Kingsway Knight and Dental Centre offers excellent care for your teeth. Friendly staff and respectful. People generally don't like going to the dentist. But I found that the staff here make it as pleasant as possible coming to your dentist and keeping your teeth as healthy as possible. This dental office offered me service beyond excellence the I moment I walked in. Angela, who serves the role as dental hygienist, performed what I consider a very thorough cleaning and x-raying of my teeth and gums. She put great effort into ensuring that the procedure would be as close to painless as possible. As well, Dr. Liu took the time to conduct a methodical examination of the overall health of my teeth. In addition, to top it off, Elaine, who was the receptionist on duty that day, worked out all the payment details and also carefully scheduled my next appointment—making sure that it would be convenient for me. All in all, a great visit for sure as the fine folks here all did their jobs admirably. Will most definitely be coming back here for any future dental services. Absolutely recommend this place to anyone who is in search of a great dentist that will look after their dental needs with the utmost care. A truly well-deserved 5-Stars from my point of view with regards to their work and level of service. Simply exceptional.

Today I came in for a long overdue cleaning and checkup. Initially, I was very nervous and prepared to hear the worst about my dental health. However, from the beginning of my appointment to the end, I had an amazing and comfortable experience. I was greeted by the receptionist, Elaine, who was very sweet and booked me a spot the day after I made a booking. My hygienist, Angela, was really welcoming, friendly, and knowledgeable. I was able to tell her about all my concerns about my dental health and get lots of advice from her. My dentist, Dr. Liu, was also very informative and told me everything I needed to know about the current state of my teeth. Overall, I am beyond happy that I still come to this dental office. I've been coming here for as long I could remember! I'm excited to see the staff once again in 6 months for another checkup and cleaning that's *not* overdue this time :) Thanks again!

I visited this dental once months ago. because i wanted to find another dental that is closer to me. It was very disappointing. 1. they secretly charged me a full checking price which only available once a year for my school insurance, but they only just performed a X ray scan!! Me and my old dentist figured that Because my x ray insurance quota was used in that year already, so they had to charge me a full checking price after the service so that i can claim my insurance!! But before my visit, they did NOT tell me my x-ray quota was gone for that year although I have asked them twice!! Until I went back to my old dentist, he told me Alta had charged me a full scan service, which they shouldn't have, because they did NOT perform the full service!!! And Alta DID NOT inform me that they have charged me a full checking price on my insurance when I paid the bill!! 2. when my dentist called Alta to request my x-ray, they promised that they would send it, But guess what, NEVER! My dentist never gets the x-ray record from them. 3. They were very forceful on convincing me to get all 4 of my wisdom teeth out at the same time!! which they can have less work, and what's more irritating is that when my old dentist checked back on my teeth, he told me they are NOT supposed to ask me to remove 2 of my wisdom teeth, because in my situation, I need them to match and bite with my lower teeth. But luckily, I did not revisit Alta to remove my teeth after the x ray. I will NOT recommend this dental clinic to any one, I don't think they are ethical or professional in what they are doing. Trying to act like a hotel service Does NOT work in health service!! I feel scammed even just 1 visit!! Can't believe what they would do to other clients...And their price is higher than the average cost of comparing with my previous dental clinics and my friends'. They even constantly sent me text message to ask me to write a 5 stars Google review for them , well good luck!!

Everyone from the dental centre was nice and friendly. The receptionist welcomed me following with my name right when I opened the door. Angela, my dental hygienist, was gentle on my teeth and kept me accompanied throughout the whole appointment. Overall the experience was exceptional. I came in for a regular semi annual check up/ examination. Having lived in many cities in North America and having been to many dental clinics, I would recommend Alta.

I went for an invisalign consultation and the dentist was professionally thorough and brought up other issue for me to consider before I make my final decision. Dr. Cheung has been my dentist since I was a kid. He would talk to me and crack up jokes because he knew I was scared. Now that I’m older, I feel comfortable whenever I go in for my appointments because I know he will make sure that I’ll be okay and that everything gets done smoothly. Kristin has been assisting Dr. Cheung for the last couple appointments I had and she’s amazing. She makes sure I’m okay and also informed me on what to do after wisdom removal. Elaine, the receptionist, was able to put me in after I was worried that my stitches came out. All the staff members are really friendly and caring.

