Terrible customer service! They confirmed my appointment twice - a week before, and 3 day before. And after I have arranged everything from my side (work, kids, etc.), they called me less than 24 hours to let me know they can't hold my appointment ... and want to re-schedule a few weeks away! The reception don't listen, can't keep the word at all! No trust in here.

For them to look at your teeth for a few mintues costs 140 dollars. Removing your widsom teeth could be around 2.4k. I was told it wasnt suppose to be over 500 a tooth but I guess they changed that last second. If you're not loaded with money, find somewhere else !

I had to edit my 5 stars review. I had a root canal performed at the clinic and honestly the cleaning was well done, which explains the initial excellent review.But the permanent filling was very poorly done and did not last 3 months. I had to go back there and pay for a temporary filling performed by another dentist because the dentist who did my root canal was on vacation. Then they were expecting me to book an appointment for another permanent filling and (of course!) pay again. I never went back and am not planning to go back there. The 2 stars are for the cleaning of my root canal.

I have been a regular patient of Dr Matheson‘s team and I simply adore this dentist and her assistant. You never see the dentist giving you a needle, because she cleverly hides the needle, and for me, it reduces my anxiety greatly. That’s just an example of the great lengths they go to do you make you feel comfortable. I’ve never had or seen a bad experience in the number of years I’ve been going to this dental clinic, and I would highly recommend it, especially if you have young children that are leery of needles. Dr. Jo-anne Matheson - best dentist ever! As a middle aged adult I gradually developed a serious phobia of the dental chair. It wasn't phobia of needles or dental procedures - it was claustrophobia which started with a bad experience in Montreal with a male dentist whom I reported to the dental association. After that I couldn't tolerate being lied flat down, having grown up in the era when dentists stood up and slanted your chair. Lying flat down with two people hovering over my face, I got gradually increasingly claustrophobic to the point I had a panic attack one day and had to leave and go home. I had moved to Ottawa and never went to a dentist in 10 years. During those years I tried sessions with a psychologist to learn distraction and relaxation techniques - nothing worked. At the end of 10 years I had bridge work that was broken so contemplated sedation dentistry. I went to inquire about it here in Ottawa and when I saw the drugged patients unable to walk on their own without assistance I thought forget this. I looked for a female dentist and the first one I came across was Dr. Jo-anne Matheson. I made a consultation appointment and told her I felt I needed to be de-sentitized to the dental chair gradually. She was willing to work with me. The first cleaning she scheduled over 4 appointments - 15 mins in the chair for each quadrant. She never makes me lie flat and gives me a neck cushion. At first her and her hygienist stood for me but at my most recent appointment they are now able to lower the chair enough to sit sometimes. Gradually she worked me up to a full regular cleaning. About the 2nd year she started replacing old fillings - one at a time. Dr. Matheson is so fast at doing a filling plus even though I have no fear of needles, I never feel it - her needle technique is the best and I've had many dentists. Finally she got me to the point she replaced my bridge involving a 2 hour appointment in the chair. I was so proud of overcoming my claustrophobia, but I could never have done this without Dr. Jo-anne Matheson. she is the kindest, most understanding, soft spoken and gentle dentist I have ever had. Now my whole family goes to her. I would like to update that I had a cleaning for the 1st time in over a year because of pandemic I was nervous to go. But I n went and felt safe because all precautions were evident.

I went to St. Laurent Dental Centre last year to get a cleaning done. Only writing this review now because a friend of mine just went and she got an infection as well. The receptionists were not welcoming at all but that was not my main concern. The dental hygienist started off cleaning my bottom teeth and "ran out" of time to finish because I came in 5 minutes late, so I had to come back again to get it done. I'm not a fussy person, so I said fair enough I'll come back. I made an appointment to come back and they had booked it so far out, but I still had to get it done anyway. I came back and got a different hygienist. She finished cleaning the bottoms and "ran out" of time to clean the top!! At this point, I was so frustrated because they charged me every visit and I was in school so I did not have time to be coming back and forth. I had to come back for a third time to finish the cleaning!! On top of that, I got an infection from the cleaning. I had to see Dr. Joshi about the infection (pericoronitis to be exact), and he told me it was because my wisdom teeth were coming in and gave me a syringe to clean with salt water. However, this was not the case because they never came in! I complained about it hurting, so in return he gave me free examinations (even though my insurance had already covered it). They never finished cleaning my top teeth. Also, since they knew I had insurance which covered some of the costs, they wanted to keep charging me. I've never been to a dentist where it took four visits only to have my bottom teeth cleaned with an infection! Very disappointed. Avoid at all cost.

I have been Dr Roy Hudson's client for 30 years. He cares so much. I remember he became very annoyed the first time he saw me. "What butcher did this to you?" He asked with great concern. My teeth were in terrible shape and I knew it. I was terrified of dentists because my childhood one was brutal. It took a lot of hard work to establish stable dental health and he and his team were so supportive and welcoming the whole time. (I was not always the ideal patient). I've referred many people to him over the years, sometimes emergencies with complete strangers from my workplace, a hotel.
