After 8 years of being self-conscious, hiding my smile because of all the chips in my front teeth, today Dr Segura and his incredible clinical assistant gave me a whole new smile. One Im going to be happy to show off. Not only are they excellent at what they do but they excel in how they do it. Always friendly and welcoming. Pros at dealing with patients who have dental anxiety and can make the whole thing feel easy and anxiety free. Im very grateful to those at Kawartha Dental Clinic for always being amazing and Dr. Segura for giving me back my smile ???? Ive gone here for years now. All 4 wisdom teeth were taken out by Dr Segura as well. I developed an infection in one and got an emergency appointment with another dentist within a few hours. They always go so far above and beyond!! Thank you!!

Only been going here for about a year after not having a dentist for several years; it's a nice clean office front staff is very helpful. Hygienist was great, the dentist was friendly and easy to talk to. I like that the receptionists calls to remind me of my upcoming appointments. Appointments are quick and painless, no fear of dentists here.

I craved compassion while having dental work performed. It's a must for myself to even enter the door! Well I'd come across Kawartha Dental Clinic and heard multiple **ravings** regarding the way they treat people. I was terrified after working with amother dentist in PTBRO who'd left me riddled with anxiety (Dr Cole). But here at Kawartha Dental Clinic ended up a peaceful, and extremely comfortable experience. I worked with Ed. He's so interpersonal and layed back!! Their offices are clean, full of positive energy and a staff made with hearts of gold. They work late as well making it nice for if you work! Thanks guys :)

As many reviews state, this dentistry or at least certain dentists there only care about money. I myself have Diabetes (which they are aware of) They have never once asked about my diabetes care or how my blood sugar is. This itself is very scary as these issues severely impact dental health, shameful Dr Ed Segura.

An AMAZING DENTAL OFFICE I absolutely love Dr Ed Segura !! I “ had” terrible anxiety when going to the dentist, but Dr Ed makes sure you are very calm & will nicely explain everything to you. I have never felt Dr Ed giving me a needle in my mouth, as he is extremely gentle !! I have been going to this dentist office since November 1985 & I have not had any issues with the office or staff !! I would highly recommend Dr Ed …. Dr Ed Segura is an absolute disgrace of a human being and a disgrace to dental practice. After multiple attempts by him to fix a root canal which he can’t seem to do, it had turned into something far worse and when it came to that he refused to help and blamed us. He then went on about how he owns the business and can do whatever he likes as if we ever asked or cared, this is a dentist office, you’re not a person of power.

Both my 8 year old and 3 year old boys needed to see a dentist. This dentist was great, both had to be put under, the younger had to go to Northumberland Hills Hospital as he has asthma. Besides my 8 year old being anxious prior to his appointment they did great. The work they did is awesome and the people are nice, wanting to help. From outside you wouldn't think it's much but when you go in it's totally different and professional. My 8 year old had Dr. Zeiler, my 3 year old had Dr. Sina Sanei.

This experience with my 4 year old today was truly professional and caring. Our daughter is extremely anxious and a firecracker and Dr. Hall the anesthesiologist took the time to get to know her and our concerns and the little tricks we taught her prior to this appointment about the mask he would be using to put her to sleep . Dr .Hall used different lip balm scents to help her smell the mask and she was so comfortable with him. I cannot thank him and this team enough for taking such good care of our little girl who needed some attention to her teeth under a general anaesthetic as she wouldn’t even let the dentist near her at a regular visit due to her personality and fears . I wanted to write a review for others as i went looking for one for reassurance and just know your kids are in caring hands and they will help you help your children until they are asleep and then you get to leave the room and the update you during the procedure and you return as soon as they start to stir. Dr. Segura took the time to come and talk after he fixed her teeth and let us know what exactly what he did to help her teeth :) Again many thanks to them all. Jennifer Macmillan

Best dentist ever been to had I had my wisdon tooth extracted and I'm not good with dentists I have problems with the X-ray but they helped me through it and got a smaller piece for my mouth and when he put the needle in for freezing I teared up and he even wipe the tear off my eye with the napkin thing they put around your neck very polite friendly just wish you gave me more than one gauze's other than that best visit ever and with other dentists they send you away for wisdom teeth this one just did it too because I had to have it cut a little best dentist ever

I was having the worst, 'tooth' week ever... Impacted, infected and decaying wisdom tooth that I had ignored for too long was causing me some serious grief. And after having to miss two days of work because of it, it was time to 'bite' the bullet and evict this tooth. From the moment I stepped in the door, the entire team at Kawartha Dental did everything they could to give me a hand and make the end of my week better. Dr. Zhang and the supporting staff (sorry for forgetting names) kept me at ease during the entire x-ray & consultation, and even when I mentioned I had no insurance and a limited budget, they continued to do absolutely everything they could do to help... Little did I know that only 30 mins later, I was going to walk out that door with my bastard of a wisdom tooth IN A BAG. I tip my hat to Dr. Segura, who is a top notch surgeon and a really friendly guy. Not only was he fast (if you blinked, you would have missed it), he was gentle. The only thing I felt was relief! Thanks again Doc. I have gone to other dentists that have made me feel very uncomfortable because I did not have insurance but that certainly was not the case at Kawartha Dental. The administration staff is kind, polite, understanding and professional to say the least. They were extremely accommodating and made sure I got the the up-most care while getting a fair deal for my dollar. The next time you have a tooth ache, I would suggest a trip to Kawartha Dental Clinic. That's where I will be going the next time I serve an eviction notice.

