Everyone at the practice is wonderful! From Janet at the front to Christine and Cathy who clean our teeth to Dr. Yu, the whole team is great! We were in today for my 4 yr old and I had to bring my 6 month old and 3 yr old and they were great never once making me feel like a burden or that we were in the way. Christine also has a wonderful way with kids and my daughter needed no prompting or emotional support throughout her cleaning, was completely at ease. Great team!

Dr. Yu and his staff at Dentistry in Waterloo, are exceptional! From the moment entering the office, I am greeted by the friendly staff to a bright, welcoming waiting area. It is obvious that the staff enjoy working for Dr. Yu and making patients feel as comfortable as possible. Dr. Yu takes the time to explain any areas of concerns, X-rays, photos and praise for the patient's good oral care. His professionalism and knowledge is refreshing and impressive. I didn't feel any discomfort while having an old filling replaced or side effects afterwards. I highly recommend Dentistry in Waterloo!

We take our young girls here and I can't say enough good things! Dr Yu is kind and efficient. More recently, Ryan (dental hygienist) took extra time and care to make our youngest feel at ease. He and the front desk staff (I didn't get her name) were patient and kind and went above and beyond to confirm my coverage. All this at the end of their work day too! Highly recommend them especially for kids!:)

I love that Friends is always on Netflix to take my mind off the cleaning. They even whitened my teeth for me as a wedding gift - how sweet! Love these guys!

Everyone is very professional right from the receptionist to Kathy and Dr Yu but, I had a filling yesterday and when I was getting my needle to numb my gums I felt a very painful burning sensation on my skin below my lips. I moaned to let them know and they quickly reacted by holding down my hands. I have never experienced anything like this. They said it happens and Dr Yu apologized. Luckily to he rest of the appointment went well.

Dr. Yu was my dentist. He is very skillful in filling and is always patient! He took good care of my teeth for two years. I really miss his clinic. :-)

My previous dentist was in Milton and I found myself not going as often as I should because of the distance. I decided to switch to Dr. Yu and had my first exam today with him and Cathy. They were both so friendly and made me feel so relaxed (any dentist office that can accomplish that is an automatic winner in my books!). Throughout the appointment they both told me what they were doing and explained why they were doing it--all in between friendly conversation. I felt like a guest rather than just a patient. Aside from all of this I found the office clean and updated, and the transfer of all of my old files was seamless. Dr. Yu's exam and consultation after was extremely thorough and he made sure I was aware of and understood all of my options for my care. Unlike with my previous dentist, I felt like visiting the dentist regularly wouldn't break the bank. All in all, a great transition to my new dentist.

My family and I have been receiving treatment with Dr. Yu for about two years. Very professional and understanding, you always get options for treatment, particularly for expensive procedures. They are very friendly to children and we all know that children tend to hate dentists above all health care professionals (dental clinics can be very scary indeed). They are very family oriented and you get that personal treatment not very common nowadays. You know your doctor cares about you when they ask you about things you talked during the last appointment, things like your trip to visit family in your home country, that sort of stuff. For the few that have had bad experiences in the clinic must have been misunderstandings. I'm not special by all means, in fact I was expecting to be treated like a temporary patient because I'm a student, instead I've got a very professional and compassionate treatment.

I went in to Dr.Yu's office to get a ceramic filling done. They have this very high-tech machine that makes your filling on the spot, so you only have to get numbed once. The needle was not painful, and everyone is very friendly and caring. Very happy with the outcome! Highly recommended.

He and his staff are genuinely nice and positive and they do everything to make me comfortable during appointments. The office has state-of-the-art technology, which helps diagnose dental issues. Watching Netflix during a cleaning and filling definitely helps to pass the time. I went for my first regular cleaning during the Covid 19 pandemic in mid August, and was made to feel very comfortable, safe and secure throughout the entire procedure. I returned a couple weeks later for a filling and again felt very safe in their environment! I just came back from my appointment here and it was great! I noted that I get anxious when I’m at the dentist’s office due to bad past experiences, and all the staff were really friendly and kept asking me how I was doing throughout the appointment and making sure I was okay. They take very good precautions for COVID and I felt very safe while I was there. Being able to choose a Netflix show to watch while everything was going on was an added bonus and a good distraction! The dentist sat with me and explained the results of my x-rays, showing me pictures so that I could understand exactly what I needed to get done and where. Overall, great experience!

