth extracted with only numbing. They made sure I felt nothing. Super happy I chose this office. The procedure was scheduled for 9:30am and it was done and i was out the door on my way home by 10:15 am. Im a little nervous when it comes to going to the dentist, but they made me very comfortable. The televisions in the procedure rooms are also a very nice touch. 100% would and have recommended them to anyone looking for a new dentist

King Street Dental Centre is easily the best dental centre you can go to. I started going to them because I moved in the neighborhood, but even after moving 20 minutes away from this clinic, I continue going to the clinic because of their level of service and quality. The clinic is set up with a lot of thought and planning. You can see that the minute you enter the coat area, followed by the waiting room where there is something to do for people of all ages. Kids have touchscreen devices, adults have a nice large size TV to watch weather/news, free WiFi, water dispenser and comfortable furniture to sit on. Dr Reddy is a God send and you right away feel comfortable under her care, she is very warm, kind, and a gentle soul and the vibe in the clinic reflects that. I never ask for any particular hygienist because no matter who I get, its always a very pleasant experience and I always receive high quality service from all, including the receptionist who tries to make it work for any type of schedule. I have never been told to get work done to my mouth just because. Dr Reddy only suggests and performs work that is truly necessary. Just because you are covered is not a reason to get unnecessary work done to your mouth at this clinic. They truly care and are genuinely passionate about their patients' oral well being. If you're looking for a dentist in the KW area, I highly recommend this. I never write Google Reviews, but I had to write one for this clinic because it truly deserved it.

This is a welcoming place, even for someone who is terrified of dentists and ashamed of my poor oral health, after delaying treatment for various reasons over many years. I went in with an emergency, but have returned for a cleaning, examination, and several fillings at the capable hands of Dr. Reddy and her team of friendly professionals. Possibly the gentlest and most compassionate "care in the chair" I have ever experienced, and while Dr. Reddy emphasises the importance of taking care of and keeping your teeth, there is none of the shaming or overwhelm that too often scares people like me away. The office staff go out of their way to keep things easy and simple, and the appointment reminders by text are great, too! Cannot recommend this place highly enough.

I initially visited King Street Dental Centre in Oct 2017 after losing one of my fillings, which I had from another dentist. Dr. Reddy along with her team make every effort to make you comfortable during your dental treatment. I had to visit here couple of times (till now 6 times) and Dr. Reddy was always there to make sure that I get the right treatment. I am usually afraid of going to dentists, but not anymore, after I started visiting here. This place is nice and clean. Doctor and hygienist change gloves couple of times during treatment, which is not only professional but also maintains a clean environment. I am on a student health plan, with limited coverage and Dr. Reddy planned all the services within my coverage limit, so that I get the necessary treatment. Receptionists are always welcoming. There are touchscreen TV's for your kids. I highly recommend this place for all your dental needs.

I went to this place for a long time they did two teeth for me. They caused severe pain of one tooth for more than one year. I ended up extracting this tooth (when I tried very hard to restore it but a specialist confirmed that the tooth is perforated and there is no way to save it) and doing implant causing me to pay more than $5000 and losing my valuable tooth. The other tooth they work on was bad but not as bad. After doing some work, the tooth is broken in half and I lost some of my natural tooth after 18 months of the root canal. Now this tooth need some more work. Dr. Reddy worked on both teeth. However, a specialist contractor Dr. Radish, who work in their place once in a month or so, worked on the tooth that I extracted. I asked them to pay for the damage but they refused.

I had a root canal performed by my dentist. From the moment I arrived and was immediately seated, I was made comfortable and at ease. My dentist and her hygienist were impeccably professional, friendly and warm. The needles were given without any pain...and trust me...my previous dentist was one that did the work with me asleep. The treatment was thorough and pain free. There was no pain following the root canal. A wee bit of discomfort after the freezing wore off, but zero pain. I willingly recommend my dentist to everyone. Horrible dental office. I came here for a cleaning and checkup. The cleaning was horrible, the hygienist sprayed water all over my face and was very rough with my teeth. They took some X-rays and then I got to talk to the dentist. The dentist advised me that I had many cavities and fillings that need to be fixed. (I've never had this issue before, usually it's only 1 cavity or none…). The receptionist was nice and booked me in for the fillings. To my surprise the inexperienced dentist numbed my whole mouth because the "cavities" and "fillings" were all around my mouth. The experience was very painful (and I later found out was not needed from another dentist, because my teeth were fine). I had so much anaesthetics in me that it knocked me out when I got home and felt very nauseous. She ended up really mucking up my top back tooth and I later needed a root cannel - all which could have been avoided if I went to a better dentist to start with. Overall, I hated this dentist because they are so inexperienced and money hungry. They gave me unnecessary fillings and "fixes" and knocked me out with the anaesthetics. Even the cleaning was a horrible experience. SAVE YOUR TEETH AND MONEY AND DON'T GO HERE!