Nice relaxing experience despite having dental work done. This place is really really clean with modern dental technology. When I checked my estimates and invoices, the fees are on par with the current BC dental fee schedule. They provide comfortable headphones to watch Netflix so I can relax. Angela was very caring and patient in educating me the proper way to use the electric brush and proper flossing technique so that my gum recession doesn’t worsen. I've always been uncomfortable at the dentist but through a friend's recommendation, I found myself at Alta Dental Studio (formerly known as Kingsway Knight Dental). I went to my appointment with my partner and we were immediately greeted by Karlene, the receptionist. She is super bubbly and friendly, and quick to service us! I also noted that she had really strong product knowledge too! My partner went straight to Dr. Liu, and because I was only scheduled for a cleaning, I was called in promptly by the hygienist, Angela. Her chair-side manners are very professional and patient care is extremely genuine. You can tell she really cares if you're feeling comfortable or not by periodically asking if you're doing okay, especially if she notices you shifting in the chair. Upon completion of my cleaning, I was greeted again by Karlene to talk about our next appointment. I greatly appreciated how prompt the entire appointment seemed, and I am looking forwards to seeing the gang again in 6 months' time!

So grateful to Dr. Cheung and the staff at Alta dental for taking care of me today. I called them in the morning with an emergency, having never been there before, they saw me the same morning and I was treated so well. I was in unbearable tooth pain, hadn't slept or eaten in days, high fever, just a general mess. He was very sympathetic and caring and it made me feel less embarrassed for crying in his office. The tooth needed to be pulled, I knew it would be a painful experience because of the infection but I couldn't wait, I needed it out of my face. He was efficient and quick, very professional and the hygenist was wonderful. It made what could have been a horrible ordeal at a lesser dentist's office bearable and such a huge relief after it was done. I'm so glad I was recommended to them and highly recommend this dental office to anyone who needs a caring and professional staff to take care of their dental needs.

Reception was clean and professional. Making an appointment was easy. They had called to do pre claim inquiry before my appointment so I kne whow much I would have to pay. The dental hygenist, dentist and assistant all answered my questions with great details and with multiple options. It was nice to have the option to watch tv while getting my teeth cleaned as a distraction. The time estimate I received for the appointment was also accurate. I didn't have any major dental work done yet but I recommend it for thoroughness, cleanliness, and accuracy.

I came for a regular dental checkup and clean. Service was great and very professional. The dental clinic is located upstairs with helpful receptionists. The hygienist and dentist were polite and quite friendly. The cleaning procedure did not feel clinical. Instead it was a very comfortable and easy atmosphere where I could relax. The hygienist was extremely nice and had an upbeat attitude. She also provided a complimentary warm moist towelette and a cute goody bag. I would recommend for a friend.

Recently, I visited this clinic on two separate occasions. Once for a teeth-cleaning procedure, and once to replace some old fillings. I left feeling very happy after each time. The service was fantastic, as Dr. Liu, Angela, and Karlene all took it upon themselves to ensure that I would be treated well. All were extremely professional in their duties. Equally as important, they were also very courteous and friendly towards me. Dr. Liu both examined and repaired my teeth to perfection. He also made sure to fully address any issues and concerns I had regarding the condition of my teeth both pre-procedure and post-procedure. Angela, the hygienist, was very careful in cleaning my teeth. She did her best to be gentle in her work, so as to reduce the amount of pain I would feel while my teeth were being scaled and polished. After cleaning my teeth, she provided me with a warm, moist towel for me to comfortably sooth my lip area. As well, she gave me an oral health package which included a toothbrush, toothpaste, and dental floss. That was a very kind and thoughtful gesture. Karlene was excellent at assisting Dr. Liu during the procedure to replace my old fillings. Even more so, she performed well when it came to handling the administrative portion of my visits. She ensured that the insurance company would cover the vast majority of the costs associated with both the teeth-cleaning and filling-replacement procedures. Ultimately, this greatly reduced the amount I ended up having to pay out of my own pocket. Her helpful and cheerful attitude certainly made both visits here all that more pleasant. Overall, the level of service offered on both occasions was fabulous. This place is just awesome. Looking towards the future, I will most definitely continue to trust the fine folks at Kingsway Knight Dental Centre to look after all my dental needs. Therefore, I strongly recommend Dr. Liu and his team to anyone in search of a great dental clinic.

