Been going for a few years now, The staff are always friendly and concerned with my comfort and any pain I may be having. I’ve had two dentists while here, mostly due to my schedule and their own shifts conflicting. Both dentists have been great. Easy to talk with and seem genuine. The reception is very welcoming and friendly on the phone. I just had a few fillings taken care of this year and they were always calling to get me in early and fast track the process for me. Really appreciated it but my work schedule didn’t always allow that. I recommend Family Dental to anyone who asks. Facility is newer, very clean stalls.

As someone new to Prince George and Canada, negotiating the health and dental system has been somewhat of an eye opener. I was also apprehensive about finding a good dentist. Having cracked a filling and needing it to be fixed promptly, my experience ts the Family Dental Care Centre was excellent. All the staff were extremely welcoming and helpful. the dental staff made me feel very comfortable, talking through all the procedures and what was going to happen that day. I had no anxiety about the whole visit and would highly recommend them to anyone

I have always had good experiences when I have had to visit Dr Minhas' office. Whether it's something relatively minor like a check-up and cleaning, or more extensive work is required I always feel like I'm in good hands. We booked an appointment for checkups/cleanings for the entire family (myself, wife, and 3 and 4 year old). Staff was pleasant and professional, and really good with the children. The kids had fun picking out a toy at the end. The dentist provided some good tips for caring for the kid’s teeth, and came across as caring (non-judgmental). I would. recommend this dental office.

Service was okay. We were charged twice for the amount not covered by the insurance WITHOUT any notice before hand. It doesn’t feel good to receive a surprise bill for the extra treatment we never ask for. The second time we refused to pay and got a message from them saying that it is our responsibility to know our insurance. Well, I knew my insurance would only cover 1 unit treatment, but I didn’t know that they was going to do 1.5 unit. Nobody informed me before the treatment and yet surprised me with the bill. Or do they expect the patient to figure out how many ‘units’ they are doing?

Family Dental Care in College Heights area is the absolute best dental place I've been to. The people that work there are so caring and gentle it's amazing. The lady who works at the front dest is like a best friend, we will have conversations that could go on for hours and there interesting! The ortho there is awesome as well, I have had my braces on for about a year and 6 months now and going to Family Dental Care had made it so it hasn't been a completely terrible experience. I would defiantly recommend switching to this Dental Facility!

I was referred to Dr Coil at Specialy -Family Dental, College Heights by Dr Hsu - Family Dental Spruceland and have nothing but incredible comments regarding the care I received from Dr.Coil. He explained the procedure that he was going to be doing in complete detail ahead of time. During the procedure, Mr Coil explained everything as he was going along and he was very gentle. After the procedure, he explained everything I needed to do at home to take care of the area where the surgery was done. He also gave me written instructions to follow. I had a post set into my mouth yesterday. There was no pain during the procedure. Gigi had put on a topical numbing cream on before Dr. Minhas started the freezing. Dr. Minhas and Gigi went over the hole procedure with me beforehand and continued to ask how I was doing during the procedure. afterwards I was instructed to take the meds if I needed to. Today there is every minamal swelling and with the meds, no pain.

I was very nervous to have my implants, which is different for me because Dental work has never bothered me. Having all my teeth pulled didn’t give me as much anxiety as the thought of implants. I was calmed immediately after just a few words from Gigi. Then between her &Dr.MI has made sure I was comfortable with AC & a fan needed to keep me cool (needed due to my MS). Even though it takes a few hours I was continually asked if I was doing alright so I never felt ignored. I would highly recommend this office to anyone needing or wanting Dental work done. I am so happy with the results.

