Dr. Jeff is amazing! I hated going to the dentist because it was so painful but I saw Dr. Jeff twice this week and he blew my mind with his care and concern. He froze me and I didn't feel a thing which has never happened. He then followed up the next day with a phone call to make sure I was doing okay. I have a hard time with freezing but Dr. Jeff researched and made sure I was frozen. He listens to you and generally cares. This is huge for me! He has changed my view of going to the dentist. The Applewood Dental Centre is a great place to go. They have great online systems for letting you know that you have an appointment coming up. The staff is friendly and efficient. I've never spent more than 10 minutes in the waiting room. If you are looking for a dentist I recommend them.

Had an emergency extraction with Dr. Nguyen. He did an amazing job! my wisdom tooth wasn't all the way out and he was able to extract it without leaving any bruising. Not only that, but they were able to fit me in the same day I called. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

I've been with Applewood Dental Centre since I was a student at UW. I had a bad experience with a dentist back home and I refused to return. I found Applewood on my own and gave them a try. Debbie was courteous and inviting and helped get all my insurance stuff in order. I've had work done with Dr. Lenizky and he's always been straight forward and cordial. Mary Lou and Ashleigh and taken care of me during my cleaning visits. I've enjoyed the team that when I remained in K-W after school, I brought my wife and now children to the practice. We've been faithful customers for over 18 years. Has it really been that long?

ive been coming here since i was born and i have never ever had a bad experience in the last 19 years! every staff member is so pleasant to talk to and always so accomodating. just spoke on the phone to book an appointment with a receptionist and she was so sweet and detailed! in addition, dr. nguyen really knows what hes doing 100% of the time. my entire family comes here and none of us have ever had a poor experience. all of my sisters and i have never been able to relate to kids who are scared of the dentist because at applewood, the receptionists and dr. nguyen are all so kind, and our appointments have always been made painless. i actually have really good memories at the dentist, of watching sabrina the teenage witch here with my sisters in their tv room and getting free pencils and stickers when we were younger. we live in guelph and we still make the drive out to waterloo because it is so worth it. 10/10 would recommend to everyone!!

I never understood why people hated the dentist because I grew up coming here. After every visit, I feel like my teeth are expertly taken care of and there is never any pain! Because I live far away, I switched dentists for a bit but will never do that again. I realized the experience is much more enjoyable and less painful at Applewood because of the extra care they put into their work. I normally don’t write reviews, but as a dental patient of Dr. Thelam Nguyen for more than 10 years, I feel compelled to write this one. Dr. Nguyen is not just a good dentist, but also a very kind human being who seems to genuinely care about his patients. Whether it’s doing his utmost to ensure that you have a painless dental experience, or taking the time to patiently answer your questions, Dr. Nguyen is one of those rare dental professionals who clearly loves his work and wants to do the best job possible for his patients. Dr. Nguyen also seems to be great with kids. The calm, friendly and well organized atmosphere at Applewood Dental Centre, and the efficiency and friendliness of all its support staff that I have met over the past 10 years, also reflect very well on the clinic and the human resource management skills of Dr. Nguyen and his partner dentist Dr. Lenizky (who I have not personally met, but have seen around). Regrettably for Waterloo, Dr. Nguyen is gradually shifting his dental practice to Burlington, Ontario, to be closer to his family and home in a nearby city. Fortunately for those in Burlington, you will now be able to benefit from a wonderful family dental professional.

Dr. Lenizky is an excellent dentist. He is friendly and genuinely cares about his patients. But most importantly he knows what he is doing and takes the time to do things right. I had a botched filling done at another dentist, and even after they re-filled it, I was in a lot of pain. I came to see Dr. Lenizky and right away he knew what the problem was. He explained to me very clearly (and showed me using the X-rays), how the filling was done wrong. He re-filled it and the pain was completely gone. I've been going to Applewood since then and it's always been a positive experience. I have the confidence that my dental health is in good hands.

I've been going to Applewood Dental Centre since I was a little kid. Now, as I prepare to turn the big 3-0 I can say that they continue to provide a great service. The hygienists are friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. Dr. Lenizky is great as well. Yesterday he helped to fix a chipped tooth and today I can't even tell that it was chipped. Highly recommend!

I am Hoa Nguyen's sister (who wrote the review below me) and I can confirm everything she wrote! Dr. Nguyen is amazing and patient. I came to Canada at 8 years old, with crooked and awful teeth and he made my experience as a child so painless. The receptionists at this centre are also amazing! I am a working student so my hours are extremely hard to get around yet they are always able to accommodate me. They are also very understanding when I tell them that I want to wait for my student dental coverage to kick in before I go in for a check-up. I get no judgement at all and they would call me back when September comes along so they can schedule me in.