I went into this clinic for a teeth cleaning procedure and came out more than satisfied. Their level of service was truly first-rate. Dr. Liu, Angela, and Karlene all went out of their way to ensure that I had the best experience possible during my visit. They all exhibited a high degree of professionalism in their work. They were also a very friendly and polite group, which made it all that much better. Not only did Dr. Liu perform an extremely thorough examination of my teeth, he also took the time to address any concerns and issues I had regarding my oral health. He was very patient in listening to and answering all my questions. As for Angela, the hygienist, she took great care in scaling and polishing my teeth. Along the way, she tried her hardest to ensure the level of pain I felt as a result of her actions was kept to an absolute minimum. Hence, the gentle manner in which she scaled and polished my teeth. She even took the time to demonstrate the proper technique in which to floss my teeth. At the end, she gave me an oral health kit which included a toothbrush, tube of toothpaste, and some dental floss, which was certainly very thoughtful and nice. In addition to that, Karlene, who served the role of receptionist on that day, was more than helpful in looking after the administrative side of things. She did her best in ensuring my insurance would cover the costs of my procedure to a maximum, so as to significantly reduce the amount I would have to pay out of my own pocket. She was also very flexible when it came to scheduling my next appointment. Her easy-going and helpful manner wrapped up what was an overall pleasant experience. All in all, the service provided was beyond excellent. I will surely continue to come here for all my dental needs for the foreseeable future. This place is a real gem. Thus, for anyone in search of a dental clinic, I would strongly and most definitely recommend Dr. Liu and his team as an option.

Alta Dental is a great dental office. Great location, lots of parking and a bus stop right in front. From the receptionist to the cleaning, they are professional, courteous and knowledgeable. Karlene is a wonderful person to deal with and all registration, appointments and payments are done quickly and efficiently. Angela is a fantastic hygienist. She makes the time fly by with hilarious stories and a great personality; I almost forget I'm getting my teeth scraped with a metal object. LOL! All kidding aside, Alta Dental is perfect place for new patients or people looking for a change from their current practice.

I went in with a horrible toothache. I had not been able to chew for a week on that side of my mouth. I was pretty scared but the only part that hurt at all was the needle to numb the location and that was only bad because i had left it so long. (pro tip: don't wait ) The dentist was very knowledgeable and precise. He was not fussed at all to have to pull that tooth out. He gave me the option of saving it via a root canal but i was totally done with that tooth by the time I got there. An hour or so later I left minus one tooth and some infected mouth material and did not have ANY more pain. Even when the freezing wore off! They gave me a syringe and some after care stuff and i have to confess something a little weird. There is a particularly odd pleasure in using a syringe to push warm salt water into the hole where my molar used to be. It's like scratching an itch you didn't know you had. I would definitely recommend the experience as a part of a full life. You don't want to have to do it too many times , but, like buying cream of tartar, once is okay.

With a new doctor and some new support staff, plus changes undertaken to modernize dental procedures, they offer a wide-range of dental services to look after the specific needs of each and every patient. The team there exhibits top-notch professionalism and care into every single procedure carried out—all in a safe, clean setting. On top of that, they are exceptionally courteous and kind, which brings comfort to patients during each visit. But most of all though, they are simply dedicated to providing the very best in dental care. So for anyone who is looking around Vancouver in search of a trusted dental practice, definitely give the fine folks at Alta Dental Studio a try. Highly recommend them.

I was extremely nervous before and after my wisdom teeth extraction. However, the dentist was amazing and it has been 5 weeks since the extracting with no complications so far. The area was constantly cleaned and disinfected.

