So I just got back from the Pelham road dental , and let's just say that basically he said you messed up my tooth. He thinks you didn't put and base in and could have caused an affection. Now I have to get my filling that you did drilled out and they have to put a base and a new filling. They were amazing. Never coming back to lake again lol

Rating would be zero but it's not an option. I have a serious tooth infection which needed antibiotics which I am taking at the moment. To be fair, I didn't explain my situation but asked if they accept Ontario Works recipients because that is the only coverage I have at this time. This office can't claim they are "emergency dental" if people are turned away based on their ability to pay.

Absolutely the worst "dental office" that I have ever visited. Stay far away! I was a patient at Lake Street Dental until recently (I visited them approximately 4 times) and each time the experience became worse and worse. At first glance the office seemed half decent, (although it is located inside of a run down 1920's house on Lake Street), and the staff there were nice, except for the new secretary who is quite rude. Anyways, here are some of the experiences that I have had at this place, -which I feel that others should-know when considering treatment there. -On more than one occasion I was left in the chair with my mouth wide open while the dentist went to take phone calls. -They ran out of nitrous oxide about half way through one of my procedures, leaving me to "rough it out" as they put it, for the rest of the treatment (and still charged me full price for it of course!) -Then not long after that, a filling that they recently repaired 2 weeks prior, broke off from my tooth at work. Then when I called them, they told me that I would have to wait until the dentist got back from vacation to have it fixed??? So, I decided to find another dentist to have it fixed, properly. I then told Lake Street dental that I was not going to pay a portion of the bill owing from that particular procedure (approximately $140). Never-the-less I received a letter from a collection agency about a month later. I then went to visit Lake Street Dental and the new secretary ( Saran I believe her name was), told me that my file (personal information) has been sold to a collection agency??? You would think that the dental office would have at least tried called me and work out the situation, but I guess that the $140 was more important to them than a patient. I ended up just paying the bill in the end (because I didn't want my credit score affected), but I must say that this was a horrible experience and I'll never go back.

I am so impressed with the quality of care given at Lake Street Dental. All the staff are fantastic. This is a rare office which still delivers a personal touch to every one of their patients. They genuinely care about you and it clearly shows even during a quick conversation. Kudos to the team who are truly the best in the city!

But I called and said I had an emergency, they were able to take me the next day! Everyone from the receptionist to the dentist herself were super nice! This dental office is by far the worst I’ve ever been to I’m amazed with all these 5 star reviews. A few months back I went for a cleaning got X-rays and was told I needed 4 filling, I’ve never had cavities before so this was new to me. I booked an appointment and felt like she was rushing to fit me into her schedule. So I ended up going to the appointment and had my mouth frozen and the dentist did 4 of my fillings in about 45 minutes. I had nothing but pain in 2 of the fillings so I went back and she ground them down which was quite painful. Still hurt so went to another dentist who told me that they did a terrible job.needless to say I will not be returning what a waste of money. Stay far away unless you want to waste your money/benefits or have them re done.

If I could give no stars I would. I went to Lake street Dental about 4 years ago, terrible as ever. The "dentist" told me that I had 8 cavities that needed to be filled. I trusted her even though I thought that was an incredibly high number. She filled all 8 "cavities", drilling while I was telling her she was hurting me and the anaesthetic had not got all the way threw yet, she continued to drill. The hole time she was doing her poorly done procedure, she was flapping her way to long false eye lashes and talking to her assistant about her boyfriend and how she thinks she wants to leave him. I had pain in about 4 of the teeth that she played around with with a year later. I finally went to another dentist today, who was WONDERFUL as I was way to scared to go to any dentist after her, He told me that all the work that she had done was all unnecessary. Don't waste your money and your teeth here.

Overall good dental care. Office is in need of cosmetic updates. We have found the staff there mostly professional and friendly, but on occasion have overheard conversations that weren't for patient's ears. Cleanings are thorough and dental procedures (fillings mostly) have been solid and have held up well for a few years now. Will remain clients for the time being.

While I think the staff at this office is wonderful, I can't say the same for Dr Younis. She is the most un professional dentist I have ever encountered in my life. Every time I come to this office I'm always left waiting a long time for my appointments and then once I do get in, she will freeze and then go off and talk to her co-workers for atleast 15-20 minutes. She doesn't respect the patients time at all!! I feel bad for the girls at the front desk who I'm sure have to deal with upset patients because of this. She gives me the feeling that she doesn't care about patients and only cares about money and every time I call I can never get through!!! There should be more then 1 girl at the front with such a busy office!! I will not be coming back to this office and I really hope Dr younis gets herself together, for her patients and staffs sake!!!

