Been going there about a decade, it's been a different dentist each time I go. They put you in a chair then leave for 45 minutes. Put up with a lot and the one time I miss an appointment they want money! Just received a call to see if I wanted to schedule a cleaning and before I could answer she asked if I wanted them to deactivate my chart! What!?! Upon further reflection, I think I will have them deactivate my chart. Even with a dentist, it would be nice to have continuity of care and some value for my time.

Not a good experience at all. In response to the other reviews, there is no Doctor there named Mike, so I don't know which dentist they loved so much. I had Dr. Ray Han and his bedside manner is horrible. No information given on procedures to prepare the patient and instead of talking to the patient he just chats with the assistant in the room. I got to hear lots about his upcoming wedding but not much about my actual teeth. During this time I was receiving 5 fillings which I had been unaware of the # until after the teeth had already been drilled. Dr. Ray seemed very rushed during my procedure and when removing a dental metal matrix band, I was struck in the face. I was also misdiagnosed, which I found out after my bad experience while getting a second opinion from a new dentist. I was told at Mike's that I needed to see a specialist about my gums and according to the new office, my gums are healthy. The misdiagnosis that bothers me most of all, is the whole reason I went to Mike's for my first appointment. I had tooth sensitivity to sweet on one of my front teeth. When I had something sweet it would throb for about an hour after, even if I brushed it. Dr. Ray said it was because I grind my teeth at night. The new dentist took an x-ray and found a large cavity. I now need a root canal. I wonder if Dr. Ray had looked more closely at it 8 months ago, instead of rushing through my appointments that I could have been able to get a filling then, rather than a root canal now.

Fantastic people and service. Personable, love sharing stories. As for the dental aspect, they actually take the time to numb you before injecting freezing so you don't feel anything ever. It was fantastic. I dont get to say that about dentists often. I needed a filling replaced on a tooth that had chipped. Definitely recommended.

I am speechless about this place, honestly. I have been visiting Mike the Molar since December for much needed dental work. I suffer from extreme anxiety and the staff have been more than accomodating. They were all so very patient and kind, explained in great detail any procedures. Gentle during any dental work. I have had a severe overbite for majority of my life. My teeth were crooked and at this point, unsalvagable. I was tired of the pain and the look of them were awful causing me self esteem issues for a long time. Mike the Molar has worked with me for months and finally today, I recieved a full top denture by Dr. Steve. He is such a pleasant person and my denture is absolutely perfect. I dont think I have ever smiled this much before. I cried happy tears today. Thank you to everyone at Mike the Molar for your hard work and patience with this. For making me feel so cared for and welcome. For giving me nack some confidence. I couldnt be anymore happier right now! I highly recommend this place!

Recently Dr. Fadi Swaida did extractions for me at Mike the Molar. The appointment was quick, painless and I didn't even know he was finished and I was already ready to go. Great Doctor, Trenton is blessed to have him.

GO SOMEWHERE ELSE DO NOT DO BUSINESS HERE. They screwed my friend over. She didn't show up to her appointments she asked for reminders due to memory issues because of medical reasoning. They never reminded her even though she called to update her phone number because she missed 2 visits she is no longer accepted to be a patient because of 2 no shows your on your own. They never reminded her so that was their fault. They screwed up her teeth she called and complain about food being stuck and inflamed gums and Dr Perley did the extractions. They claim she never called in about her problems which is BULL that was a lie. I felt they treat their patients with this policy like crap. Recently found another dentistry office. They treat her much better and they call and remind her of her appointment coming up. Sad really they treat her horribly and accuse her of things

I'm currently angry with them. I called and asked if they could x-Ray me while pregnant because I knew I had cavities and they refused to answer my question, insisting first that I come in for a "consultation". So after sitting me in the chair for less than 5 minutes and "informing" me that yes I have a cavity, only then would they tell me no. I cannot get x-Rays while pregnant and then they charged me $100. So mad.

They are always so friendly and welcoming at the centre. All of my questions and concerns are met with empathetic and professional responses. Appointments are on time and no long wait times. They also have been able to get me in quickly when having issues with a tooth in the past. I would highly recommend them to anyone!

Do not use, this dental office has very poor customer service skills. Every time I've had to speak with the older woman at reception she's always been rude. Then wait until you've had your appointment and they take you out to talk about payment- all air of friendliness and customer service goes right out the door and the woman they leave you to deal with is also extremely rude. If I'm at the dentist office I obviously have money to pay for my appointment. Whether you get it ALL that day or I come back in the next day to pay off the remaining balance, use a credit card, wait for my insurance to go through, etc trust me money grubbers you'll get your money. Only positive thing about the experience was the male dentist and the female hygienist were actually very friendly. I've been told around town though that other dental offices are extremely kind to their patients and are just as, if not more knowledgeable. This office used to be a great place back when the original Mike the Molar worked here. Since then he's moved on to another area or possibly even retired now. Will be switching to another office for sure.

I've taken myself an my 4 daughters to Mike the molar for the last year almost 2. They always call a couple days prior to apt to remind me. An they are all very patient. My kids have had cavities filled teeth taken out an cleaning done. An we've had no issues . I think they are doing a great job.