Excellent dentist! He lets you know what is going on and what needs to be done. My last small filling did not even require a freezing (which is lovely because I have a fear of needles). In spite of the lack of freezing, between netlix and my former experiences with the pains braces, I found the discomfort to be only minor!

Seriously has been the BEST dentist I have experienced - and I've been to a lot... Very friendly receptionist, Idalia from the initial correspondence to coming into the office, and even when I was confused/disorganized with my insurance she was very understanding, patient and helpful. Amazing! She really set the tone for the experience. In terms of the dental work - they asked for and addressed any concerns I may have had as a new patient, the most comprehensive new patient exam that has ever been performed on me and the team walked me through every step when performing work. I got a cleaning and fillings and it was a pleasant experience where I got to watch the Netflix series and episode of my liking which really put me at ease. In terms of COVID-19 precautions I am very careful and this office is spotless and has air filtration systems in every room which are very powerful (they are loud!) which isn't mandated to have, but I very notably appreciated. This is amongst many other precautions they have put into place. Just really amazing. I felt safe and comfortable the whole time which is saying something since it's a dental office, and during a global pandemic. Thank you!

I think it is time to share my dental experience with Dr. Yu after 10 years of being his patient … It is a not simple experience as I had many problems related to the past treatments when I found Dr. Yu. Now looking back and seeing what Dr. Yu did for me I can say with the certain confident that I am really have got a right place to take care about me. Dr. Yu is the most experienced and knowledgeable dentist who I know. He is extremely carrying for all your needs and does not matter what kind and size of your needs, a very accurate and precise with every type of dental work! I have had with Dr. Yu many dental treatments in variable areas of dentistry (Crowns, Implants, teeth fillings and gum filling…) and all these cases are done in tremendous professional and intelligent way. He did my crowns and implants, and nobody can even distinguish them from my real teeth. With his modern dental equipment, you feel calmly and confident for the result of his work! Dr. Yu has also a close-knit team! His assistant Kathy is incredible person and outstanding professional as well as his office girls and hygienists! All of these important marks are the main reason for me to choose and stay further with Dr. Yu and his team. All my family and myself are very confident that we are now in right “hands” with Dr. Yu and his entire genial team, with all care they did for us and going to do further! I am always feeling so homy to be there….)

Very good disinfecting practices. Feel safe in the office. They have HEPA air filters and an aerosol suction device, plus individually sealed rooms. Great team who are compassionate and knowledgeable.

Just switched dentists after relocating to Waterloo and had a dental exam and cleaning. Dr. Yu is extremely kind and respectful; I really appreciated that he took the time with me to go through my x-rays and photos and explain everything to me thoroughly. Shout out to Cathy and Christine as well, they both very warm, knowledgable and made me feel at ease the entire time. You guys just made someone who used to despise the dentist really not mind it so much! Also loved being able to watch Netflix!

I have a needle phobia and needed some fillings, which required my mouth to be numbed. Cathy and Dr. Yu were very patient and accommodating of my phobia, and did everything to make sure I was as comfortable as possible. I don't think my fillings could have gone any better! It's not always easy to find medical professionals who are empathetic of my needle phobia, and I would recommend that anyone else with dental anxiety go see these lovely people!

Outstanding experience at Dentistry in Waterloo. Great service, friendly and skilled staff across the board, thorough explanations of everything they found and reasons for any work required. I have insurance which covers my expenses for dental, but the pricing and speed of service here is top-notch. I have never experienced any delays during visits, plus Netflix during your apportionment is a bonus. Cannot recommend strongly enough!
