I've been going to this dentist all my life. They have recently expanded in a new location and their new offices are very modern with all the state of the art equipment. (Plus I'm pretty sure the waiting room has xboxes for the kids, so they might even be excited to go) I always feel comfortable there (or as comfortable as can be expected at a dentist). I like the friendly environment and everyone is very accommodating. The procedures have all been as quick and painless as possible.

I am thoroughly IMPRESSED with the knowledge and top-notch patient care at Burnham Dental! Moving to Peterborough from Toronto last May, I was very sad to leave my dentist of many years there, and our first foray of finding our new dentist in Peterborough did not go well - that is, until we found Burnham Dental! Now I wish I just went to them first to begin with. They are professional from the minute you arrive, from the courteous and knowledgeable administration staff (Kris), to the very knowledgeable and fabulous Shelly (dental hygienist), and the equally knowledgeable Dr. Kumar. I know I am being repetitive with the 'knowledgeable' adjective, but that is my best description for what impressed me the most - I got answers within an hour for a dental health decision I have been considering for months. I especially like their emphasis on empowering me to improve my own skills at maintaining my dental health at home (Shelly is a great teacher). I feel like my dental health is in very good hands. I think it goes without saying that I highly recommend them.

Went in for a molar extraction and Dr. Kumar offered options but was understanding of my option to extract. The extraction went through with minimal pain and steps were taken to ensure this was the case. I was not rushed through the procedure, everything was done in an effective and precise manner despite the difficultly of the extraction and no additional steps to retrieve broken tooth shards were needed, which I am thankful for. Dr. Kumar and his attending dental hygienist were both friendly, in good spirits and I got the impression they wanted to be where they are and enjoyed what they are doing, which to me is important for a positive experience like I had. After the extraction they asked me to come back for a quick check-up to review that my mouth is healing and offered advice towards an expeditious recovery from the procedure. The way everything was handled was quite professional and personable

Not a fan of the new Burnham Dental. I had been a client for over 30 years. Since the move downtown I've felt a steady slip down the tubes. The atmosphere, the friendly staff, and the pricing all feels off. Dr. Render was a phenomenal dentist, and the nicest guy you could meet. A big hole was left when he retired, same said for a certain receptionist. My wife recently called to cancel an upcoming appointment, and didn't much care for the receptionist's response. She may soon take her business elsewhere. I'd leave a 2.5, if it were an option. Burnham used to be the place to go for me but now think that there are better, more affordable dental care options in the area.

I recently visited Burnham dental to get all four of my wisdom teeth extracted due to one of them being infected. Dr. Pankaj Kumar performed the surgery and was both personal and professional, I cant praise him enough. Not only did the dental office call me the next day to check up on me they also booked me back in to make sure the healing was going accordingly, which was very reassuring. I had very minimal to no swelling and didnt even need to take any pain killers by the second day. I couldn't be happier with my experience and would highly recommend this practice.

My son had an accident playing hockey; he got a puck to the mouth; yes he lost 1/2 of both front teeth... we wanted to make sure we consulted with a dentist with good reviews... not only did we see previous reviews; but to see a doctor reply to his reviews - to me meant he was honourable & caring... this made our decision. I called; explained to the receptionist and received an appointment for a couple hours later... while at the office the staff were extremely nice & helpful, my son was seen by Dr. Smith; he explained everything in detail and was able to reconstruct my sons smile that day. I am telling you all I cannot see the difference; the work that Dr. Smith did is phenomenal. We have made the decision to transfer to Burnham Dental for our regular treatments- even though this is over an hour drive from our home I cannot see us going anywhere else.... if you are looking for a great dentist this is the one... hands down 5/5 no questions check it out & see for yourself!!

I lost a large filling in my back tooth and was in need of a dentist. One of my friends recommended Burnham Dental as my dentist is in Toronto and I needed to find one here. I called the office yesterday and explained the situation to them and mentioned that the tooth was starting to get very sensitive. They got me in to see Dr. Kumar at 2:30 yesterday afternoon! I was so relieved! WOW.............how many people can say that they had a FABULOUS experience at a dentist? Well - I did! From the moment I walked in the door I was completely taken care of. The office is clean, modern and state-of-the-art..............Can a dental office be beautiful? This one is. Dr. Kumar took me in almost immediately and proceeded to walk me through every procedure so that I was totally at ease. I didn't feel the needle, I didn't feel the drill and with his great sense of humour he had me laughing throughout the entire appointment. He showed me before and after photos of the tooth and was very candid with me when describing the damage that had been done. BUT - he did it! He filled my tooth and, as an added assurance he gave me his personal phone number in case I had any pain in the evening. Thank you Dr. Kumar and Brittany..............Bravo........ I'll be back in November for a regular check-up!