I would not recommend this dentist to any one ! There has been many different dentist in this office you never know who you are getting to work on your mouth. The office staff use vaulgour language toward you ! They do work that is not needed and tell you after they do the work now you are the one left paying for this work ! They are not compassionate, helpful their main focus is to make money not their patients and their needs ! They give false and misleading information about your dental health! The patient does not have a choice on a treatment plan if you don't follow what they say then you no longer have any warranty on the work they have done ! The dentist and staff are very unprofessional!

I called reception on Easter Monday and to my amazement they were open even with this pandemic. I proceeded to explain my daughter's fake front tooth had begun to chip. I explained I didn't know if this was considered emergency but she would like the chip fixed so it didn get worse and for the simple fact she's 17 and it is her front tooth. The lady who answered the phone proceeded to ask me questions about the type of tooth which I didn't know off hand so she elaborated by asking "is there metal" "is it a cap" I said no it's neither and she said it must be (and she named type of) filling. I said sounds familiar yes I believe its a filling. I just want to point out that at no point was I asked about pain or sensitivity she may be experiencing. She then asked do I have benefits to which I said yes and she explained they are not able to do direct billing. I said this may be a problem for me as I dont have money but will keep the appointment in case my situation changes. Appointment was made for Thursday April 16th. 4 days later. This morning we manage to come up with $800 ( me knowing fillings are expensive). So for the sake of knowledge because I am still worried I call this morning and ask am I allowed to come (as I wasn't sure of their rules) they recommended it as she's underage. I then proceed to say I only managed to get $800 together ( part of my rent and grocery money as I'm not working like so many of us) the older lady who answered the phone asks what she's having done. I explain chipped tooth I was told she needs a filling. She says she's only booked for 30 min it won't cost $800. I also know fillings don't take long so I say great. This is the second person I have talked to who doesn't tell me they are unable to use the waterpik as mandated by the government at this time so they CAN NOT DO FILLINGS. We go to the appointment and are charged $190 for an emergency visit and tooth desensitizing gel (orajel which I have and they could have suggested had they asked). They did nothing to her tooth to fix the chip which was the reason we went! I said to the receptionist if you can't do fillings we would have waited.. why didn't someone tell me. (This is the same lady I talked to this morning). Both receptionists start going on about regulations etc. I am fuming at this point as they clearly knew they couldn't do a filling 4 days ago and said nothing, I pay the bill and leave. I go home to submit my claim online to find out its not even covered so I'm now out $190. I would do anything for my kids so in the end it's not about the money. They explained they couldn't use certain equipment and so they knew based on my description they couldn't do anything for her and even after I said I dont have the money to pay up front, they still booked the appointment and now I lost almost $200 for nothing. Its great they are helping people during all this but they knew there was a significant chance they couldn't help my daughter and still they said nothing to indicate that to me during either phone call and used the 'orajel' as a way to say they did something AND THAT COST ME $57. I will point out that my spouse then called asking about the same problem to see what they would say and they were ready to book him in without saying that they can't fix it either! Don't waste my time or yours when someone you can help could have had that time slot and I now need to come up with $190 for nothing. So upset. I also want to point out that the dentist Perley Weaver didn't even wear a mask!

Amazing dentist I hate visiting the dentist. However I felt completely comfortable at this office. Not only was I comfortable I was well informed upon leaving. My dentist explained all my options moving forward and recommended certain paths over others. He explained everything including timelines and was able to come up with a plan that worked financially and that fit into my lifestyle The hygienist was equally amazing she did the x rays very quickly and ensured I was comfortable while standing in the machine. I highly recommend this dentist

I called on Monday to enquire about my infected and broken tooth getting pulled as I was in a lot of pain and my face was swollen. I was given a Thursday appointment. Later on monday the reception called to offer me an earlier Thursday appointment. On Wednesday I was called by reception to confirm my Appointment. On Thursday 50 minutes before my appointment the reception called me to confirm I was in a lot of pain as she started they could see me earlier if I wanted to come in earlier to get my teeth pulled. The dentist came in and immediately told me they can't do anything as they've been told by the government a week ago they cannot treat patients. I complained saying I drove over 40 minutes to get here and spoke with the receptionist multiple times who never once told me they couldn't pull my teeth. Instead she confirmed they would be able to. The dentist shrugged told me all he could offer me was pain meds. The reception then gave me a 100$ for an emergency dental visit charge for the 2 minute conversation I had with the dentist. I believe I was deliberately scammed as the dentist who refused to provide his name stated they have known for weeks no work could be done. But I spoke with the receptionist 4 times within 4 days- one being less than an hour before my appointment and everytime I was assumed my teeth would get pulled. AVOID THIS DENTIST AD THR PRACTISE IS A SCAM!!! ***Edit to add I got in touch with another dentist in Cobourg who saw me right away and prescribed me antibiotics and is pulling my tooth out on Monday, proving further that Mike the Molar lied about not being able to do dental work.

I love my experienced at mike the molar, there have been a couple of occasions where I had some real pain and they rushed me in to see them no problem. Not so sure where the last review came from, seems to be mostly hearsay as someone is speaking on behalf of someone else. And I don't know of any medical facility where it is their responsibility to continuously remind you about appointments. The Doctors here are fantastic and my teeth are always super clean when I leave :)