They can email receipts instead of printing. All this to say; they're at a modern tech tier, which makes them stand out from every other dentist I've had. Most recently, I scheduled an appointment here for a teeth cleaning procedure. After it was all said and done, I most definitely can say that I made the right choice in coming here. The reason is simple. They provided me with first-rate service, while exhibiting an extremely high degree of professionalism in their duties. For starters, Kristin performed a soothing, comfortable cleaning and polishing of my teeth. As well, Dr. Liu did an admirable job in conducting a methodical, but gentle, inspection of the health of my teeth and gums. In addition to that, Elaine was more than helpful in working out payment details and scheduling an appointment for a future visit. To top it off, despite not having been worked on by Dr. Cheung on this day, he still took the time to chat with and check up on me to see how I was doing, which was very considerate of him. In the end, my visit was for sure a most pleasant experience. Very nice indeed. Can say with certainty that I will keep coming back here for my dental needs. "The new crew taking over this location are friendly, efficient, and listen to my concerns. I don't live anywhere near here and was only coming by because of the original dentist. Now after a few visits with the new bunch, I plan to continue the drive out to see them. It's true about it being hard to find good dentists; I don't plan to let a good thing go." It’s not the closest dental clinic from home but it’s worth the commute! Dr. Liu became my new dentist since Dr. Cheung is half-retired. I was very worried and doubted him at first because he’s so young! I’m glad I gave him a chance because he’s definitely my favourite dentist (I was with 2 other dental clinics and had 4 other dentists before). This is a really great dental practice. I have had appointments with both the dentists and they were both super nice, and explained everything. Their prices are also very good, and I was pleasantly surprised when I was having a filling done, and during the process my dentist realized the decay was more shallow than he had thought from xrays, and changed it to a fissure sealant and charged me only around 1/3rd of the quoted price. On top of that they are quite conservative in their treatment, and happy to watch any issues and offer preventative treatments like fluoride application to early decay, in order to avoid any future fillings, rather than jumping straight to drilling (which is what I have experienced with some other dental practices.) I really appreciate this approach and I find it very professional; I trust the dentists at this practice. Receptionist and hygienists are always really friendly and accommodating, and remember who I am. 10/10 would recommend.

I highly recommend Alta Dental, the facility is clean, well organized and high tech. From walking in I felt welcome and was attended to immediately, they had a short new admission form when was done on an iPad. The hygienist I had that did my cleaning was well educated and did an amazing join, I had no issues. They had all the tech needed for my needs and even more. The dentist afterwards was through and explained everything. All the staff was amazing, I actually enjoyed going. The only thing I didn’t love was that they do not do direct billing to your benefits, so you do have to pay up front. However they do fill out the forms and send in the claim for you, but depending what you need done you have to have the funding upfront.

I had been a patient at Kingsway Knight Dental Centre for over 20 years 'till the present time. Dr. Albert Cheung was my dentist ever since until he retired. He was a very good Dentist, very friendly caring and so with his staff. Service is great. Every time I come to this place for treatment and check up there's always a warm welcome and feeling of comfort. It's still the same until now with Dr. Liu. He is very good and so accomodating. There was a time few weeks ago, I was going for a holiday. Two days prior on my departure I experience a terrible tooth ache and I was so worried that I had to call them and make an appointment to see my Dentist. And I was very glad that the receptionist arrange me a time to see Dr. Liu on the same day inspite of the fact that they were fully booked. Dr. Liu and his staff was so accomodating and patiently attend to my needs and did a root canal on my teeth. I was very glad and thankful to Dr. Liu and his staff that they were able to cure the pain on my my teeth. I could have suffer the pain on my teeth throughout my holiday if I did'nt have come and see my Dentist. Thanks to you all at Kingsway Knight Dental Centre. I would never recommend this place to my family and friends. I had my fillings done here on Feb 16 and Feb 23 2022. However, while I was still under the influence of the freezing drug, they sneaked an extra charge for a tooth which when later questioned they say I still owed them. I told them that as per my memory on Feb 16, I don’t recall the dentist ever drilling the tooth on the bottom right. However, today they showed me a photo of the before and after of what appears to be a dab of white on the bottom right tooth being charged. I have insurance coverage, and I’m not in the business of haggling for $28. But I do feel that if you enter this clinic, you do have to be careful whether they’ll perform an operation on your tooth just for the insurance money. While I do like the nurse and the dentist, I’m giving them a 1 star here for sneaking in the extra charge on to my credit card on Feb 23 without my awareness nor permission. Questionable ethic and would never come back here again.