I’ve been a customer or client for two years. The dentist I was seeing at this practice left. I was given another dentist. I have a major tooth ache as I broke one of my teeth. I went in five days after calling for help. They had no intention on fixing my tooth. They just wanted an assessment and assessment charge. They would get back to me at another date. The communication between the front desk and the dentist is poor at best. It seems like the almighty dollar is more important than the client. For this reason I have to switch to another practice. Be careful, they are not as caring as they promote.

Thursday December 2nd 2021 Dentist Appointment at Kawartha Dental Clinic at 10:50AM to fix my chipped tooth which had chipped for a 2nd time after getting it fixed 3 days ago and previously in grade 10. I arrived at 10:56AM and was let in the office at 10:58AM (the bus was late) He then shaved my tooth to try to even out with the chip which he did not ask my permission to do or tell me what he was doing, which is to alter my front tooth permanently. He then did so and told me to go see in the mirror if I noticed it and if I liked it. It was clearly obvious that the chip was still there and now my whole tooth was shorter than the other one, I told him I was not comfortable with how it looked and then he explained it would keep chipping if he fixed it the other way, I told him I chipped it 4 years proceeding and it never chipped till now (I have braces now) my tooth looked worse and he told me no one would notice and told him that I do not care if other people notice I notice. He then told me I would just need to get VEENERS after getting my braces off. This conclusion is very drastic and a person who gets braces does not need veneers, my tooth was then shorter than the other one permanently. I called the office to find out the name of this dentist and it is Robbie Zhang Do not go here unless you want to get ripped off and get bad service from a dentist that clearly has no social skills

They canceled a dental surgery on my son 2 times in a row pushing it back months at a time. Hes 9 years old and has an abscessed tooth and 2 baby teeth trapping his adult teeth under them. He needs to have extractions done asap and they have left us waiting almost 4 months for help. It's going to cause permanent damage to his adult teeth under if I cant find another dentist to help him. This place really caused my family a lot of pain. This kind of procedure can not wait and his future smile will suffer greatly because of this office.

Dentistry, like any field of medicine, offers few guarantees. There are just too many variables involved and vicissitudes occur all too frequently. It is as much art as science. Therefore choice of a D.D.S. is critical. I have found Dr. Sanei to be engaging and informative personally and proficient professionally. I was especially impressed and appreciative of proactive approach to pain and infection management demonstrated by his prescription of a prophylactic regiment of antibiotics, anti inflammatories and pain medication which resulted in minimal operative/postoperative discomfort and a rapid recovery for the first stage of my extraction and implant procedure. Based on my experience so far, when compared to similar procedures performed by others, I am reasonably confident that I have chosen well.

Very disappointed. I was running 5 minutes late for my appointment when I was contacted by the clinic. I was literally parking when they called, I was informed that I must immediately get to the front door as they are running on a tight schedule. I guess there's no grace period at all. I typically get there 15 minutes early and my last appointment I had to wait 10 minutes. I didn't say anything because I get it 5-10 minutes isn't a big deal. Well apparently it is when the client is late...I will never come back here.

I was referred to Kawartha Dental Clinic , read all the reviews and wondered. This place runs like a well oiled machine. No wonder they get upset if you miss an appointment. They text to remind you a few days before, then text day of to remind you again an hour before and give full COVID protocol instructions . Impressive, then they have a Treatment Plan Coordinator to fill the gap between , dentist and receptionist, She refers you to the dentist best suited for your dental needs, then looks after quotes and billing. Why doesn’t every dental office have this, great idea, for clients. Then as a bonus they bill direct to Insurance company. Not to mention the dentist and dental assistant were knowledgeable and pleasant. Best experience I’ve ever had at a Dentist office in my life, and a Dentist Office is my least favourite place to visit.

For a person who struggles with anxiety when its time to get work done I have to say that Dr Sanei and the team are fabulous. They take the time to ensure your comfortable. Dr Zeiler is great and Sue has been wonderful with helping to arrange surgery after a large dental Dept in a Toronto hospital turned me away (after waiting months for a consult and being very disappointed.) I have complex health issues and KDC have been really good with 2 past surgeries. Dr Zeiler probably saved two of my teeth from needing extraction. My first cleaning with Jamie was better then expected. She was compassionate and worked around my back pain (paper towel roll who knew thx!). It’s a busy office so patience is sometimes needed on both sides but I’ve been to many (many) medical clinics and this normal. Dr Lau was my dentist for years (still my husband’s) and he referred me to Dr Zeiler for surgery with confidence. Both are well run practices and two of the best in Peterborough IMO.

