I very seldom write Google reviews for things that aren't restaurants, but I feel compelled to share my experience in the hopes it might help someone else like me. As a very nervous patient with extreme dental anxiety, I was treated with compassion, sensitivity, and dignity. I've had bad experiences in other clinics where I was shamed or guilted by hygienists or dentists for not having great teeth, but Dr David and the team at Fort Rouge Dental have been amazing. Very positive, very kind. If you suffer from dental anxiety and get panic attacks just thinking about getting a cleaning, as I did, I cannot recommend this clinic enough. They will work with you and find a way for you to get the help you need in as painless a way possible.

I have been attending FRD for over 10 years, annual cleaning and the odd cavity (work health plan). I have been treated with courtesy and respect. The work is excellent, and the staff and doctors are excellent. I don't think I could have had better treatment anywhere, but I do not really have any complicated dental problems. I will continue to attend until I am old and my teeth fall out. update: I just had a filling, and it took less than an hour out of my day. My comfort and safety was a priority, and again I was treated with respect and professionalism.

But....and this is a big one.....if you are a dentist working on a patient who is on EIA (getting most of her work paid by charity or donation)and you start to talk about your pool, your vacation time.... not cool. Be aware of your customers. Be aware they may not have your advantages. Be more compassionate.

Best dental office ever! I am terrified of the dentist but knew that I should go again. The staff is so friendly and accommodating and talk to you through the procedures. The admin even make sure to tell you when you’re running out of benefits and will move your treatments around. Doctor Engel-Yeadon recommended a night guard for my migraines. There wasn’t any signs of grinding, but I was clenching my jaw, and my migraines have improved dramatically. So grateful to everywhere there. They even got my fiancé to come in regularly and correct his jaw issues that weren’t addressed as a child.

Best dental care I have ever received out of seven dental offices I've used in my life. They are extremely patient and caring, considering that I come in with anxiety and start crying the moment I sit in the chair. They make me feel relaxed and calm, other dentists did not have such great bedside manner. One dentist I had got angry with me when I said the freezing didn't take yet and the drill hurt like the Dickens! I highly recommend this office. This visit I was mentally preparing for an extraction or a root canal, but it turns out it was sinus pressure. Lol The visit before they filled my wisdom teeth. It was quick and they were kind and caring. My previous dentist wanted to remove them.

I travelled to Fort Rouge Dental from Regina, Saskatchewan after being diagnosed with Periodontal Disease. My local Periodontist recommended Traditional gum flap surgery or removal of my teeth. Upon doing online research for alternative treatments, I came across Dr. Boyko at Fort Rouge Dental in Winnipeg. I received immediate response to my email contact with information on the LANAP procedure. Dr. Boyko and his staff are very friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. I had the full mouth LANAP procedure done in a two day period without any issues. I would highly recommend Dr. Boyko and the LANAP procedure as an alternate option for anyone with advanced gum disease.

I have been going to Fort Rouge Dental Group for years now. Initially one may say I was terrified so Dr. Boyko came out to the waiting room to meet me. Immediately I liked him. He has done extensive work on me including bridges and root canals. He is so professional and kind. He has never hurt me. His assistants are great as well. They chat away to distract me never at a loss for topics to discuss.. Miriam one of the hygenists is wonderful. She has a wonderful personality and is a perfectionist. I live across the city and feel the drive is worth it. I appreciate the excellent service I experience on every visit. I highly recommend this dental group. Everyone is friendly here. Another plus is parking is free.

I recently switched to Fort Rouge Dental, and have paid them two visits for routine matters. The staff were impeccably professional and friendly, and were clearly very competent. They are also remarkably well-organized -- I received reminder text messages for my appointments, and was seen exactly on time each time I visited. I have since referred others to the clinic (to Dr. Thode specifically, but I suspect the others also hold themselves to a high standard), and will be pleased to continue to do so.
