One star review for the new owner of Lakewood Dental. Would give less if able to. After my exam in September they gave me a lengthy wait for my appointment with a quote for work to be done today. When I called in to confirm my appointment yesterday I was told they won’t honor my quote for they since decided to raise their prices at the beginning of January. This was a significant increase as well. Very disappointed to say the least with new owner. Why set an appointment date for today with a quote to do so if you wont honor the quote was my question to the lady on the phone. My answer was laughter with no explanation. Then with even more disappointment and after 25 years of being a customer I decided to cancel today’s appointment and move on to another dentist. Clearly this new owner doesn't care about me or the situation, but raising fees clearly is the priority. I will follow this up with a letter to Sask College of Dental Surgeons, BBB, Consumer Affairs, and Industry Canada. Surely there will be a reply to this saying please call us and we will do all to fix this situation and that we do care. To late for that ship has sailed already. Don't be fooled here people, this place doesn't care at all.
Update: I did call back to your office this afternoon at 3:01pm and was put on extensive hold. After 15 mins I wasn’t willing to wait any longer. Perhaps ask your lady that answers the phone as to why. Perhaps she will find this also funny and amusing as well. I totally disagree... When an appointment date with price quote is given you stand by it . It’s bad business to make excuses and change quotes before the appointment date.