I'm sorry, I have never encountered such a situation - I was not able to receive a full dental cleaning in just one single visit?! And they charged me for full and book me for an extra appointment and tell me it may cost another $250 depending on my situation. To be honest, I have my regular dental cleaning once a year in different dentists, and none of them would need me to visit them twice just for regular cleaning. They are normally able to finish my scaling in half an hour. But at Alta, I only had just about 1/4 of my teeth cleaned in 1 hour, leaving me 3/4 to be serviced. The person who served me is very gentle in doing her job, I can feel that, but if that efficiency would affect my payment then I don't think it's reasonable. Would you pay more than $550 for a regular dental cleaning? Is dental cleaning charged per visit basis or time-basis? If it is the latter then I was not being informed properly, nor I don't think it's the common practice. Another interesting thing is I also booked for a free Invisalign consultation that was supposed to be carried out right after the cleaning. I thought the dentist would go through my situation with me with the many x-rays/scans/photographs that they have taken on me. But she just communicated with her assistant and make the marking on their papers/system, then had the assistant walk me out to the receptionist who told me they would refer me to an orthodontist for another consultation. It would depend on whom they would refer me to and some, as the receptionist said, could be a chargeable service. Well, should the dentist at least explain to me my situation with the photos on hand, and why she would not able to help but send me to an orthodontist? I feel scammed. The numerous positive reviews are kind of marketing as they would send an SMS to ask for a review for their so-called 5-star service. Well, I guess, if I found them satisfactory, I won't hesitate to give them 5 stars if they want it (people tend to do it only when you are asked for, even though it's just an automated system messaging) but my first experience is totally unsatisfactory. I would appreciate if they could pay more attention to the professional service that I mentioned above rather just giving smiles and socializing with clients and ask for 5 stars.

Had my upper wisdom tooth removed and from start to finish, i had no qualms during the whole procedure. Dr. Liu and karlene made me feel comfortable and was informing me on what to expect next during process. They provided me some pre-meds which made the discomfort management waaaaaaay tolerable afterwards. A+ on that !! The follow up call to see how i was doing at the end of the day is the icing on the cake! Thank you Alta dental studio! thumbs up! I've been coming to this dental location for well over 30 years and I am compelled to say that the experience over that span just keeps getting better. Throughout that time Dr. Albert Cheung and his staff met my dental needs in a skilled and caring fashion. I was always aware of the honesty and friendliness that was given. When I realized that Dr. Cheung was going to hand over his practice to a new dentist I was a little concerned. To my delight and complete surprise I found that the transition itself was so smooth. The two teams worked together side by side while bringing the patients into this positive and energized environment. Dr. Jason Liu has upgraded the system with some technical features that are most helpful. To meet the dental centre's core values and mission statement he has brought with him some excellent staff (that I lightheartedly refer to as tooth fairies). Angela, the hygienist is very good with her skills and is excellent at explaining the procedures while putting the patient at ease. I found the receptionist to be very helpful and efficient. They are a professional team that offers the warmth of a family as you do feel that they have your best interest at heart.

Had cleaning done by the hygienist and dentist. Very attentive and asked if i was ok during my procedure couple times. Gums had that tenderness feeling that i always LOVE after a thorough cleaning!! And also that goodie bag i received after being such a star patient. Haha dentist did an exam and explained xrays needed to be updated yearly so he can observe the tooth roots, bone structure underneath the gum tissues and areas between the teeth. Thats where cavities are most susceptible and is invisible to the naked eye!! Luckily no cavities for me :) love coming back here every 6 months for a checkup!! 2 thumbs up. PS - easiest way to park is the area behind the dollar store across the street!!