For years I have dreaded the dentist. I actually did not go for almost 5 years because of this fear. I booked in at King Street dental and I have to say it was the best vist I have ever had. I was expecting mega cavities and to my surprise they said I had none. The staff is very warm and welcoming. They did not make me feel bad for being nervous and actually made the visit more pleasant. The hygenist was amazing and was very caring. Dr. Reddy was very kind and put me at ease. I actually look forward to my next visit in June. This is a great place to go and they do know how to look after people who are very nervous about going to the dentist.

While I still don't look forward to trips to the dentist, the last visit I had at King Street Dental was quite pleasant. I have been coming here for years. The staff are all very friendly, the facilities are clean and look great. The hygenists and dentist are friendly, attentive, knowledgeable, and very gentle. The dentist got the training to do procedures like root canals herself, so there is no longer a huge wait due to outsourcing, and I found her much gentler with the procedure as well. The prices have always been reasonable, and they are willing to work with the patient to do as much as possible while staying in the patient's budget.

Staff was extremely friendly. I come to this office all the time. I actually moved from my dentist in Guelph, I had been going to my dentist in Guelph for last 20 years or so, all of my life really. So I did not want to move dentists but I had moved to Kitchener some 3-4 years back and needed to find a new dentist. Looking around for a local dentist that is established and helpful can take time. Also these days maybe dental clinics will tell you so much work is required when really it is not. I found that I did not have to worry about anything at King Street Dental. They were very gentle with me and began to learn what was required for me as a patient, right away. Staff were really friendly and easy to talk to and often times you want to just keep talking to them, even though they are working on your teeth so you have to wait until they are done. I have an issue with gas, I never asked for gas and they never offered it. Also I require more needles most of the time as 1-2 needles won't do anything for me. King Street Dental took care of my needs and I Would recommend them to anyone out there, especially if you are worried or skeptical that dentistry is painful or etc. I agree with you, I used to hate going to the dentist but now I honestly dont mind it. Plus its very close to my home which is great.

I highly recommend coming here for regular cleanings and exams, especially if you are a student. I've had great experiences with all of the staff for 4 years in uni and after moving away, I can't find a better dentist or hygienists. KSDC is my first experience at dentistry in Canada. My cleaning went really well; The hygienist was very gentle, knowledgeable and friendly. I was told that I had two cavities and needed to schedule fillings for them. I have never had cavities before so, naturally, there was some anxiety around the process. When I came in for my filling appt, Dr. Reddy was very nice and the procedure was virtually painless. She was very gentle and made sure to take breaks to ask if I was doing alright. I felt that she was very professional. The receptionists and staff have been really welcoming both times that I have visited and I have heard from my husband, who dislikes going to the dentist in general, that he had a very positive experience with staff and gentle care with his cleaning as well. My husband also works 9-5 during the week and was relieved to find out that they schedule Saturday appointments once a month as well so he does not have to miss work. My experience at King Street Dental Centre has been positive. Booking an appointment was easy and I greatly appreciated the extended hours compared to other dentists in Waterloo/Kitchener. The receptionists, hygienists and dentist were polite, professional and caring, which is very relieving, as I have severe anxiety, when it comes to medical treatments. I also noticed that King Street Dental Centre is extremely clean and their staff are continuously changing gloves and masks during my appointment, unlike previous dental clinics, that I have visited. The initial examination, X-rays and cleaning were completed without any pain and the hygienists explained each process in a way that I could understand. Dr. Reddy is well educated, skilled and mostly importantly a moral person, which is very important to me, as I experienced that she truly cares about my health and well-being. She had advised me well about my current oral health, walked me through future treatment plans and resolved conflicts with my financial situation. Dr. Reddy always explained the procedure before acting like when providing anesthesia and filling my cavities. The needle was really intimidating at first, but Dr. Reddy provided the anesthesia quickly and I felt a sense of safety. Dr. Reddy completed my fillings in a pain free manner and actually spent more time working on my teeth to ensure that my tongue was comfortable around the surfaces of my teeth. I truly cannot thank Dr. Reddy enough for all the care she has provided for me, despite my anxiety, finances and poor oral health. The staff are very friendly and made my best as possible experience. They are understanding and really informative on what it is before proceeding and what you want done to your teeth. Scammers, they said I was getting 3 cavities done then my bill was mailed and it was somehow 8 cavities? and $1600 when I told them I had OW insurance that they refuse to go through whatsoever. I rarely ever write Google reviews but this place definitely deserved one, I was having some problems with my teeth and pain and really needed a cleaning and this Clinic bent over backwards to fit me in multiple different days before my vacation so I could be confident and pain-free while I was away and no other clinics at the time we're willing to help me, they really care about their clients and business and you can read it all over their face right when you walk in the door, they're extremely organized and very helpful and very pleasant to deal with, I run a business myself and really would love to get my employees up to the level of the employees at this business. This is definitely not the run-of-the-mill dentist clinic I will for sure be recommending friends and family to this place as well as continuing to go here

