Horrible. The dentists and assistants didn't care about me at all. Not my comfort or feelings, only my money. I paid 1,300$ for a root canal, was in the chair for 2 1/2 hours. Not once did the assistant or dentist ask how I was doing. Was so uncomfortable, squirming in the chair rubbing my jaw. Finally after 2 hours the assistant offers me a pillow, and says I could've asked for a pillow. Umm how can I ask for a pillow with a dental dam in my mouth ? At the end of the day I also had a bruise and alot of pain on my gums, because the dentist was too rough with the freezing needle.That's Never happened to me before ever .. wouldn't recommend this astablishment to anyone. Please don't go here. It's a waste of money. Seems The dentists are fresh out of school with no experience.

Right from the second you walk through the door, you're treated like family. The staff at the front is absolutely amazing, and my hygienist Christie is more knowledgeable then any hygienist I have ever seen. The doctors always have suggestions and make referrals when they are necessary! (And they are both super awesome and friendly!) I recently came from a different dentist/office all together and I am so thrilled I made the switch when I did. With my dental issues, I've been given many different routes I can go, and different choices I didn't even know I had. If I could give a 10 out of 5 stars, I would!! Far and above any dentist/office I have ever been too :D

Donna the hygienist is lovely, she’s gentle on sensitive teeth, will patiently explain things, and is very calming to be around. I’ve seen both dentists, have enjoyed both and really appreciate their approaches. They have never recommended unnecessary services to me (some dentists insist on braces, special devices that may or may not work etc.). My partner enjoyed them too after a long hiatus from the dentist. 100% would recommend.

Always a great experience at the Spruceland location. Front office staff is always accommodating even when I postponed the same appointment several times, Monita is an absolute delight! I needed to have my wisdom teeth extracted but my health and dental plan wouldn’t cover the cost of the scan because I recently had one taken and they only covered 1 scan every year, I would have had to wait till December to get another one, but Family Dental Care did the scan for free so I can get the extraction done much sooner!

My experience today at FDC - Spruceland was great. I am generally afraid of all medical procedures especially after my last experience at the dentist's. But Christie put me at ease and explained every procedure one after the other and before I knew it, she was done.

I went in for a cleaning, but I had been dealing with a serious toothache. Donna, my hygienist, was very gentle and did not even try to clean my whole mouth. She stayed away from my abscessed tooth and gave a full history to Dr. Chahal. He prescribed an antibiotic which immediately began to relieve the pain and heal. I would recommend Family Dental Clinic-Spruceland, to anyone.

My cavity filling appointment was great! Dr. Chahal was fast, but gentle. The freezing was done very well, and my appointment was over in a flash. I used to go to Dr. Pon before he retired, so those were some big shoes to fill, but Dr. Chahal managed it! The hygienists that I’ve had have also been amazing.

Worst experience ever. Paid so much money for a filling. The dentist was rough with the freezing, had pain for days because I had blisters on the roof of my mouth. Please don't waste time or money. Anywhere else is better. Was extremely uncomfortable, and they didn't seem to care about my comfort. Didn't even ask how I was doing, or attentive to my needs at all. Family dental is the Worst.

I recently have had a change in dentist at Family Dental, as my dentist of about 37 years is returing. I am highly impressed with my new dentist, Dr. Hsu and I highly recommend him. He does excellent work and is a good communicator, who explains the procedures and their inherent risks. I consider myself a good judge of character and I would say that in addition to being highly competent, with a very pleasant demeanour, he is a man of humility, honour and integrity. He carefully answers all my questions, of which their are usually several, explaining things in a very non-condescending manner, simply and clearly. He also also explains the associated risks with procedures, such as possible side-effects of anesthetics and never damage caused by deep cavities and I appreciate this. He also appears to use all the latest technology and procedures. I was rather content with my previous dentist and a bit apprehensive about him retiring, but I am very satisfied with the dental work that Dr. Hsu has done and with his friendly and caring approach. If you do not have a dentist, I highly commend Dr. Hsu and Family Dental.

Dr. Hsu is a gem of a person and an amazing dentist. I sat on a couple cavities for a while because of bad past experiences with other dentists until I had him do them. Just finished my dental cleaning. I was impressed from the moment I walked in the door and finished my appointment was one hour to the tee. I didn’t wait at all in the waiting room. My hygienist remembered I was on Mat leave and asked me if I returned to work. I was surprised she remembered since she has alot of patients coming and going. She took great care cleaning my teeth. I have not any bad experience with Family Dental.