I have never had any problems there.. They are all kind. When it comes to when I may need fillings Dr. Younis was gentle when giving the needle. When I get my cleaning done we have conversations it is not like I go in and they clean and I leave.. I remember one time when there was someone there that was doing co-op and they asked if it was ok for that person to come in to watch where others may not do it.. I will never go back to them WORST experience. I have bad teeth and last January 2020 I finally decided to get them fixed. I was supposed to start getting work done in February. Covid hit and they closed so my app got pushed (100% understandable) thing is it got cancled in Feb.. march april... I didnt get in until September 17th 2020. Ipaid to have FIVE teeth pulled only got three because my body couldnt handle it. You would think I would still have funds left....NOPE they took ALL off my money. They tried to get me to do multiple xrays so they could charge me more. Needless to say i went to a a sleep dentist WHO by the way used the same xray from a year ago to figure out what needed to be done to fix my teeth

After waiting for one complete hour, and no explanation of why I was having to wait so long, I left. Not very professional and a rude way to treat patients.

I just started going to Lake Street. I was really nervous, and I am a big wuss when it comes to going to see the dentist. Everyone was really nice to me, and explained what my insurance would cover, and what wouldn't be covered. Cathy the hygienist told me all about my dental needs with a cleaning, and Dr. Younis came in and checked my x-rays. I didn't have any cavities, yay! I now look forward to my dental appointments for cleanings every three months now. Thank you guys :)

Heard great reviews. ..being terrified of dentists I thought I'd try her out....was Not a pleasant experience unfortunately. During root canal the freezing wore off and kept hitting nerves. She tried to refreeze right in the root (cld feel EVERYTHING )....tried 3x and freezing wouldn't take. She told me I had an infection and that's why it wouldn't work. Thats fine. But I had alreadt been there for the consult so why did they not tell me it was infected and prescribe antibiotics if they knew it wld interfere with the root canal? !? .....so while I'm shaking and in tears as shes sticking me with needle or drilling open nerves, she actually gave Me attitude saying I should've gotten antibiotics prior to. ...but how was I to know if they never told me/prescribed them? Made me feel stupid and showed no sympathy. .. Will NEVER return. ****edited to add,the reason my name wouldn't have come up in your files is because it wasn't me who wrote the review, but my wife (she didn't realise at the time that it was written under my account)

Horrible dentist, BEWARE. Had fillings done that fell out about 3 months after. She ground down one of the fillings and then ground down the entire right side of my teeth affecting my bite and contact points for no good reason. NO offer to fix or replace the fillings, no sympathy I was in pain. When I went back to give the dentist a chance to correct her work, she tried to charge me double just to look at her own faulty work. Then lies about when the work was done, and doesn't take responsibility. There are good people out there, this dentist is not one of them. Do yourself a favour and find a dentist that is not just in it for the money, and actually wants to help people. Had to go to a different dentist to repair her poor workmanship and also filed complaint with the royal dental college of Ontario. Was thinking about sueing her but her incompetence is not worth more of my time. BEWARE! Look at all the positive 5 star reviews here, they are all puppet accounts with "1contributions". Probably paid a marketing company to put up fake reviews after a string of negative reviews on here. Do yourself a favour and stay away from this very bad dentist.

I have been going here a long time and the Dr.Younis is polite and mentioned what might need to be done in the future. I mean, if you are going to have to go to the dentist might as well choose a place that is friendly.

To have a business in a residential area and show so much disrespect to the neighborhood no one should use their services. They have huge piles of snow covering the side walk that forces my young daughter and I to have to cross over lake street then again down pleasant to walk to school on a clear side walk all because they themself are to lazy to clear the side walk or pay someone to do it . They shoveled a small path to their door for themselves over their grass, but have left the entire side with mounds of snow and it's been like this for a week. In the summer we walk by and see all the garbage blowing around in the parking lot and in the dirt boxes they have for gardens.They walk over it every day ignoring it. This is a street kids walk down to get to school evey day and they show no care for the little ones or residents that live here.

I had an amazing experience here. The staff are great and Dr. Younis does amazing work. I always hate the dentist and have had a bit of dental work done when i was younger. I have been looking for a good dentist to continue the work on my teeth and repair my fillings when needed. I had to have one of my old fillings replaced as it was coming loose. Dr. Younis was very considerate about the fact that i am terrified of needles and helped me through it. I felt no pain what so ever. She even fixed a few of my chipped front teeth free of charge while we were waiting for the freezing to set in. She kept checking in with me throughout the process to make sure i felt no pain and that i was okay. The only thing I will say i did not like was the pricing. I had always been covered under family plans and school dental plans until this year and i had no idea how much dental work would cost so when they told me it would be $400 i didn't think too much of it. I just assumed dental work was expensive but after speaking with a few friends they informed me that was extremely expensive and they had gotten a few filling done for that price. $400 is a lot of money when you're paying out of pocket for it.