Going to the dentist is no fun, but this place is honestly amazing. From the staff at reception, to the dental hygienists and Dr. Reddy, everyone is nothing but friendly and super helpful. This place always goes above and beyond. From the reception staff, and hygienists, to Dr Reddy herself, you will find genuine and friendly people dedicated to making your dental experience a pleasant one. Located in a renovated house on King Street in Waterloo, you will find dedicated parking, and easy access to transit or rail. Inside, is a clean modern experience with appointment reminders sent by text if you desire. Gentle knowledgeable staff will guide you through your appointment and treatment in a safe and clean environment. Yesterday I went to my appointment with a need for them to replace a large filling I had knocked out. Today I have my smile back, pain free to boot! You can’t find a better team to trust your pearly whites to. I guarantee it!

The staff are friendly, but the journey has had problems from the start. I came in to find out none of their equipment was working and instead of calling me to let me know they let me waste my day to come and leave. Generously they decided to not make me pay for that day (I didn't get to use any of the equipment. they checked my mouth and said they cant do anything until their equipment is online.) Things happen so I came again, got an X-Ray. I found my wisdom teeth were coming in and I scheduled that. payed for the X-Ray (I think it would have been reasonable to give me some discount for wasting my time last visit.) I come in to get my wisdom teeth pulled. they were really nice, but you can tell the doctor has done this procedure countless times as he has to much confidence with it. Instead of him doing the job accurately he'd rather do it with speed. He slipped and cut the top of the back of my mouth open (a part I could certainly feel that wasn't numbed) and he said whoops too much pressure. as he was getting my wisdom teeth he was resting his hand on my lip which was digging in my teeth. I let him know, but he continued to do it. I have 3 cuts on my lip because of him resting his had there pushing it against my teeth. Surgery went well besides the couple cuts he left unintentionally. Your visit may be different, but I certainly won't be coming back.

Fantastic dental care.Dr. Reddy and her staff are patient with their clients and won't be rude if you aren't the perfect patient. Their facilities are comfortable and they are very accommodating. They are able to work with you if you have trouble with your billing (even having an option for financing if the bill is way high) They process all benefits/insurance claims digitally, so their system is very convenient. I can not refer them enough.

I have been a client of King Street Dental for about 7 years now. My first visit was due to a quickly onset pain. I called as soon as they opened and they fit me in same day, having never seen me before. Their front desk associates are great at keeping track of your benefits, if you give them specifics. I would suggest booking early for prime times, like late afternoons or Saturdays. If you have no preference, you will likely be seen for a check up quickly. In the last couple of years I had two old fillings fall out. They got me in same day, both times!! I trust Dr Reddy completely. She makes recommendations, but has never tried to force anything on me. She takes the time to show me the problem in Xray form. The hygienists are very thorough, and always leave my mouth feeling very clean. Plus the "office" is non traditional and feels more like a home, which eases the anxiety.

I am usually very skeptical of dental offices, but King Street Dental managed to relieve that skepticism within my first visit. The staff were polite, and I was asked about my concerns regarding teeth treatment. Happy with my first visit (I had gone due to extreme pain from my wisdom teeth growing out, since I didn't want to pull them I wanted to make sure they were growing properly), I agreed to a cleaning that the receptionist had advertised as free of charge on my part since I had my student plan. I was told they were very familiar with the plan and reassured my cynicism towards the 'free' cleaning. The cleaning also went well, but I was still skeptical about the 'free' condition. Even after the treatment I waited to confirm with the receptionist. She assured me once again I have nothing to pay for. On the same visit I was told that I had four cavities that needed to be dealt with. Having done a lot of unnecessary dental work in the past, I was adamant about not doing the fillings, but felt pressured to book another appointment. So I finally agreed to do two of the four fillings. Throughout this time, the receptionists were very good with reminders and email corresponding. So why the two stars? Because 3 months after my cleaning, I received a bill for it of almost $200, and I needed to email 3 times and call twice over the course of two months regarding this before I received a proper response into how it was to be dealt with (I ended up paying for half). Because after the fillings were done, the numbing agent did not wear off after the 'maximum 2 hours', but after 6 hours. Because after the fillings were done, the two teeth that had originally no pain, were extremely sensitive - and 6 months later, still are. On my last visit there, I mentioned this and got a response of 'well, some people react differently to fillings'. Perhaps, but I have had fillings done before and this had never happened. I mentioned the pain a week after the fillings were done, and was asked to come in for a 'bite adjustment'. I was told the pain should go away within a week. I currently cannot chew foods, nor have any cold foods/drinks without pain. Even flossing around the two teeth is a daily test of my tolerance. I have therefore cancelled all future appointments with them. I only paid the bill because I wanted to have nothing to do with this office again. In all honesty, I desperately regret not waiting out the wisdom teeth pain (as I ended up doing anyway) to see my dentist back in the GTA. TL;DR: Politeness is one thing, but the misleading advertising and degradation of my oral health is another.
