Dr. Craft removed my wisdom teeth in the summer of 2016. 2 weeks post surgery when I was still having intense pain in the right side of my jaw, he told me it was just sore from the extraction. He then prescribed me weeks worth of toradol with refills. The pharmacist was in disbelief when they saw the prescription. Toradol shouldnt be taken for more than a week as it can seriously damage your stomach if used too much.
After being fed up with the excuses, my general dentist referred me to an orthodontist in Fredericton. After my exam, the orthodontist told me that the disc on the right side of my jaw was out of place and therefore my bite was off, and this was causing the pain. He said the cause was likely that Dr.Craft had my mouth open too wide for too long without resting it during the extraction. I just want to add that this orthodontist was a periodontic specialist as well, is a past president of the New Brunswick Dental Society, having served as a committee member and on the Board of Directors. He knows what he's talking about.
I had a splint, went to physiotherapy, and got braces. I get that perhaps I was susceptible to TMJ issues and maybe something would have caused these issues for me later in life, but that doesn't excuse Dr.Craft's lack of care AND professional manner when I went to speak to him about it. Fast forward to now, I still have my braces on and it has almost been 4 years with them. I love my orthodontists, they have been wonderful. My experience with Dr.Craft, however, was pretty god awful. Look for someone else.