My son had some teeth extracted this was his first dentist appointment where they were able to see his teeth and do X-rays I have to say over all I was vary satisfied with the care of him the staff are vary welcoming and friendly n for the most caring but I have to say the anesthesiologist could have a better attitude towards parents n be more caring and maybe not say things like how dose he behave with other children just because he has some anxiety towards doctors do to medical history and tends yell and fight for them not touch him I do believe that has nothing to do with the situation that was at hand anyways he wouldn't be playing with any other children well he's there! n aslo possibly a better attitude when a parent says oh I cant stay n not say no what are you going to do stand there cry in a very mean way but again I was vary satisfied with the staff n care of my baby the anesthesiologist just needs a better attitude towards things I think

My daughter had an emergency with one of her wisdom teeth. Our dentist (at the time) didn’t take wisdom teeth out. I heard great things about Dr. Ed Segura. We got an appt the next day and i have to say we were beyond happy. Dr. Segura has a great bedside manor, funny sense of humour and very professional. My daughter was so scared going into this appt and left with a smile on her face even after having her tooth extracted. She was so thankful. His staff was wonderful to deal with and made us feel like we had been patients forever. Before we left i asked if he would be willing to take on my family of four...i was that impressed with everything. I refer him anytime i hear someone in need of a dentist. Absolutely terrible experience in this clinic. After being assaulted the owner had a conversation with me about how I can pay once I received the funds to pay it after my incident. I agreed to these terms and had work done. They extracted the tooth and couldn't even do that part properly. They allowed me to choke on my own blood as it pooled in the back of my throat. I asked over and over for the person that brought me and they wouldn't get them and instead let me pass out in their chair. Within the next few weeks I hadn't been contacted by them regarding the bill I had been taken to collections and dropped as a client. After paying that off they still refuse to see me even if I paid cash up front before anything was done. I would rather do my own dental work then go back after how I was treated.

Have been a long time customer with no issue. However a recent experience has been anything but positive. Recently my wife and kids were over billed for routine cleaning. Insurance has always covered 100% but this time was different. Kawartha Dental was unable to explain this to her but billed us anyway. The insurance company had to get involved to correct their billing practice. Not a fun experience. Long story short, I am waiting to be reimbursed. No apology from Kawartha Dental for their mistake. To top it off, every customer who goes to Kawartha Dental has to pay a COVID-19 fee. Seems a little greedy in these tuff times. I can't think of anyone else charging a COVID-19 fee. Were dentists and hygienists not previously required to wear masks and PPE and have a sanitary working environment? What is this fee for other then to make more money off an all ready cash strapped community? To me its not so much the fee, but the principal.

When you have a automatic texting service... Please make sure to include a way for people that are getting messages to cancel without calling your company.. Specially when you have the wrong number! I’ve got way to many texts from you about someone who is not me.. I’ve had to waste my time to contact you and tell you that it’s a dumb service. Also, this morning I got to wake up to them.. Stupid service to go with stupid dental clinic. Hire someone to check calls and appointments... and not waste strange peoples time!! no one likes a expensive dentist that’s cheap. Also love reading your reviews and how ignorant your clinic responds to people. Bad customer service all together.

My 5 year old son had dental work today which he needed to be put under for; he has never been put under before and I was extremely nervous about this! All of the staff went above and beyond to make sure Ozzy and myself were comfortable and fully informed about what the procedure entailed and what to expect afterwards. Bob, the anesthesiologist, was amazing with Ozzy, making him laugh and feel at ease the entire time. Amy was so helpful, knowledgeable and reassuring- even coming out to my car to let me know everything was going well so far. 10/10 experience and would recommend kawartha dental not only for their years of experience but for their extremely kind and friendly staff.

Ive been a patient for dozens of dentists over many years and I can tell you with 100% certainty that Dr Sanei at Kawartha Dental Clinic is by far the best. On a tooth I needed fixed I'd heard everything from "yea but only cosmetically you can never chew on it" to a straight "no cant be fixed you have to have a $4000 dental implant". Then I booked with Dr Sanei whos respose was simply "Yes I can fix that". Not only do his skills surpass all others but here we have a dentist who genuinely cares about his patients. You can easily tell hes not your typical (in it for the money) dentist. You might not get an appointment quickly due to his popularity but trust me he is well worth any wait. Thank you Dr Sanei you are a true doctor

TERRIBLE DENTIST. Have some much pain in my tooth and the office keeps rescheduling my appointment without letting me know. So I get down there for them to tell me I have to wait another week to get rid of the pain I'm in. When I was going to one my appointments the dentist, and reseption were both calling me Brian....first of all names obviously not Brian. They are all so unorganized and cheap Would not recommend this dentist to my worst enemy.