Came here on December 15 for a standard cleaning. During my cleaning the dental hygienist began picking at one of my fillings on my front tooth. I told her that it was a previous filling that I had done roughly a year ago at this practice. She continued to pick at it and broke off a piece of the filling. I noticed no problems with this filling before and it was smooth underneath, so it seemed properly done. She said it was an extra piece of filling but when I had the filling done Dr. Kumar said he added extra filling for strength, as the filling was on my front tooth and likely to be under extra stress when eating and biting. When Dr. Smith came in the hygienist noted a few problems with my teeth and mentioned the broken filling that must have broke off “at some point”. I then picked up the broken piece of filling from my bib and said “do you mean this piece, that just came out during your cleaning?”. She proceeded to examine the piece and said “oh that does look like a piece of composite”. Dr. Smith then instructed her to get the burring tool and when she got back he smoothed out the broken filling. Unfortunately he only smoothed half of it and I still have a sharp edge on the back of my tooth. First off, I am extremely concerned that the dental hygienist made no indication to Dr. Smith that she had broken my tooth, instead trying to play it off like I had broken it “at some point”. If I had not spoken up that she had been the one to break it would I have even been treated by Dr. Smith to smooth the filling down? Second, why is a filling I was given less than a year ago from your practice breaking so soon? I have no insurance and don’t want to repetitively get fillings fixed. I also have a broken filling from Burnham Dental on my bottom tooth that broke from a poorly fitting night guard Burnham Dental gave me... both which were done little over a year ago! I feel bad leaving this review because my family goes here and have had good experiences but I no longer feel comfortable having dental work done here.

I made an appointment the day of for a review of a corroding wisdom tooth, all to be done was an assessment and the scheduling for me to come in to have the tooth removed. Following the first few minutes of my appointment with really friendly front staff, I had the x-ray, and then the doctor had began his review of the tooth and decided that in his time he could efficiently remove the wisdom tooth. And so he did, cleanly and without any pain within a span of 10 minutes! I am not a fan of dental institutions with 6 years of braces work done in my child hood, but this will be my new dental clinic without any hesitation. Thanks again, Burnham Dental

When I went to the dentist this morning after breaking a molar on a cinnamon heart candy, I met Dr Kumar for the first time. I’ve been a patient there for about 3 years, but having had no problems I only briefly met a dentist annually following a cleaning. Dr Kumar exceeded my expectations, he was very personable and friendly. He repaired my tooth (without freezing!), and without any pain! He then talked to me and told me a bit about himself - my experience over the years has not been like that with other dentists, they seem to come into the room, quickly check your teeth and leave before you even close your mouth! Dr Kumar may have restored my faith in dentists! He even gave me his cell number and said if I have any trouble I could give him a call or text. As well, he used the camera unit to show me what he had done so I saw the before and after pics. Their equipment is up to date and the new office is bright and comfortable. Great experience!

I've been here a few times for routine cleanings/check-ups and recently got a crown for a damaged tooth. The experiences across the board have been fantastic. The team will look after you and make you feel comfortable. I've never experienced any physical discomforts from the work done here as well, they always check in to make sure everything's okay with you. They even referred me out for root canal work and that work was excellent. It would appear they keep good company too.

I have no trouble recommending Burnham Dental. I am here temporarily and needed an emergency procedure without the benefit of a dental plan. After reading reviews here and calling some other offices, I felt Rhonda was being more obliging in providing clear information than people at other offices, so I made an appointment. I was not disappointed and would summarize the care I received from Dr. Wageman and Donna as professional and compassionate. I also felt I was being treated in a very honest manner. I am recovering with very little discomfort, which to me indicates a good job was done.

Having not been to the dentist in over 3 years, I went to my appointment feeling extremely anxious. Debbie the receptionist was very helpful and supportive in accommodating for my concerns. Sherry the hygienist was very gentle and did an amazing job cleaning my overly sensitive teeth. I had one cavity which I was disappointed about , but I knew it would be better to get it dealt with as opposed to waiting for it to develop into something worse. (I'm so glad that Debbie persuaded me on the phone to book a check up and cleaning!) When I came in for the second appointment to have the cavity filled, I was feeling anxious at the prospect of having to deal with pain. Dr Kumar was so good with me. He had a great sense of humour and he really listened to my concerns about pain. He helped me feel much more relaxed. I also ended up not feeling a thing!