This was the first time for me to get a implant so I was wondering how difficult and painful it was going to be. I was pleasantly surprised at how painless and straightforward it was. The removal of the broken tooth went well and the procedure to insert the titanium implant wasn't even as difficult as when I had a root canal in a front tooth. I would go back to Dr Minhas and his amazing assistant GG, both of them are very good at their jobs, she's just better looking than him. ???? Thank you for everything.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff... clean and updated office... modern equipment... willing to work with your plan limitations to ensure the most care for the least money... only reason they're not 5* is because... you know... it's the dentist :P EDIT: Loving the Covid protocols they have in place. Very easy to understand even if you haven't been to them recently or are new to their procedure. Text messages are sent to you (see pics), your temp is taken upon entering and you are asked the standard Covid questions, and their waiting room has socially distanced seating. Overall a VERY good experience.

Just wanted to give a huge shout out to Nora, my hygienist, at Family Dental Care College Heights Prince George. It had been a number of years since I was able to go to the dentist. My previous experiences were not great and I had to have my mouth frozen in order to get my teeth cleaned. Nora asked if i would give a topical desensitizing a try. I agreed and thought I would have to still have it frozen. Nora was so amazing, she was thorough, gentle, and was able to complete the cleaning without any freezing!!! Thank you so much Nora. I am 65 and terrified of dentists. Almost had to be sedated for the consultation! But I was so impressed with Dr. Tao and Chris that I decided to go ahead and have the repair done without sedation. Dr. Tao and Chris explained each step and checked to see how I was doing, every step of the way. Thank you so much for taking all that time with me and making me see that dentistry has come so far since I was a child. Can't say enough good things about the staff!

The first two times I went to this dentist it was very positive. But, this time was different. The people are very nice, but. After going to dentists for over sixty years this was the first time that: A) my mouth did not get a rinse after scaling. B) I was told we were out of time for a polishing C) we were out of time for floride (sp). I felt maybe I was in my second childhood as the hygienist told me everything she was doing. I’m putting on the bib, I’m putting on the heavy apron, I’m taking off the heavy apron. The dentist did not introduce himself when he came in, I had to ask who he might be. Wow!! , I went in for dental surgery today at Family Dental care. Upon arriving I was anxious and scared remembering that this would be the biggest surgery I have had in my 43 years in a complicated procedure. I am very thankful to GiGi and Dr. Minhas who worked diligently to make sure that I was comfortable, not in pain, and kept in the loop with all procedures constantly. They really treated me like they were my Dental-Doulas taking care of my emotional and any other need to make me feel less stress. Had a filling done (2nd appointment for the same problem because the filling did not stay the first time) , the filling made one of my tooth looks funny and pushes my retainer off position. Tried to bring up the issue right at the end of my appointment while I was still in the room, but the dentist assistant told me Dr Minhas does not have a min to talk to me, and suggest me to make another appointment just to talk to the doctor. Now I am in pain with my retainer pushing on my tooth. I just get my braces off not so long ago. My teeth are still setting. So scared this is will shifting my teeth and ruin all the othordontist work ! However, the special care side is amazing tho. All the stuff in the special care side are very carig and friendly, especially Christina, Dolly, and Vicki.

I have to two appointments at family dental in College Heights. I needed to have some surgery on a tooth. Extraction and then some bone Grafting. I felt little to no pain. I plan on getting a implant to replace my tooth. Gigi and Dr. Minhas have went above and beyond, with my care. On Feb 5 2019. Dr. Minhas installed the implant. It was pretty much 100% pain free. I was back to work the next day.

On June 3rd I had an appointment with Dr. Coil to have some dental work done. Some unforeseen issues developed. An 1.5 hour appointment turned into a 4 hour one. During this time I was made to feel as comfortable as possible. Dr. Coil and his staff dealt with my issues in a most professional and caring manner. I had surgery with a visiting Endodontist, Dr. J. Coil. Staff were very caring and professional, and Dr. Coil explained very clearly what would happen during the procedure. He also stopped to explain what he was doing throughout the surgery, and they checked on my comfort frequently as well. Staff followed up the next day to see how I was healing. It is wise to take a day off work after this surgery though(apicoectomy), as there is swelling and some discomfort.
